It is very unfortunate to see the final result of the match between Genoa and Juventus. It could be said that the match was quite even between the two. It cannot be denied that Genoa's performance today is quite impressive, especially being able to hold Juventus to a draw and also hold Juventus to a dominating draw. This week, we will see league leaders Leverkusen take on Frankfurt. Indeed, Bayer Leverkusen will also play at home and of course, playing at home will make Bayer Leverkusen seem certain to win. Dortmund missed too many opportunities, Augsburg as well. It was a match that proved why Dortmund has been so bad this season. They shouldn't miss this attack opportunities. Malen was okay but he could do better. The team needs Haller and he's still not ready. It's hard to win with Bynoe-Gittens and Füllkrug. Not that they are bad players but they can't use their full capacity, they only play with %60 at max. Manchester City of late have been dropping points so easy, and with three clubs already above them and in good form, I honestly think this title is slowly slipping away from them...and today's game was one awkward match as City was fully in control of the game and from nowhere Crystal Palace got a goal back and pressure turned against them.. only for Palace to steal a valuable point in the end thanks to a late penalty  .. After Rico Lewis scored Manchester City's second goal of the game, I thought the team were gonna cruise to victory in front of the club's homes fans at the Etihad but Manchester City's defence allowed Jean-PhilIppe Mateta to convert from Jeffery Schlupps assist in the 76th minute to give the visitors hope of a come back before Michael Olise scored a stoppage time penalty to deny the citizens an important win. If Pep Guardiola doesn't improve the performance of his team in their coming league games, they might be struggling to finish in the top four of the English Premier League table at the end of the season and o don't think that's the kind of campaign the club would want to have after winning the treble last season. |

I am not so much thrilled about the champions league since Newcastle was unable to make it through the group stage of the champions league. They were new and I wished them well but it is unfortunate that they entered into a difficult group. Assuming they got a group like that of Manchester United, they would still have been in the Champions League by now. The gap between Manchester City and Bayern Munich is even closer now than before. But I still have doubts about Bayern Munich as I didn't like their game very much during the group stage. They struggled quite much in some matches despite winning anyway. This can be a big problem for them when they face a title contender in later stages.
I can say that Manchester city does not possess the super power that bookmakers are seeing them to posses. They are less powerful than last season. I always adhere to the principle in life, even though I get Christmas and New Year bonuses, there are still other responsibilities that need to be taken care of rather than spending more of the bonus money at the casino. Spurs achieved their second win in the away match against Nottingham and they maintained their 2 goal lead until the match was over. Spurs are very motivated in this match so they can quickly return to the top 4 and compete with other teams. In this match, Spurs only played with 10 men after Bissouma received a red card in the 70th minute, but they immediately prevented it with full defense so they were certain to win. Currently Spurs have 33 points in the standings and that is the same points as Manchester City at the moment. It looks like the competition will heat up again and Manchester City must play tonight against Crystal Palace if they want to widen the gap from Spurs.
They managed to win the match and at the same time ensured that they got 3 points back in the match. A worthy victory for Tottenham, because Nottingham Forrest also lacked real opportunities in this match, they did create 15 attempts, but none of them were dangerous for Tottenham. After the consecutive negative results they achieved, they finally started to win again in the last 2 matches they played. But don't be satisfied with their results, because their work will still be very difficult in the future, because the season is still long. Tottenham Hotspur seems to be on their way to return to their good form which they started the season with. Assuming they didn't drop and remained consistent in that very form, they would have being at the top of the table by now. But it is always difficult for a club to remain consistent throughout the season especially when they do not have a good squad depth. Tottenham is not threatened even if Manchester United happens to win Liverpool because they are 6 points ahead of Manchester United. Robert Lewandowski has been one if the best players in Europe for more the past decade and considering all his achievement in football, I think he can boldly say that he's delivered great performance and impact in European football of the past twelve year. If truly he has received offers by the Saudi teams, I don't think player of his age and achievement will want to remain at Barcelona when he knows he can't be as impactful as he was when he was younger. Lewandowski undoubtedly will make a good signing for any Saudi team if he gets the chance because the league isn't as competitive as the leagues the Poland has played all his life in Europe. From my own personal perspective about Lewandowski's future, I think the Polish striker is definitely gonna leave the Camp Nou next summer and a move to the Saudi Pro League wouldn't be a bad idea since their financial packages are always juicy. |

Next game for Tottenham is against Everton who are fighting for premier league survival and fighting their way back to the top of the table where they were once close to this season. Bissouma will suffer a four match Ban and their coach will need to be able to go on without him because Tottenham have struggled in the games before this and their last. Tottenham are now fifth and still very close to the top of the table. Richarlison have scored goals in his last two games for Tottenham, maybe that is a signal that the striker is finally ready to deliver what is expected of him. Tottenham Hotspur's win tonight after their convincing win against Newcastle last weekend I think goes a long way to explain how good of a side they can be and their level of determination to return to the summit of the English Premier League standings. Before the their last weekend win against Newcastle, they had already gone five league games without a win in which they lost three and shared points in the rest two of the games including draw against Manchester City. During that period, a lot of their first team players were out injured as well as those that were suspended but since last weekend that Romero came back to the squad, they've been performing well especially in the defense side of the team. Their next league game will be against Everton who's been absolutely on fine form this season despite their point deduction for financial fair play violations and that game is definitely gonna be a very difficult game for Tottenham Hotspur but I believe they can still take all three points from the game of they can play at their best like they did tonight. |

