1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 28, 2017, 12:24:35 PM
25hashcoins trying to bash monero makes me feel very comfortable about my investment, I don't know about you.

Trolls are always a good sign for Monero.

The last time they piled in was just before we went from 0.010558 up to three times that at the back end of August.

We just need a few more to prove the strength of the bullish sign.  One pathetic attempt isn't quite enough, but its a start!

Buy when the trolls arrive?
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v9.7 on: September 28, 2017, 12:19:43 PM
... I do not understand why many write "thank you for the work," "it will not be easy" and that kind of crap ...  Undecided

If we use the program from mr. Claymore  and do not specify the "-nofee 1" option, we become mr. Claymore's clients and pay him a 2% fee (ex. SSL conn...etc).
I think Mr. Claymore should tell us "thank you" ...? Right?  Huh

I, as an active mr. Claymor's client, have a number of questions for mr. Claymore:
1. How to verify the reliability of 2% of your rewards? Real indicators are 10% or even 15%. The information is taken from the number of allocated shares on the pool and the indicators of the miner.
2. Why when I specify the option "-nofee 1" does your program report that some optimizations are disabled? And how does disabling optimizations relate to your reward? Why?
3. How does the "-h" parameter affect performance? Your measurements, recomendations?
4.  Comments on the following message when your program is running:
cannot find block data:
{"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","result":null,"error":{"code":-1,"message":"Lowdifficultyshare"}}
cannot convert blob data
How does this affect performance? Is the action accepted?
5. Will there be comments to the comparisons of the performance of your miner and  other's?

Dev fee is with stratum difficulty 50000, says so when you start the miner, if you're mining on a pool with different stratum difficulty of course you'll get major variance in share count and the fee would appear to be 10-15%. However you need to be accustomed to the most basic aspects of mining in order to make such accusations.
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Iridium - Cryptonight PoW - NO Premine - Fair Launch - Low Supply - NEW! on: September 27, 2017, 04:03:02 PM
For the exchange donations, we currently have around $25 donated.
Please don't spam the domain donator with negative feedback, it may be an issue with his bank, or maybe just namecheap that got some info wrong, please don't be so quick to hate.

These goosy clowns got donations from iridium users and kept pledging for more money on reddit boards. U think everyone using that browser is as donative as u are? Nah majority would ignore u from the get go and move on. U and ur pals would donate because all of u get dividends directly from iridium fund.
WAT?
Look
https://blockchain.info/address/1F1mYp5Gf3HXJh1k5b3gkAGha3pyfpLDNk
Why DEV  spend bitcoin out of the wallet? where is the report where it goes? This donate wallet! DEV what u doing?

It's also my nicehash mining wallet haha, those are funds I mined myself Smiley
I'm a miner as well, you can check on nicehash to that address if you'd like, I won't scam anyone. I'm also mining for exchange funds.
Not enough entropy to generate a new address dedicated for donations?
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v9.7 on: September 27, 2017, 02:27:02 PM
No nvidia love. Sadly is refreshed my mining farm and own no amd. I am sure I am not the only one.

Not my fault you've put all your eggs in one basket, I still keep my 7990's which kick any recent nvidia's ass on cryptonight with 4 year old tech.

Any pictures of the actual hydro plant?
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 27, 2017, 09:21:07 AM
Desperately stuck with mining unknown coins for the 1080TIs now eh? Most available coins are no longer profitable enough for 1080TI compared to other GPUs.

Because of the high power consumption / power-profit ratio it appears mining is dead for the 1080ti. I'd rather sell my 1080TIs while they still have value then just buy the power efficient 1060. I mean come on, the 1060 is about 1/3 the price. You can buy 3 and double your ETH hash rate, for less power. Seems like a no-brainer.

The 1060s suck for everything else. You are way better off with rx 470s. And you can't get better hash/watt ratio than the 1080ti. But if you still want to sell them and buy 1060 PM me with a price I'll take them ;p

Sorry but better hash/watt ratio for what? Some shitcoin that will be worth 0 in the coming future? No thanks man. Sure take my 1080ti man. The burden is all yours.

Desperately stuck with mining unknown coins for the 1080TIs now eh? Most available coins are no longer profitable enough for 1080TI compared to other GPUs.

you probably need the money asap, most of us dont. We keep the coins until they reach a better price.
That card is obviously not for you. You should move on.

I actually don't need the money. Its a matter of looking at the big picture and accepting the fact that 1) 1080TIs profitability is dying and 2) your shitcoins will never be worth anything. I actually challenge you to tell us what those "better price" coins are. There are thousand of intelligent researchers out there everyday looking for the next most promising coin. When they find this, it is announced online and everyone buys it. I highly doubt 1 person like you can compete with all the experienced scouts and investors out there. Let me repeat, your shitcoins will never be worth anything. Pump and dump dump dump.

Put your GPUs where your mouth is, on my rigs!
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 26, 2017, 07:20:00 PM
It's important to mention that 1 year from now when Nvidia releases the next generation of cards, the 1080ti will be equivalent to a 2070, meanwhile the 1060 will be worse than a 2050
Why would they jump from 10xx series to 20xx?

GTX-1170 ? That make sense, unless Nvidia already announced the next cards.

1028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sweden considering a digital currency, bitcoin technology comes in mind. on: September 26, 2017, 06:03:46 PM
No! Don't dream of that!

