341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 19, 2017, 08:32:21 PM
Looks hacked to me. The language seems different (misusing words like "loose"), and I doubt that AP needs to be wasting time with earnings from a signature campaign.
I know another guy who frequently misuses "loose" and posts here as well, maybe there's a connection or a conspiracy! Anyone care to speculate?
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 19, 2017, 07:58:22 PM
what's the price going to be by dec. 31?

will we see $200?

Someone should make a thread where we guess exact prize.

I am quite certain price will go over USD ATH before the end of the year. If it will go beyond to $200 is also possible but that is not so sure thing anymore. If it will stay above $200 on Dec.31?  I would give 25% chance to that.
While BTC swings on waves in fork ocean no more $160-170. $200 unlikely. But I believe that XMR is undervalued coin and growth unavoidable. Time only

Welcome back, AP!

You have been missed...
I hope account is not hacked

Uncertainly as always

Hilarious. Surely you ask for money everytime you tell the time to a stranger on the street?
Have you ever "thrown some coins" (better be bitcoins) at the devs writing tens of thousands of lines of code for a cryptocurrency you use?
Why don't you shut the fuck up and see the first post on this page.

Wow... these trolls arrived fast and overpowered the whole thread with massive BS, I know it's for fun and lower entry point but you guys scare the noobs with your sarcasm and BS... stop with ISIS and other stupid shit please..
You believe they'll stop if you ask them nicely?
Anyway trolls are a good indication that BTX is doing something right Wink

This weekend pump is boring, I had popcorn ready but I will save them for next weekend.
Not so many suckers this week

Maybe, since Segwit2x is a no go, they can get Barry at DCG to hop on board. Doesn't he need to buy up some BCH anyway by January 1, 2018 to compensate his Coinbase customers?

Shouldnt the coinbase customers have their BCH from the august 1st HF snapshot? At least they should as long as CB didnt pull anything shady, which i have no reason to believe they did. I dont think CB would compromise their cash cow with something as stupid as stealing customer funds. thoughts?

All CB BCH funds are safe and no they didn't just sell it's just nonsense speculation

It is used by the BCH team to give them a reason to everyone to buy now before CB has to buy all the BCH back that they already own before it's released to all the customers in January with the risk of being sold for more BTC and causing a BCH crash

Would have been fucking hilarious if they did sell them. I glanced at some news that some people even threatened with a class action lawsuit for not getting their BCH from coinbase.
Looks like coinbase are holding the BCH nuke button

Xapo is next I think they are auto selling customers BCH funds and crediting in BTC on something like the 15th December if not withdrawn by the deadline don't know how much they own though

We will see what is going on with BCH price in the future. All these speculations are only gassing and nobody really knows what is going on behind the scene. Three months price was so law, under 500$ and nothing happening. I hope price will rice like price of BTC, too.
Rome was not built in a day, pumps are pumps, adjustments hurt like hell if you bought from the top, I do sympathize (not really no, burn! hardy harharhar)

its such a shame the older 280s and hawaii cards are such good quality and well made, the newer
rx seeries are total trash quality wise i have like 10 cards that need to be ramed, from exploding capcitors or broken fans.
Maybe you got unlucky. None of my Polaris and Pascal cards failed after more than a year of non-stop mining. I did have a couple of Tahiti cards fail though back in the day, there were problems with VRMs overheating on Gigabyte 79x0 and Sapphire 79x0 cards.
and the best part is that you can buy them second hand for 100-150$ without fear of them ever dying on you,all you need to do is change fans on some of them eventualy
This only works if your electricity is cheap and you have plenty of it. And only if the profits are high, like they are now. I did play with the idea of buying those old cards used, but after taking everything into consideration it just didn't make sense. When a new 1060/3 (with 3 year warranty) can be had for less than $200, buying old power-hungry Radeons for $100-150 without any warranty... nope, ain't worth it. Your mileage might vary, of course.

Depends on power cost and if you need to optimize your space or not.  7950/70/280x are really decent equihash miners, say 300sols for an acceptable wattage once modded
I have mine mining monero, they're not that power hungry on cryptonight only pulling 1kw with 4 7990's or 8 280x more than make up for the power cost. On equihash they do get super hot. I use the nvidias to mine shitcoins for quick bitcoins for trading.

Any news from dev team?
Thanks

https://twitter.com/rogerkver/status/932035026551758853

You should check the latest tweet from the owner of BCH. Roger is active on twitter so should follow him for latest news and update.

How many BTC he has and how he collected them

He had thousands something like 250000 its unknown now since hes burned many in supporting BCH and he got them by being a very early adopter when the reward was 50BTC and you could earn that in a day just by mining
I do hope he did burn them on BCH, but he probably got a lot of them back selling from the top. He's a criminal charlatan, but he's no idiot.

