701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: October 26, 2017, 01:09:11 PM
$6/day alternating between two obscure alts, but it wont last for long, multipools suck, sniffdog sucks, they ruin profitability because everyone is using them. Stick with algos not on multipools/sniffdog and profitability is quite good.

disable windows error reporting. open a admin console and run this script

reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting" /v DontShowUI /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

i've tried the following , now the windows error warning doesn't show at all , but neither the loop function works is there is a way to auto close the miner whenever it hang?

That's not fixing the problem, it's just removing the error warning. Good job sp, some fine chinese medicine right here!

Classic time waster, don't get your hopes high that you'll get to withdraw. The spins aren't even provably fair.

704  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Curse of open source on: October 26, 2017, 10:31:57 AM
Usability, safety and ergonomics of most cryptocurrency products is brutally substandard compared to any other software.

The course of open source is obvious.
If you do not leave your code open source you gain no trust.
If you do you risk being forked with an one-liner, so what is the point?

That is why billion plus projects like Neo, Ether do not have a decent wallet.
That is why Neo which is supposed to be the next best thing to sliced bread displays your private key and saves it unencrypted in a file.
That is why Mycelium can not implement Segwit addresses for months under HD wallets which probably requires two lines of code.
This is why there is no decent Android bitcoin wallet and the list goes on.....

Is there a way out of this curse?
That is the mantra of Microsoft and Mac Fanboys. Open source is weak. So how about your antivirus. It is not open source but most of them even anti-malware are crappy to say the least. Nobody is even sure if they are really removing what they are suppose to remove. Nobody is bold enough to sue this fraudsters. Most microsoft oriented softwares are frauds but nobody is complaining.

Microsoft has changed a lot over the past few years. Today they have "the largest number of the top 500 open source projects for any one entity" (1)... even more than Google and Redhat.

1. https://thenewstack.io/microsoft-shifting-emphasis-open-source/

Which means that they are exploiting open source. Which is admission of defeat. They are not exactly the pioneers. So why worship the Microsoft copy cats. When all they do is copy the open source concepts invented by the volunteers.

Exactly, M$ can eat a double dick sandwich.

Site down :/

Yes, it seems down to me, too. Unfortunately this happens from time to time, almost once a month recently. I hope they fix it soon.

Did the admin explain previously why it was down? Is it under maintenance or it was under attacked? I hope it's only under maintenance because I still got some bits hanging there  Sad

I have a lot of bits hanging there... . And the Kraken exchange is now also down... .

Kraken works for me.

Never put eggs in one basket

Don't put them in a basket at all, eat them right away. Then you have nothing to lose.

708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: October 25, 2017, 08:00:45 PM
I don't think humanity will survive after 50 years let alone bitcoin after 100 years. Who cares, I'll be long dead by then.
709  Other / Meta / Re: Account hacked running an ICO please tag him on: October 25, 2017, 06:52:46 PM
You should contact the mods so they might assist
However, if he can't prove ownership of the account, who's
to say this isn't a revenge post?  That's why you need to stake an
address from which you can sign a message.

I'm not saying the claim here isn't true,  because there have been so
many hacked accounts lately that it probably is.  But just like trying to
reclaim an account...you need proof.

This is a good indication that the OP is telling the truth though

710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 25, 2017, 06:48:23 PM
As aminorex astutely pointed out, the market won't turn until the bulls capitulate. In the past, the appearance of trolls and FUD was a good indicator of the tides changing, but such market patterns tend to collapse as soon as they're recognized. KeyJockey's post indicates a level of short-term uncertainty that leads me to believe we're about to see the next move up. But then again, I thought that was going to happen three weeks ago and I was wrong.

Welp, if it was easy to predict the market we'd all be millionaires. The line between trading and gambling is almost nonexistent.

SCAM POOL

Yes
They lie on hashrate - stay away from this pool

i use few pools before this and have hash average 1900 - 2000 hash
on this pool for 1 week i have average 1700 - very very pool
and see few block not add reward to my account

STAY AWAY

Bullshit, been mining there for a full year, sure they had some issues with pool hoppers on few occasions but otherwise they've been nothing but stable and the rewards are steady and correct.

714  Other / Off-topic / Re: My Great Talk with the God on: October 25, 2017, 04:02:01 PM
The greatest place that God talks to us all is through the Bible. The Bible is God's words to all people.

God talks to people in their minds and spirits. But these talks are not for other people to hear, except if they match what the Bible says.

The whole Bible is written to explain about Jesus Christ and salvation, so that people might come to believe in Jesus, and be saved to live with God, forever, in Heaven, and not be destroyed in Hell.

If anyone expresses something he says that God has spoken, and the things he expresses don't talk about or point to Jesus, whatever that person says is at least questionable. It may even be something a demon told him to speak. Or it may simply be his own ramblings.

Cool
Which Bible have you read? All I got from that book is that God is a needy jealous little cunt that punishes you for the most trivial things. Yeah I don't really like that God, I'll be forking my own thank you.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 25, 2017, 02:39:23 PM
Hey Guys:

I'm posting this today just in case it's helpful to anyone else... odd as it may seem, in this day and age of everything being constantly 'online' I feel like some of y'all here are actually "friends", even though none of us have ever met, LOL.

I've gotten a lot of benefit from the conversations and advice here over the past couple years and want to say THANKS again to everyone for that, most of all.

Maybe it's just me, maybe just some personal reaction, but... lately... I'm just BURNED OUT.

Srsly can't cope with all this shit, what's happening in the crypto world lately.

It's just too much, LOL.  Every day some new goddamn drama and crisis and change and OMG OMG what will we do, what will happen, aaaaah  aaaaahhh Tongue

I gotta step back or my head'll explode.

Doesn't help, of course, that I sort of fucked up bad and damaged my "stack" fairly severely recently JUST WHEN things turned down after the epic RUN of ALTS this year, since around March, and as the "alts" (especially XMR after August 21st POP) recently have taken such a big HIT, just as BTC started rallying so hard ahead of all this goddamn fucking "fork drama" going on.  And FFS it's NOT EVEN OVER YET, it'll be going on STILL thru probably Nov and into Dec I guess...?  Sad

SO... can't deal, man.  Srsly.  Gotta step back... I gotta TRY and fucking detach at least for a while.

I think what I'm gonna do here is just lock down ALL my various crypto coins into secure COLD PAPER WALLETS, print a few copies and save 'em 2-3 places, then DELETE EVERYTHING crypto related from my computer and just try and STOP THINKING about this shit all day every day 24/7.

Then maybe in a year or so, come back and check the paper wallets and find it's all worth over $1,000,000... OR it's all gone to shit and totally worthless.

Whateva'... LOL

Probably won't come to THAT, probably just need a few days or a couple weeks away to get *clear* again, but... Jeez it's just too much, ya know?

Anyone else feeling like this, just wanted to post and say, "Me too, man! It ain't just YOU".  In case that helps Smiley

Anyway thanks again, everyone.  I'm sure I'll still be around reading here, at least LURKING even if "quiet".  This isn't some "goodbye" or anything like that but seriously I just gotta rachet shit DOWN a notch or two.

Best wishes to everyone, and maybe an early "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Holidays" to all... JUST IN CASE I do end up "out" for more than a couple months LOL

You need a vacation man. Take it easy, travel somewhere, refill your batteries then come back fresh. It wont be the end of the world if the whole crypto market collapsed.
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Survey! Investing in ICO on: October 25, 2017, 02:22:30 PM
Once regulators step in to fix this ICO mess the bubble will burst everyone will dump their ETH and that would be the end of the whole ICO era, that or a fatal bug in smart contracts will have the same effect.
