Nothing else to do except to follow up your case regularly in as many coinbase channel as possible (but do not break their rules and talk rudely - support team are humans and aren't as neutral).

But try to put more effort in their subreddit (/r/CoinBase/). You might get their attention if your post can manage to snag a good amount of upvotes. This is because the subreddit is 98% made up of complaints so you have to make yourself stand out. Try to make a catchy title, I would say including the total amount (or just figures) you've lost in your title would help. In addition, crossposting in other crypto subreddits would be a plus as well. The downside is... you'll probabaly be receiving more scam PMs. That said, try to familiarize yourself on whats fake and not.

From what I remember blockchair.com used to list alternative links of other block explorers just right at the bottom amd I think they still do it. I think that's why you got redirected.
it's more like Etherscan listing Etherchain.org as an alternative.

oh I thought @Husires was asking about why blocktrail listed and redirected users to either BTC.com and blockchair.com  (ultimately, whats the relationship between BTC.com/blocktrail with blockchair.com)

Just wanna make sure we're on the same page. If we are, I do think your theory is also possible but I find it too much of a coincidence that the only block explorers blocktrail listed are deeply involved with them.

I think this is much clearer than "partners"

...Bitmain is also an early investor in Blockchair.

sure they contained an amount ...... yes

Then it would be weird if you were to receive an amount less than what you had in your custodial wallets. A hacker having an access to your whole account (non-custodial and custodial wallets) and not wiping everything would be a very unlikely situation unless there was some kind of restrition (e.g. hold periods, etc.) which led to not being able to withdraw everything.

They used free mockup template tools, you can tell at a glance their so called office pictures are edited.

i met this Russian dude oleksander bodhan on tor he's re thorough with that shit ong would have posted pictures if i could he helped me recover 235bnb on my metamask unkowneyep at protonmail dot com he took a percentage tho they laundered my money through tornado cash dude got it back and got them mf's blacklisted. Cheesy

Dude, are you unable to activate symbols on your keyboard, or have you never been to school?
The fnckin unknowneyepdotprotonmailcom is just another scammer service who doesn't know how to write properly They will fail to trick the victim

It's probably to avoid spam filters for links, most social networks/message boards has them. In some platforms, typing the whole email address as it is (including the symbols) turns them into clickable links which is why they had to word the symbols for the email address to slip pass the spam filters. But I highly doubt they are actually aware of what kind of link gets automatically removed in bitcointalk, they probably just assumed it could be omitted (from past experiences probably) in order to save them time since these scammers have to spam the same thing in as many platforms as they can.

Another recovery scam attempt... Another big claims backed by absolutely nothing. Furthermore, guaranteed recovery of stolen funds is just straight up impossible. When you're investigating the unknown, there's no way to know what awaits you...
1386  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: - Blockchain.com - Reward account blocked and crypto staking gone on: March 31, 2022, 04:06:41 PM
how will they transfer funds from the old to the new account?

Since we're talking about their custodial services (funds they have full access/hold the private keys), it would be just importing your user data to your new account. Blockchain.com will just be inputting numbers.

Im curious if your non-custodial wallets (those tied with your backup phrase) had any amount in them? if so, were they all gone?
1387  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC.com (wallet) shutting down on: March 30, 2022, 09:28:39 PM
Does anyone know what is the link between BTC.com and https://blockchair.com/?
I did a Google search and found out that BTC.com was Blocktrail.com which is redirected me to BTC.com or blockchair.com.

Bitmain owns BTC.com. Looking at blockchair's about page, they have listed bitmain as one of their general partners.

I haven't heard about this wallet, probably because I got to know Bitcoin in 2018, but since it has multi signatures, can they use a recovery tool like a blockchain.com wallet, pre signed muti-signatures, or will people who haven't withdraw their money end up losing it?

From what I know, only their own recovery tool works. People should still be able to get their funds out even after the service has shut down as long as they have their backup sheet and the recovery tool working as intended.
1388  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance unverified account on: March 30, 2022, 04:08:39 PM
Jeez it's all over the place... but thinking back, that was how the whole thing was implemented.

Instead of rolling out the restrictions for the existing unverified accounts at the same date and time, binance decided it would be better to do in phases/by batch causing even more confusion. It wouldn't be weird that some may have slipped thru which reminds me of: Some people are still able to trade p2p on Binance using new unverified accounts

In addition, they didn't clear up whether the .06BTC announcement was still valid. To make things worse, emails about this were already sent out/or still being sent out at that time so some ppl received 2 different deadlines.

In any case, I wouldn't suggest trading with them (amounts you're willing to throw away are i guess fine) unless you actually get a go-signal that it's okay.
1389  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance unverified account on: March 30, 2022, 01:20:21 PM
If it's about the trading panel/board, unverified users can still access it just fine, at least that's how it is on my end. But the moment I try to place an order, I'd be greeted with "you need to verify your account error" (I still have some dust in there). For the withdrawals, I checked mine and they are still open as what binance originally promised. However I noticed my limit is at 160K BUSD lmao. I'm not verified...

Just checked on r/binance as well, there seems to be no recent user with the same situation as you. Did you try OmegaStarScream's suggestion? there should be no way for you to view your address if you're unverified, no need to actually deposit.
1390  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.io SUSPENDED MY ACCOUNT FOR OVER 4 MONTHS! on: March 25, 2022, 10:54:55 PM
Can someone kindly advise on what other routes can be taken to get my money back and what authorities can be reported to about these dealings?

The sad reality is reporting for this kind is mostly just for getting your records recorded so I wouldn't expect anything out of it. There is exploring your legal options but it isn't free. But probably hold these thoughts until after you've seen there has been no changes with cex.io since you've already asked to close your account.

