1561  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntMiner APW3-12-1600 PSU Series on: June 02, 2015, 02:49:13 PM

any idea of efficiency ?

I was afraid it would be short   of power to do 3 s-5's at 1150gh freq 350  .

Please post details if you can.

Tried it only with one PSU of the 4 hours, and is efficiency is not  bad.

1700 W at  223/216 V

Bad was miners GH/S(avg).
In this you are right. It would be short   of power to do 3 s-5's at 1150gh freq 350  .

1575W at freq 325

1450W at freq 300

1610 W at freq   331,25M

1562  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntMiner APW3-12-1600 PSU Series on: June 01, 2015, 04:48:03 PM
and yet to see any testing on this by anyone on any gear.

which shows the current state of home mining is pretty much dead at the moment.

I have three pieces  APW3-12-1600 PSU.

APW3-12-1600 do not have power switch.  I do not like that.

APW3-12-1600 powered up 3 x Antminer S5 and this is good.

In what world weighs 5x  KNC Neptune Cubes 7 kg?
1564  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What hardware to buy with $500K. Can you get 16NM or 20NM ASICs? on: May 30, 2015, 06:32:04 PM
well im not too shaby on my comment but why not a vacation with some money this ant miners give hard work to calculate good profit and roi but 7 btc like 1600 dollars per day you need 1 year to roi its very high investment in my opinion

Agree. Roy 1 year.
But you can always sell your S5 GHS,
better and faster than physical miners.   The only way to lose,  if the BTC price increases, but then rising incomes as well.

It is very difficult to keep mining 1000 antminer S5

This will require a large investment in cables, power supplies and shelves. Antminer S5 is very capricious,
you need to hire employees.
1565  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What hardware to buy with $500K. Can you get 16NM or 20NM ASICs? on: May 30, 2015, 06:07:09 PM

Is cloud hashing a good bet?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. Buy BTC, and go to www.hashnest.com

Do not forget   Google Auth.

Price: 388.0 USD(1.66819656฿)  Stock: 1566

For 500 000 USD You can buy  1288 Antminer S5

1487 TH/s      6-7 BTC per day,  and no electricity bill at the end of the month.

1566  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntMiner APW3-12-1600 PSU Series on: May 30, 2015, 10:02:35 AM
.... Is this PSU certified by any EU agency anyway?

No. Only and China Export
 logos. No CE logo.
1567  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Water-cooled S5 Modify Instruction on: May 27, 2015, 11:31:18 AM
I just ordered one, can you upload the pics again?

Welcome to the club.

I recommend the purchase of this pump

http://shop.syscooling.com/goods.php?id=26  or

buying this kit  http://shop.syscooling.com/goods.php?id=46

Unfortunately, the radiator is too small. I use only  3 x S5  (6 blade )  with this radiator, But I have it in a room with 30 degrees Celsius and and not with the original fans.   I is attached to the housing 2 x 14cm quiet Fans.

However, it is the quietest 3,4 TH/s miner. Much quieter than KNC 3,3 TH/s Neptune.

If you want to use a single controller by more than 3 blades,  you also need software

Software you get here www.perearstike.ee/S5/softold/SD-S5-20150107.tar.gz

It works 100% with 3 or 4 blade.

1568  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Lifespan of Antminer S5? on: May 27, 2015, 11:01:58 AM
Until the next gen of machines comes out I would suggest just buying hash on hashnest.  You can keep it for only a day and sell it back it you want.  I feel it is a lot less risk than buying an s5.

I want to buy an s1 just for fun, not really to make money.  If you want an s5 for money wait for the new gen, they will be cheaper then.  But who knows when the next gen will come out?  Could be weeks, or months.

If the BTC price rises , you will not get your money back by selling Hashnest GH/s.

currently, S5 1155 GH/s costs Price: 1.63492467฿

I also purchased 1155 GH/s at a price:
1.41540542 ฿  2015-03-09  and    1.80835 ฿     2015-02-22

I bought a total of 251  Antminer S5 from Hashnest.   2015-02-12 - 2015-05-21

This would be  289905 GH/s .

Currently I have only 52 000 GH/s in Hasnest.
I've been selling out my Hashnest S5 miners   many times   and started again, buying they back a cheaper S5  price .

However, if the BTC  price rises back  to 275 USD, then I am still at a loss by selling GH/s.
0.2 BTC from each miner , makes 9 BTC.
1569  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Does anybody actually bought Hashcoins Uranus 6000Ghs Miner ? on: May 25, 2015, 06:00:24 PM
- they do not make chips
- they do not have new hardware as they relay on other chip manufacturers
- they have a bunch of hashfast stuff that no-one wants to buy and they use for their overpriced cloud service

so visit to office does not have any effect.. they show you their re-branded miners (sha256 with HF chips and scrypt that I forgot from whom it was bought..)

