1261  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Problems with connection between ledger Nano X and Electrum on: July 18, 2023, 04:28:30 PM
Yes, but Ledger state that the Nano X is only compatible with macOS 11, 12, and 13. If his OS is older than this, than that might be the issue.
But according to ledger FAQ, it can operate on MacOS 10.10(OS X Yosemite) quoted below

Can Ledger Nano X operate on its own?
Ledger Nano X requires either a desktop computer (at least 64-bit Windows 8.1, macOS 10.10 or 64-bit Linux) or a smartphone (at least iOS 9 or Android 7) to install apps, to add accounts, to check account balances and to manage secure transactions.

Unless they remove support on the latest version?

@OP have you tried to check if your Nano X will work on other devices or in Windows OS?

If not, there is a possibility that your Nano X has a hardware issue it's either the USB cable or the USB port, or possible if it's brand new and came from Ledger it might be defective you can send them back to Ledger for warranty or replacement.
1262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: when trying to send http requests to bitcoin core I'm being actively refused on: July 18, 2023, 12:16:18 AM
What do you mean by multiple locations is it in the same network? Or you are using a different server(e.g. DigitalOcean)?

You might need to add to rpcbind= on Bitcoin.conf like this sample below

Code:
server=1
rpcbind=0.0.0.0
rpcuser=-----
rpcpassword=-----
rpcallowip=192.168.1.10
rpcport=8332

The rpcallowip should be the IP where you perform RPC commands and take note after changing the bitcoin.conf file make sure to restart the daemon to apply the changes.
1263  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Offline TX signing with hardened address on: July 17, 2023, 11:46:00 PM
Wow that was it, thank you so much. Totally forgot about that and not even sure where I read it the first time.

Do you happen to have a good source to point me towards re Electrum or Bitcoin keys in general to avoid making dumb mistakes like this in the future?

Thanks again
If it's for importing private keys there is a thread here on the forum that you can bookmark check this link below you can also read this guide How to import the private key into Electrum.

1264  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Recently received an FTX Noticing Email on: July 17, 2023, 05:17:51 PM
It looks legit because kroll.com is posted on their Twitter official page below

- https://twitter.com/FTX_Official?t=p73cetwI57qXWgGbeV6WGw&s=09

But better use the link above to guide you on the right path.

I also found a new posts on Reddit that receive the same thing check the link below.

- https://www.reddit.com/r/ftx/comments/14zkhuh/received_an_email_from_ftxnoticingrakrollcom/

Someone said it's legit but one of the posts there said it's phishing.
1265  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: price action on: July 17, 2023, 04:59:51 PM
Do you mean where you can see the price rise/drop on a specific time frame from 1 minute to 5, 15, 30, etc...?

I think TradingView has this tool called Crypto Screener if I'm right but check the link below

- https://www.tradingview.com/crypto-screener/

The only problem 1d below needs a subscription but you can use the 30days trial for free.

1267  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance adds support for the Lightning network on: July 17, 2023, 11:17:52 AM
~snip~

It seems you're not the only one who experience the same thing but mine I see it listed on my Binance app and web.

According to the Binance there is no country restriction on using lightning and according to their tweet try this solution below

Hi there, kindly try the following:
- Restart your device
- Log in with another device
- Switch network
- Clear the cache/cookies
 - Disable any extensions (Web)
- Try incognito mode (Web)

And they said if the above suggestion do not work try to contact them through their chat support here https://binance.com/en/chat
1268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Multisig question on: July 17, 2023, 01:19:00 AM
Is it possible to make a multisig address with 4 keys (A, B, C, D) that requires 2 signatures to broadcast a transaction, but one of the signatures MUST be from A?

You mean the 2 signature must be from A? Meaning the A have 2 signature?

Yes it's possible but take note that this A can broadcast a transaction without the other cosigners but it defeats the purpose of multisig wallet.

Unless you talking about 1 signature all of the cosigner(parties A,B,C,D) have their own keys and must share the public key to A to create a multisig wallet(same goes to (B,C,D).
Take note all of them can sign a transaction but since you said you have 4 co-signer and 2 signature only requires 2 co-signer(2 parties can be A and B or C and D) to be able to sign and broadcast a transaction.
1269  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Android Electrum with Tor on: July 16, 2023, 11:38:30 PM
Curious to know why proxy settings have user name and password option when tor works with those fields empty.

That username and password are for the Socks5 proxy because they support authentication. If you have bought a dedicated Socks5 proxy you can enable authentication with a username and password it generated a user and password that can be used on Electrum.

You can just leave it empty since you already made it work through TOR.
1270  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Someone stole my account on: July 16, 2023, 11:21:45 PM
Do you mind telling us what exactly happens and what exactly accounts they stole?

