1841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 14, 2022, 05:58:50 PM
Paul Butler probably knows that already that's why he is just taking an advantage while he can earn because there's really no way that Butler can give Inoue a hard time especially with the monster's current abilities. Butler may have a delicious odds on this fight but I doubt it will tempt the bettors because his chances are almost near to impossible, Inoue via knockout is much better rather than betting with a decision with low odds.
I guess even the Inoue to win by KO odds are still very low unless we will make it harder like guessing what round Butler will go down. As of now, it's still hard to decide since we have not seen the betting odds yet, so we can be a little patient while continuing to be optimistic that nothing can stop this fight from being postponed or canceled.

Exactly. This is Inoue's domain and its his time. If Inoue can beat the top champs who are better than Butler, its hard to see Inoue not going to win nor draw. Better odds in picking which round he'll win. Most of his fights ended with a TKO, that's a tipoff.  Round 3 is probably my best guess where ref will stop the fight.
Yes, if we are going to go with the odds in this fight, it's better to look for KO and in which round. Below 7.5 is a good estimate by the odds is not going to be high as well.

So picking which rounds Inoue will win by knockout, just like what he did to Donaire, just 2 rounds. Maybe Butler might survived a bit longer at 3 or 4 rounds
1842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metaverse is the future on: October 13, 2022, 12:02:37 PM
I do agree that it is a buzz word now, I myself was really surprised that everyone is on the bandwagon, even countries have adapted it.

And so I believed that it could be the next biggest  hype to come, it's that we are in a bear market that's why the growth is very slow. But just imagine if it come into a bullish sentiments for sure there will be a lot of projects popping up and many investors FOMO and doesn't want to miss the boat.

But the question is, what can metaverse really offer to us or to non crypto enthusiast?
1843  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency is silent why? on: October 13, 2022, 11:32:44 AM
Is cryptocurrency silent? Not here mate. There's a lot of noise going on locally and globally. Prices are at dip but they are temporary. Old banks and new financial institutions are getting licenses and partnerships in my country and I love it. I do hope they won't pressure and bribe our local government to block the entry of Binance. Binance is pretty sure would take a huge percentage of our local market. Binance a few days ago just opened its New Zealand operations. There's just a lot of news and developments of crypto mate from web 3, to the metaverse and many more.
Maybe OP does not explore the crypto world that much thats why he does not receive or aware of what is going on here , there are so many happenings in crypto world and even there are lots of FUD and dumping happening so how could he say that it is silent ?
and besides this forum is more than enough to show how the market and the crypto world is moving here and there.
if he is a true investor? then I believe he will never make such comment meaning he is not aware of what is truly happening in the market.

As far as I understand what he is saying, the silence here means that the market is not bullish, not that it does not have any activity. OP is just trying to look at price movements and doesn't care about market activities and this is why many people will get bored and leave the market when bear season comes. It can be said that everything is still operating normally, the projects are still continuing to build and develop non-stop, it can only be that the price is not noisy.
Yes, and this is likely cyclical, we are in a bear market so obviously others may have close or not very active in their trading account. Or simply just buying and accumulating like 2018.

And it's like this for the last 4 months if I'm not mistaken and can go up to the end of the year so it's quite boring. But nevertheless, for those who have been in the market already, perfect time to accumulate and save bitcoin in our wallet and hold. And when the market is back alive again, at least we are ahead, with some just waiting to be sell during all time high to make huge profit.
1844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 13, 2022, 11:22:31 AM
Even 168 seems to be few for Dmitry. He is a big guy by nature. I just cant imagine him being 168. Dmitry seems to be +85kg in off season and 79.4 (or 175lbs) on the scales. Dropping almost 10kg just to have a rematch? It is Canelo, who needs to gain weight and fight in 175, to rebuild reputation. Canelo needs to beat Dmitry "on Dmitry's field", to gain confidence and respect back. What is the point for Dmitry to cut, when it was Canelo who wanted to test himself in light heavyweight.
Yes, I think if there will be a rematch between Dmitry and Saul Alvarez it will be 175 lbs. Alvarez can definitely made 175 lbs easy, but Bivol will have problems making that weight.

