colloidal silver

I'm not familiar with every variety of snake oil so I had to look this up and I must say I was not disappointed:

Colloidal silver can cause serious side effects. The most common is argyria, a bluish-gray discoloration of the skin, which is usually permanent.

Awesome.
1742  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Ticket Scam on: January 29, 2022, 12:25:10 AM
You should complain to Ticketmaster since their platform was used to scam you. Your chances of tracking someone via blockchain are between slim and non-existent. Use PayPal next time.
1743  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump's slow moving coup? on: January 28, 2022, 09:52:42 PM
A serious problem for Trump's plan is that Biden is running again and he will be in power.

If Slow Joe runs again, it can only help Trump. May not even need a coup, given that CNN et al keep finding new ways to give him free advertising.

Democrats should get off their asses and nominate someone with a pulse but I doubt that will happen, so they'll probably go full QAnon and start accusing Trump of fraud if he wins.

by making concessions to Putin's demands, major one is removing itself from the West/NATO

I wouldn't call it a solution. Putin could then demand the same from e.g. Poland, or those tiny countries between Moscow and Kaliningrad.

I'm guessing they'll probably trim a bit of its length off anyway. It probably only needs to cover the driver's field of view and it looks to go right to the top of the roof which probably isn't necessary.

If it's shorter it won't sufficiently clean the right side of the windshield, which is still within driver's field of view and by regulation a certain percentage of that area needs to be wiped. There is a reason why most cars have a second wiper (sometimes a ridiculously short one) or have to resort to various articulation tricks like old E-class. There is also a reason why wipers typically rest on the bottom and not the side. But I guess Tesla will defeat geometry and physics.

I don't think Rodgers will bother facing those teams twice a year, NFC has a much comfier/easier path to the playoffs.

So... to the Giants then? That's an easy division to win.  Cool
1747  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 27, 2022, 04:15:28 PM
On the subject of doomsday TA, at least ImThour puts some effort into it unlike some llama-shaped trolls here.

But in reality Bitcoin will go either up or down, and the only certainty is that obviously there is a lot more room to go up than down. Unless you're playing with some stupid option spreads, which you really shouldn't.

News flash:  regurgitating some ridiculous talking point about the VAERS database didn't make it vanish.  Cry me a river.

It's not a talking point, it's literally a disclaimer that comes with the database.

You seem like the type of person who reads the warning on a plastic bag, puts it on their head because fuck warnings, and screams bloody murder.

During TSLA earnings call (not sure if transcript is available yet) Musk said that CT may launch "hopefully" next year and one of the main issues is pricing.

So much for a $40k tonka truck.

Broncos, Raiders, Giants, and Bears, (and Saints) come to mind, but I might be forgetting some.

Jaguars, Texans, Dolphins, Vikings...
1751  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: January 26, 2022, 10:57:36 PM
Maybe, that merit transaction is being missed in theymos' data too and that's the forum which is showing a wrong number.
LoyceV, can you confirm this? Due to the big size of the data, I couldn't load it.

I think those merits were later rolled back (because it was an April Fool's thread) and don't appear in forum's merit dumps.
1752  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: January 26, 2022, 08:33:20 PM
I noticed a tiny inconsistency: BPIP shows I've send 29185 Merit, the forum shows 29183. Suchmoon is off by 9, El duderino_ is off by 1, Ratimov's sent Merit count is correct.
Not a big deal of course Smiley

Interesting. If BPIP number was lower I'd say we missed some merits but not sure how we could have more. I'll check if there are any duplicates.
1753  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 06/11/2021 on: January 26, 2022, 04:57:43 PM
What the hell, @suchmoon? You must have seen this.. thank you so much for the 9 merits!

LOL, I did, but still it's well deserved.

Your road to Legendary will be very boring now, waiting 2 years for activity to catch up.
1754  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Covid-19 booster on: January 26, 2022, 03:31:12 PM
Alright, just got my booster (Moderna) yesterday in the afternoon. I just want to let you guys know I'm still alive (really, I am), and, so far:

Give it time. Chances are that you will die soon enough, sometime within the next 50 years.

So, what about it? Only survivors please. If you died, you don't need to reply. Thank you.  Smiley

I don't discriminate against dead people (lifeism?) in my thread.
1755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 26, 2022, 02:21:25 PM
Well I will start out and say I really don't think this will happen but a man can dream.  Sean Payton with 3 years left on his contract with the saints just announced he is stepping down from coaching the saints.  Giants just so happen to have a coaching job open.  Payton was qb coach and the OC years ago....please GIANTS make it happen.  Give the saints what they want to release him and offer Payton the keys.  I mean, if it takes money I got 5 on it.

Merited for the unbridled optimism but your wishful thinking will not transform the Giants into not sucking. Set your expectations at 0 wins at the beginning of the season and you'll be pleasantly surprised if they get a couple.
1756  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [β] BPIP Extension: user info & extra features add-on/extension, Firefox/Chrome on: January 26, 2022, 12:02:21 PM
Are there any plans that I don't know for updating the extension with new features or bug fixes?

No immediate plans right now. There aren't any significant bugs as far as I know, at least not specific to the extension. There is some stuff that is a bit bugged on the server side, like the inactive users not activating immediately once they start posting again.
1757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 🔺let's admit it, Bitcoin time is over, now DEFI Time 🔺 on: January 25, 2022, 09:14:16 PM
For every shitcoiner who made 100x there are thousands who lost their shirts. With hindsight it's very easy to say that some token or another had a better return over a short term but if you look at CMC top 10 or some other "top" list, it's different every year except Bitcoin is always #1. There were the original altcoins, then premined scams, then ICO scams, then random Ethereum token scams,  then more sophisticated DeFi totally-not-scam rug pulls, then NFT bullshit. Every time some excited kids proclaim the death of Bitcoin and every time they're wrong.

Next year there will be a new best thing trying to solve non-existent problems, unless you consider greedy morons having too much money a problem that needs solving, in which case it's fair game.
1758  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine on: January 25, 2022, 01:39:09 AM
I suspect that all Russia really wants is what they've always wanted... a warm water port. Anything else is just macho posturing. They want Ukraine because they want the Crimea. They want the Crimea because they want Sevastapol. But give it a few more years of global warming, and they should have plenty of warm water ports.

They've had Crimea for 8 years, and everyone (except Ukraine) seems to have shrugged it off, so why draw attention to it now? Unless you're saying this latest escalation is intended to force the West to compromise and recognize the occupation.
1759  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [β] BPIP Extension: user info & extra features add-on/extension, Firefox/Chrome on: January 25, 2022, 12:00:06 AM
@suchmoon I guess you already know that BPIP website has expired certificate, and that affects BPIP extension that is currently also not working and not showing any information.
I hope this gets resolved soon.

Sorry about that, some bizarre failure with certificate renewal. Should be ok now - let me know if you're still seeing any issues.
1760  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: January 24, 2022, 11:51:19 PM
I apologize about the screw up. The certificate is supposed to renew automatically. Not sure what happened there, looking into it now.

Edit: site should be ok now. Still not sure what caused the renewal to fail - I just ran the script manually and it worked.
