1781  Economy / Reputation / Re: So you have DTs who do not want you to talk openly? on: May 28, 2019, 07:46:57 PM
With the given situation you are in the red tag Lauda gave to you is justifiable, your account is obviously created to complain about the DT system and it's probably you are one of the members who got tagged by a DT member one way or another. Based from what I have seen DT members are more lenient and understanding to high ranking members or at least the trustworthy ones since they have the balls to complain about it in their own account unlike you who just created an alt account to cover your identity. Keep in mind you are tagged because you are using an alt account that is trolling in the forum and not because you are standing up against them. You aren't even really standing up because you are just hiding in your alt account.
1782  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Roger Vs. Craig: The Fight of the Century? on: May 28, 2019, 06:58:49 PM
I wouldn't consider throwing libel or any defamation cases as a fight of the century, this is something what pussies with money do all they want is more attention whether it is good or bad press all they want is the attention is on their side especially the ones involve in the industry as it creates more headlines below their names. At the end both parties still gets what they want more influence and followers in the market as speaking truthfully most of us in the industry doesn't even know what is happening, most of us just see headlines with their names on it.
1783  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How important is the right .com Crypto domain name to you for your project? on: May 28, 2019, 06:07:31 PM
Go for the mainstream site suffixes available as it's just a little bump in terms of pricing. The way I see it there is a certain stigma when seeing a project having their main website ending on a ".io", ".xyz" or some sketchy suffix which we only know are given for free, so as a viewer I see it as the devs are cutting their cost on us which I think is one of the red flags that a website is a potential scam if not are not really serious on the project. For the domain name itself keep it as close as what you company name is as it will be much easier to associate your website to you and to avoid confusion to a lot of people.
1784  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-27]Franck Muller Releases Luxury Watch With Bitcoin Cold Wallet Functio on: May 27, 2019, 08:05:42 PM
The best cold wallets can't be recognized in plain view. Things like encrypted wallet.dat on general purpose storage (like thumb drives). Seed words can also be hidden in plain sight, mixed in with ordinary media like books and magazines.

Aside from my discomfort with the potential attack surface, this is the other reason that hardware wallets bother me. They announce, "I own crypto! Rob me!"

This watch does the same thing -- to an even further degree, since it's a luxury watch that costs tens of thousands of dollars.
Glad to see that other members look at it that way. What it seems to me is that with all the crypto buzz happening recently a lot of companies not even part of the same industry are trying to find a way to be relevant in our industry just to boost their marketing and therefore increasing their sales with us as their new target market. By the looks of it luxury watches like this are just hoping to attract attention from crypto-millionaires hoping that this will be there brand new status symbol that they'll be recognize from.
1785  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-27]Franck Muller Releases Luxury Watch With Bitcoin Cold Wallet Functio on: May 27, 2019, 07:19:25 PM
Am I the only one considering this as a pointless invention? Having a luxury watch with a wallet functionality defeats the purpose of having a safe and secure way to store your Bitcoin. Hardware wallets in the first place are not meant to be shown off it's meant to be stores away and be use when needed be. Now a watch like this just got more valuable as it potentially stores valuable crypto inside, future Franck Muller watches (and even the old ones) will now be targeted by criminals just for the thought of it carrying crypto.
1786  Other / Meta / Re: [UNBAND APPEAL] sigwald on: May 27, 2019, 06:27:13 PM
You got "band" for plagiarism and obviously there is really nothing to look more further in your case. You aren't really part of what theymos meant by "case-by-case" for people who want to be unbanned in the forum. Just by looking at your post history it only shows that you are just here not to contribute anything in the forum but to earn in bounties you are participating. You can't even create your appeal right, theymos said when you are creating an appeal he doesn't want you to show that the permaban you got is wrong but what good you have contributed in the forum.

If you think that a ban should be ended, make your case in a new topic from a "good for the forum as a whole" perspective.
1787  Economy / Economics / Re: Problems In Chinas Economy & Escalating Trade War Will Cause Large Bitcoin Rally on: May 27, 2019, 02:46:25 PM
The US wants another booming Asian country to get down on their knees. What they are doing to China is what the US did to Japan in the 80s with the trade war they launch. Just like what they did before they are trying to block China's products by giving an unreasonable rate increase of their tariffs which will make their products much more expensive than their local goods.