You will notice that person is pretty low on activity.  There is a patten of people saying things such as buying, visiting, etc in relation to Hashcoins and having low level activity.

Some might think all having low level activity is random, but personally I think it's a pattern.

Your paranoia exceeds any boundaries.
Unlike you, some of us have lives outside of the forum.

I have purchased a number of used KNC Jupiter miners from eestimees.

He does not have any connection with this gang of Russians who are behind the company Hashcoin.

1572  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashnest question on: May 20, 2015, 01:54:05 PM

No such problems at mining in Bit-x. The only downfall there, you have to invest about 2500 USD to start getting good daily income, but i intend to go there little by little, 0.03 BTC invest today, 0.05 after few days, another 0.10 after few days and so on. I only hope this wll not collapse(although in a FOREX platform there is no reason it should do so)

Bit-x Trading Commissions

There are two types of commissions in bit-x that the clients pay when participating in trading:
transaction commission;
trading commission;

Transaction commission equals 0,02% from the sum of the order at the moment of order creation and is withdrawn at the moment of order activation. The necessity of this commission is determined by the possibility of unfunded orders creation in bit-x. Transaction commission is not refunded in case the order is cancelled by the client.

Trading commission is withdrawn from the wallet at the moment when the order meets its corresponding orders. It constitutes to 0,2% from the sum of the order. Trading commission at the moment of creation and activation of the order can differ from the trading commission at the moment of complete or partial closure of the order since it depends on the order’s exchange rate. For example, if the order was closed at a lower exchange rate than the rate at the moment of its activation, the order sum and the commission will be lower.

Transaction commission and trading commission are added to the order sum and get withdrawn from the wallet, chosen by the client during the order creation as the wallet of payment (field From Wallet).

The values of the commissions to be paid can be seen in the section Order Details in the form for order creation. At the change of the values in the fields of the form, the commissions’ values are automatically changed as well.

Commission values for open and closed orders can be seen in the tab Orders in the user account if to click on the line with the order in question.

At the moment  S5 market not working  for several hours.   Purchase bids are higher than sales bids.

Long live honest tradebots in "honest" Hashnest!
1575  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: May 20, 2015, 12:24:05 PM
Dont spread FUD. Hashnest is the most honest cloud mining option in the entire crypto economy.

Honest cloud mining services do not allow trade bots to market. Hashnest is not honest cloud mining option.

I bought them a total of 144 x  Antminer S5  [2015-03-17 - 2015-05-14]. Last week I sold everything and left only one.

Now I'm going in honest cloud mining , where  are no tradebots.

At the moment  S5 market not working  for several hours.   Purchase bids are higher than sales bids.

Long live honest tradebots in "honest" Hashnest!

1. control the 10 pin cables. they only work in one direction.

2. You can buy used Jupiter Controller.
1577  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S5 BeagleBone network fail - help please! on: May 19, 2015, 07:24:22 PM

Thank you, first useful advice. I already thought of this, but I haven't long cables. By the way, there are two revisions of S5 with different connector (newer has 2 pin more).

You can use new S5 Hash PCB  ( 18 pin connector)   with S5 Control PCB  (16 pin connectors) Need only a 16 pin cable.
Picture of my water cooling S5 project    3 x old blade + 1x new 18 pin blade.

....... Heed the link to the firmware image. As understand it, the latest firmware from Bitmain for the S5 has dropped (i.e. disabled) support for more than 2 blades on a controller.

Software you get here www.perearstike.ee/S5/softold/SD-S5-20150107.tar.gz

It works 100% with 4 blade.

1578  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Is this normal? s5 board temperatures difference on: May 19, 2015, 10:08:25 AM
....

Let me know what you think.

I am absolutely sure that mining is not for you.

Your S5 is nothing wrong . Only a little bit wrong  showing  temperature sensor.  My one S5  sensor  showe  zero, But the miner himself worked properly.

...
I also have 2 chips on each board without its metal parts, like all others. Don't know if this is normal.
...

This is normal.
I purchased 35x S5, none of them has these small radiators.

my s5 doesnt have those gold heat sinks..

i think the first ones had the s3 heatsinks, and then they switched to the flat ones later. or it could be the other way around.

Half of my S5 had the flat ones heatsinks  and   Half of my S3 had the flat ones heatsinks.
S3/S3+ and S5 radiators is exactly the same.  Even the same size and the same weight.

.... Third, this unit is brand new. If you buy a brand new car you expect it to leave the store working, not having to change the tires or something else.
....

Compare the things that are comparable in price.
If you buy  a new car  for 500 USD , I doubt that  there are  tires, probably the only wooden wheels.

I might be wrong, but there is one thing I can recall in connection with Estonia: coinmarket.io

If you still have any of the S5 you can do so
