Anyone see the game between the Pacers and the Sixers? no Joel, but they took the lead majority of the game, until it was down in the 4 minute mark wherein the Pacers take a 4 point lead.

However, they force several turn over and tie the score and force OT. And we all know that when the team that chases and force that OT, they usually have the momentum and so this what happen to them, Pacers got tired the whole regular quarters and then the home team has the final push, 129-126 score.
1582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 05, 2023, 03:00:35 AM

If you were able to read the before Spence vs Crawford thread, I'm sure you might end up being crazy for the amount of criticism that Spence received there lol. Just friendly advice that don't take those seriously and just try to keep up with the discussion.

The most reason is, Spence seemed to avoid Crawford at all times which I don't believe honestly. In terms of strength, I even pick Spence over Crawford for about a 60% chance of winning. However, boxing fans end up disappointed as the supposed clash between them is almost close to reality last year but still got failed.

Moving forward after that failed negotiation, Crawford was able to secure a TKO win against David Avanesyan last month. On the other hand, Spence got involved again in a car accident, although not that serious, and expected to return to the ring either in April or May but his opponent is still unknown.

I think boxing has become more about profits than the best matchmaking. It's a reason why the UFC has taken over and become more popular.

If you have followed boxing for a while you will know that is how Al Haymon operates. Why do you think Mayweather/Pacquiao took so long to get made?
You also have to factor networks as well, that could one reason why it took years for Mayweather vs Pacman to happen, but at least Arum delivered it and become the biggest PPV in history of boxing.

Al Haymon though is very different as compare to Arum, We can hate Top Rank but at least when Arum knows that he will make some money then he will for it. Haymon though wanted all the money for his PBC fighters and doesn't want to fight others on the opposite side like Top Rank fighters, in house money for him or nothing.
1583  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those who survived previous winter, please share some courage! on: January 04, 2023, 09:20:12 AM
Those who've seen previous bear markets, survived several winters, please share some hope and courage.
This is not the end, right? Smiley
Don't look at the equivalent amount in Fiat because for sure you will dishearten to see your portfolio going down. Instead look for the long term, like in the next bull run in 2024/25. And to be able to take advantage of the bull run, you need to accumulate now and that should be your focus. You can buy in bulk, but most of us here buy using a what we call DCA, so it could be weekly or monthly buy. And last, just be mentally tough, and don't panic in this bear market. Sooner or later we will get over with this one and for sure who will be happy that you didn't sell and continue to accumulate and HODL.
1584  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 2023 on: January 04, 2023, 08:19:48 AM
Well I can see the bitcoin price continuing to fall but not to so low like $5,000 or 10k in 2023. I would be fine with a $25,000 price per Bitcoin this year with a possible recession coming and higher interest rates and with all the uncertainty surrounding the war.
$5k, nah, I don't think we will see that price, if worst comes to worsts, become around $10k-$13k will be the final capitulation for us. The war is still in the background, many nations are affected by it even the US, UK and Germany.

I think we just need  lower our projections a bit. I’m still very optimistic long term but this year I wouldn’t recommend focusing too much energy on the price. I’m a long hold on Bitcoin so I would just say be patient and not let the fluctuations get to you.
And I guess we should be optimistic and look for the long term. We will have like just 15 months before the block halving. So if there is energy that we need to focus, that is to look for it and so we should accumulate as much as we can in this bear market 2023 and doesn't matter what will be the lowest or floor price that we will see in this crypto winter.
1585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Factors that contribute to form addictive gambling. on: January 04, 2023, 04:30:14 AM
I think casino how to prey on human emotions, like giving free drinks or the said, gamblers become intoxicated continue to play lost money because their decision is clouded already.

And then it goes on and continue as the gamblers comeback again and get that free drinks, but this time he/she is more greedy and think that he can go against the casino and win, thus falling for the trick and now he become so addicted already and it's hard to get out as you totally lost your logical thinking and judgement.
1586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 04, 2023, 04:03:23 AM
LOL.. a few days back, Errol Spence posted this in Twitter:

https://twitter.com/ErrolSpenceJr/status/1608830906516779011

The post only hints that he will be back in the ring by April 2023. But gives no further clue on who will be the challenger and where the fight will take place. Also, the exact date is not given (posted as "April Xx").

And more interestingly, he posted another tweet, in reply to a poll put up by another user on the likely opponent:

https://twitter.com/ErrolSpenceJr/status/1608831449205182474

The results from the poll (3,583 votes till now) are as follows: Thurman- 48%, Crawford- 35.5%, Boots- 9.1%, Stanionis- 7.4%.

So does it mean that Spence is going to fight Thurman now? or he is gauging what the public opinion is and fortunately it was a hit for those who voted because they want Thurman to be his next opponent.