Sweden is a communist country with some of the most aggressive tax policies in the world. I bet Sweden would rather outlaw BTC, or force all people to reveal what cryptocurrencies they own. The disappearance of cash in Sweden is because the government wants to control and record all transactions. Maybe they will create their own crypto, but you can be sure they will never allow the rise of a currency they can't control.

I thought they banned cash for good year or two ago for the reasons you've stated.

Tell me dickbrain, which one of these scripts "injects" anything?

That's it. You're muted.

Lets find a homeless person who cares.

Careful not to break an arm while jerking yourself off, if you got fed up with me just mute me, you don't have to make a public announcement about it like a fucking drama queer.

1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: September 26, 2017, 01:56:01 PM
Can somebody explain to me if what this guy claims is true or not, or how exactly does Monero work:

Did you even READ what Toknormal said?  There is no "Hopium" as you can SEE everything done on the blockchain, you simply can't TRACE it.  The Inputs and outputs are clear, Dash mixes by creating exactly the same denominations and entering them in the block chain at the same time, input = output and thus with one round, an output has 3 possible inputs.  Do this once, you have the same amount of "mixing" as Monero has.  But there is a possibility that the Masternode, who only gets chosen 1:4500 times, is spying, so we allow for as many rounds of mixing as you care to do.  After 8 rounds of mixing, even if someone can spy with 80% of the masternodes, the likelihood of seeing where funds are is minuscule.  And that's basically for the paranoid, because Masternodes are well distributed and all over the world.

In Monero, you can not see the blockchain.  Inputs and outputs are obfuscated in a mess.  Which by the way, how do you know there is no key to unravel?  Dash does this with logic, not mathematical trickery.  Who can know if there is a key to unravel a "one way encryption"?  This part I may be ignorant on, but as I can't understand it, I don't trust it.  They already had their system cracked a couple of years ago, with all previous transactions exposed, how do we know that won't happen again?  Dash uses pure logic and statistics.  With that, you can keep a transparent blockchain that can be audited to make sure it is functioning properly, that no extra coins were somehow inserted that weren't part of the rewards produced, etc...  It also allows for functions where a transparent blockchain is desirable, such as charities that want to show how their funds are spent, or the Core team, who do not mix their funds, and clearly show how they are spending funds so we can see if they are trustworthy or not.

And without the transparent blockchain, without this system of Masternodes, without the budget system, there could be no Evolution.  Evolution will be a completely decentralized yet easy to use system, like logging into your bank account, moving funds to different "accounts" and making payments as easily as Paypal.  ALL DECENTRALIZED!!!  No "3rd party service" which is what web wallets are, BTW, so know your funds are as at risk there as they are in an exchange.

Anyway, I hope this helps, if you still don't see the value, please stop shilling Monero here, you won't get anywhere with it with this audience.

Specifically interested about the part where he claims that an additional "master key" can be inserted into the protocol as a backdoor to reveal all public keys with it.

It seems like a lot of people are confusing Monero with Zcash's closed trusted setup.

Please explain.
Let me try to get this straight, he's trusting dash's masternodes to keep his anonymity, but doesn't trust monero because there might be some magic key that renders monero anonymity useless, without any hints or even far fetched theories that such key even exists? Great foundation for a religion, all glory to the monero magic key!

I just bought this domain: http://iridium.cc [Iridium CC = Iridium Crypto/Cryptonight Coin]
If you like this domain, I will give it to you. Smiley
That's a great domain, if you're giving it for the project, go ahead and PM me the details, and thanks again man! Smiley
You have a PM. Wink

This is the asshole that issued a charge back on a "donated" domain. Everybody leave him negative feedback because he's a dick.

The current algo I've been working on has a 30% speedup compared to the opensource on the gtx 1070. Might release later today.

This mod has been sold to a private donator and will not be resold..

Yay, way the go, power to the people! Oh wait..

I just started mining monero, is this site legit or should I stop using it?  http://www.monero-miner.com/ I want to know if others are using it and if they are earning from it real Monerao. I am trying it out for the first time today..
It's legit but they have a brutal 30% fee, it uses subpar javascript wasm miner that gets you 50% of the hashes a native miner can get. Check http://moneropools.com/ for real stratum pools where you can use native cpu miners as well as gpu.

Guys watch out, the moneropools link has a Js injector script.

What the fuck are you talking about knob?

Code:
<!-- jQuery -->
    <script src="vendor/jquery/jquery.min.js"></script>

    <!-- Bootstrap Core JavaScript -->
    <script src="vendor/bootstrap/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>

    <!-- Plugin JavaScript -->
    <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery-easing/1.3/jquery.easing.min.js"></script>

    <!-- Contact Form JavaScript -->
    <script src="js/jqBootstrapValidation.js"></script>
    <script src="js/contact_me.js"></script>

    <!-- Theme JavaScript -->
    <script src="js/freelancer.min.js"></script>
Tell me dickbrain, which one of these scripts "injects" anything?

I grow weary of the mental midgets intimating that this software developer is somehow a criminal.  Grow up.
Uhm yeah, they can be, if they rip off GPL'ed code they're obligated to provide the source otherwise they're in breach of the license. There were quite a few fiascos between major corporations over ripping off code. Like it or not it is the LAW.

Uhm, yeah, ...asshole, no shit.  You have any proof that this developer did that?  If not, thanks for the third grade legal lesson.

You're welcome my mentally challenged friend. Do you have any proof that I am making accusations against this developer? Or I am just pointing the obvious error in your statement that developers can't be criminals.
