Someone should make a thread where we guess exact prize. I am quite certain price will go over USD ATH before the end of the year. If it will go beyond to $200 is also possible but that is not so sure thing anymore. If it will stay above $200 on Dec.31? I would give 25% chance to that. its such a shame the older 280s and hawaii cards are such good quality and well made, the newer
rx seeries are total trash quality wise i have like 10 cards that need to be ramed, from exploding capcitors or broken fans.
Maybe you got unlucky. None of my Polaris and Pascal cards failed after more than a year of non-stop mining. I did have a couple of Tahiti cards fail though back in the day, there were problems with VRMs overheating on Gigabyte 79x0 and Sapphire 79x0 cards. and the best part is that you can buy them second hand for 100-150$ without fear of them ever dying on you,all you need to do is change fans on some of them eventualy
This only works if your electricity is cheap and you have plenty of it. And only if the profits are high, like they are now. I did play with the idea of buying those old cards used, but after taking everything into consideration it just didn't make sense. When a new 1060/3 (with 3 year warranty) can be had for less than $200, buying old power-hungry Radeons for $100-150 without any warranty... nope, ain't worth it. Your mileage might vary, of course. Depends on power cost and if you need to optimize your space or not. 7950/70/280x are really decent equihash miners, say 300sols for an acceptable wattage once modded I have mine mining monero, they're not that power hungry on cryptonight only pulling 1kw with 4 7990's or 8 280x more than make up for the power cost. On equihash they do get super hot. I use the nvidias to mine shitcoins for quick bitcoins for trading. |

I really like the second amendment with the USA civilians having more than 50% of the world's guns alone and being able to use it well, I think any country will be hesitant to attack any country with such a military force. It's hard to say no to such epic pumps though. As much as I hate BCH and everyone supporting it, I did enjoy riding the bull all the way up to 0.5 and even more when I shorted it all the way down to 0.14. But yeah this fork is not doing anyone any favors other than day traders. So you hit the nail on the head in both directions? Exited before the flash crash at 0.5 and shorted down till 0.14? People will complain about anything and try to take it completely out of context. You don't like the work, don't use it. Pretty straightforward. Stick it to man by not using something they worked on!
At least Claymore is not a hack like sp_, he's not ripping off open source projects and even has his own compiler rather than using cuda/opencl. He did. Bro I don't think you know how programming works. 'Ripping off' is completely subjective. Everyone copies everyone elses work. If they aren't copying verbatim, they copy and swap some variables, maybe change some classes and move things around so it looks different, at the most basic level people look to see how they figure out a solution and simply rewrite it in their own work. It's like the news. Everyone copies everyone else, they just present it in a different way, with a different tone, and emphasize different things. At the end of the day it's basically the same thing (except for the rare outlet that does a little more digging). The only difference is, some people are really good at changing that presentation compared to others. The stuff SP is copying tends not to even be what earns you money either, he has GPL violations for things like stratum code. If it was JUST copying it wouldn't be any faster. Remember the whole debacle where Claymore was accused of using someone elses work, not crediting them, GPL violations, etc? He finally admitted to it and 'rewrote it'. Rewriting isn't remaking the wheel from the ground up, it's literally changing what it looks like enough where people wont bitch about it. Once you know how things work you essentially have the 'solution' to the problem, then it's all about dressing. There is no original artwork here after the initial release. That's probably true, but he didn't just fork a miner on github and employed his bag of tricks to make it slightly faster, then asked for "donations", unlike the OP here. I do believe Claymore puts a lot more effort than sp so his fees are justified. |

I have made an account on bit-z and i want to withdraw some btx coin. They ask for id verification , i send id but i blur my sensitive data and they won't verify because i blur. It is safe to send my id and selfie with my id to this exchange?
IMHO it's never safe to pass on government issued documents over the internet at all, regardless who the receiving party is. But it's not like you have a choice if you want to be verified. The problem is that i sent bitcoin to bit-z and now i can't withdraw it until i send my id-s with no blur. But i don't think is safe to send documents to any website. I agree with you, but your choices are limited, either say farewell to your bitcoins, or send them what they're asking. No 3rd alternative. |
