1161  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY WORLDWIDE]Avalon miner 200 GH/s 1.45 BTC PSU+Shipping IN STOCK! on: February 12, 2014, 12:27:55 PM
Now the hash fluctuates from 50-170. Didn't really do anything asides from restart the miner. I'll try some other pools and see if I can get better averages.

I'm wondering what folks are seeing for hash rates...  I'm showing 170-200 on the cgminer stats...  but only seeing half or less than half at the mining pool stats (like 60-95).   (and yes, I know the pools average contribution stats over time; this has been consistent over the past several hours).

Is anyone seeing this?

Update:  Similar results between 2 different pools on 2 different days (several hours in each pool).   Thoughts?

Interesting, can these be directed to bfgminer like the old blades, maybe you should try that and see what hash rate bfgminer reports.

1166  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: iMiner -- the really smallest and coolest BTC miner in the world on: February 09, 2014, 05:25:19 AM
I got .000001 BTC that says this ends up being a shamble. About a year ago i ordered a bunch of custom 4 gig usb flash drives with our company logo on them and they looked exactly and i do mean 100% incidental to the "miner" in this picture. My apologies if i am wrong, i have not done any homework into the company itself, i am just making an observation based on past history.

Selling flash drives as miners  Shocked It was only a matter of time i suppose.  Roll Eyes

I'm in the same order group as you if I'm not mistaken. This was sobering as I did the maths and Marto would owe me an additional 400ghz to to currently earn what I would have if he delivered within his 4 week window. I doubt there will be any type of customer care here, he already got what he came for. Even buying with paypal is a huge risk as seen by the Marto/btcminer84 fiasco.

Yeh, its quite some hit, I really think its time that some offer was made. However just getting the GH paid for, seems a huge issue at the moment.

Its a real shame as I believe they are good products and I think martin is really good at the technical aspects of his projects.

Unfortunately, I believe anyone making future purchases should seriously consider time dependent escrow arrangements.

What about my order ? A response to my PM would be nice..
I asked speedy to send me all info they have including courier company on your side.
Also asked for a copy of the signed waybill if it is delivered.
IF it is lost the sending is insured and I'll send new gear.

Best Martin

Thank you for a response, If it has not actually been delivered and speedy can provide the courier company details please PM me, and i will try to trace further from my side, I have checked with the local Auspost already so i doubt it was them.

Am not sure this will work ( i dont have my ant yet)

but my plan is ( it may help you )

I have an old router, that I shall set to 192.168.2.1 (or whatever)

connect my PC by dhcp and the ant to my old router.

Make the necessary changes in the ant for my normal network with a static IP ( all my gear has static IP's so i know where they are).

reconnect PC and Ant to my home network.

Well, if he is living the good life with a garage full of mining gear that we paid for, it's morally correct to seize it. Forget the romanian police, they dont give a shit. he's romanian right? people knows where he lives (most likely)

has anyone tried physically tracking him ? can anybody prove that he received the chips ? and that the boards were manufactured locally, as he said?

is there any pictures of the rigs? or did he just convert it all into fiat and moved to beverly hills?
I can not confirm that he received them, but I have a very reliable PM that confirms 800+ chips where sent to him.
I shall not post it publicly but if you want to see then PM me.

I am not aware of any manufacturing but there was a shady character trying to sell 1k Avalon chips here in the forums.
1174  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [HOT] 1.45 BTC Antminer S1 180GH/S Shipps on Feb 11 (Price Protection) 360W on: February 06, 2014, 11:18:45 PM
There are little switches you can buy for $9 but you would have to wait for delivery.  See robotshop.com
You can also use some stiff coated copper wire.  But for shorting it, the paperclip is the most secure.
There is tension to keep it in place and it goes in deep so it does not wobble.  I have had copper wires drop out in the middle of the night and lost hours of mining.  Never happened with a paperclip.

EDIT Here is the switch I was referring to:
http://www.robotshop.com/en/cytron-atx-power-supply-breakout-board-right-angle.html?___SID=U
or just cut the wires and solder them together, put a little heat shrink on them if you have some.

Regarding PSU's, I have decided to go with server supplies @$25 on Ebay this seems the best option if your handy with a soldering iron and have maxed out your budget.  Wink

Hi.
I also typed me up at this spreadsheet, dunno if its maintained anymore.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApqxniIazmNidHdyMDZoQ3NhRVZkb0JuMGRBa0xqRHc&usp=drive_web#gid=0

I also signed the spreadsheet right up here, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Au69mccTiKbldFdJRm9WS2RzVGliMG5JbnJMZUhyTWc&usp=sharing#gid=0

If there is enough money in this, I know some really *really* bad people who would take a cut to get as much back as we can. I am not talking about internet-ragers.

1%.
Say no more.

Thanks for the support, can you please send the details requested to the email from a few pages back too?

I'm not sure what you're intimating, but as long as the process is legal I would be happy to consider it. Please email me the details and I'll try to get back to you by tonight.

Over clocked antminer will pull about 480-560W depends on the PSU you use...  It could be possible but pushing the limit

Using a gold rated EVGA 1300 G2 (1300 watt) PSU, I have two S1's fully OC'd to 200 GH/s pulling only 750 Watts combined. Going with a gold-rated PSU makes a big difference.
750W so that's 31.25 Amps Per Ant, a quick look at the EVGA1300 it has a huge 108 Amps on a single 12V Rail.

That is an awesome PSU, you could probably get another on there with no problems..

I think the rails are the important point here, if you max them out your gonna get Volt Drop on the rails pushing up your Amps, then your protections gonna kick in.

Sushi's 480W = 40 APA. This is a lot more than your 31.25 APA probably due to the PSU being tight on Spec, a bit of Volt Drop and lower quality.
