1661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN VS LANDED PROPERTY on: November 07, 2022, 11:45:35 AM

Will you sell Bitcoin to buy a land or sell a land to buy Bitcoin?
What would you rather invest in?

In my opinion both bitcoin and Real Estate are two excellent investments that every investor should hold in his portfolio. Investing in properties is a good way to store value and get a monthly rent payment, the problem is that it requires a lot of capital and it locks it down for a long period of time. With bitcoins we also have a good way to store value and it's very liquid, we can easily sell holdings if we need cash. In case I had two choose between one of the two I would go with bitcoins. There is much more upside potential with bitcoins, the price is much closer to its 52 week low, whereas property prices are still very expensive at the moment. The problem I have with real estate is that interest rates are rising sharply at the moment, which is going to make financing more difficult. I would wait for property prices to come down before making an investment.

For OP, there is no need of increasing the bet value after every roll. You can make use of the strategy option available with the casinos where you'll get a list of strategies. Martingale, D'Alembert system and you'll also have the access to create your own strategy. Maybe you can try with the feature and understand how perfect is the strategy to bring wins. Roll Eyes

It's the first time I am hearing about the casinos offering us betting strategies. It sounds very cool and now I am wondering how many casinos offer this option and how many people have a made a profit with it. Is this maybe part of the automated betting section? I tried this myself only a few times with Dice and always lost my money. There were so many bets happening that never made any profit for me. In case you can combine different strategies now it seems much more sophisticated. But we need to remember that in every strategy the casino still has a house edge over us. In my opinion the one perfect strategy doesn't exist, even the best strategy is no guarantee to make a profit, we need luck to remain profitable over a longer period of time. And the luck will run out eventually, losing streaks are pretty common in gambling, at least for me. That's why I try to stay away from gambling bots or automated betting that can lead to very big losses.
1663  Economy / Economics / Re: Do your work. on: November 07, 2022, 07:30:01 AM
Invest your saving in precious metals like gold and silver or digital assets like bitcoin, or it can in some potential stock or it can be in real estate. Invest your money where ever you want. Just do not keep it in a bank. The Bank interest rate is not higher than the inflation. You are losing money not gaining it. The point is to invest even if your saving is negligible.

It's a good idea to invest your money instead of keeping it in a savings account, but the investing needs to be done in the right way to avoid losses. It sounds a bit like you promote any form of investment over saving at the bank. The main feature of parking your money in cash or moving it into bonds is that you can't lose money there. If you look at gold for example, it was the best asset in the past to protect us from inflation and hold it's value during a crisis. But this year gold lost 8% of it's value while we face inflation rates of 10% and are in an energy crisis. With stocks it's even more problematic, most of the stocks this year lost money, so holding cash would have been the better trade. For 2023 things could turn worth, there is no end in sight for the high inflation rates and in Europe we are going into recession. With this in mind we are probably not yet an the turning point for stocks and I would be very cautious which to buy. Real estate is another issue with the rising interest rates, it's a good idea to invest some money into it, but financing cost are going to rise even more next year which should lower the price of real estate eventually. Buying right now could still be expensive compared to next year. In my opinion the best would be to add in crypto currencies to avoid holding larger amounts of fiat cash.
1664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have your winnings lured someone into gambling ? on: November 07, 2022, 07:16:26 AM
Have your winning story or celebration lured someone you know into gambling because he wants to win big like you

Not that I am aware of, so far all my friends I talk about gambling with, are also gamblers and we sometimes share each other success stories. But I never had a really big win yet, I do get lucky from time to time with some decent wins, in absolute terms though these are not living changing wins and will probably not attract anybody to join gambling. Whenever I go to a physical casino to gamble with my friends we have an easy rule, whoever wins the most money has to pay for gas and the food or drinks after. So the motivation is not the strongest to make the most money during a night, and even if you lose everything you still have decent night out. The most money I won in gambling comes from poker, but the game I play for more than 10 years and you have to build up a bankroll over time. That is why I always tell a bit more about poker when I share some success stories, it's not that you should jump into the higher blind games when you are a complete beginner. Also I don't want to "lure" my friends or family into anything, they should understand the risk they take and decide for themselves. The problem with luring someone in, is that if things go sideways and he loses his money, it will be blamed on you. Better not to risk a good relationship for gambling in my opinion.
1665  Economy / Economics / Re: Is long-term employee retention a losing battle? on: November 06, 2022, 09:34:06 AM
What do you think? Are companies losing the battle for long term employee retention?

