1841  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-10-10] US SEC Rejects Bitwise Bitcoin ETF Proposal on: October 10, 2019, 07:16:25 PM
Even if they have the necessary requirements submitted they will just find a way to extend and extend the deadline until people forget all about it. Just like what they are doing with VanEck and Wilshire which was two of the three currently still in play for the Bitcoin ETFs. We should have noticed it by now that the SEC is just playing with us with all of this nonsense rules that even if they fulfill the requirements they will still have a reason to reject it. I don't know about you but I'm not really hyped by the possibilities of Bitcoin ETFs anymore I'll just believe it when it is already approved.
1842  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hacked or sold profiles tagged by Veleor on: October 10, 2019, 06:34:15 PM
Hi. What you are doing I appreciate that.
But for my case you are assuming something without any solid proof.

Firstly is that a crime to hold more than one profile in bitcointalk?
Secondly do you have any information or report that this profile is hacked or sold? Maybe I am handling my fathers account or my brothers account? I think there is a chance. Or its still me.
Thirdly is there any problem if 5 years back I lived in USA now I live in India? Or 4 years back I lived in Spain now I live in Thailand? Is that a problem?
Fourthly is that  problem if I changed my email and password? Is everyone in this forum  knock you before changing password or email?

The main problem is you are assuming everything. And depend on those fake assumption you destroyed my profile. Do you really have any solid proof that this profile is hacked or sold?
And Judging people based on their education or language nothing but a foolishness.
And you are not just destroying people's hard work , plus you are helping others people to do the same.
Thank you.
I am waiting for you answer.

I'm sorry but I do agree with Veleor's finding on you being a hacked/sold account. Aside from Veleor's points I also notice in your post history that after 2015 all your posts made was in the Altcoin Discussion section. Right after the account immediate became online again the account posted first in a bounty thread suggesting that this account is not owned by the previous owner anymore. The burden of proof doesn't really lie on Veleor since it's pretty convincing for me that you aren't the original owner.

1843  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: choose forex trading or crypto trading..? on: October 10, 2019, 04:40:37 PM
Before even crypto trading happened a lot of the traders have considered forex as the most volatile market to earn money but its not comparable to what we are experiencing in the crypto industry right now. It's more volatile therefore more unpredictable but if you have learned to analyze forex trading which has been considered hard by others then I think you will quickly adapt in crypto trading you just need time to adjust for it.

I hope someday the crypto exchange will include various national currencies, so it not only provides crypto exchange but also exchange money between countries.

This wouldn't be possible as this will certainly require another busoness permit for the crypto exchanges to operate in both crypto and fiat currency. I don't even think that they will allow thia kind of system especially whenthe KYC process is much easier for crypto exchanges.
1844  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: New IRS 'guidance' on: October 10, 2019, 03:15:15 PM
As far as I know no other tax authority has come out with this and it's ludicrous. In the UK it's taxable when you get rid. Then again I'm not sure what they mean by hard fork followed by an airdrop. They are in effect the same thing.

This conjures up images of people hard forking each other just to land them with giant tax bills.

I sort of get the point on why they are doing this, its similar how dividends work from a stock company and they treated forked coins as dividends of that cryptpcurrency. I remembered that when BTC was about to fork a lot of traders took advantage and bought Bitcoin to receive the forked coin, its similar how traders want to earn money from dividend plays in stocks. They are just trying to cover all our earnings coming from the market and I think its reasonable.
1845  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: RSS Feed crypto-news generator on: October 09, 2019, 08:50:20 PM
Question:
Are there any violations of the rules for using news resources in this service?

Thanks!

If you are asking if you are doing is plagiarism then the simple answer to that is no, you are just providing the links of the news itself and collecting it in your website. But the real question is does it really saves the readers time when they are going to news curators like this one? Of course not, in fact they are the complete opposite there is really no difference when reading headlines in just one news website compared to packs of headlines in a news feed, the time wasting part here is the news being provided are not even worth the time for the readers to read some of the headlines now in the feed have either misleading headlines or wrong information within the article, if you want high quality content you must source news coming from Bloomberg or Forbes and not some websites that recycle news and make it on their own.
1846  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Banks are Blocking funds? From Exchangers on: October 09, 2019, 08:13:12 PM
This is true depending on the country you are living, since I don't know where you live and I don't know the exact laws of your country it's best to ask this first in your local board since they are the ones who have first hand knowledge about bank transactions coming from your local exchanges. Some banks like the ones in India before blocks transactions coming from crypto exchanges like Zebpay making it impossible for their citizens to have the convenience of liquidating their crypto. Sometimes the banks decision on doing this is not just a independent act but there are also influences from their government that is why they are authorized to do it as they will.
1847  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥BITSLER > $20,000 Wagering contest + $5,000 Free challenges + Cashback/Chests on: October 09, 2019, 07:17:16 PM
Among the recent updates here are the two that I love most

"3. User levels reset every 3 months now (not every month) meaning there is more time to gain XP, level up and stay on the same Cashback percentage."