Did the developer start selling his coins? I do not want to believe it, I do not want to believe that developers can spoil such a wonderful project! What's happening?! Developers please respond. If you sell part of the coins, I think you should tell the community about it. Perhaps this is for listing on another exchange.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/tx.dws?178225.htm

better to sell now to avoid all kind of risk. that's why price dropped 50%+
But it did go 500% UP way too fast, didn't see anyone complaining then, on average the price was moving 0.001-0.002 on good days, then all of a sudden 0.005 then everyone wanted some. Pumps are great, but the adjustments do hurt, that's why you gotta be smart and never buy from the top.
353  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you have a gun? on: November 19, 2017, 02:03:35 PM
No i don't have but wishing to have one for self defense purporses only, but if you are a hot tempered person don't buy or wish a gun.
I really like the second amendment with the USA civilians having more than 50% of the world's guns alone and being able to use it well, I think any country will be hesitant to attack any country with such a military force.
That's technically paramilitary, but you do raise an excellent point that US citizens don't really need military to protect their sovereignty.

this is bitcoin trash! it will cost you your cash!

dont support this bs guys. if you buy into this you are fighting against bitcoin. we are all here for 2 things. holding cryptos and making money!

dont buy this. if it gos to 2k again dont care about that you can miss 1 pump just let it go!  sell your bitcointrash and never buy this again!

own the real bitcoin. dont own trash that could dump to $100 in 5 min.
everyone that loves crypto love bitcoin go think about it!  if you buy this or holding this you supporting attacks on bitcoin. dont be greedy you can miss 1 pump we have enough other coins that pump.

be a man stand upp! say no to trashcoin!

It's hard to say no to such epic pumps though. As much as I hate BCH and everyone supporting it, I did enjoy riding the bull all the way up to 0.5 and even more when I shorted it all the way down to 0.14. But yeah this fork is not doing anyone any favors other than day traders.

So you hit the nail on the head in both directions? Exited before the flash crash at 0.5 and shorted down till 0.14? Maybe you can lend me your crystal ball for a few days, thanks!
Me and dozens of other people, it was so obvious.

hi guys noob here:

Is it correct that i can mine BTG now but its on a testnet so the coins are worthless? When will it be on the Mainnet ?
It's on mainnet for a few days now, you've missed the boat, you're probably better off mining something else.

... more than 26 000 addresses for the Airdrop already registrated, that is mega.
I wonder how many of those 26k addresses actually have enough coins to be eligible for the airdrop. I believe people see the word 'airdrop' and assume it's all for free.

You guys are dumbasses. And he's making you more money in the process. Have you ever calculated how much Claymore is making per day? Yeah.

People will complain about anything and try to take it completely out of context. You don't like the work, don't use it. Pretty straightforward. Stick it to man by not using something they worked on!
At least Claymore is not a hack like sp_, he's not ripping off open source projects and even has his own compiler rather than using cuda/opencl.

He did.

Bro I don't think you know how programming works. 'Ripping off' is completely subjective. Everyone copies everyone elses work. If they aren't copying verbatim, they copy and swap some variables, maybe change some classes and move things around so it looks different, at the most basic level people look to see how they figure out a solution and simply rewrite it in their own work. It's like the news. Everyone copies everyone else, they just present it in a different way, with a different tone, and emphasize different things. At the end of the day it's basically the same thing (except for the rare outlet that does a little more digging). The only difference is, some people are really good at changing that presentation compared to others. The stuff SP is copying tends not to even be what earns you money either, he has GPL violations for things like stratum code. If it was JUST copying it wouldn't be any faster.

Remember the whole debacle where Claymore was accused of using someone elses work, not crediting them, GPL violations, etc? He finally admitted to it and 'rewrote it'. Rewriting isn't remaking the wheel from the ground up, it's literally changing what it looks like enough where people wont bitch about it. Once you know how things work you essentially have the 'solution' to the problem, then it's all about dressing.

There is no original artwork here after the initial release.

That's probably true, but he didn't just fork a miner on github and employed his bag of tricks to make it slightly faster, then asked for "donations", unlike the OP here. I do believe Claymore puts a lot more effort than sp so his fees are justified.

I have made an account on bit-z and i want to withdraw some btx coin. They ask for id verification , i send id but i blur my sensitive data and they won't verify because i blur. It is safe to send my id and selfie with my id to this exchange?
IMHO it's never safe to pass on government issued documents over the internet at all, regardless who the receiving party is.
But it's not like you have a choice if you want to be verified.

The problem is that i sent bitcoin to bit-z and now i can't withdraw it until i send my id-s with no blur. But i don't think is safe to send documents to any website.

I agree with you, but your choices are limited, either say farewell to your bitcoins, or send them what they're asking. No 3rd alternative.

Bitcoin Clashic is the True Vision(TM) of Satoshi said the man himself in my dreams.
Bitcoin is also his True Vision(TM), but different.
Bitcoin Cash is not True Vision(TM) but a copy of True Vision and hence not really a True Vison but instead a Pump Vision. Can be compared to chinese iPhone clone ePhone with SD card. Since everyone loves SD cards (right?) and cheap phones ePhone will be more successful than iPhone and Bitcoin Cash will surpass Bitcoin for the same reasons.
Who died and made you the arbiter of truth?

Hope BCH will have another quick bump, I am losing too much because I bought at 0.2 btc.
So don't keep it long, buy the dips sell the highs, if it landslides bellow 0.2 pull out and cut your loses. After the fork lend some BCH and short the shit out of it Cheesy

Can't say you weren't warned, but you BCH shills never listen and you're now bag holders of bunch of dicks. Too much hope in the 'flippening' is toxic, be smart, don't be sheep.