And it seems that they accepted that he won't be fighting Crawford or Ennis next because of the high risk low reward for him.

So hopefully he has finalized his decision to fight Thurman this April.

He's just making the public more confused on his aim and get them hyped by pretending to face any boxer who will get most votes in his poll. Truth is, he is just delaying his fight against Thurman and we should not forget that this is a mandatory fight too, so that means fighting Thurman is almost inevitable in his side except if he goes for Boots or Crawford? We already know the score between them as Spence chances to win are not that strong. Maybe Spence is aiming for the April Fools Cheesy
Yeah, probably he is trying to mislead the public with this kind of polls and maybe he is weighing what the fans wanted to see for him. And it seems that we have fallen for his trap as the votes goes to Thurman. How quickly though we forget that we all wanted Crawford for him but it seems that the news has died down and we are settled for the next best option and if which there is hype but we all know that Thurman has a long rest and probably have ring rust and that will be advantageous to Spence and that might be his safe fight next in April for all we know.
1587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 04, 2023, 03:41:54 AM
And so the trend continues with high caliber NBA players pushing their limit, Giannis against the Wizards, 55 points, 10 boards, 7 assists. I know, this is payback time for Giannis as some of the bettors are made against him not playing the last time because of the late news about his injuries and so majority of us lost our parlay and singles bet.

As for the Mitchell drug tested, I think it's fair, I didn't click on the link but what is the NBA looking for as a sort of performance enhancing drugs in basketball?
1588  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Expectation for 2023 on: January 03, 2023, 10:15:33 AM
I don't know, but for me, I'm not expecting bitcoin to recover quick this year, on the contrary I think we could see another bottom price.

So I'm not expecting any great things as I have said, and yes, it's could to not have that big expectations so that we don't get disappointed. I think the best thing to do is just long for the long term. If you have that in mind, then you will just accumulate as much bitcoin or any other crypto that you think will make a huge returns in the bull run. So stick with this plan and you will be good.
1589  Other / Archival / Re: [POLL]What do you expect from Bitcoin in 2023? on: January 03, 2023, 09:48:06 AM
I don't know but I voted for this: There will be a continuation of the bearish trend and a new bottom.

For me the bearish trend will continue, and it will be another long year and we could hit another bottom for all we know. The market is still very negative, the sentiment is that investors are not willing to pour their money because of what we have seen like t he collapse of FTX. So at the back of their mind, it's not good unless there will be an event that will make them FOMO and so there will be occasional pump in the price. But throughout, it's going to be another crypto winter for us.
1590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone making a living from Crypto Sports betting? on: January 03, 2023, 09:01:13 AM
For me, it's either Sportbet.io or Stake.com as this are the two leading as sports casino amongst gamblers here.

As for the second question on whether someone here makes a living through sports betting? I'm not sure about that, maybe there are, but if I'm going to bet, the way I see it, majority of the gamblers here bet to have some fun on their favorite sports and not necessarily wanted to make a living out of it. Or bring food in the table for their family based on their gambling because it is going to be very hard, in my opinion.
1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 03, 2023, 08:38:15 AM
Donovan Mitchell!!
71 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists.  Shocked 7/15 - long-distance shots. My oh my, he took the game to overtime where it's almost a white flag game.
Then dominated the whole overtime and snatch the win away from the Bulls.

The highest point made since Kobe in 2006 was 81 points. Mitchell is now listed as the 8th most points in NBA history tied with David Robinson. Wilt still holds the highest at 100.
Absolutely a monster, he found his zone and the Bulls didn't expect that. They chased a 21-point lead and flipped the game.
Yeah, another one for the books this season, when they thought that they have won the game, Mitchell find his zone and they closely chirp that lead and he was short of just 2 rebounds to make it a triple double and bested what Luka did.

Also double overtime win by the Warriors against the Hawks, Klay scoring 54 big points as well.

This season is really one of the big one that we haven't seen for a while as players are elevating this game to the next level.
1592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 03, 2023, 08:10:36 AM
Medvedev will play against Sonego tomorrow he is clearly far superior in this match @1.09 for him. Also low odds @1.01 for Djokovic in his first match in Australia. This 2023 opening tournament is good for Djokovic as preparation for the Australian Open for sure he is targeting a champion to add to his collection of GS titles.
Does anyone remember the great tennis star - Martina Navratilova - she has announced she has cancer and she is going to battle the cancer with all she has. . she has also battled breast cancer in 2010.  ...won 59 grand slam titles across single double and mix double
Of course, who wouldn't remember how great Martina is, and her arch rival, and best friend, Chris Evert, just sad to hear that she has cancer now.

And for Djokovic, he said that he has move on from last year drama so that's good to hear.

