1621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 21, 2022, 02:48:55 PM
Only one team still remains undefeated which is the Magnolia Hotshots.

They'll be playing the Ginebra San Miguel this Sunday who came from a loss against the Phoenix, I think I found an opportunity here, of course I'm going to be on Ginebra as they always bounce back everytime they lose.

We will certainly find a good betting odds in favor of Ginebra, in fact, I would not be surprise if Ginebra will be listed as the underdog on that game. Magnolia has been so consistent lately, their import is very efficient, but against Justin Brownlee, I know where to side as Brownlee is already proven.

I'm guessing, maybe Ginebra will be +2.5 in that game, hopefully, my guess is correct so that ML odds will be more attractive.
1622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 21, 2022, 01:43:10 PM
It's not a good sight to see only 3 players in the Lakers have double digits in points. Their critics will probably dissect this game.

But the center of the criticism will be on Westbrook. I'm so disappointed with his performance, it looks like he is also not happy with his teammates, you can tell by looking at his production, that's not the same Westbrook we saw years ago. Back then, he also played with superstars like Durant and Harden, but Westbrook does really excel unlike now that he cause the struggle of this team.
1623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 21, 2022, 01:00:11 PM
And as I have said before, I suspect that one reason beside the split and possible rematch clause, is the PPV price. Because as we all know there are a lot that it is streaming it for free and it we are going to see the numbers in most recent fights, it is on a decline. The Canelo vs GGG trilogy was just over 1 million buys and if I'm not mistaken, it fell to what it is expected or predicted to be around 1.3-1.5 buys. And so maybe this could be one sticking points, how much they will charge the viewing public, do they need to increased since this is a mega fight, or it is enough for $75-$79.99 price?

I think boxing fans will have to problem purchasing the ticket and watch it thru ppv, as you have said this is a mega fight and a must watch for all of us.

So for sure it will do good numbers, above 1 Million is not that bad in my opinion.

For me this is not one issues in the negotiation, it's really the split or the network money that is going to pour here and of course they want to make sure that they will make money as the guaranteed asking price by the 2 boxers is big.

We don't know the real reason, we have lots of speculation on why this fight will not happen. Crawford already had a scheduled fight, so I think this year we will not see this mega fight, it doesn't matter if it will take a long time for the negotiation to finalize as long it will happen, but both boxing superstars should continue to be active.
1624  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may drop to $15k or so but it'll definitely hit $300k+ in coming years on: October 20, 2022, 09:17:18 PM
That's just my thoughts. Maybe by 2024, unless all hell breaks loose.

As long as internet keeps chugging along though, BTC will prevail. Smiley
Bitcoin will always grow its value every year. Despite of its inevitable price fall backs, it will never fail to recover and at the end of the day when most of the altcoins are dying and losing their value, bitcoin will always stand up and survive. And maybe the reason why even if the current market is in crisis, we are still expecting bitcoin to reach another all time high once the bull season is here. $300k is not that bad though, but I would say let’s target $100k first and when we’re already there, then we’ll set another higher target price for bitcoin.
1625  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy trading profitable? on: October 20, 2022, 08:43:42 PM
This is not a question of how profitable it is but how effective it is. Profit will depends on the amount traded. And the effectiveness or choosing whom to copy is the most important. It might be very efficient because you just copy someone else trade but becoming dependable to others but usually is the path of getting wreck.
Even if you say that you are copying trading from a higher position, that trade won’t still be profitable if he is also using a non-working and non-profitable strategy. That is why it’s not how profitable a trade is but more on how effective those trading strategies are that are enough to chase more profits than losses. However, for me copy trading is totally fine, but you should learn also by yourself on how to trade effectively  because that’s how good traders are supposed to do.
1626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another opportunity is coming, a time to hold on: October 20, 2022, 02:08:01 PM
I believe if this kind of research is conducted in many other countries, more people will want to invest in crypto by 2024. And what should we expect by that time and 2025? Bull run.

Even if no research is conducted, it's obvious that people will want to invest in crypto now that they know its potential in our financial system unlike before that it's only branded as a currency used by criminals.  And if you're  a true investor, you wouldn't wait for 2024 before investing into cryptocurrencies. You will start accumulating now because its price is down more than 50% of ATH.
You are right mate. With or without research, it’s an initiative for us if we go for crypto investments because we believe it’s huge potentials to succeed, or do the opposite way around and stay unattached to crypto. Because if we have faith in crypto, we won’t rely on the upcoming events that may bring positive effects on the market, but rather take the risk now and start investing. For me, it’s now or never, as we can’t afford anymore to miss the train while there are huge opportunities to own and store bitcoin now.
1627  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why newbies get banned on: October 20, 2022, 01:45:58 PM
I recommend all newbies to stick with this beginner and help sections for days before thinking of other sections of the platform, By so doing. You gradually become a pro in your area of specialization.