5. Levels do not reset to Bronze anymore, only 1 rank is lost every 3 months

Most specially this promotion

"Double Cashback Bonus will be active for 3 months, starting on 1 October 2019 00:00 AM (GMT +0) and ending on 1 January 2020 00:00 AM (GMT +0)"

Very nice update Admins!

Which means that the players won't go back to scratch after the the reset has happen, and the good thing is it's now every three months. Levels are now much easier to maintain now with the extended duration they have given, and I think the rest of the players would be delighted with the changes especially when Bitsler and the admins are listening to their feedbacks. Baryom already told that this will last for years so players won't have to worry about this being a temporary improvement for Bitsler.
1848  Economy / Economics / Re: World Global Economy 2019 and future. on: October 09, 2019, 06:19:49 PM
Europe the Economy stocks and property is about to Boom.

Those are facts not fictions!

You can't really generalize European stocks to all perform well in the world stock market specially if it still depends on the country where they are situated in. Not all countries part of Europe have the same economy as compared to other some are outperforming others while the rest are underperforming. With that kind of statement you are just expecting all stocks in EU will go up since they are part of Europe but the truth is they are not, countries like Greece and Ukraine will have the same economic growth as compared to Ireland or even Sweden.
1849  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market after Q3 and at the start of Q4 on: October 09, 2019, 04:50:52 PM
I don't see Bitcoin to dominate in the market when we are on a ongoing recession. Even if Bitcoin was born during the financial crisis there is no significance of it performing well right now, it didn't even go up during 2008 and it only received its first taste of price action 2 years after its creation. In a recession I don't see any market that is safe that's why the best thing to do is to pull out your capital first to any market you have and just be ready on a buying spree once the prices starts to bottom out. This is the only way I see that we will benefit from any market.
1850  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk.org collectible coin ideas & vote on: October 08, 2019, 08:58:22 PM
300 Coins/ Personalized Certificates (Or just even a COA)/ Paid by the User.

I like the idea that the user will be the one to pay such BCT Coin as this will be the first step of good faith in obtaining such Anniversary Coin from BCT, I think aside from the qualifications on who can own it this will just be an added step of not being a bogus owner. Aside from that I would like the idea of each members having a personalized coin with engravings of their name's attach from the coin aside from making it look cool for the owner this will prevent potential reselling happening for the coin. I know this is too much of an ask but I think it would really be cool as an owner having their names part of the coin.
1851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I access my BTC and other wallets on Public Internet Cafe on: October 08, 2019, 08:14:47 PM
On a public cafe that is not run through a diskless setup? Consider yourself vulnerable as its pc of those can contain a lot of spywares from malwares to even keyloggers. I wouldn't even try to log in my social media account on a computer I don't even know because that is too much of a risk and I'm not willing to be compromise from a mistake of not being to cautious on my own personal information. That's why Steam and other gaming clients have 2fa built in to their system because they know a lot of gamers are logging in to this computer cafes to have another wall of safety from the possibility of this kinds of things. It's even safer to have a mobile wallet version for electrum downloaded in your phone rather than trying to access your wallet in a public pc.
1852  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Market making is good, or BAD for crypto because... on: October 08, 2019, 07:16:34 PM
Did you just complicated the term "trader" into a market maker? Or are you referring to the real market makers which are financial institutions trading assets to earn income? Either way I only have one answer and that is overall it's good for the market. They are the ones kickstarting everything in trading as well as  making the market overall as an active place. If you notice that the daily traded volume is down you will see that a bear market is also strong as with a lesser trading activity it only just signifies a decrease in demand.  Traders/Makers in the market even though they can push down prices they are also the ones taking profit when they are pumping up the prices as well.
1853  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Turn Old Phones Into Cold Storage Crypto Wallets on: October 08, 2019, 06:33:06 PM
Plus you have to worry about the integrity of that old phone you want to use just for cold storage. There is a reason why that person isn't using that phone anymore aside from them having a new phone the old one would have some issues ranging from being laggy to a unreliable battery, once it gives up then you have no choice but to repair it and if I were you I won't trust my cold storage phone to be handed onto anyone just to fix it. This isn't really an ideal alternative for any hardware wallets out there as I would rather buy a new and reliable hardware wallet then to risk it just to utilize my old phone.
Problem with hardware wallet (ledger or trezor) is they are too small and the possibility of it to be misplaced is high, unlike using an old Iphone like an Iphone 6 and if its lost or stolen, you can use the find my iphone feature, same with using an android phone, I heard they also have almost the same function so at least you will have a peace of mind in case you iphone dedicated for Cryto transactions are lost or stolen.