But to be honest China is on a different level and I don't think that US can sway the game with jusf rate increases as remember even their companies depend on the labor force of China, most of the US brands I see including Apple and Google phone are made in China if they threaten to push up the trade war against them. US companies will be caught in the crossfire and I don't think Trump can take the risk of all of their products not being produce in China anymore because Xi Jinping really has the power to ckose all their factories down.
1788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 26, 2019, 08:54:46 PM
Good news Milan won it's final game to finish off the season, bad news is that Atalanta and Inter Milan won their last games as well so Milan didn't really move up instead they have to settle for the fifth place and compete in the Europa League next season. Not the outcome I expected but this is what I need to accept they are even lucky to snatch win with Kessie's penalty. I really didn't expect that all three teams would be winning their last game.
1789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: May 26, 2019, 08:07:46 PM
Saw some videos of Keith Thurman both in the press-conference and some personal interviews and man Keith Thurman is a different type of a cocky fighter. He said that he will do to Pacquiao what Pacman did to Oscar Dela Hoya and some bs "I just don't beat him, I'll knock him out" and what's surprising about that is he still continue to praise Pacquiao and how he is a legend in the sport. He is cocky and humble all at the same time which I think he is only doing so he couldn't have a big backlash in the web. He might not be as arrogant as Adrien Broner but I hope Pacquiao teaches him a lesson about respect.
1790  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Recommend BTC/Altcoin trading website, with Break Even calculation on: May 26, 2019, 07:06:20 PM
If you want an easier way to do these and you don't want to calculate on your own you can try out Blockfolio a portfolio management app that can mimic your Kraken's portfolio. Recently Blockfolio just included the option to add trading fees/rates to be part on your trade you put up so that you can have a much more accurate reading on the price you are targeting. After that you can set up individually on the preferred gains you are trying target on each coin.
1791  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Minimum fee for confirmation on: May 26, 2019, 05:55:46 PM
If you are still new to Electrum I wouldn't recommend you going all out on setting your own network fees manually on your own, this will lead to prolonged periods of waiting time when you set the fees to lower than what is recommended. I would recommend you turning on the dynamic fees at least Electrum would give you the suggested amount for a fast transfer, even if you set the slider for the dynamic fees at its lowest you can still expect the transaction to be confirmed within the next 25 blocks.

Additional Notes:

Point # 1 : Fake CEO

Fake Name: Demetrius Vallas, a Greek national who allegedly have a project operating in the Philippines with partnership to taxi companies like Grab (Uber-like company in the Philippines)

Real Identity: Dmitry De Mitro, a Russian actor/singer working for a video production company.

Link to their service ad here

Technically this dude is literally no one, until his name was credited on a short film found in Youtube that he was in with a production company. There is also a video of him being interviewed on Russian television.

Point # 2: Ghost company/project not really operating under the Philippines

The company, Transport Advertising Network (TACHAIN), only has 4 employees based on their Linked in profile and none of them are currently situated in the Philippines.

Aside from that their only known contact with a transportation company, Grab Philippines, is only through a tweet showing interest of a partnership. Other than that there are no official news followed up or any physical changes within Grab's services showing that they are partnered up with Tachain or any kind of advertising network.

1793  Economy / Reputation / Re: Time's up for DT members who left negative feedback for Thule on: May 23, 2019, 08:15:01 PM
On a side note if Thule is really planning to file a libel case againt the DT members he would clearly lose, one critical aspect in libel cases is to show proof that the defamer (DT members who have tagged Thule) is telling a lie to damage his reputation here in the forum
Wasn't Thule's reasoning that the forum shows him as scammer to visitors who aren't logged in?
I don't really see why that would matter anyway, a random nickname on a random forum could literally by anybody.

Well he's been running around with a broken argument something that he is actually doing to himself, readers who aren't even logged-in can't even see his trust summary and with how he introduced his profile page with an avatar and signature talking about his red trust makes himself the one who is giving some ideas to these random viewers. I don't have a good example for this but it's like a corrupt politician/guilty person seeking attention to tell that he ain't guilty on something.

