1381  Other / Archival / Re: Trust flag bug or normal? on: February 28, 2023, 02:33:49 PM
That kind of message is shown if one has active flag opened against him. The flag is different from negative feedback.
So there is feedback - positive, neutral, negative - that can come from DT, or somebody you trust, or somebody you distrust or don't care about, and this is visible in colors and numbers.
And there's the flag. The thing with the flag is that it can be supported or opposed. If it gets enough support it becomes active and you'll see it that visible.

For more details you may want to read: [GUIDE] Overview of the trust flags
But he has no flag created on his profile - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=806776

Just logout and check any of the topics OP opened up especially in the marketplace boards like the one in the link he shared. The warning in the red banner will show up.
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to this Eth Investor? on: February 27, 2023, 11:44:25 PM
Yes, the wallet may have been "untouched" for a long time, but can someone explain the transaction out of the wallet that happened about 40 days ago?

1383  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason for the existence of Bitcoin? on: February 27, 2023, 11:20:57 PM
Does SATOSHI NAKAMOTO really stated why he want to make bitcoin be in existence and did he specify they category of people that are going to per-take on bitcoin!!?
Are you looking for an alternative electronic payment system that is borderless and can not be censored?
Do you hate using third parties in your electronic payments?
Are a fan of peer to peer payment deals?
Do you hate Government monitoring and blocking your transactions?

Then Bitcoin is for you

1384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Trade have types? on: February 27, 2023, 10:29:29 PM
There are so many types. You have to study them and practice carefully and see the one you are more comfortable with. Some are high risk, High rewarding, others are low risk low rewarding

There is spot trading, Derivatives trading, arbitrage trading, options trading, long term investing etc

In all those kinds of trading, one can still lose money.
1385  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LocalBitcoins.com Exit Scam on: February 27, 2023, 09:50:14 PM
Wtf they say they will refund my btc after 14 days so it's not true ?
Wait out and then after 14 days you will see if it's true or not.

I hope people stop using or highly trusting these centralized exchanges masquerading as p2p services. They are literally the once in custody of your funds and there's nothing you can do when they decided to keep it to themselves or exit scam.
1386  Economy / Exchanges / Re: LocalBitcoins.com EXIT SCAM on: February 27, 2023, 09:39:46 PM
LocalBitcoins have always been shitty anyway, especially after they started doing complete KYC verification. I still don't get why you decided to leave your money in there after all those years, only to wake up and try to withdraw them after realizing that they are going to shut down.

You could party blame yourself for being a little careless and perhaps let it be a lesson learned that "Not your keys, Not your coins"
1387  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: GETINTOPC BIGGEST SCAM SITE on: February 27, 2023, 08:57:12 PM
OP, could you please tell us which software you had downloaded from the site. It could be easy to carry out a forensic study to determine if the file is malware. Regardless, Free crack premium are the easiest way to spread malware
Because the domain itself does not have malware, but apps downloaded from the site could most definitely contain viruses

1388  Other / Meta / Re: Unban request for borgobio on: February 27, 2023, 03:58:57 PM
Hi, long time ago I was banned from the forum with the account "borgobio".

To be honest I don't know why but I didn't care a lot since I wasn't using the forum anyway.
You should have appealed right away after noticing the ban. There is a chance that your case is similar to that of users getting their accounts hacked and the hacker uses the accounts to post malware in the forum.

This cases usually lead to bans.

In 2021 someone deleted my post and I received a PM but it said nothing regarding a ban: https://i.imgur.com/ZmNhANl.jpg
Do you remember making that post or not?
1389  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Position Size for dummies on: February 26, 2023, 11:56:03 PM
Just to let everyone know, i made a position size calculator that will automaticly tell you what it should be and also give you leverage size if needed.
Why not just create an organized announcement for the service in the Service Announcements board instead of just sharing it here in a post where not every one will see?
1390  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buy and sell bitcoins worldwide without KYC on: February 26, 2023, 11:42:29 PM
Why the choice of the domain, though? It doesn't bring out the first impression that it's related to p2p trading of cryptocurrencies like the way Localbitcoins or Localcryptos would.

Your project also needs a lot more exposure if you are to get volumes. So you are going to invest so much in promotions and adverts if you want to have a chance of pulling numbers.
1391  Other / Meta / Re: The curious functionality of "Report To Admin" button from inside PMs on: February 26, 2023, 11:24:37 PM
I guess, they only respond the report if it was labeled as "unhandled" or "bad report" and explain why it will not be "good" report.
Because if the report is obvious against to the forum rules, it will eventually trashed and punished the reported account, so messaging the reporter isn't necessary, unless it will have a complicated outcome, this will go the first i said about the "unhandled" and "bad" report.
But OP says there is nowhere for one to see if the report of PM to admin was labelled as "Unhandled" or "bad report" like how you see with reports of posts made to mods

1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana was recently down, again! on: February 26, 2023, 10:56:57 PM
Barely heard the news, why is it so quiet here?
Is it news any more?