I doubt that you can really misplace something that valuable if you are really a responsible hodler. Think of your hardware wallet as a piece of jewelry or even a photo that has a sentimental value for you, this items are not just placed onto any surface but is kept on a secure location that you know. Same goes with hardware wallets after you buy it you have another responsibility to carry in order to protect your cryptocurrencies. Having cryptos on your mobile phone in the other hand is no different than having a web wallet installed in that phone, you do know that hackers has other ways of getting your phone connected in the internet remotely in various ways.
1854  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2019-10-07 CNBC - ‘We’re closer than we’ve ever been’ to bitcoin ETF approval on: October 08, 2019, 04:44:16 PM
They have said this a thousand times already. I have seen news about this “deadline” of theirs for Bitcoin ETFs ever since 2018 and the news is always about the deadliest deadline being set and after that date has passed you will see a follow up news that the deadline has been extended to another month or so saying that they need more time on matters like this. So I wouldn't get to happy about this deadline since I have seen this before  and I will only believe it ones it already happens.
1855  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best trading platform? on: October 07, 2019, 08:47:03 PM
Before you even look and pick a crypto exchange you must know if your country allows the crypto exchange to operate in your country locally. Just like what happened to the USA where Binance temporarily shutdown their operations in their since they aren't permitted to operate you as a client must know what exchanges are permitted in your country. It would really help if you will ask on your local board about this question as hearing their answers from your fellow countrymen would really help a lot of picking the best option for you.

1857  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin in Bangladesh. on: October 07, 2019, 07:38:20 PM
This is really not about an issue of equal rights, if Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies are banned in your country then you and the rest of the citizens don't have any chance to buy one in the first place. There is really no inequality in that if you are just looking at it domestically. Since domestic laws is the basis of equal rights you won't really have to look at it from afar since all of you will be receiving the same treatment as the others, not unless we are talking about a violation of human rights then we can't really do anything about it. Treat it as like how Marijuana is legal in some countries and illegal in most of the countries, people in these countries where smoking marijuana is illegal really don't have any choice but to follow the law even if they feel that they are violated somehow.
1858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for Team Members (translators & philologist/proofreader) on: October 07, 2019, 06:57:54 PM
Best way to find translators is creating an ANN thread for your project as members are usually looking for it in those boards and not here in the project development board since this board is mostly about "development" and not on projects that are already looking for members to promote their projects locally. Having an ANN thread for your project and a section on what type of members are you looking for would certainly get the job done, just remember to only pick the members who are already trusted or have previous successful transactions related to the job if you don't want to lose your money in a scam.
1859  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Greed could destroy your life. How ? Take a look here ! on: October 06, 2019, 08:31:20 PM
A lot of people (especially the newbies) always gets fooled easily by this "get rich easily" type of schemes popping out of the internet. They always see the prize or pay that comes by doing it by they don't see the scam behind it since they get blinded by the easy payout in exchange for the easy steps they will do. At the end there only lesson is having these kinds of mistakes in order for them not to try it again and again, sadly others still try. Just like what they do in HYIPs sites, some really know that this is a scam and they are happy to bring down people with them just to get that referral commission they are looking for. Well for newbies reading this you don't want to be that person being part of the scam, you should just avoid it entirely. If us in the industry won't get fooled by scams and not be part of it these kinds of illicit activities will just die down eventually.
1860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 06, 2019, 06:48:53 PM
Told you, Dybala, over Higuain Cheesy, the Inter's defenders are weak on 1st step 1vs1.

The surprise for me is Bernardeschi over Ramsay, anyway 20 minutes at start.

~snip~

Plus Higuain is really not that player to get on this kinds of important matches. He would just be a starter on less important games at best or if either Dybala or Ronaldo is injured. For the game I don't think that Inter would be a push over against Juventus especially when there top spot is on the line, I would say that if they cannot push to win they would rather push to have a draw just to maintain that top spot, and seeing a 3-5-2 line up for Inter just shows that they want to be defensively minded on this game. I'm just surprised that they made Lukaku play this match because he will be coming of from a muscle injury.