For me and what other said above we don't need to stick in beginners and Help board in order to know the rules and regulations it because,  if we want to know then we need to familiarize only the basic rules and regulation to the forum and it's not just hard to familiarize. But also as we know that most of the user here in forum got banned it because of plagiarism, which is prohibited to the forum and not just newbie but also high ranks doing this mistake to earn more achievement.
It doesn’t take a genius to know how to be banned free in the forum. If you read and understand the rules, and follow it religiously, I guess no one will be ban and be given red flags in the forum. After all, it’s all about building basic knowledge and basic skills, if you can’t do that, better to stay away from the forum because here, we are not the boss of our own, we have to strictly abide with the rules so we can stay longer learning and earning from the forum.
1628  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Currency should be Integrated into School Curriculum on: October 19, 2022, 09:54:50 PM
Part of the curriculum might be too much. Discussions about cryptocurrency can include those subjects related to Economics and Finance. There's no need to label it up the same with those subjects that should be really part of the school's curriculum.

Anyways, here in our country, it was being pushed this year by our main central bank that the discussion of crypto should be included in teaching.

I'm not sure though what's the current status of this or if it's already commenced.
My though about this one is cryptocurrency will only be included in the school curriculum once the government will adopt it and imposed it in all schools to be part of the school curriculum. Otherwise, we will only stick to Finance as it’s already been teaching in schools particularly for those courses related to money management, or banking management and finance.
1629  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull Market, Is it going to come soon or Will People have to Wait More.. on: October 19, 2022, 09:20:46 PM
I believe that waiting is not the problem, people could wait, there are a lot of people who cannot and they sell, but there are also a lot of people with money who buy right at this moment when it's low, and it’s not crashing down neither, it's staying around 20k for the past many months, so it’s doing fine for buyers as well, they are not losing money.

You could have bought bitcoin nearly 5 months ago and you would be not in much loss right now, maybe even in profit if you are lucky. So, waiting is not the problem, it’s not knowing what would cause it to go up again, after so long and not going up, there needs to be something that will take it higher, but what that will be is unknown.
It all ends in individual’s choices in the market. Some can’t hardly wait for the bullish season, then there’s no wrong in selling for profits. As long as you are profiting, no matter how small it is, that’s way better than selling at a loss. And for those who always hopes for a bullish season, then buy as much as you can while there is opportunity to buy. In the end, once the final bull market is here, everyone will reap the fruits of their hardwork and gain huge amount of profits.
1630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would the world be if Bitcoin wasn't created on: October 19, 2022, 08:51:54 PM
If Bitcoin wasn't created then what you mentioned wouldn't have happened nor would altcoins have appeared thus creating a lot of news about crypto hacking.
But I'm grateful that Bitcoin exists because it has quite an impact on my life because through Bitcoin I understand about investing and how important it is even though it's not just doing it in Bitcoin.
If bitcoin does not exist, most likely we are still attached and mostly dependent on fiat right now, without having known that there are more opportunities to gain an income through engaging in crypto jobs or through bitcoin. And people would never have known about bitcoin investing and trading that made a lot of millionaires in this present times. And I would not have been this confident right now without bitcoin as my biggest source of income
1631  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Threat lies in every corner while investing in crypto (a must read for newbies) on: October 18, 2022, 09:48:44 PM
Most of the new investors and developers on crypto are those school boys that wants quick buck on there investment or by developing shit projects that involves NFT or DeFi. Crypto is infested by a lot of scammer and at the same time newbie traders are always the victim on this kind scheme.

Crypto is already risky even before but the existence of NFT and other new shit idea that makes scammers scam easily by just creating garbage NFT and worthless token makes the crypto space more risky. The fun fact is people never learned to stay away on this shit project despite that they already know that it’s a scam. People only wants to ride the hype so they will never learn.
As most of the new investors are motivated with greed and they only want the quickest profits, then scammers are force to give what they want. The reason why a lot of new projects these days seem to be profitable at first but later on, when they already achieve their target profits, developers just leave and abandon the project, leaving all the investors losing their capital.