I wasn't really expecting such result in the Monaco - Lyon game so I must admit that I'm very surprised. Especially in the first half Monaco were very effective. Their xG was around 1.00 but still couldn't score a goal. If they got ahead there maybe Lyon were going to lose their concentration which would lead to a bigger loss as well.
However we saw a much worse Monaco in the second half. They were further from scoring a goal despite having the double amount of their goal attempts in the first half. They had only 1 out of 13 shots on target in the second half I mean. Lyon somehow managed to score the winning goal in the last minutes and kept it to the end. This is another very valuable win for Lyon to make a move for getting out of the relegation zone.
Lyon is one of the traditional clubs in France and over the years has been one of the top clubs in the league but since the start of the season, they've been absolutely poor with their performance while Monaco where 20 points better than Lyon before their game on Friday night have been on of the best teams on the league this season. But surprisingly, Lyon who were the away side in the game, defeated Monaco tonight. What even made the result of the game more shocking is the fact that Monaco failed to score in the game as well despite playing in front of their home fans. I don't think there's any game in the French Ligue 1 this weekend that's gonna produce a more surprising result than we saw tonight. Lyon who's been struggling since the start of the league and were at the bottom of the league table before the game tonight have moved up to the 16th position of the league after that surprise win and I think the result is gonna go a long way in improving the general performance of the team as they continue to fight for safety in the French Ligue 1 standings. |

Now speaking of Barcelona it looks like they will still try to find some free players but on the other hand there are some rumors that say that there are linking Osimhen with Barcelona even though I don't think this is true because this will not be possible.
Yep, this is unlikely to happen because it wouldn't make sense if something like this were real. I mean of course with their current financial situation and the option of bringing in free agents and loan players is one option that Barcelona can't afford to lose at the moment so bringing in Osimhen with a clause of over 100 million is not going to be possible. But if you think of a way like what happened to Raphinha from Leeds, it might still be possible, it's just that it will add to their problems because after all, what needs to be considered besides the clause is salary and I feel Barcelona will not be able to afford the salary of Osimhen. Barcelona is currently not financially stable enough to outrightly sign a player of Victor Osimhen's quality and that's because of the current financial crises at the club. However, if they should for any reason have the financial power to sign Victor Osimhen, I don't think the Nigeria international will like to join a club like Barcelona because I don't think he'll fit in with Barcelona's style of football. Xavi Hernandez plays a possessive style of football that allows the midfield players to be the main focal points of the team while Osimhen enjoys attacking football that provides strikers more chances to score goals. Liverpool definitely does look like they are going to end up being the winners, but I have always said that Liverpool may not care as much as we think they may. People think that they are the best team and it's true that if they do focus on this then they could definitely win it, but will they focus on it? Are we sure on that? I do not think that they will focus as much as we think they may, I think there is a possibility that we may not see them win all that much, we could see them not do that well at all.
We should be considering some situation where they just ignore this cup and focus on premier league, I have said this before and going to say it again, winning the premier league is 10x better than europa, so they may go out with bench players to rest starters for league games.
I've closely followed the development at Liverpool since the start of the season and I don't think that there's anyone who has done same that will want to write them off as potential winners of the UEFA Europa League competition. The fact that they lost to Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise doesn't in anyway make them less of a favorite to win the trophy. Before the game yesterday, Liverpool had already secured top spot as the group winners of their group and you don't expect the manager of the side to field a strong side when they already have a very busy schedule. Tottenham had to work hard to get a good result today after dropping a lot of points, and of course hopes are high to win the match against Nottingham. Nobody would bet on Nottingham, if it did then I think the probability of winning would be so low that in effect there would be a big risk of losing. There's no team in the English Premier League that's not a strong opponent regardless of who they're facing and that's why I don't think it'll be a good idea for Tottenham Hotspur to underrate their hosts tonight. Tottenham before last weekend's win against Newcastle had gone five league matches without a win and during the 5 match winless run, they've lost against teams like Chelsea, Wolves, Aston Villa and West Ham and that's why I think they're very beatable. Tottenham Hotspur's manager Ange Postecoglou I know is manager that is always cautious of his moves and would never want to underestimate any opponent. That being said, Tottenham Hotspur who were at the top of the league before they lost to Chelsea are currently trying to return back to the summit of the league standings and their convincing win against Newcastle last weekend is a proof that they're very determined to achieve their goal to topping the league table once again and if they can replicate that same performance against Newcastle tonight against Nottingham Forest, I think they're going to grab all three points from the game. |

Even if Bayern Leverkusen doesn't win the bundesliga this season, I commend their team spirit this season like they've been spectacular since the beginning of the season till now so it's not really easy even for most of the bigger teams to achieve what Leverkusen have achieved despite the fact that they've been playing two competitive leagues which is the Europa league and the German bundesliga so for them to record this long winning streak wasn't really easy for any club so they deserve some respect.

In bundesliga, the only club that stands to be the main threat for Bayer Leverkusen is Bayern Munich and Munich are also struggling this season. Leverkusen have been in great form this season. The team has occupied the top spot in the table so far. And they didn't lose a single match. I want to blame him at times but I can't do that! I wonder why he gave chance of management too David Moyes who sent the club back to the trenches and slums with his poor tactics and management? But, what can I do? What ever has been done has been done. It's time to look forward aminot backwards.
For the job, Erik Ten Hag should be backed even if he lose against Liverpool on Sunday at Anfield. He is a great manager. Looking at the past managers who've been sacked, Erik Ten Hag has done a better job than them all. Someone correct me if I'm lying. So why sack him when you can get him the players he wants?!
One of the wrong things Alex Faguson will do is not to support any coach that is handling Manchester United. Even if he doesn't support that particular coach with his mind, he will not go public about it. Going public to say his dissatisfaction about any coach will drop the confidence of that coach because Sir Alex is an icon of Manchester United.