To me it seems so that companies are struggling to keep employee for a longer period of time in today's world. Maybe it's a new generations thing and part of the mindset of employees now to always look for a better deal, for a new promotions or higher salary. Like what we are doing with shopping these days, we are not sticking to one stores we like and we have been there in the past, rather we compare prices all across countries to find the one store that offers a little bit better deal. When I think of my grand father or even father, the both worked only for two different companies in their whole life. What was a big difference for them compared to me now is that the companies they worked for had a special retirement plan, you need to work a minimum of 30 years for them and then you became eligible for a private retirement payout. The money you get on top of your government retirement money is large part of the salary and it would make no sense to switch companies after working their 20 years. Today it is very different, special retirement packages are independent from the company and an employee can take it with him when he switches the company. There is no real incentive anymore to only stick to one or two companies your whole life.
1666  Economy / Gambling / Re: I am opening a crypto casino / sportsbook what should we add? on: November 06, 2022, 09:15:27 AM

2) we are also going to have a live casino

Nice to see another crypto casino coming next month. It's always great to check out a new websites and see their games. I hope you are successful and can make it work in the gambling industry. Especially your second part sounds very promising, we don't have many casinos with live gambling yet and it would be a good alternative to see actual games and not only virtual ones for a change. One more thing you should be adding if you have the time would be a chat function, so you can interact with other gamblers during the live casino games. Going into sports betting and casino gambling all at once it a lot of work. But your timing is not bad, launching during the christmas period should attract a lot of new customers.  Let's hope you will run some special promotions for the friends here on the forum.

Just received my price and want to say thank you @Poker Player for this little analysis, it was fun and we should have more poker content here on the forum. Also congratulations @tokeweed for second place, it's better to share the price with more people. Have a great sunday
1668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting? on: November 05, 2022, 09:23:21 AM

We have an active gambling discussion section and I would very much love to hear the opinions of experienced gamblers on which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting?

These games are very different from each other as in some games you influence your chance of winning by skill, or with knowledge, and other games give you the same odds of winning no matter what. First of all we have the lottery where you pick 6-9 number, winning here is the hardest of all games. To pick all correct numbers is a 1 in 140 million chance, it is more likely to get hit by a lightning than to win the lottery. Also it doesn’t matter how experienced you are, the chances of winning are always the same, no matter the numbers you pick. The only thing you can do is to pick less likely numbers taken by other players, so that if you win you don’t have to share your winnings with other people. Online gambling is very different from lottery, because you can pick the games you like and according to the winning chances you are looking for. There are a lot of different strategies you can pick to try and beat the casino. No matter what we do though, our chances are winnings not optimal. The casino has it's house edge to make sure they make a profit in the long run. With lottery you can play your whole life and never win one time the jackpot, whereas with gambling in a casino thes chances are much better to win the jackpot one day. And then there is sports betting which is completely different again, this is the only form of gambling where you can consistently beat the bookmaker and other gamblers. In case you have a good understanding of a sport and their leagues, you can develop an excellent hand at picking the winners and make a decent profit with betting. There is no casino with better winning chances than you, it's all about make the right call for each new game.
1669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would this Lead to the Mass Adoption of Bitcoin? on: November 05, 2022, 08:21:32 AM
I read this, and the first thought that came to mind was, if Elon Musk consents to this we might likely see the bitcoin's mass adoption. Now Assuming this happens, do you think we may see the technical mass adoption of bitcoin?

I don't think this is going to lead to a mass adaption of Bitcoins. Someone who has never used crypto currencies in his life is not going to invest into them only to pay $8. This would be only for people who already own bitcoins. When it comes to Elon Musk and crypto currencies I am cautious and not trusting good news anymore. There were too many events in the past where he used his twitter fame to influence crypto prices. For his Tesla company he doesn't want to accept bitcoin in mass anymore, so why now with twitter? Maybe he will rather boost another crypto currency again. Another question is also how many people are willing to pay $8 USD for the blue check mark? There is already an public outcry against it, and the argument that Twitter needs to do it against the Bots and Trolls seems not so valid to me. If someone really enjoys trolling other people online, he is happily going to pay $8 for it, if it makes him seem more legit.  I am not going to bet on Elon Musk recovering the Bitcoin market through Twitter this year. And even if he would do so, there is no guarantee that it's going to stay like that. He could change his mind again and send Bitcoin crashing again like in the past. I wish the crypto market would be a bit more independent from Elon Musk.
1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How are Online casino's and sports betting platforms coping? on: November 05, 2022, 08:15:05 AM
Online casinos and sports betting platforms are big businesses like we all know, and currently considering the economic situation of things around the world many businesses are affected and have been taking measures to cut costs in terms of reducing staff, taking loans etc to still be able to sustain operations. How do you think online casinos and sports betting platforms are adjusting to manage the situation?