From what I've seen they care about their reputation a lot. I say start your own thread about this and try to make regular updates there including if when your situation has been resolved (kinda like an incentive for cex.io as well).

11. coins.co.th - Thai payment service accounts with multiple cryptocurrencies.

Thailand is prohibiting crypto payments effective on April 1. It may not be available soon if they do offer it.

The government will bar the use of cryptocurrencies as a means of payment for goods and services, saying the wider use of digital assets threatens the nation’s financial system and economy.

Business operators -- including crypto exchanges -- must not provide such payment services, and are barred from acting in a manner that promotes the use of digital assets to pay for goods or services, the Securities and Exchange Commission said in a statement on Wednesday. However, the new regulation won’t affect trading or investments in digital assets, the agency said.[/quotes]
1392  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HitBTC scam on: March 23, 2022, 09:34:09 PM
I'am from Russia. Here government sites sell our information to scammers for money. I'm not afraid of anything anymore.

Even if that's true, I wouldn't advise going out of your way to worsen your situation because the scale of how widespread such information makes a difference in terms of potential damages. It's like saying large data breach victims should stop caring about the security of their personal information because it has already spread far and wide when the situation could always get worse.

Although there is no 100% security and we're basically just minimizing threats in a manner that is comfortable for us. I think everyone who has a life on the internet should still do the bare minimum of improving their cybersecurity and one of that is to not share their selfie + passport on a public online community accessible by everyone.

As for the hitbtc case, they are famous for that. Try looking up hitbtc threads and you'll see the pattern. I've long convinced myself it's just hitbtc trying to make their users rage quit so they can bag their funds.
1393  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying Cryptocurrency with Cash in Europe? on: March 23, 2022, 07:36:50 PM
didn't quite understand what you meant.

Sorry for not making that clear! I was talking about trade offers/orders you see in exchanges. Let's say for instance none of the open orders are from trustable users. I say try to not give up and create your own unless you're in a hurry.
1394  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HitBTC scam on: March 23, 2022, 03:39:08 PM
its my selfie [LINK OMITED]
and its my passport [LINK OMITED]

It's bad for both of your privacy and security to share such personal information on a public community. Please remove them OP!!!

Unfortunately, it's been more than 2 hours since you posted this, it wouldn't be weird if someone has already saved them in hopes to steal your identity... If I were you I'd start reporting for a possible identity theft to relevant authorities/companies.
1395  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying Cryptocurrency with Cash in Europe? on: March 23, 2022, 02:36:34 PM
As in f2f OP? if so, you can try checking bisq, localcryptos and hodlhodl. There may be other exchanges in kycnot.me depending on the coins you want to buy, just make sure to DYOR. Lastly, if you can't find any offers up to your liking, I encourage you to start a new one.
1396  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FYBIT | Cryptocurrency Trading Platform on: March 22, 2022, 04:58:06 PM
In a previous message I already wrote that I am not responsible for the messages of other users.

Ah yes, creating alts and fake conversation in order to improve fybit's image in the forum are all just work of a regular user, a person completely unrelated to your exchange, yes yes very believable...
1397  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: - Blockchain.com - Reward account blocked and crypto staking gone on: March 21, 2022, 11:26:25 AM
Custodial services (rewards/staking/interest etc..) are tied to your KYC information and not your backup phrase which is why if you try to recover your blockchain.com wallet using your backup phrase, all the custodial services you have started wouldn't exist. This doesn't mean it's all gone, you would need to reverify again like what the support told you to recover those custodial accounts. I've seen enough poor service from blockchain.com that I'm not even surprised you've been waiting more than a month for the verification to push thru...

But it's slightly a different story if your account has been compromised as the amount of coins you had may not be the same anymore... I've never used any of their custodial services but I've always thought users are to get some sort of notification for every withdrawal like emails. If so, have you tried checking on this OP?
1398  Economy / Exchanges / Re: popular exchange extortion and blackmail on: March 18, 2022, 09:48:47 PM
I suggest going into detail about your KYC experience OP (how many times, what were asked each time). Just wanna grasp how bad was it and it's kinda hard to draw conclusions based on assumptions.

Are you perhaps from a restricted country? if so, it's advisable to not bypass such restriction again AKA break their TOS. A lenient treatment isn't guaranteed, not to mention that CEXs tend to be stricter over time. Maybe lenient today, but what about tomorrow? maybe not caught today, but what about tomorrow? it's possible this was also one of the reasons why they froze your account.
1399  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where to spend my bitcoins in new york city? on: March 17, 2022, 11:34:07 AM
I found this article and have a list of stores that accept Bitcoin in New York City.

Yelp also has the "accept cryptocurrency" filter on "Features", it could bring different sets or more results.

@OP. If you wanna be as accurate as possible on whether a certain place is still accepting bitcoin, asking them or doing research (both can be done remotely) before your visit is the best way.
1400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exposing the Investment Scam - opictrader.com - Opic Trader Scam on: March 15, 2022, 10:43:10 PM
It's very simple really: anyone offering you 20% daily ROI like this opictrader is scammer, as simple as that. There are no elaborate scamming techniques or anything of that sort, they just count on ignorance and greed as you have to be combination of both to fall for something like this. I mean, just look at screenshot from their webiste, its a basic scam. On top of that, they claim to be six years in operation while basic whois domain check reveals that website is less than a year old.

and these are one of the things that I think should've been mentioned in the video. We can probably summarize on why the whole service is a scam using one or two sentences but if you're making an 11-minute scambait video, you might as well point out as much red flags as possible so the viewers would be able to do the same.
