sigh fuck, no wonder the numbers looked too good, I should have known better, can't believe someone like Havelock is hosting this kind of operation.
1222  Economy / Securities / Re: [Havelock] Bitcoin Difficulty Derivative (BDD) [Update May 3, 2015] on: May 17, 2015, 07:50:26 PM
So just to clarify how this all works, the period you shut down trading will be when you build up your dividend reserves for the next 200 days? Hope I'm not misunderstanding.
1223  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mossad and CIA about to overthrow the elected government of Macedonia on: May 17, 2015, 11:44:29 AM
I know many people will claim that we're not in World War 3 right now, but doesn't it seem like there's this huge indirect proxy war between Russia, the EU and America? We may as well already be in World War 3 but the only difference is that nobody as of yet has been using outright conventional warfare, it's all just been espionage and financial.

They're trying to avoid the appearance of starting a war because it would be so unpopular yet if you look at all the various conflicts between them it's very much starting to turn into one.
1224  Other / Meta / Re: "Quickseller" marked my account red rating with no evidence in ANGER, UNETHICAL on: May 17, 2015, 11:42:13 AM
Don't you people realise the more you all squabble like this in public and constantly throw accusations at each other the less likely everybody else is to trust any of you? Forget the people you're all picking fights with all of this just makes you look incredibly petty and it will make people wary of doing any business deals with you if that's the kind of attitude you have in general.

I'm all for ousting scammers and calling people out on dodgy behaviour but this shit must have been going on for months now not just a couple of weeks and it's getting boring seeing you all clog up meta with your shit posts.
1225  Other / Politics & Society / Re: American Commandos Kill Senior ISIS Leader on: May 17, 2015, 04:39:36 AM
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the way they phrased that either lol Tongue
1226  Other / Politics & Society / Re: American Commandos Kill Senior ISIS Leader on: May 17, 2015, 04:19:49 AM
The most surprising part of the operation is that they didn't kill the wife. They almost never want to deal with the baggage of a combatant prisoner.

Should bear in mind these guys are special operations so they're very well trained assuming they've been trained by anyone halfway decent and the U.S government realises the reputation it has now for operations in the middle east so they're probably trying to get some good PR on the war.

By the way, I saw this news item on the BBC, it wasn't reported as delta commandos though they were simply called "Special ops.".

1227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest company/coin/country to buy and hold Gold? on: May 16, 2015, 10:34:05 PM
Don't ever buy gold certificates or ETF's, even the most well known gold bugs advise against them, make sure to buy the physical stuff yourself, you're better off buying a simple fireproof safe and storing it at home than trusting anyone else with it. Banks and financial groups for the past century have become experts at scamming people by making them think that the paper they sell can always be redeemed for gold, they play with anything deposited or bought in the background and you're the one that has to deal with the cost if they make any mistakes.

Sure, you could maybe have some sort of guarantee at least for awhile that people with security guards and such will take care of any of your precious metals for awhile, but chances are they might end up pissing off the wrong people and then they're going to lose it all anyway.
1228  Other / Off-topic / Re: MONEY = Set BACK RELAX AND F**CK THE POOR PEOPLE FOR THERE HARD WORK (food,...) on: May 16, 2015, 06:16:08 PM
I'm getting really fed up lately of people who treat others that disagree with them about their ideology or beliefs as enemies that need to be attacked and even more annoying lately are people who claim they're correct 'just because'.

Evidence is irrelevant in this case. Sorry, you're wrong, and you will forever be wrong if you maintain this position.  It's not even any less unsound than anything BADecker has been saying.  There is nothing to debate, here.

You're making the assertion that something is true and a fact without any evidence to back it up, that means you have to come up with the evidence, the burden of proof is entirely on you. Also, scientists make no such claim, scientists are out to find the truth and people like you constantly get in the way of that, my favourite example for this is the hadron collider, what would creationists be so afraid of with that thing? It's just a high powered experiment to smash particles together and doesn't do a damn thing to anybody, yet the amount of uproar there was about it was ridiculous.

Yeah, I'm not going to bother refuting your every 'point' simply because you're intellectually dishonest like most creationists and people who refute basic scientific evidence, when you stop making things up then I'll happily debate with you, but until you can accept the basic ruleset of having to provide physical evidence in order to prove something is real or not there is no point.
1230  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: May 16, 2015, 04:40:34 PM
Because atheists have logical mind.

It is not logical, however, to not believe in something because of a lack of physical evidence, and that seems to be the primary reason that most atheists are atheists.