And if I'm not mistaken, the first fight is 175 lbs so not sure why they need to change in the rematch unless Alvarez wants to take advantage of making Bivol life very difficult because he will have to squeeze his body to super middleweight.
1845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 13, 2022, 10:53:26 AM
Why no one discussing (or havent made a topic) about Deontay Wilder vs Robert Helenius fight ? Only 3 days left. Is it because Tyson Fury has destroyed Wilder reputation after beating him twice, and people have completely forgot about this knockout artist ? There were so many knockout compilations on YouTube, and now, in two years, he is forgotten. Helenius is not a biggest boxing superstar, but 31-3 record should be taken into consideration. He is not a trashy punching bag?

Presumably everyone knows the outcome of this fight: Wilder's victory by knockout - is only a matter of which round. This is a practice fight and will only get attention if Wilder doesn't win it for some reason. In the same way, no one will pay much attention to any Fury fights ahead of those fights that everyone is waiting for - against Usyk or at least AJ.

They are heavyweights, one punch, one swing and you are done. Many did not expect that Tyson Fury would stand up after Wilder connected in 12th round in their first fight. As you have mentioned AJ and Usyk, many expected AJ to win, but he has lost, twice. Even Jake Paul is getting more attention than Wilder Cheesy I find it strange. We have seen how great fighters fall down, but people still watch and discuss their fights. We have somehow missed out Wilder completely.
Hw Boxing is getting crazy in the last years or so, Joshua lost, we forget about Wilder's power and then we have Usyk.

But I think Wilder will like to redeem himself in the Helenius and he will look for a knockout victory and then start to call everyone again and get the attention. We have to see though if the meltdown is over after his 2 losses to Fury and he is now OK and be big in the discussion again in the HW division.
1846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 13, 2022, 10:34:15 AM
MJ was one of the greatest, probably the greatest ever basketball player ever lived, but he is definitely not a good owner at all by the looks of how the team has done since he took over.

It's worth noting that the Hornets have always been the underdog, even when Jordan wasn't the owner and the team was called the Bobcats. They've never won a championship, a conference, and a division. Besides, they've only reached the playoffs 3 times in the last 18 years. So even if Jordan really wants to improve the Hornets' results, he will need to invest a lot more money and time.

Exactly!
There is a huge difference between being a great player and to become a great owner.
There's nothing much an owner can do if there's not enough funds to attract good players in comparison with the well established teams, and good players does not play for a team who's struggling to get to the playoffs and receiving lesser contract.
The Charlotte Hornets needs to have a pick like they did in 96. However, I think they are really terrible in building a good team lol.
Obviously, that is the case for the Hornets in the last couple of years, maybe it was a combination of bad luck, not getting good players in the draft or traded some of their players. But I think teams really need some time to become a champion like what happen to the Dubs, they have a lot of good and solid players in the past, but it was not a recipe to win championship. But when everything smiles on them, specially lady luck, they got Steph, Draymond and then Klay and then become multiple champions.
1847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Distortion Pattern on: October 12, 2022, 08:32:26 AM
4. Gambling Distortion Pattern IV
I think the fourth pattern of play is the most dangerous, because when you have a few moments of big wins in the midst of several unsuccessful bets, the player feels motivated to place more bets believing that in the end he is managing to make up for the losses, or at least you feel more confident to continue playing because you know that at some point or another you will win again, but winnings usually cannot cover all losses.
It's also the most fun and thrilling experience because you never knew that you could win your very last bet. It happens to me before a couple of times for both autobet/normal play and martingale. It's true that you are going to be motivated to try again because your balance are once again replenished.
Right, and that will be the trap for us gamblers, just imagine the feeling that you are out with your last bet and then win it big? Your capital is replenish and so you go back to play and hope that you will continue to have successes.

Sometimes I can bust all what I got or if I am lucky to have a control that time, I will go home with some winnings. Now the practice that I am doing is that ill just withdraw most of money first and then left only some so that I can play on them recklessly. I don't reposit because I have enough already but ill go back again the next day or two.
Good practice, but our enemy is our emotion, maybe yes you withdraw your winnings and left some funds. But what if if you lose again, will you go deposit and stop completely?
1848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 12, 2022, 08:11:07 AM

You don't need to ask that for him because we know Loma, he is a great boxer and he is always an entertaining boxer to watch. In fact, I'm more interested on his next fight as this fight is just probably his warm up before a big fight which could happen this year.