Crypto investments are highly risky, and investors even made it higher when they come to the market unprepared and only aim for profits, without the passion and hardwork to work on it first.
1632  Economy / Economics / Re: Competition in business on: October 18, 2022, 09:27:29 PM
Competition in business is extremely important for the better performance of organisations, companies and entrepreneurs.  It helps them to grow, think different, introduce new things and ideas on market. A healthy competition is extremely important for business and it affects prices alot as everyone wants to increase its sales in market and for that they keep prices in range. Competition helps to extend  market size and to get rid of monoply.
Competition is way more advantageous because it makes you think of new innovations that will attract your clients so that the sales progress will be very possible. And when there is healthy competition, there is surely positive results that will take place after that. Though for some reasons it may make other businesses fall, but it only means that those were weak and have no strong foundations, while those who succeed and even grow more have more long term profitability assurance.
1633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What efforts have you made to raise bitcoin awareness in your community? on: October 17, 2022, 09:57:07 PM
We live in a modern world, and it is the responsibility of those who are educated to educate those around them, because not everything in this life is learned in school. Aside from attending school, there are numerous ways to learn. We wake up each day and see new things, so learning is all around us.
In 2016, a friend of mine suggested that I come and invest in Bitcoin; I was shocked, and I told him that I would not. I thought it was all a scam, and I don't like online stuff because I don't believe in it, so I told my friend, "Okay, since you said it's not a scam, teach me about bitcoin." I did some folder research on it and discovered that it is true. My friend introduced me to bitcoin. I began learning how to trade it, and from there I began investing in Bitcoin. My investment gradually grew in my favor, and I began to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I was so surprised when my people transferred the thought I had for my friend before I joined to me. I started spreading the word about bitcoin, and while not everyone believes in it, it has made me less suspicious. Even now, most people believe it is a scam. I noticed that some of us here are raising awareness. No, charity starts at home.
Good thing if all the people we come to talk about bitcoin will always have the same mindset as you, but in reality only 1 out of 10 will be able to do that. Most of the people are close pd minder about crypto and they always think it’s a big scam and against the government regulations. The reason why I never care letting some people aware about crypto, I’ll just wait to learn it from their own will.
1634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 15, 2022, 09:31:52 PM
As for the betting discussion, Inoue by a decision is not that likely and I expect this will be a KO but the challenge is to know what range it will happen.
Maybe, however, if you want your KO bet to be exciting, you need to guess correctly which rounds Inoue will KO Butler. Usually the formats are rounds 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12.. You will only choose one for better odds, that's still 25% chance only if it will be a KO win by Inoue indeed.

Well, it's kinda hard to put a bet on the first three rounds because I know Butler won't be facing Inoue on a toe-to-toe match here because he'd probably end the fight within the 1st or 2nd round. Strongest option for me is the second one, that might be the time where Butler is already cornered. How about you, what do you think?

Possible mate, that is the hardest part though of this kind of 'round range' bet because it's going to be very difficult to predict. And just like in the Inoue fight, we didn't see that Inoue is going to knockout him out in just 2 rounds.

But if you think that Butler is not going to go toe to toe early because he is afraid that he might get knock out then yeah, 4-6 might be a good option to put your money in.

That's a good point, 4-6 rounds maybe the rounds where Butler could go down because Inoue will surely not gonna stop chasing him to finish the fight early. Inoue knows Butler is not a heavy puncher, so he might continue to be aggressive until he will catch Butler and hurt him.

Well, hopefully that range will give a very attractive odds so we will be entice to place our bet.
1635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 15, 2022, 02:32:39 PM
..... it's his comeback fight, he understands that he needs to make a noise for him to have a big fight next.

Definitely he will do that, but it seemed like it's just a cherry-picked fight for him since obviously as we can see on the betting odds, Lomachenko is heavily favored.

source : Loma vs Ortiz odds

More betting options will be available soon I believe, but getting 1.06 only of your bet, does not look attractive, so there's no choice but to wait for a little time.
1636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: October 15, 2022, 01:25:31 PM
No one knows who's going to win but basing from how they fought last time, if Haney still has the dominance during the fight the
outcome may still be the same.

Haney knows what's at stake in this fight, I mean if he wins this rematch then it would mean that he would fight Loma next which I think is a money fight for both of them and that would be interesting as well as both fighters are very technical.

So with that being said, I'll go for Haney by decision this time with a not so attractive odds but for me is the way to go.

