1501  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What wallet should I use for Bitcoin? on: February 08, 2020, 11:46:20 PM
In the past, I am using the Electrum wallet. It is trusted and been popular with a lot of people, it is the most suggested wallet for me too since that is the usual line of people I ask about a bitcoin wallet in an android phone. I can't use that now since I don't have that much crypto currencies so I just use coins.ph now, one of the most popular exchanges in our country.
1502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **TAKE YOUR COINS OFF EXCHANGES** on: February 08, 2020, 11:14:14 PM
In our case, we have no choice. We don't have that much crypto currencies as you are so instead of having our own wallet that can be depleted just by transacting a small amount, we just store it to an exchange that will make it easier. I don't have a problem with it since there will be some emergency and I would be able to use it. Another thing is that I have no other choice since there is no other stores that accepts bitcoin directly but through that exchange.
1503  Economy / Economics / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON CHINA ECONOMY on: February 08, 2020, 09:38:01 PM
I don't think a minor thing like virus can impact the whole economy of such a giant country. There are worse calamities like natural disasters, terrorist attacks, wars. Even then a country survives as emergency funds are stored for such times! Corona did impact but only to a very negligible limit.

I think it affected the economy of the country. As the outbreak is happening there are a lot of happening and one of them is tourism. They stop accepting people while the outbreak is happening. Importing and exporting is also stopped, that is so bad as they are one of the biggest exporter of the world.
1504  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries with banks to buy and sell cryptocurrencies on: February 08, 2020, 04:23:33 PM
Well not all countries will buy and sell crypto , many of them want only to put a tax on crypto and take 10. But i hope to can use faster bank transfer with crypto someday.

They might now accept and buy or sell crypto currencies but I think in the future where digital currencies are inevitable, a lot of countries would be accepting it. I don't think banks will be considering bitcoin or other altcoins to be in their circulation so I think it will just be legalized by a lot of countries and this might be used by a lot of people accepted in a lot of stores or by the merchants.
1505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: February 08, 2020, 03:01:33 PM
So I do not put high hopes on Manny (even though he is one of my favorites) winning the fight against Floyd unless he knocked him out cold.

This is why we are so pumped up if this rematch will happen. We Filipinos love how Manny Pacquiao fights that is why we are so annoyed on how Floyd Mayweather fights. We really wanted Manny to KO Floyd not just because he lost in their last game but also because it is a great way to retire by beating the undefeated and one of the best boxers in the world, don't you think?
1506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would make you stop gambling? on: February 08, 2020, 01:46:45 PM
I think it would never stop. Even if I have a career, a passion or even if I have a lot of money, my gambling activity will never stop. It is not that I can't live without it, it is the one that shaped me to be me. I am addicted in the past, I think if that never happened I will not be the same person as myself today. Even if I grow old, I would surely be in my rocking chair using my laptop or mobile phone gambling online.
1507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: February 08, 2020, 01:06:23 PM
Your link doesn't deal with that. It just talks about Mayweather refusal to fight against Manny.  Sad Where do you see his 3 next opponents there? Provide us the real link with the real list of his 3 next fights please.

Quote
Pacquiao meanwhile has plans to fight in the summer with Errol Spence, Danny Garcia and Shawn Porter all possible opponents.

Can you just please read the link? I think you are not even reading it.
Huh Why are you saying that? If I asked that it's because I didn't found it. Why I would ask for that if I haven't even read it? Huh Your reply is curious... And it would have been quicker to quote it the first time BTW.
Thank you anyway

It's been there the whole time and you said, "Where do you see his 3 next opponents there?" means that you clicked on the link and you did not read it, I provided the linked and you still asked for it, I am really curious. Your welcome by the way.

Pacquiao did already learn on his boxing style and for sure there would be changes but Mayweather would really be prepared as well, either he would retain his running hit and run style or would decide to make some belt to belt match but its unlikely to happen.

Obviously, he will stay that way, that is the reason he has an undefeated record, that is the reason why he is written in the history of boxing as one of the best. Manny is ready for him if there will be another fight, a rematch. That means that either Manny has a new technique acquired or know how he will be countering Floyd's style.
1508  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning about a dishonest bitcoin investor calls herself Alicia from Mexico on: February 08, 2020, 12:37:18 PM
Any screenshots of the conversation? Any links that she might give you so we can be able to avoid it? Other information we can use or see so that we will be able to be another victim of this Alicia?
1509  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries with banks to buy and sell cryptocurrencies on: February 07, 2020, 11:36:32 PM
Philippines is one of them they allow people to buy Cryptocurrency though indirectly, they will have to deposit funds to their coins.ph account this is a local exchange, using bank that are their partners after you deposit you can buy Cryptocurrency and you can also sell your Cryptocurrency and withdraw it using your favorite local bank.