Don't you realise how ridiculous you sound whenever you say something like that? The fact is religious people will happily believe in god ( because they've usually had it literally beaten into them at an early age ) yet somehow all the other stuff like unicorns and santa claus don't exist. You create your own rulesets for scientific evidence and change the definition of words to suit what you say and try to force somebody who tries to debate you into those rules, that's why these kinds of threads go onto hundreds of pages rather than just be 1 page.

It isn't clever, it just makes you either incredibly petty, or somebody who resorts to circular logic because you've had whatever you believe programmed into you at an early age, I wouldn't have so much of a problem with major religions in particular if it weren't for the fact that you're blatantly trying to infiltrate governments and school systems, that's putting it very politely as well.

If people wanted to worship satan or the flying spaghetti monster, I couldn't give a fuck, just don't expect me to go along with your bullshit because that I find is the most insulting thing of all, that you expect me to go along with what you believe or else.

It's not just the UK. Canada, a lot of other countries in Europe, America, etc. There were always attacks on civil liberties. But since 9/11 it's been getting worse faster than what gets better.

The biggest problem I have with this country is there are actually a number of people who think this is a genuinely good idea, most of the time when these crazy laws are written very few people will enforce them or go along with it, but here, It's like they have no will of their own.

England prevails! Tongue
1232  Other / Politics & Society / Re: David Cameron plans to allow police to vet anyone's internet communications on: May 15, 2015, 10:58:12 PM
Do you guys understand why I hate this country yet? Tongue
1233  Other / Politics & Society / Re: British Gay Couple Complain Street Named After Populuer Fag Is Homophobic… on: May 15, 2015, 10:06:05 PM
Considering that the United Kingdom is the political correctness capital of the world, I think they will soon rename the street to "Gaylove's Way" or "Uranus Way". No surprise that hundreds of thousands of British citizens (mostly the highly skilled ones) are permanently emigrating to Australia and New Zealand every year.

Europe is just as politically correct as all of Britain maybe even more so with France.

Have you guys ever had the misfortune of watching BBC Question Time?
1234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York Times identifies Nick Szabo as Satoshi Nakamoto on: May 15, 2015, 09:58:54 PM
Not again for fucks sake, do they really think a third rate reporter is going to be able to find Satoshi? It's not like he'd even admit it and now there are several Satoshi Nakamoto's to pick from so no one is going to believe them anyway, their own lies have made it impossible to tell who's telling the truth.
1235  Other / Politics & Society / Re: British Gay Couple Complain Street Named After Popular Historian Is Homophobic… on: May 15, 2015, 09:55:19 PM
Sounds like rubbish to me.  I reckon a reporter saw the street, found a gay couple and asked them about it so that they could have a 'story'

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, should bear in mind this is Britain, there's a reason why I have designated it a shithole, there's so much bullshit surrounding these stories that these people really shouldn't be paid attention to at all.

YES!!! Die Jar Jar Binks! DIE! I hope the empire exterminate the whole gungan race!... Never thought I'd say that out loud.
1237  Other / Politics & Society / Re: British Gay Couple Complain Street Named After Popular Historian Is Homophobic… on: May 15, 2015, 04:12:19 AM
That is just blatantly stupid

My husband and I went to look round the new development. Having got over the initial humour, we reflected that this street name was actually pretty offensive.

Who the fuck does that? This is as bad as when women suddenly changing their minds that something a guy says is sexist and so on.

When are people going to stop letting these assholes have power over them? It's only because they get away with so much they can do this, when did they decide that it was offensive? Did they take a look at the property value or how much the person who built that place was making?
1238  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to end boom and bust: make cash illegal on: May 14, 2015, 02:12:20 PM
This is just fucking stupid and any of us who actually know anything about economics know that these investment groups and politicians directly benefit and engineer these economic recessions. Rather than actually fix the problem they seem to be looking at digital currencies as a much easier way to keep hyperinflating their currencies.

I agree with Lethn on the fact that SSD technology is not ready. Although I like to be close to the frontline for new technology, I force myself to only buy the ones that have been on the market for a while and does not have too many cons.

I'm an early adopter of Bitcoin for fucks sake and I'm going all in, but cryptocurrencies are a whole new technology no one has ever seen before, SSD's are just a small improvement on something that works very well already so I don't consider the price difference to be worth it, it's just simple maths really, It's good to take a look at early technology and support it but if you're using it for something very important ( Like for instance storing work on it ) you damn well better be sure you understand how it works first.

I prefer shooters/open world games, linear corridors piss me off as does turn based mechanics.