Yes, it is not so attractive so I think I'm going with Haney winning by KO as it's currently at 3.40 in my bookie. I know there's a little chance and the odds says a lot, however, if Kambosos will try to be more aggressive, that will make him careless and that could be the reason why he will get KO.

I could be wrong, but I'm okay because if I'm right, I would go home big.
1637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 15, 2022, 12:48:35 PM
if only the coaching staff will give him enough playing time, he can give more help the team to win.

It won't happen. Instead of giving him enough playing time, why not give that playing time instead to a caliber player?

He's fit in the supporting role, not as a part of the main cast. He can be a valuable backup.

There are times that he played more minutes during the last playoffs, and he was making good minutes. What I'm thinking is, how about giving him more playing time to build more confidence, maybe he is not anymore in his prime but with his experience and his aggressiveness inside, he sure can be a huge asset to the team.

Quote
Another reason why he is given limited playing time is, it was the health recommendation after being in a major injury.
I think over time that injury will heal and he will be fully healthy again. Derrick Rose was once seriously injured but when he played in the Knicks, the coaching staff trusted him and he played heavy minutes.
1638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 15, 2022, 12:15:01 PM
Just like what happened with DeMarcus Cousins. Injuries after injury made him less valuable and even today he is having a hard time finding a team.

One of the worst things that happened in a player's history regarding the possibility of getting a good contract.

That year, I remember that he was already expecting a max contract in the off-season not just with the New Orleans Pelicans but on other teams as well. Unfortunately, the injury came and from there, he didn't have a chance now to taste a very good contract until his value depreciate up to this point.

I hope the Denver Nuggets can give him another shot even for 1-year basis.

As long as he remained healthy, he can still be a good asset coming off the bench.

He can be a great addition to the team, and that is proven because we've seen him already in the past playoffs his contribution was really valuable. I can't discount his will to contribute to the team, if only the coaching staff will give him enough playing time, he can give more help the team to win.
1639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 15, 2022, 08:04:20 AM

Pacquiao wants Spence vs. Crawford winner

Manny Pacquiao was asked if he’d be interested in fighting the Errol Spence Jr vs. Terence Crawford winner and his response was "why not if that's possible?".

To make that happen though, he needs to come out from retirement. Smiley

I like Pacman, I respect what he has done in the sport of boxing, however, I did not know that he is presently a comedian. If he won versus Ugas to hold the WBA welterweight championship, I will think maybe there is an argument for Pacman. However, Ugas was gave a very convincing performance and has shown Pacman's old age.

I honestly have not read the article yet. This might be another sarcastic statement from Pacman and the sports news media are turning it into clickbait hehe.

Pacman is not done yet if he thinks he can still fight, he still has the fans and I think if there was not changes of opponent, there's a chance that he can give Spence a big problem in the fight in case he would still lose. He is a very discipline man, and I think fans would still want to see him, so why not?
1640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 15, 2022, 07:46:30 AM
Just another day for Gin kings, same with other teams losing is part of the game, they just need to move forward and try bouncing back then start winning again.

It's like Ginebra was really eyeing to go a win against the Bay Area Dragons. The confidence is high, the eagerness is high, and the determination is high to the fact that facing a team as tough as Bay Area Dragons can really bring excitement as beating this team can erase the thoughts of their critics that they are nothing against this team.

Watching the early quarters of their game against Phoenix it seems that BGSM is just playing relaxed. Not saying they are comfortable to win but Phoenix also has the feeling I mentioned above as Ginebra is a tough team to beat. BGSM just become aggressive when they are still behind with a few minutes remaining on the regulations and as mentioned above, that's the first time Brownlee confronts a player defending him and that is even a rookie. As I watched the replay of that play, Brownlee should just let it go as that was part of the game. But since they are trying to catch up with the scores, maybe frustrations arise from him which is unusual for him.

There's also a play where Japeth Aguilar connects a shoulder right in front of the face of whom he is defending which is something that shouldn't happen. I don't know what happened to Ginebra but yes, as you said, just another day for a team that even a Favorite to win, upset can still happen. Phoenix on the other hand is not that weak to consider.

Ginebra was not undefeated coming to that game, so it's not surprising that they lose again IMO. Their first game, they also lose to the Rain or Shine, was even worst because Rain or Shine beat them by 22 points,  so you can tell that this team still has a little problem which I hope they'll be able to fix soon to achieve consistency.
