661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - BLOOM - ONLINE - new virtual fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: November 01, 2017, 11:21:06 AM
For the upcoming BTC snapshot (block 492820) that will translate to 1 BTX for every 2 BTC.

Will this work for new SEGWIT addresses (beginning in 3XXXXXXXXXXXXX)?
It is currently not possible to sign a message from such an address and the previous BTC claiming service required that you sign a message to prove ownership of the address.

How will this 2nd snapshot and claim work s the Dev roadmap is unclear (talks about private keys but to be honest I am not putting my BTC private key into a BTX client.)
First, Sorry to tell you but it's 1BTC:0.5 BTX
Second, where is the problem? You can just move your BTC after the snapshot and export the key of your now empty address. No risks.
But since the ratio with 0.5BTX (~0.0005BTC) for 1BTC is very low ATM, I don't think you are in hurry, because at the moment it's obviously not worth much and you are will be able to grab it every time you want in the future.

About Segwit addreses I don't know if they just translate, but since Segwit is activated it just should.

First sorry to tell you, you got everything wrong, 1 BTX for every 2 BTC equals 1 BTC for 0.5 BTX, it is basic math, you should've learned that in school. If you're that bad at math, you shouldn't be in crypto.
Segwit addresses are P2SH they do not have a corresponding private key so you can't sign messages with it. The ratio is not low especially not for long term bitcoin holders and expect a drasic price decrease after we claim our BTX from our bitcoins.

Here's a gift for the ti fan boys that got me $6/day per card until the BTX price crashed.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=749541.0 Mine it solo until you reach less than 4 blocks a minute then switch to BTX with sp mod 2 leak and wait for ANI diff to drop (fat chance of that happening if everyone is raping it), should get about $4 a card still.

I don't understand your message. This coin is dead, no?

Well someone who can understand my message can kill it indeed, not much in buy orders on cryptopia and the difficulty is very low. I'm done with it as I've found more profitable forgotten shitcoins to mine with low diff.

I just saw that the last lottery draw results (LOTTERY ROUND 126), one of the lucky winner (#5) has only TWO LOTTERY TICKETS and he/she won 0.11908959 BTC, wow that was very lucky!! This is why I always join the lottery every hour!!

Although your chance of winning the lottery is very very small, it's not zero. As far as I remember a few weeks ago someone with only 10 tickets won the lottery's big prize - about 2 BTC!

yes, I saw that one too (LOTTERY ROUND 120) he/she won 2.16 BTC with just 10 tickets out of 296,694,394 total tickets for that week..
it was unbelievable win! and pure luck! so goodluck to us and hopefully my average of 10,000 lottery tickets can win me some btc.. Smiley
Been playing for months with 60k tickets, never won anything, yet some new account with 2 tickets won 0.11908959 BTC last week Sad
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: November 01, 2017, 10:18:41 AM
MoneroForCash.com has been redesigned and updated

Hello Monerians - I'm the admin for MoneroForCash.com. MoneroForCash has been serving the Monero community since August of 2016. Although the site enabled buyers and sellers to trade Monero for cash, Money Orders, gift cards, etc., the site had a dated appearance and limited features.

Reddit user /u/tficharmers (https://www.reddit.com/user/tficharmers) has graciously designed and donated an updated user interface for the site, and like before, no JavaScript is used, nor are traceable Ads or analytics. It's responsive and looks as good on your mobile as it does on your laptop.

In addition to the updated design, the site now lets you set your Monero/fiat exchange rate to your desired fiat currency, and we also have added the ability to rate trades.

And, as before, user funds are never stored on our site so it's impossible for us to steal your funds. Even if our site is hacked, your funds are safe since all trading is peer-to-peer. Additionally, we can't absolutely determine that you and another party completed a trade as a result of advertising on our site because we're not privy to any transaction details between users.

Check out our new site, and buy/sell Monero for cash or other assets.

https://moneroForCash.com

Very nice looking site, too bad Us gov is tracking down sellers, I.E Localbitcoins. I doubt it won't be long before we see the same on the Monero side as well.

Could use precious metals as an intermediary for P2P exchanges.