Baustista Agut vs Rublev now, I'm taking Rublev at ML 1.53 + Shapovalov ML at 1.53 for a 2.29 odd parlay.
1593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters, how much you really earned in the last two years? on: December 31, 2022, 09:39:38 AM
I stopped to work with non escrow campaigns, even i will join only those are already trading on the exchanges otherwise there are no guarantee to get payment end of the campaign. I heard this (KUOR) is rugged pull so that it’s going worthless, payment was escrowed but hunters got payments with no value on the market.
Every bounty hunter has their own choice, and those you've mentioned are like the common denominators for most bounty hunters.
Escrow funds or tokens to make sure that you'll get paid no matter what happens to the project, there's the allocation ready to be there.
And at the same time, a good bounty manager is a good indicator but not guaranteed that the project or token is good.
We've seen though throughout the last couple of years that even having a good bounty manager doesn't mean that you will be paid. Even the experience one are getting scam as well and it did affect the reputation of some of the bounty managers that their good name was tainted with negative trust and even disappear already from this community.

I'm not sure how much bounty hunters are earning now, but with the way the landscape has change since 2017, not that big though. It's better to learn from this community first and learn how to trade or just join bitcoin paying campaign, just saying.
1594  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin survived the Christmas market pressure on: December 31, 2022, 09:08:18 AM
Just be grateful that we haven't gone down much below 15k, where a lot were speculating that btc will touch below 15k.
If we will sustain this level and if good news will come in the next few days, we may start seeing it to increase.
Otherwise, that's fine. Seems that we have had already received all the negative news this year.
The Luna crash, Voyager bankruptcy, FTX drama and other defi projects that were "hacked" were just few of the big news this year that made impact in this market.
We are hoping more positive news will come this new year. $20k level may not be immediate but we may see it again in the future.

While things could always get worse the only way for this to be the case is if the binance exchange collapsed during the next year, and since it does not seem as if this is likely then we can be pretty sure that we are close to the bottom, now we do not know for how long we are going to remain there, but even if this continues for a long time we need to see this as an opportunity as this means we are going to have many months to save our fiat and then invest it in bitcoin at a reasonable price.

If Binance crashes, then we will see $5k per bitcoin, not just stop at $15k, and we may take years to recover not 2024. In my opinion, the $20k target should be reached by 2023, but before the bull run bitcoin needs to drop one more time below $15k and maybe $12k-13k. There's no need for Binance to crash, but as long as the Fuds about Binance continue to spread and some FTX-related companies or projects declare bankruptcy, bitcoin has a reason to drop below 15k.

We are bullish next year as we have experienced a year of continuous decline, but I do not believe the market will move with our thinking.
I think Binance is still going strong to date and it doesn't look like there will be any problems with Binance. And until now, we have to be grateful that bitcoin is still strong enough to stay at the $16k level and not fall too deep. Bitcoin will surely reach the target of $20k soon so we need not worry as it is only a matter of time that will tell. And if this $16k level survives into the next year, at least the first few weeks, the price will experience a reversal and hopefully it does so that it can return to the $20k level or higher soon. The target for bitcoin ahead of tomorrow's halving will be higher than before so there may be a rapid rise next year before 2024.

Many people are expecting the demise of binance, but I believe it will not happen now and in the near future. Fuds about Binance are not powerful enough to topple Binance, it's not over yet, but I'm sure that Binance will keep the #1 spot in the market.

If you are also following the group of technology stocks, which are considered less volatile markets, this year they also have drops of up to 80% and 90%. So $16k is not a bad end for bitcoin in a volatile economic year.

But I'm looking to invest more in bitcoin, so I don't expect bitcoin to recover and hit $20k in 2023, I want to drop more before bitcoin recovers.

Nah, I don't think that people are expecting the demise of Binance, like the FTX collapse, I will say CZ is too smart to happen to him though.

Yes, the traditional blue chips and tech stocks fall too, of course they are less volatile but they are not spare from the bad effects of the current world economy and it spill over to crypto market that's why we are in the bearish sentiments, worst ever for us. But yeah, we are still here standing and so we have survived. But there is still another year ahead of us that might be the same or worse as well. So just prepare ourselves and expect the unexpected as they call it.
1595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: December 31, 2022, 08:30:50 AM
I'm not a lawyer but I'm thinking this scenario

1. Davis appeared in court, pleads No Contest and maybe the judge will just issue him a community service and pay?
2. Davis settle this out of court and pay the victim?

So possible that his tune up with Hector Garcia will not happened, but the biggest fight against Ryan Garcia can still push through around April-May if his lawyer can get him a good deal, without longer jail sentence, hopefully.

The 2nd scenario is more likely than the 1st one, but if the victim will not accept the payment and still forces that a trial should decide what will happen to him then Davis and his camp have no choice anymore but to go in the 1st scenario stated where his situation is at the hands of the presiding judge and plead. Surely, Davis have the money needed to hire one of the best attorney, so maybe his case will turns out favorable to his side. But I'm afraid that his fight against Hector Garcia this January will be sacrificed because of this incident.