I feel like gambling is always a strong business during turbulent times, when the world is in crisis people are looking for a way out. With gambling we have the chance to become rich quickly, even when we lost our job or things are not looking food anymore. It seems that people are more willing to save money in other aspects in life, rather than stepping down from gambling. In the last few weeks I noticed this in my country, everybody is playing lottery lately. Even people who haven't played lottery before are now in the gambling fever and play every week. We are seeing new jackpots every months and many people talk about gambling publicly. This should mean that business wise casino are doing fine. The sports betting platforms are getting ready for the worldcup, which will start in 3 weeks and is bringing in a lot of new business. I wouldn't expect bookmakers to reduce any staff before Christmas. Same goes for the casinos, they likely have some special promotions and advertising planned for the end of the year that is going to bring in a lot of new business. So for this year I wouldn't expect many changes in the casino business, and for next year we will have to wait and see how the economy and the inflation is going to recover.
1671  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you bet ESports or table tennis? If so, this is a must read. on: November 05, 2022, 08:00:28 AM
I can guarantee you that I am not a scammer.

One pick a day for a week lol 😆

Mate, We won 19 matches in a row yesterday. Keep in mind, you can’t just go on a site and max bet TT or e sports. Obviously it’s much better to mix it up with major sports and also lose a game here and there on purpose so you don’t get limited.

Why do you sign up only to tell us that? If your strategy guarantees a 99.99% profit, isn't it dumb to share it for free on the internet? Why not use it yourself to get rich quickly. I mean if you were a member here on the forum for many years and discovered an secret strategy it's nice of you to share with us, but you only signed up on the forum to ask for people to contact you outside of the forum. This is very suspicious and not really trustworthy. Also what is up with table tennis and Esports, these two don't seem very similar.
1672  Economy / Gambling / Re: Black Friday fever: do you wait for extra bonuses from casinos? on: November 05, 2022, 07:55:14 AM
Question - are you expecting exclusive promo offerings on the Black Friday?

Yes I am counting on some nice promotions this year. So far 2022 has been terrible and with all the economic issues going on, I really hope that the gambling industry has some treats for us planned. It's only 3 weeks left until Black Friday and I am waiting to make some new deposit to take advantage of any new promotion. The best would be some promotions from the big sportsbooks, it would make sense for them to run a special advertising campaign for the Worldcup together with Black Friday. The Worldcup only starts one day later and  I need some new bankroll for my bets. So far I didn't place any bets and want to take advantage of any promotion coming out. In my opinion it would make a lot of sense for bookmakers to run their promotions in November instead of waiting for Christmas when the Worldcup is over. Same goes for the casinos that want to treat their loyal gamblers, running a good promotion before the christmas period in December will attract a lot of new activity. Let's hope the end of the year will be better than the start of the year.
1673  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why does everyone want to trade? on: November 05, 2022, 07:49:53 AM

How long do you think to learn to be perfect in trading generally both binary options and spot trading or any other trading?

I have started trading a long time ago, the first time I bought my own stocks was 14 years ago. In highschool we had a stock trading simulation sponsored by a bank where could trade a fake account for 3 months and win some prizes. After that I got so interested that I wanted to trade my on own and my parents helped me to setup my own account. At the same time I also started reading a lot of books about it, which also included futures and option trading. So when I joined university a few and me we started to trade futures on our first real brokerage account, with real margin calls. It went horribly wrong and we lost a lot of money and took a break from it for 1 year. I think it's normal for young interested students to try out a new forms of trading, especially when you have been profitable with trading vanilla products. The same thing happens in the crypto market, you make some money with your first few trades and don’t think anything can go wrong anymore. This lead me to take too much risk. My recommendation is to start trading anything more complex than the vanilla coins very small and get experienced first. As a beginner you should always start first in the sport market before switch to furutres and options. And even after many years of experience, there is not one perfect strategy that you can always follow to make a guarantee profit. Markets move very fast and we need to constantly reevaluate our strategies to see if anything changed and if we remain profitable with it.
1674  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you further your degree from school, or learn a new skill after college? on: November 05, 2022, 07:16:45 AM
It's a bit hard to give a detailed recommendation without knowing more about them, their field of studies and where their interest are. Let's say you really like the college atmosphere, studying a lot and writing papers, than I would recommend you go for a higher eduction. Getting a PhD only makes sense if you have a passion in the field and like to study. Getting a higher qualification only with the goal to get a better job later than it's not the best move in my opinion. There is only a small fraction of jobs where a PhD is really necessary to get the job, in most fields getting work experience is much better. You can be the best qualified and educated person, if you have 0 work experience it's going to be hard to get a good job. My advice would be to find the area you want to work in later in life and work towards that goal. Get the necessary work experience when you are young and don't be afraid to switch career paths if it helps your long term goal.
1675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you Consider the Price of Bitcoin to be More Important than its Purpose? on: November 05, 2022, 06:57:12 AM
Do you consider the price of Bitcoin to be more important than its purpose?