Are you talking about your account here? I never heard that the forum will ask for the fee to recover your stole account or are you talking about an exchange account with stuck BTC and they ask you to pay the fee to withdraw the amount?
That is most likely a scam if they ask for a fee.
1271  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BUYING ASIC DEVICES for Small Residential Farm on: July 16, 2023, 11:12:53 PM

1272  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: AvalonMiner 1166Pro 81TH - resets every 5 minutes on: July 16, 2023, 10:26:14 PM

Hello, thanks for the answer.
I tried to update the firmware from the browser panel and it did not work.
I couldn't from the FMS either. (When I try with the fms I get the message software mismatch: 192.168.0.65:4028)
Unfortunately, I cannot open the equipment, its new asics, since it would lose the guarantee and I could not return it if it did not work. I will have to complain to the seller's technical support.
 Angry

If the error shows a firmware mismatch meaning the firmware you are trying to flash is different make sure to download the exact 1166 pro stock firmware.
And take note you need to request firmware from Canaan because the firmware for 1166 Pro is not yet uploaded on their download page since your unit is still under warranty they should give the exact firmware unless you buy it from other sellers, not from Canaan?
1273  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: AvalonMiner 1166Pro 81TH - resets every 5 minutes on: July 15, 2023, 11:46:17 PM
ECMM shows abnormal meaning it has poor contact with hashboard ECHU also shows abnormal meaning it's overheating.

Then look at this HASHS[0 1 0]  the middle board is bad and this log BOOTBY[0x11.00000000] shows no hashrate in 5 minutes.

What I would like you to try first replug all cables on the miner and flash the unit with the latest firmware then test it again.
1274  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Fixes on: July 14, 2023, 04:30:31 PM
Electrum Version tested 4.3.4

You are using an older version of Electrum maybe some features on 4.3.4 is not the same as the newer version.
Would you mind to update it first to the latest version and try again
About the manual fee there are 3 options on finalize page ETA, Mempool and Static look at the image below

Instead of using manual/static, I suggest use mempool and always set it to 1mb below from the tip to avoid stuck transactions.
1275  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you have opinion about Bitcorse exchange? on: July 14, 2023, 03:48:11 PM
A bit of research it point me to some links including CoinMarketCap currently Bitcorse exchange on CMC doesn't have data yet.
And this exchange was mentioned on Binance and they do have a live introduction about the exchange and BCE token check the link below it looks like they are new and just published their project recently.

- https://www.binance.com/sk/live/video?roomId=2138622

It seems they are promoting their exchange and BCE token it looks legit but it is still new and another thing according to the video their token is still underdeveloped.

For now, we can't say they are legit or scams but if you are going to use the exchange or buy their token just invest that you were willing to lose. Or better use a well-known exchange instead.
1276  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I understand Bitcoin charts? on: July 14, 2023, 11:35:59 AM
If you want to learn about the charts you should learn about technical analysis.
There is a good source where to start to learn TA check this link below

- https://github.com/SpiralDevelopment/Awesome-Crypto-Trading#technical-analysis-ta

It should explain all about the chart like candle sticks, indicators, patterns, etc... Once you learn them you will understand the Bitcoin Chart.
1277  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Solo Mining to my own node on: July 12, 2023, 08:52:32 PM
I don't think the above response will work but I think running BFGminer with a stratum proxy can mine you solo check this link below to get some idea
- https://github.com/raspiblitz/raspiblitz/issues/414#issuecomment-471227225

Or run your own mining pool like yiimp you can download the open-source from the link below

- https://github.com/tpruvot/yiimp
1278  Economy / Exchanges / Re: You are probably paying more to get your Bitcoin on: July 12, 2023, 12:35:22 PM
Binance charge 0.0005 BTC as the withdrawal fee, it's worth around $15, how it's even possible you can say Binance only charge up to $1.5?

That's no longer the case. IIRC, they lowered them right after the congestion we had because of ordinals, and now, it's sitting at 0.000025 BTC. It's possible that it's now dynamic though so they might change depending on the network's state.

I just check and yes it changes to a 0.000025 withdrawal fee

And according to them
Quote
Withdrawal rates are determined by the blockchain network and can fluctuate without notice due to factors such as network congestion.

The BTC withdrawal fee just drop 2 weeks ago according to mempool

So after the drop Binance automatically adjusted to a 0.000025 fee.
1279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: P2P will safe your life on: July 12, 2023, 01:41:29 AM
P2P on Binance is fake P2P hahaha. It's centralized 100%. All of your funds on Binance, even on P2P are being controlled by Binance. Once you deposit any funds in your Binance account, you already lost authority over your funds, especially Bitcoin.
How does it fake? You can talk directly to the sellers or buyers they just act as an escrow. Isn't it just a centralized P2P?

And why would you lose authority with your account? You can anytime transfer or withdraw your funds out from Binance unless you are not KYC verified.
Binance before does not have KYC they are just forced to do it due to SEC legal requirements about Anti-Money Laundering (AML).
1280  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S19 Control Board on: July 12, 2023, 01:09:01 AM
I recently purchased Antminer S19 pro 110Th from 570OLLC.
Here's the link if you guys are interested:
shop.5700llc.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=68
Are you sure you purchased the s19 unit from that link?
When exactly?

Or are you just trying to promote it here just like on other forums with some other newbie alt accounts and trying to promote it with fake/sweet words?

I'm talking about this forum as you can see all responses came from newbies so it's very risky to buy on this site.