You forget to include a 3rd scenario, wherein the accuser drop her charges against Davis and this is what eventually happen as Vanessa Posso, the mother of Davis’ daughter, changes her stance and said that Gervonta did hurt her and their daughter, so this is the end of the story and it's good to hear that it's a positive note for Davis because it will really have a big effect on his career if ever this cases proceed because it will drag his name and reputation and obviously his career as a boxer.

So we are all good now and hopefully the fight with Hector Garcia first will go on. And after he wins, then they can talk smuck against Ryan Garcia in public again and continue to hurl insults against each other.
Ok so that is good to hear, if the case has been drop because the accuser change her deposition then Davis is vindicated now. And as we can hear from the public, it seems that he has been judge already as guilty as something.

So yes, good news for Davis fans, and now he can go back and focus on Hector Garcia in the first week of January. We all know that this is not going to be an easy fight for him, although it is deem as tune up fights.
1596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling For Fun - What Does This Mean To You? on: December 31, 2022, 07:59:48 AM
Gambling for fun for me is gambling using money that we can afford to lose, so whatever the end result is, winning or losing doesn't matter and won't affect our mentality at all. However, even though players say gambling for fun does not mean not thinking at all about profits or when betting on sports, you just choose to be careless, of course there is still hope of winning and doubling your money, but the final result does not affect our mentality.
Basically that is the very definition of gambling for fun, whether its $100 or $100k as long as you can afford to lose that money regardless of what is the consequences  then you are good to be playing.

Of course at the back of our minds we might be thinking of winning some too, but if not then we will still have that enjoyment that we are looking for when we get ourselves into gambling.
1597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 31, 2022, 07:29:27 AM
5 straight wins for the Pelicans.
After defeating the 76ers today, they just had their 5th winning streak, we saw how they struggled two weeks ago and even had a 4 losing streak but now they are back on track.
Even without Brandon Ingram back yet they still manage to win. CJ McCollum stepping up his game way above the expectation of many, Zion Williamson's offensive stats is still growing and their bench players contributing on the defensive end.
This team really has a deep roster and now they are on the top of the Western Conference again tied with the Denver Nuggets.
CJ though, he is on fire in this game, scoring 42 points and that 3, even on the fast break he is going to pull the trigger. And then Zion taking advantage of a small guard on his, posting Tucker and then scoring at will and passing the ball as well.

I do believed that the team will go deep in the playoff for this season, I don't know when is Ingram coming back, but they are tough to beat.

Also Alvarado defense and steals and then scoring too.
1598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you avoid anything funded by Alameda Research / FTX ? on: December 30, 2022, 10:38:40 AM
And this is very unfortunate, because in the beginning, there are a lot of promise from this project and even hit all time high in the bull run. Unfortunately, after that and just like the rest of altcoins, it went down. But it's just the bear market so everyone is going to decline right? yeah, but there were issues like the hacks and it's network security. Now, it's name was also in the middle of the Alameda Research/FTX controversy that I will say like the majority of most experience members here, stay away from Solana for now.
1599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Die or Pump Up in 2023? on: December 30, 2022, 10:08:07 AM
Again, Bitcoin and dying in one sentence doesn't make sense, it's too big to fall at this point.

This is just another bear market for us, I know everyone is not comfortable, but I guess as we go along in this cycle, we will understand that this Bitcoin's natural path. So next year, maybe it could be worst, but don't be afraid and say that it's the end of it. We will recover in 2024, and once we see the price starts to pump again, everyone will be reassured that the bull run will somehow start, specially after the halving.
1600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 30, 2022, 09:01:09 AM

But we know that inside this sport, upset is always possible. We will expect an entertaining exchange of punches from these two gentlemen,

I'm assuming to see a good KO finished whoever wins. Both deserve to earn the praise for each fan who will support this fight.

Yes, as I have said, knockout will be the best bet for this fight. But has the same devastating power, it's just the matter on who will be the fastest to hit the home run punch.

I would not call an upset if Ryan Garcia would win this fight. He might be an underdog but only a slight underdog, so it's not a big deal that we should be using as a basis that Tank Davis is way superior. What I believe to witness is that it will be a very entertaining fight, it's a very unpredictable fight we would not know who will win until there's a KO or judges will grade the fight.
Yeah, I'm not seeing Davis to be like a huge runaway favorite, this fight is going to be close no matter what the odds will be in the bookmarkers. Even right now, we wont' see any clear advantage anyone has against each other.

They have devastating power, both have the same speed, Ryan is obviously taller, but Davis has the experience and the ring IQ. We can even call this match straight up 50:50. But still depends on our favorite bookies on who is the favorite and the slight underdog.