No definitely not, in my opinion is the purpose of Bitcoins 10 times more important than the price. For day traders it's all about the price, they are looking for the short term gain as they buy and sell each day. For me it's about the long term prosperity of Bitcoins. I stopped actively trading bitcoins a long time ago and joined the HODL community. It's much less stress and requires not a lot of time to buy and hold longterm. The price of Bitcoins is always going to fluctuate, as does any other asset in the world. But as long as there is a strong purpose behind bitcoins the longterm trend is going to be upwards. If bitcoin would lose its purpose, or become less dominant as the number one crypto currency, then also the price is going to be affected. Short term traders and long term investors need to work together to keep the bitcoin market active, if one of these groups would leave the market than the bitcoin price would collapse, and not recover if there is no new purpose for it.
1676  Economy / Economics / Re: Is recession coming actually? on: November 02, 2022, 03:43:12 PM

So the question is, what is going on there, are we really heading to recession? (or this is how markets work, so that people always speculate? )

Yea we are heading for a recession. Speculators can influence the market, but that is only minor compared to actual economic situation. There are a few important factors which look really bad for 2023. First of all inflation is expected to remain at double digits for 2023. This is probably the worst thing to happen after the Ukraine Russia war this year. In Western countries we have not seen such kind of inflation rates in 40 years. Investors and consumers are scarred and afraid to use their money. The Christmas business this year is going to be bad as many people are struggling with higher living expenses and wages are not rising fast enough. Same with investors, they sold many risky assets only to hold cash. For the economy its very bad if people only hold cash and don't spend it. This will result in lower production and investment for the next year. The reversal of energy prices might only be short term and will not offset the damage it has done the last 10 months. I would prepare for 2023 getting worse than 2022.
1677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎵 What kind of music do you listen when you gamble? 🎶🎧 on: November 02, 2022, 03:26:30 PM
Which songs are you listening when you play slots or table games at casinos, or when you place bets on sportsbooks ?

Interesting question, could be nice to add a poll maybe for people to mark their favourite genre when gambling. For me it's rock, music with strong drums give me energy and keep me excited. I always shuffle trough my music, so there is a wide range of artist I like to listen. For the last few weeks I have been listening to Sabaton back and force. Awesome band with a lot of great songs. Only when it comes to playing poker on final tables I have a fixed music I always listen to. It's my all time favourites with Metallica Fear in the Dark, AC/DC Thunderstruck, System of a Down Chop Suey,  Black Sabbath Paranoid. When placing sports bets it usually happens quite fast and there is no particular music I put on. Often I place my bets while reading sports news online, there is no music at all playing.
1678  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 0.003 BTC for the best analysis of this NLHE 6-max poker hand. on: November 02, 2022, 08:21:31 AM
That is an interest hand you posted here, NL 6-max became my favourite game as you play more rounds than on an 9-max table and don't have to wait so long for action. A few observations before the round itself, it's probably a cash game round and not a tournament round which can make the analysis a bit different, like if we are close to the bubble and not have the option to stand up and leave. Our hero is chip leader at the table and all of the players have pretty big stacks with 5 people having more than 100 BB. The buyin range at the tables are usually 50-100 BBs, so all of the player must have sit down with around 100 BB I would assume.

Pre Flop: AT suited is a pretty nice hand in that position and we should prepare ourselves to play this hand almost 100% of the time as SB. There is no real option to let it go, except maybe an AllIn push in front of us. If the BTN hadn't raised this would be a clear raise against the BB. The BTN raise of 2.5BB is pretty standard in that position and usually an attempt to steal the blinds. The hero as chip leader should definitely defend it's blind here with almost any hand. We need to remember that it's a 6-max table, so the the starting hand ranges of the BTN are much larger. He is going to make this raise with almost any 10, Jack, Queen, King or Ace in his hand suited or not. Our AT suited is a strong hand and at this point I would believe we are ahead and have the stronger hand. That why I would already think about a small raise at this point to check the strength of the BTN. A call is fine, but at this spot we shouldn't always be calling only.