Loma has been an entertaining boxer all these years and for him to fight Ortiz in his comeback is the best decision for his team because he really needs warm up if he wants to get ready for a big fish next fight. Let's just hope he will gonna finish this quick in the early rounds without getting injured or something like that, in order for him to get a quick fight in the first quarter of next year. Who might be his next potential opponent when he is done with this one?
Right, and this is considered to be his "second" comeback fight, remember that he got injured and then makes a huge statement comeback win against Nakatani and then Comney. And the war started and he served his country. And now amidst the war in the background, he decided to come back like his fellow Ukrainian Usyk and fight in the ring once more. I'm seeing either Haney or Kambosos in his next fight assuming he win here.
1849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 12, 2022, 04:07:26 AM
Scary moment for the Charlotte Hornets today as LaMelo Ball screamed out in pain driving to the lane. It looked like a bad ankle injury, which it was, but doctors just confirmed it’s a sprain so he’ll be back before too long. He is expected to miss the first few games of the year but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s ready to go for the start of the season.
Indeed, we don't want to see another star going down in pre-season games because for sure it will be a big blow for the Hornets this season. Hopefully he just need to rest that sprain ankle and with few massages and shot of anti-inflammatory, he will be good.

Wiseman really looks good vs against the Blazers, good block on Jeremi Grant.
1850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years ago this man was accused to be Satoshi on: October 12, 2022, 03:40:57 AM
I'm not also not familiar with the name, maybe in crypto or any other secure communications protocol or cryptography.

But in any case, yes, this man knows whats coming if he pretend to be Satoshi, just like what infamous CW is trying to portray when everyone around here knows that he is not Satoshi. So kudos to this guy for coming out in public and clearing his name and it is the right decision indeed. And for sure, Satoshi will no longer reappear but his invention will remain with us.
1851  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for October on: October 11, 2022, 09:38:42 PM
I voted for sideways, and it seems that they whole year, we are going in a accumulation phase around $20k and so we can start at that price this month and maybe has some gains but then again falter in the last week of October. And this has been the trend and so I wouldn't be surprised a sideway pattern till the end of this year. Most likely around $19k-$22k I reckon. So it's not that bad, investors can still invest because it is still cheap and at a huge discount from our last all time high.
1852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Mysteries Of Bitcoin on: October 11, 2022, 09:22:50 PM
Well for once, we should lay to rest Satoshi's identity. As someone says, he could be dead already and so his coins are not going to move anytime. And if someone comes forward again and claim to be Satoshi, then our common sense that is he fake.

But we can read about Satoshi here in this community as he has posted a lot in the beginning before he disappear.

1853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 11, 2022, 09:05:17 PM
Might be better if we are going to look for the KO odds, but not sure what will it be. And then the per rounds and asian cup (which offer better odds if I'm not mistaken).

I still remember that we have discussed about the contract, it is sign already and that we can safe to say that December is really the target date?
1854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone Use Or Using this Strategy In Casino on: October 11, 2022, 08:45:59 PM
There are players who have had great success using the MartinGale strategy. The problem, especially with land-based casinos, is that you quickly run into certain limits. And you also have to be very quick to bet. That is a bit easier and faster at an online casino. You can try any strategy you want in the casino, eventually it will stop working and you will lose your balance completely. You have to be prepared for that.
If you are going to try a strategy in a casino, it is advisable to start with low limits so that you don't have problems with very high stakes to win a low amount like MartinGale.
I don't see any difference though if we talk about the strategy, obviously we can talk about the time, but the OP didn't specially ask for that, he is questioning whether we go all or bust so Martingale is out of the question here.

Definitely I did it in the past, I know that others wanted to have fun and enjoy when they gamble. But there are times that you really just wanted to bet everything in one game. However, the question is whether you want to continue after you win is very different.
1855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 11, 2022, 08:24:52 PM
If Jordan Poole's family gets involved, then it's going to be a different story on Draymond and the whole NBA itself. It's going to be a precedence if I'm not mistaken.

We have heard about Michael Jordan and Steve Kerr incident wherein it was reported that Michael punch Steve.

Quote
“It made me look at myself and say, ‘You know what? You’re really being an idiot about this whole process,'” Jordan recalled, via Chicago sports historian Jack M Silverstein. “I knew I had to be more respectful of my teammates.”

Jordan called Kerr after punching him to apologize. The two talked it out, and their trust went to another level. MJ knew he crossed the line, and it presumably meant a lot to Kerr for the most significant player in the game to call him to say he’s sorry.

