<tinfoilhat> The FBI is pumping it so they can sell the SR coins </tinfoilhat>

Won't they have to wait for DPRs trial to be over first. Apparently DPR is trying to sue for them back haha.

How did we get on to discussing TV?

I'm really looking forward to watching Dexter as I loved the first two seasons, but heard it drops off in quality. Badtimes.

Seems to be a few suspicious accounts making the same "hello ~" all with female names:

17606  Other / Meta / Re: Can illegal topics be discussed here? on: January 06, 2014, 11:56:14 AM
Keep it "hypothetical" Smiley

If you're not admitting to doing it and only throwing ideas around... hopefully theymos would be OK with that.

But it would be better if he responded.

Keep in mind that openly sharing your knowledge regarding these matters can render it useless if too many people start using it (especially if you decide to be very specific).

I'd suggest this, but it's not a very good idea discussing laundering practices in public any way.
17607  Other / Meta / Re: Integrated Tip function for BTCtalk. on: January 06, 2014, 11:48:23 AM
Just seems like something else that could go wrong.
I don't find it hard to copy-paste an address from someone's profile or signature.
Yeah, how would this integration work exactly? Easier just to do the above.

The problem is that we'd need to pay BTC into an account to pay tips out of, similar to how the Reddit bitcointip bot handles finances, and I don't think Theymos wants anything to do with being responsible for user funds; understandably so.

Beyond that, the integration is the relatively easy part.

Yeah, seems a bit of risk and a faf when you can just easily send people the cash without worrying about third parties.
17608  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Market on: January 06, 2014, 11:46:52 AM
this is a scam. good thing i only lost .5 btc on it

It didn't look very legit. What happened? Just robbed funds or was it more elaborate?
17609  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MtGox and SEPA transfers lately? on: January 06, 2014, 11:44:51 AM
what are your experiences with it lately? I'm considering whether to do it via gox, or transfer to bitstamp and do bank transfer from bitstamp, that would cost me 10% because I'd have to buy BTC at mtgox at higher price, transfer BTC to bitstamp, and sell there at lower price.

 Huh

Don't use Gox. What country are you in?
17610  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It seems that BTC will go back to 1000 again...? on: January 06, 2014, 11:44:10 AM
I was busy with my term paper recently, and I just saw BTC went back to around 900.

What happen now?
Is it just a sudden peak? Or it really goes up stably these days....?

It's nearly a $1000 now. As above it's probably just based on some good news. People are fickle.
17611  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Chinese buying vs. Americans on: January 06, 2014, 11:43:04 AM
I asked a friend what she thought about Bitcoin, she said oh I heard its risky and people steal your money?
Shocked

Haha. Isn't it risky owning lots of fiat as it's risky and people try to steal it?

17615  Other / Off-topic / Re: Conspiracy theories, and proof of debunk on: January 06, 2014, 11:26:48 AM
Crop circles.  Its known they are made by people, i know a chap from Southampton University that used to make them, he even used to guide people round as a crop circle expert in the earlier days, seeding loads of the myths around them.  He tried telling people later on that it was students having a laugh, but people would rather believe aliens land their space craft or leave messages in crops, rather than say park on a heath or use radio.

Funny that even after showing people videos of people creating them they still choose to believe in UFOs.

Stop trying to sell primedice.

Primedice is like every other casino in this world and web.
Casino always wins.

This counts for every gamble.

Just learn to quit whilst you're ahead or learn to cut your loses. Nobody is forcing people to take the gamble.

17619  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you spend your days doing if you didn't have to work ever again? on: January 06, 2014, 11:12:41 AM
Work.  Nobody can relax forever; to say you would is akin to saying you'd drink the ocean because you're thirsty Tongue

there are lots of peole who just relax, all day. i don't think i could handle it myself. but at the same time, you don't want to work too hard if you don't need to.

Yeah, I don't think this guy knows what he's talking about. You should emigrate to the UK and relax all day everyday on benefits. Bring all your friends and family too!

if they don't want to get bitcoins, that is their right. why do you care? if bitcoin lifts off the planet, then you can just shove it in their faces.

That's the attitude I'm pretty much taking, but I can understand OP's frustration, it is a bit depressing, but I'll have the last laugh when I'm sitting on a stockpile of gold bullion at the end of it all.

My bro thought I was silly for buying Bitcoin at £70. Not so much now as he wants in.

you gotta get some BTC tinted glasses, a silk road, two prostitutes for each arm.. and bring them into your room, telling him he missed out on a lucrative opportunity.

Or I'll do none of this and remain smug whilst I continue hodling.
