What is the minimum that's needed for the project to continue?  What's the target?

If you don't get the minimum, will you refund and call the project failed?  What will happen if you reach the minimum?

Any bank would give them millions of dollars in credit if they do 35% monthly, I mean come on!
1142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.6 on: September 19, 2017, 11:15:47 AM

820H/s+ on 470 here. Tongue

Yeah... sure...
You just forgot to mention that you have custom modded memory straps and private optimized kernel.
Without going above 1180MHz core and using ETH straps on public miners (GG is the most stable for now) I'm not able to see more than 730H on 470

EDIT: wtf... my mistake... I've just replied to some ancient post

730 h/s is not to be spat on, the 470 is a relatively cheap card after all and it does much better than more expensive gpus.

Can anyone explain what happens when no blocks are found for 60 minutes? for example, right now, block 8288 was found @ 2017-09-18 16:12:43, current time is 17:22.  is there some kind of maintenance being performed? i feel like i'm missing something.

Sounds like something is broken, block should've been found by now with this much net hash and difficulty.

but what could be broken?  with the decentralized nature, what single component could fail to cause it to stall?  no nodes online?

what do i have to do to set up a node?

Shit code, that we all run to have it decentralized by nature

Weirdly enough, AEON, another low activity coin, has been stalled for the last 40 minutes.

https://aeon-pool.com/

edit: 30 mintues

I'm seeing that the last block was found 4 hours ago. i'm not really sure what that means for my miner that's been running all day. does that mean i'm just wasting electricity?
Yes that's exactly what it means.

JSEcoins
Good looking project you should check it
Their registration is broken, off to a great start.

You know that fluffypony is running globee? https://globee.com/about

Interesting... Why didn't he just fund it himself then? Tongue

Better yet why wont he just buy all monero to make us all rich.

Can someone please explain to me, why at all such a proposal should be funded?

Everyone is free to do with their money whatever it please them. He can donate to found this proposal or ignore it. It is their money. Solely for them to decide what to do with it. This is beauty of real crypto as it is Monero.

As I understand if this project will be successful. 4500 XMR collected here will eventually return to the Monero developers found. Plus, there will be plenty other positive points. But to list them is way better to wait a year.

Already raised 43.70% in 10 hours! That's fucking amazing, I never would have thought. The monero community rocks!

Could ETH or BTC implement features which will make Monero obsolete?

I've heard the Ring?? algorithm is the best there is for privacy.
No, Monero makes ETH and BTC obsolete.

1157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 18, 2017, 01:49:35 PM
I actually never saw a single 1080Ti running without crashing with mem above +500. Most of them have problem with +400...
OTOH , the only 2 GTX-1080 (Not Ti) I have can run with +700 without crashing.
When everyone will understand that there is no +XXX on one GPU equal to +XXX on another?
Especially if you set P0 state.

Never, people are throwing some offsets of mem core and +% of power limit not knowing that these numbers alone meaning absolutely nothing. On one card +100 could be 1950 on other 1800mhz even the very same model. Also most of the high end cards(no matter the chip series) go different default TDP. For example, lowest 1070 got, 151W TDP, Jetstream got 170W, Zotac Amp Extreme got 250W, so 60% of each is totally different number!

Conclusion: People are jsut stupid and dont realize that little knowledge could increase their efficiency and profit!

About the Hash refinery pool and yiimp clones, best you can do is to mine algos with short block, like skein, nist5 and neoscrypt. WhyTF they mine lyra2v2 hitting 10 blocks per day, or skunk hitting five blocks per day or X17 hitting 30 blocks per day when neoscrypt for example is hitting 20-30 per hour! Use this: http://pool.hashrefinery.com/site/multialgo. If you want to play lottery there better places.

Bet almost nobody disable P2 states on their Nvidia cards...
Disabling P2 on 5x1080ti (3 diff brands) nets me 1-2% increase in hashrate at expense of 2-3% power usage - not worth for me, especially that it matters mostly in memory intensive algorithms which, as all we know, 1080ti are lackluster with.
For Your point with different values for different brands - almost any comment here, about OC settings includes card's brand. It's really important because different manufacturers uses different clocks/memory speeds, overclocks them by factory and so on.
There are even differences between 3 cards I own from same manufacturer (MSI Gaming X) Base mem clock of 2 are 11124 while the third one's 11117mh. It's not a lot of diff but still. It'd affect OC settings of those cards. And about TDP value, it's ALWAYS different between brands. I was shocked first, when I've assumed 250W for 100% TDP Zotac Amp Extreme Core -  PFFFFF, 320W easily Cheesy
So basic conclusion:
-Always get different OC settings between different brands
-Always check THOSE EXACT CARD TDP value
-Even between one manufacturer's production cards could have different base clocks AND could OC differently

Or save yourself the trouble and buy the same gpus.

Clearly both of dont know what you are talking about. Which was the reason for my post.

Clearly you have your head so far up your ass it is affecting your ability to read.

Please contribute to this FFS as much XMR as you can afford as donation.
Even if it is 1 XMR, if all of us contribute something we can reach this goal.

Donation? How come we don't get some love back from the fees this FFS will collect?

For those of you running Linux GPU rigs, what are you using as mining software? I'm using SimpleMining so my choices are restricted to:

XMR-AMD-STAK: This throws errors when I try to connect it to Mine77, something about invalid difficulty target.
Claymore 9.1: Refuses to mine anything that's not on its list of coins (XMR etc) which is too bad as it's the quickest for Cryptonite. No update for Linux, won't take the allcoins parameter.
SG-Miner: Works, not as quick as either of the others, seems to restart several times every hour.

Really wish there was a workaround for Claymore.

Give the open source ccminer 2.2.1 a try