1856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anderson Silva vs Jake paul who you bet on? on: October 08, 2022, 03:29:40 AM
I probably won't bet this fight because I have no idea who will win.  Anderson Silva is clearly the better and more established fighter, but he's old...  Jake has age and likely supplements on his side, so for me this is a risky fight for Anderson Silva while also being one hell of a payday.  I can see why he didn't want to turn this fight down.  Win or lose I suspect it'll be the last time he enters the ring.  Personally, I'd like to see Jake get knocked out and I'd hate to see Anderson Silva get knocked out, so I probably have too much emotion on the line to add money to it.  I'll watch the fight though and hope for the best.  Old man power better be on display.
I've seen multiple people claiming that Jake Paul is using steroids now. Is there any merit to that or is that just something people do when someone in the fighting business has some degree of success?

I can't remember who said it now, but they claimed that from his amateur fights to his first pro fight he put on a unimaginable amount of muscle. To me, he looked like he toned up more than put a massive amount of muscle on. He also cut his body fat percentage quite significantly which gives the impression of being bigger, due to the muscles bulging rather sitting under a layer of fat.

After his fights he pretty much goes back to his normal body weight, like a lot of professional fighters do. Going by face value, I imagine the claims are unsubstantiated.
Well it's really hard to say unless there are proof of it, like VADA or any anti doping body caught him like in the blood or urine samples they have to voluntarily subject.

But then again, are there any body involved in this fight? I'm not sure, if Silva has also been positive as well in the past during his MMA days.

Can anyone confirm if VADA is on top of this fight or not?
1857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Le'Veon Bell vs Uriah Hall - October 29th on: October 08, 2022, 03:08:49 AM
Boxing is much easier to train and prepare for, in contrast to MMA.

The main reason professional fighters select MMA over boxing is boxers usually needing to compile 20-0 records before fighting for a championship or seeing a good payday.

Wheras in MMA it is possible to have a title shot or be paid well with as little as a 5-0 record.

However with the inception of Jake Paul and Logan Paul the nature of boxing has changed. Athletes with fewer than 5 professional boxing matches are being paid well, as long as they have a good following on social media. This is something that has never been seen before in boxing. Its good for athletes and celebrities. Although over the long term, it could devalue boxing as a sport. If the market becomes too saturated with unvetted amateurs competing at the highest levels.
Yes, but there are few exceptions like Loma who fought for a championship in his 2nd fight if I'm not mistaken. And of course, there are fewer MMA fighters as compare to boxers, in which boxing exist till the turn of the centuries. And so obviously, boxers will have to compete with a lot while MMA you can have 5 straight wins and then you are guaranteed for a title fight.

Th Paul brothers is different though, there are more of exhibition fighters rather that pure professional boxer so the market is very different.
1858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 07, 2022, 11:36:47 AM
^^ Many are looking for this kid and there are reports that scouts are present in the game and they are satisfied seeing Victor Wembanyama, and telling that he is a hybrid of KD and Rudy Gobert? And so they are very happy to watch him so it's going to be a dogfight if he even goes to the NBA.

As for Kai, he is also good but still very raw talent that needs to be developed.
1859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 07, 2022, 11:10:15 AM
^ Yes, same expectation as others, he should be showing us a good performance in this comeback fight. We missed him already when he involved himself to protect his homeland. But it's time that he goes back fighting against like his compatriot in Usyk. So if he wins by knockout or a complete shut out of Ortiz in the judges card, I'm not going to be surprised as this is the Loma that we are familiar since he become a champion.
1860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why 95% online Gambling websites are Scam? on: October 07, 2022, 10:47:51 AM
Hi guys I know That it silly thing because gambling is a thing in which only casino wins
.and a user will always loose it's money. And gambling makes people poor and drain everything from money to joy. And that sucks.
In 2017 I was introduced by Bitsler.com
This website took me at least 2000 dollars a that time. There was a time when I have at least 3 ETHER at the rate of dollars. And I regret that day when I lost everything. And that took my life from me. And that was the was the day I never entered this type of scams ever. And I know people will say that we become greedy. But system is designed I n such way that it took people money and everything that we had. And I know it just that hard.
Because that's how gambling business operations work. They have the house edge, you can't beat that. But there are days that you are going to be lucky and you should take that opportunity and logout once you win.

But if you comeback and play for more thinking that you can duplicate your winnings, chances are, you are going to lose. So the system is not a scam per se, it's just up to you how you control your emotions and not to fall for your greediness.