The outages have happened so many times that it no longer makes news. It's the new normal when we talk about the Solana blockchain

Quote
Apparently, it has been the nth time that Solana has had similar issues. Do they(communities and developers) have a lower standard compared to other altcoins? I mean it has been happening many times, have they been accustomed to such mistakes within the coin development process, so they just thought it is a normal one and getting used to it?
Hahaha, you can't expect any high standard on a centralized proof of stake blockchain

The past incident noted the bug in the code was the culprit, this time, the cause was suspected to be the updated new version. Seems testing a system which has a $8,620,532,556 market cap on production is the way to go, isn't it?
Even the Terra Luna shitcoin was at one point a top 10 coin by marketcap before it got exposed
1393  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Crossed/isolated mode on: February 25, 2023, 11:44:28 PM
If copy trading was profitable, don't you think 90% of the traders would be smiling and rich because they could just copy from a dozen successful traders?
I don't know if you are able to see the position size and total amount ion the account of those successful looking traders. $1000 position could be nothing to someone yet in their account they have like $10M.

My advice is, be careful when copy trading. You don't know how deep someone's pockets couuld be.
1394  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is Legal in United State ? on: February 25, 2023, 10:39:21 PM
It took me like 5 seconds of using Google to have a rough answer, and a few more minutes just to make sure that the information in the Google results snippet is accurate.

Like, come on.
https://i.imgur.com/qA6YBGd.png
I really wonder why some people take so long to use some resources that are readily available

For example, interactive AI chatbots like ChatGPT could help OP figure out what he may have wanted to know. The ChatGPT may not be 100% accurate at this time, but it can help one get an idea of what they need to know.

People have answers right under their noses by the can still see them.
1395  Other / Meta / Re: Sleazy sex link sent to my pm on: February 25, 2023, 09:44:54 PM
Perhaps someone trying to target you for a now famous pig butchering scam?

Out of curiosity, I visited the "dating" site, and they ask for some info about you (Social engineering) and then probably link you to a profile of someone as a "beautiful woman" who will try to scam you afterward.
1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best choice for budget of 3k$ (ASICS Miners) on: February 25, 2023, 08:17:09 PM
What coin should I buy to get a guaranteed profit in 2 years?
In this case, the choice is yours.

Nobody talked about "guaranteed profit" but chances as high that you can make profits given that the market is already down.
Bitcoin for example was $16K not so long ago, today it's $23K. Is $32K (100%) hard to achieve any time?

Doge was $0.07 not so long ago, today it's $0.08... is $0.14 hard to achieve in the next one or 2 years?

I am talking about realistic targets here given the time frame I stated. Ethereum POW is gone. Can you even dream of turning $3K to $6k in the next 1 or 2 years, mining in this bear market using a 3k mining gear?

Quote
What if you need money and sell coins at a lower price?
Why would you sell at a low price?
What if you need money to pay for bills, and you sell the mined coins at a low price after investing the $3K. Does it make any sense?

Mining gives a constant and guaranteed profit every day if you have inexpensive electricity and you can service your mining farms yourself.
IF electricity is inexpensive. I know there are very few places where electricity is not expensive. Now what if OP is not from such an area, what advice do you give him?

I was only giving him an alternative and it's surely not bad.
1397  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is Legal in United State ? on: February 23, 2023, 11:54:14 PM
Bitcoin is legal Tender in USA ?
Not a chance  Grin

US would probably be one of the last countries to accept this from happening (Just like most Governments that want to keep control of the people). Imagine Bitcoin replacing the US Dollar, that would mean the financial power and control of the market by the US would vanish overnight.
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best choice for budget of 3k$ (ASICS Miners) on: February 23, 2023, 11:44:38 PM
Mining is a long term venture mate, if you are planning to make profits, maybe 3 to 5 years, that is if you don't even sell your mined coins at low price. Even those chaps who mined 50 Bitcoins at ago back in the day realized great profits at HODLing the mined coins after some time.

Now I shouldn't be the kind of person to tell you this, but If I were you with $3,000, I would just buy a coin and wait it out in a couple of years. There are very high chances that the $3,000 turns into $6,000 or more. Lately, that's very hard to achieve with mining in such a short span of time.
1399  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: February 23, 2023, 11:20:02 PM
Today's latest news regarding the FTX case says that currently a new Indictment was opened against SBF which contains 12 indictments now.
But what is sticking out now is that in one of the indictments it is alleged that the SBF has committed a conspiracy to make unlawful political contributions and defraud the federal election commission.
This will be a new chapter in the problem that he is facing because now it's not just about FTX anymore if the charges like this even though it is indeed inseparable from FTX because the funds provided by SBF are estimated to be more than $ 10 million.

According to the indictment, his motivation was to keep regulators away from his precious cryptoverse. “The defendant, perpetuated his campaign finance scheme at least in part to improve his personal standing in Washington, D.C., increase FTX’s profile, and curry favor with candidates that could help pass legislation favorable to FTX or Bankman-Fried’s personal agenda, including legislation concerning regulatory oversight over FTX and its industry,” prosecutors wrote.
I guess this indictment will be the least of worries to SBF since some of his buddy politicians he "donated" to are currently in power

I keep telling people here. Politics and elections are just fraud. It should completely be abolished. It never does any good to the common people except endless exploitation and corruption by the so-called Leaders

We just give those jerks more power to enrich themselves and get more privileges, all in the name of elections.
1400  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: (SCAM) ROLLBIT.COM - you Deposit 1497 BUSD, you Withdraw 0 (account blocked) on: February 21, 2023, 10:38:56 PM
I'm asking the rollbit staff to private message me here and I'll delete this thread when they arrange the promised video call and return the deposit
Have you tried sending a PM to the second profile I shared in the reply?. If your rank is still blocked, please alert me and I will try to help you pass the message.

Honestly, I don't see why they (rollbit) should block newbie rank users from sending messages to them here (it's a forum feature, but they are a service that will attract complaints from different ranks, not just higher ranks.)