  • You purchasse precious metals on a website with your credit card or w/e payment method. Put my P.O. box as the destination.
  • Send me the order and tracking information.
  • I release the monero.
  • The metals arrive and I sell them on craigslist for a small additional profit.

Side steps the criminal banking system and also avoids the problems with cash in the mail (which is always assumed to be drug money). Does anyone know any other way to get fiat from P2P without going through the banking system and without sending off big red flags in the post office?

Yes, meet in person and exchange cash for crypto.

Should i buy 3x 1080ti or 4 1070ti ? any idea ?
Buy vega

You go with shitty vega you troll.

Yeah quite shitty the vega with 2048 bit memory bus and memory easy algos getting ASIC'ed by x10 Baikal with a mere firmware update, good buy the ti with its awesome 352 bit bus.
1. It's thread about mining specific on 1080ti. Please stop spaming it with shitposts.
2. As you can see there's nothing released by Baikal right now, there's rumours that it'll be included in next batch(not firmware update).
3. What Your precious Vega can? Mine monero with 400W at wall or getting 3-4MH/s in ETH by huge increase in energy used?
4. As been said before. It's 1080ti specific. If You don't own one, don't have anything to say, take your '2/3 words nothing-to-contribute posts' and go to forum spam section Smiley
Vega is doing 2.1kh/s xmr with only 150watt or 46mhs eth with the same 150watt. Or 45mhs eth+220lbr with 210wat.
This is stable coin profits and you don't need to always seek new coin to mine like with 1080ti where zec is only stable now.
Vega is cheaper, more energy effective and ~equal gross profit comparing to gtx1080ti.
I have both.
nVidia is the only ZEC and new shitcoins queen.
Careful, you'll be accused for SPAMing for speaking the TRUTH.

Who died and made you a moderator of this thread?
And my precious Vega will stand the test of time with fast memory bus to continue mining coins without ASIC competition. Sure it needs driver update and optimizations done specifically for it but it was released quite soon and those kinks will be worked out. The ti on the other hand wont stand the test of time and will be worthless for mining in a year or so. The guy asked what to buy NOW, sure the ti was king few months ago, but not anymore.
Did someone have to die for me to point that You're spaming? Lol.
Vega has it's advantages. Just take Your first sentence and change '.' to 'but'. Then... Everything before 'but' is worthless. Hence it's disqualifying Your answer because buying NOW something that COULD be optimized - it's not best idea.
Also how did You came up to claim that 1080ti will be obsolete for mining in year? 980ti's are still mining, do You know when they were released?
Because the only thing that can keep the ASIC away is memory intensive operations. For the time being at least. And the Ti with its 352bit bus wont be able to cut it.

fyi, i didnt get any LUX for this miner (nor miner tips)

But your pool has 30% of the lux global hashrate. With 2% fee are  you getting a profit every day (yiimp.eu)
Running a pool costs money, it is nothing like selling software, but you very well know that just trying to distract people from your thievery.

Just ask yourself why JP Morgan is implementing their solution and not Monero's solution in their blockchain ledger

Maybe this is an answer?

https://twitter.com/zooko/status/863202798883577856?lang=en

So Zooko admits Zcash isn't private after all - Jeez.
Haha, I wondered why the JP Morgan boss decided to slate Bitcoin too - was wondering if there was an ulterior motive

Traceable and private, like a virgin prostitute.

680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 27, 2017, 02:53:37 PM
Monero is alright but can someone explain me what chance it stands against Zcash? I think Zcash has already proved that they use by far the most superior cryptography. And if you don't believe me, you don't have to. Just ask yourself why JP Morgan is implementing their solution and not Monero's solution in their blockchain ledger, or why Ethereum is implementing the Zcash technology and not the Monero technology? I have nothing against Monero but it looks to me like everything is against that coin, what are the chances of success when developers come up with real innovations. That is already a good proof that is reflected in the price of the currency, Zcash is far more valuable than Monero, so the market has spoken regarding that topic. Monero has to implement some real alternative to even come close to compete with Zcash. I wish the team best of lack, we need competition in the space because it pushes us to improve our service and products, I hope it does the same for Monero.

This is why zcash is a failure https://twitter.com/zooko/status/863202798883577856?lang=en Does not do what it says on the tin. It's either private, anonymous and secure or it's not, there is no middle ground.
