Hi!

Pretty sure this is a ridiculous question for you guys but i´m pretty new in mining (especially in monero mining).
I´m using claymore  Miner and everything is working stable and fine.
Also the rigs Performance is (i think) okay... 8x sapphire nitro rx 580 8gb with roundabout 5700-5800h/s with sucking ~940W from wall.

The only weird Thing is that the miner shows me lots (i mean really lots) of "Dev Fee Share Found" Messages.
I mean nearly every line says Dev Fee. wtf!?

Is this normal? On the other side nanopool.org tells me roundabout "correct" hash power.
Are there any hints regarding this question?

You can disable the fee as a trade off to allegedly slower miner with -nofee 1 but I really don't notice any difference on pool side. Or you can be a dick about it and use something like netsed to replace the dev's address with your own as shares are submitted Cheesy

845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 17, 2017, 03:39:08 PM
I am a speculator.  I do use Monero to buy things.  But I also buy it to hold it because I think it has the potential to be worth much more in the future.  Unfortunately for me I have lost almost all my XMR holdings.  I know it's popular to talk about boating accidents... but I just keep mine on USB keys, and then I leave them in pants pockets and wash them and then dry them (I wonder which part of that does the true destroying?) so the private keys are gone and my dozens of XMR are lost.

But I keep trying!

To continue my recent trend of "talking my book"...  I am taking one LAST (seriously... cut me off after this one, I can't make it home if I have another) dip into my precious BTC pile to supplement my XMR holdings.  I have entered one last time (I SWEAR IT THIS TIME I REALLY DO) @ .0168 - .017.

Wish me luck!  Let's see if can not lose these too.

You know one of the things I bought with my monero is a Cryptosteel. Wink  Another was a Ledger Nano S.

Water damage doesn't sound too bad, have you attempted to recover some data?
846  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: October 17, 2017, 03:20:46 PM

It seems that once they mark a coin for maintenance, it is gone for good. Never seen a coin going live from maintenance.

Maintenance mode is also turned on if coin code need to be updated to the new release. Personally have very possitive experience with Cryptopia team.

Same here for the most part, however a lot of coins are in maintenance for weeks if not months and are not marked for delisting. 1337 just went into maintenance mode more than a week ago and I had a deposit just when the wallet broke. It shouldn't take weeks to restart/resync a wallet if its facing tx issues or for a mere client update, it's just negligent, everyone loses, clients can't make deposits/withdrawals and cryptopia can't take their well deserved low fees. Quick count shows 19 wallets in maintenance that are not getting delisted, it's quite substantial.
847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v10.2 on: October 17, 2017, 02:38:19 PM
Anyway to have vega 56/64 mine with 2 threads with this miner? Seems as though XMR STAK AMD can do it and achieve around 1800h-1900h per card.

better stick with xmr stak amd, or the new xmr miner that came out...forget the name just off the top of my head.  claymore will probably address this in v11, but for now VEGA is better mined with something else.  I get almost 1900 not pushing the mem too hard on 56, rock stable.
That's amazing, how much power do they pull?

Man you're so petty, petty with a superiority complex, and you can take this to your doctor to prescribe some prozac.

Like I said earlier I'm not here to be liked or to prove that I am right, I'm here to make some money and that involves playing with developer's huge inflated egos to my advantage, don't hate the player man hate the game.
I got nothing better to do apart to watch my miners and post stuff here, you on the other hand instead of arguing with someone who has 'asshole' in his username should be working on getting your pussy pool finished.

yup ...

No thanks man I don't swing for the same team, I don't judge if you do though, it's 2017 after all.
If you're doing it for the love of it why not open source everything? So the community can improve and learn from it?

and have 'a dev' copy our code and 'improve' it and resell the work? ...

yup - thats gonna happen batty boi ...

look - if you are attacking my sexuality which you know nothing of - then at least be a little more accurate ... i mean - just because you are married to your twin - doesnt mean your kids are going to be two headed single fingered six toed imbeciles like their parents ... does it? ...

#crysx
Yes exactly, because those "devs" are not fooling themselves that they're doing it because they love it so much, they want to make some money, which is more fair than your disillusion that you're somehow helping the community with pool locked optimized miners.
I didn't start with the playground insults buddy, you did, just following through.

and we SELL our miner? ... NO! ...

do we 'quarantine' our miner to our pools? ... YUP! ...

can ANYONE use ANY miner on our pools? ... YUP! ... except when rune blocks it - and people have to hack spmod miner to use on our pools ...

do we charge a HUGE fee on our pools? ... NUP! ... 0.7% ... let me spell that out for you ... ZERO POINT SEVEN PERCENT ...

are we making a quarter of a million dollars like rune has in his 'donation' btc wallet? ... NUP! ...

does our money come from other sources? ... YUP! ...

so crysx is actually telling the truth about WHY they are doing all this? ... DAMN RIGHT! ...

so you see - there is little substance in what you consider to be the truth - and the weight that is the ACTUAL truth ...

our miner is free - and for the BETA that it is - we quarantine it to minimize the issues found when being used on other pools so that we can get as close to the most stable miner we can ... THEN optimize it - so we can use it elsewhere IF we deem that to happen ... and at 0.7% pool fee - which pays a princely sum of just barely the cost of the servers in the cloud - then we should be making as much as rune then if what you say is true ... we should ONLY be in it for the money ... WRONG! ... AGAIN! ...

so its THAT difficult for you to get through your skull that we dont do this 'for the money' ... you simply cant fathom that we are nothing like you - or rune - or anyone else that is greed driven in this industry? ...

well - there is no way to knock down a thick brick wall like that ... unless you have a bulldozer ...

watch the next year - and see what we have been building ... and exactly WHO and WHAT has come on board with us ...

our new technologically stable and advanced - bulldozer ...

nuff sed ...

#crysx

Great, post that in your own thread because it is off topic here and I couldn't care less about your business plan.

what are the ideal overclock setting for zcash, is there a way to get stable 800+ sols ?..

Even if you have water cooling on your cards you can hardly surpass 800 sols.
You have to play with your cards and overclock core as much as you can.

Heard rumors there's a privately developed miner for a large farm that can push +1k sol/s on the ti, don't know if its true or not though.

Why yiimp pool for BTX is down more hours a day ? SP pls ? .

Use supernova they got 1% fee anyway.

Switch to EU server works fine .

we are almost finished our new server build ...

when that happens - we will have an even more solid infrastructure to cater for our pools - including btx ...

CWI-Pool system is growing by the week ...

so is the rest of the systems we are building ...

#crysx

Yeah we'll keep our GPUs idle until you finish your pussy pool lock.

you do that ...

considering for btx we have approx 10% of the worlds hashrate right there ...

and our next revision of the miner will be faster and more stable the current ...

and pussypool? ... hehehe ... we will see who the pussy is when we start releasing all we have been working on the last few months - gazzathebutthole ...

#crysx

Boohoo 10%, supernova has 50%

The Bitcoin Gold (BTG) initial coin distribution method is exactly the same as that used by Bitcoin Cash (BCH). All Bitcoin holders who possess BTC private keys on October 25 (block 491 407) will receive Bitcoin Gold on the rate of 1 BTC = 1 BTG (If you have 20 BTC you will receive 20 BTG). You need to control BTC private keys in order to make Bitcoin Gold transactions.