As you said, it is done indirectly since banks here in our country don't really let you buy bitcoin or any other crypto currencies directly. It is through an excxhange, coins.ph that is why we can transact or buy bitcoin. I don't know when will they consider buying or selling bitcoin or other crypto currencies since for now, I see that impossible to happen.
1510  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the strangest Fiat currency you have seen? on: February 07, 2020, 11:01:40 PM
I think that would be the Philippine peso itself. It is one of the worst-performing currency in Asia. Since there is no strange fiat currency in our country, maybe I can count those coins being used by the elderly. When they have these coins in the past, they put it in their doorsteps. Now they are even putting coins that are used and sometimes being mistaken as a coin that just fallen out of their pocket and most of the time it is hilarious.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Win a Presidential plane... on: February 07, 2020, 10:31:54 PM
As an update to this lottery, Mexico abandoned the idea of raffling the presidential plane. It seems the president is aware of the reactions this lottery is getting from the internet.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/feb/07/mexico-lopez-obrador-presidential-jet-raffle

As the article say, and as i explain, the plain will not be the prize. People will win the value of the plain.

As the article says the prize of this lottery will be divided into 100 winners. The actual prize pot of the lottery will be $100M which is not the actual price or value of the presidential plane. It is also stated the Navy will be holding the plane.

All I read is everyone knocking Mayweather's style.  Sorry but that's boxing, there is defense to it.  You can ask any major boxer or boxing analyst and they will tell you money is one of the best pound for pound boxers to ever live.  He doesnt run in the ring he wears people down, this isnt WWE where it's pure entertainment  Roll Eyes

You mean Manny, right? Manny Pacquiao. That is true and that is why a lot of people are hating the fighting style of Floyd Mayweather here in our country. People will just say that all he can do is run and clinch.
1514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: February 07, 2020, 08:32:37 PM
Bitcoin gave me an opportunity to start again. As I am starting my job, I am not really satisfied with my salary. Then someone told me to invest in crypto currencies particularly bitcoin. I got curious and learned to trade and invest, a lot of ups and downs but still, I am here. Because of it I gave something to my partner and my family, I can also gamble without my partner knowing.
1515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: February 07, 2020, 03:07:26 PM
I do not think this is gonna be a good idea because if we have a bitcoin atm, its transaction fee might be doubled because it is now centralized. Government want to take part of it so maybe it will have a tax that all of the cryptocurrency user doesn't want to. I would still suggest to let it stay being a digital money only.

In terms of promoting crypto currencies especially bitcoin, this is great but I would not also use this since these machines have their fees being added by the companies behind it. I also don't want to be buying bitcoin outside as people can see me, I would love to use bitcoin but I want myself to be anonymous since that is another reason I use it.
1516  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona Virus and The Effect on The Markets on: February 07, 2020, 01:57:04 PM
Actually the Corona Virus doesn't really have an effect on the price movement of the bitcoin. As you can see, the price of bitcoin is continuously moving upward meaning it doesn't really have an effect at all to its price. Maybe this circumstances does not have a relationship to the markets price movement at all

Well, some say the reason why the price is increasing is because of the coronavirus happening. When the outbreak happened, the price increases. Obviously it is a coincidence, no matter what they say this is a coincidence. What could be the connection between these two that can affect the other? Nothing since they have no connection or relationship at all.
1517  Economy / Economics / Re: How regulation affects the crypto price on: February 07, 2020, 12:19:08 AM
We can't speculation with bitcoin regulation at the future could give impact for bitcoin raising to higher price or not, we don't know how respond with many people if bitcoin really get regulation from government and how they are interested with bitcoin and altcoin investment because crypto is no guarantee keep going to higher price always.

We can speculate to that. That will decide the future of crypto currencies, it is in the hands of the government whether they want to legalize it or ban it. It will not be into interesting reasons but in the future, if the majority of people are using it, even haters and other people that don't know it will use it.
1518  Economy / Economics / Re: Did I Miss Something?... on: February 06, 2020, 11:22:16 PM
It's very popular now because of the internet and that's why it has gained the attention to many investors especially to those that are chasing to buy in while it's cheap.
But despite of this drop, the majority of the news that I've seen is still giving positive report about the said stock/company.

It is so popular and that is why a lot of investors really want a piece of it. As I read on one of the articles, who doesn't want to own a stock that doubles in a month? I think that is how popular will it be in the future.
1519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: February 06, 2020, 04:35:58 PM
There is always a possibility, if the audience give a great reaction to the possible McGregor vs Pacquiao fight, this might happen. Boxing is all about business now a day.  The match goes to where the profit is.  So, let's not lose hope on this one.

I won't lose hope on this, I said that this might not happen but it is a Pacquiao fight vs McGregor, I am pumped the first time I read this. Though, this year, each party has a fight, as far as I know McGregor is scheduled to fight someone, I don't know about the rematch of McGregor and Mayweather but a lot of fans are also pumped about that.

.. if the promoters will able to get this two
camps to sign the contract then the fight will happen.

It is not that easy though. They will still be talking about the weights and other things. Weight is very important in these kind of fights, they might not be that far but who will retain and who will reduce.
1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: February 06, 2020, 03:19:51 PM
Anything is possible for Conor after that last win in UFC, and I must admit that I did not expect him to win in that express way.
I think that if he stay focused he can win against Pacquio but this is totally different game now.

Though this might not happen. Manny Pacquiao listed 3 names that he will possibly face this year and Connor McGregor is not one of them. Also, Mayweather is back at it again where he says he will not fight again, excuse? He is retired.