Flop: The flop is a decent one to keep playing, we don't like to see a heart but are holding two over cards that would let us win 37% withe Ace as high card. There is definitely value in the hand for us and the raise of 4 BB from the BTN seems a standard continuation bet. The BTN would make this bet with almost any hand again as he is trying to get you off your weak hands. The 4 BB call into a 10 BB pot seems a decent as we have a flush chance ourselves and an Ace high is also good for now.

Turn: Now the Ten comes and gives us the highest pair on the flop, but also ruins our flush chances. The BTN could already have the nuts with a straight which would be very rare. Also his possible flush chances are much lower now. We should be continuing our hand and expect to call a wide range of bets. What I don't like is the raise of the hero here. First of all the BTN raised two times into us, we should have raised before to check the strength of his hand and now we should react to him rather. Also it makes it too predictable that we just hit a ten and want to defend it, because a straight we would not bet. In case we hold the nuts at this point we would want the BTN to bet as much money into us. The bet size of 9 BB into 14 BB seems like an attempt to win the hand right here, but for that the bet size doesn't seem large enough, I would have checked here probably to see what the BTN does, or make a smaller bet to make sure flush draws don't get a free card. A bet of 6 BB would have been enough. His call gives us also a lot of information, as he is not trying to reraise and get us out of the hand. If we really wanted to win the hand right here on the Turn I would have choosen to reraise into a raise from the BTN. We are ahead here in most of the cases and have a 80% of winning.

River: Now the King we don't like so much, it makes things a bit more complicated again. It doesn't give us the top pair anymore if he holds a king, but would the BTN really call a 9 BB bet on the river with only holding King high? At least all flush chances are ruined and the chances for the BTN to hold a straight here are very small. We need to remember that it's a 6-max table and the BTN has a huge range of cards here. Our hero checks as he is probably afraid of the King. A check is fine, but we need to be prepared that a big raise will come from the BTN. The pot is already at 32 BB and BTN could try and steal the hand from us. A value bet would be fine as well here from our hero as he bet on the Turn before and has decent showdown value. Now the massive 46 BB from the BTN seems a bit strange, he is not going allin and saving around 50 BB in his stack behind. Our hero as chip leader is not put allin and the question now is do we only call or raise or fold. A fold is out of option in my opinion, there is no flush to represent and a value bet from a straight seems smaller. The BTN could have easily missed his hand completely and is only floating with nothing here. His two bets where all standard and don't give away anything. We are winning here in 75% of the cases and need to call 46 into a 78BB pot which gives us 59% pot odds. I would call here as there our hand is still good in many cases and the BTN bet size seems a bit off. It would also depend a bit on how long the hero has been playing on the table with the BTN. Maybe he has some notes on him, like does he play more losely or maybe he likes to bluff the river? In any case I would not be giving up my hand for a 1.4 pot bet. Calling seems like the best action here in my opinion.

1679  Economy / Economics / Re: EU solution to energy crisis: print more money and ensure economic crisis! on: November 01, 2022, 04:25:06 PM
European crisis management this year is as bad as its get in tackling the energy and economic crisis. A quick look at the Euro compared to the Dollar shows how far behind the Europeans are. The ECB waited to long to start raising interest rates and even now with 10% inflation they are very cautious. The problem is the big difference in European countries and the ECB is more afraid to ruin borrowing costs for southern European countries than to contain inflation. Printing more money is the easy fix that will only move problems into the future, instead of fixing them today. If I had any money to invest right now I would stay away from European markets and look abroad. Another big problem is that the European Union is so divided and doesn't work together properly.
1680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: November 01, 2022, 03:00:29 PM
I really felt bad watching that fight, Anderson Silva 15 years ago would have completely destroyed Jake Paul. The fight was very close, I really wish Anderson Silva would have won. At least he took the loss like a real man, saying that he goes home and trains some more. We can't change the past, but if Anderson would have ended his career in his prime, he would be the greatest middleweight UFC champion of all time. But then again he was paid for all the fights and it's still his job. Kind of sad that Jake Paul doesn't fight against people of his own age. If he feels so strong why not start offering rematches in Octagon? I am sure the fans would love to see MMA fight with Jake Paul. Would be a nice way to make my losses back and finally see Jake Paul lose a match.