1794  Other / Meta / Re: [Merging of threads and Name Change If possible] on: May 23, 2019, 07:05:30 PM
5. Reasonably similar* items must be listed together

*at moderator discretion

This is probably the reason why your new threads are getting deleted since you are selling a pretty similar service in terms of boosting views, followers, and likes which revolves around social media and streaming platforms. Best thing for you to do is to keep all your services for different websites into one thread and maybe explain each service on the same thread, since you already merge your services into one website then I think its only proper to just keep your services into one thread since you are just promoting one kind of website now.
1795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 23, 2019, 06:20:33 PM
~snip~
I think we can exclude Inter from this ecuation because I don't see them losing next match in any case, since the stake is so big. So it all comes down to Atalanta performance in the last match and honestly I don't see them missing such a big opportunity. They would finish on 3rd spot and that's absolutely impressive considering the fact that they don't have any big superstar in their team. Their club is worth less than €200 mil compared with Milan and Inter both of them worth over €500 mil yet still they have the opportunity to be in front of them.
Yeah probably, they'll be playing against Empoli which is a point shy away from relegation but nevertheless Inter is really on a bad form lately with their last 5 matches they only won one game and all of them are draws with one embarrassing defeat against Napoli. That's why I am saying that the best scenario for me as a Milan fan is to see either of them lose or have a draw in their last match and maybel Empoli could make that happen especially if their Serie A ticket is on the line.
1796  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: RUON - R (are), U (you) ON(on)? on: May 23, 2019, 03:33:48 PM
So basically what you are developing right now is just a monetize version of Facebook or Instagram in which aside from the devs earning monely its users will also  get to taste some cash just by posting content? To tell you honestly I like the idea and I don't think it has ever been done before successfully and mostly right now what they are copying is Steemit so that's a good sign. Idea wise you have a good project but I have doubts on how will this RUON project of yours will even exist in the long run as really your number one concern is attracting enough users to use your platform actively.
1797  Local / Pamilihan / Re: List of Universities Offering NEM Blockchain Courses in the Philippines on: May 23, 2019, 02:40:44 PM
Just by looking at the schools I immediately identified all of them as being private schools meaning this elective course will come in a price, meaning kailangan mo magbayad para sa isang course na hindi naman related sa iyong kurso. Syempre ang habol lang naman dito is yung bayad at hindiyung maituturo sa estudyante kaya di mo naman nakita ang UP manlang sa isa sa mga ino-offeran nila ng elective course na ito. Another thing that I was hoping for is sana ginawa nalang nilang blockchain in general di na sana nila linimit sa NEM lang.
1798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Copyright Registrations Do Not Recognize Craig Wright as Satoshi Nakamoto on: May 23, 2019, 01:59:26 PM
So the copyright office is the final door standing between Craig Wright and his true motives in the industry? Isn't really that obvious that for a long time now we don't know the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto and then 10 uears after suddenly wants to obtain a copyright protection just because he is recognized to be that man? Why did a man who is hiding his identity for more than a decade now will be interested in claiming a copyright protection for his whitepaper?
1799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 22, 2019, 06:40:53 PM
This is it 1 more game and we will see who will finish in the top 4 of the league. Hoping that A.C. milan can crack up to the top 4 so that I can see them play in the CL next season. If they win this match the best scenario for them is either Inter ot Atalanta lose or have a draw in their next match which Milan would eventually replace one of the two. And seeing how their upcoming matches looks like, Atalanta is the one in danger at losing its place since they'll be facing Sassuolo in their last match.
1800  Economy / Reputation / Re: Time's up for DT members who left negative feedback for Thule on: May 22, 2019, 05:59:05 PM
On a side note if Thule is really planning to file a libel case againt the DT members he would clearly lose, one critical aspect in libel cases is to show proof that the defamer (DT members who have tagged Thule) is telling a lie to damage his reputation here in the forum but clearly the tags are on point especially when Lesbian Cow tagged him because he is offering up money to buy information about TMAN. Other than that with 13 persons involve this would be a legal mess specially if your only motive it to remove red trust from your account. Good thing that the DT members stand their ground and didn't budge with the lawsuit case.  Tongue
