If anyone wants to get involved with a coin that already has a working decentralised exchange soon to be anon with an i2p patch and 0 involvement of any P & D groups or scamartists come along to Syscoin.  Get in now you'll make back what you lost here and much more.

Do you already have an eepsite? I'd like to look into this.
1882  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Swiss Issued 'Physical Bitcoin Certificates' on: December 12, 2014, 03:01:07 AM
These look absolutely stunning. Will definitely be placing an order soon.
1883  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Definitive proof the owner of pbmining is a scammer on: December 12, 2014, 02:22:18 AM
A few days ago I posted in another thread defending PBMining as I got my payout same time as always. Now things are not looking so good.

I am actually glad I am not heavily invested in cloud mining anyway.  Undecided
1884  Other / Off-topic / Re: Has anyone tried this site..?? on: December 12, 2014, 02:14:34 AM
Well you might perhaps get a payout, even two or three as long as other "investors" are helping keep it afloat. The majority of times greed, etc. keeps people coming back to these sort of schemes and they lose any money they initially put into it in the first place.

Check this also :

<< Great question! First of all, see Oleg Andreev's excellent article "The universe wants one money": http://blog.oleganza.com/post/54121516413/the-universe-wants-one-money
Competing with bitcoin wouldn't make any sense. Rather than compete, we want to build on and with the bitcoin community. We will not create a currency that competes with bitcoin. Instead, we will leverage the blockchain (The Blockchain, i.e., the bitcoin blockchain), and quite possibly also sidechains, in order to build our technology.
We are not making an altcoin. We are not making an altcoin. We are not making an altcoin. >>

I am going to preserve this quote. The more I look at alts, the more I despise them. It would indeed be much better for folks to build and expand upon the bitcoin technology as it is. I was pleased that reddit decided not to build yet another shitty clone coin.

Also, for those of you using changetip on reddit, here is a post on how to make an easy macro for quick tipping. http://redd.it/2lhsna
1886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn Bitcoins? on: December 12, 2014, 12:24:16 AM
Jobs4Bitcoin mentioned above is a great place, especially if you have any computer or coding skills. I have gotten a fe language translations jobs there as well.
1887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of hostility on: December 12, 2014, 12:21:29 AM
I would have thought that the people who don't know a ton about Bitcoin would have just shrugged it off as just another way to pay for their favorite Microsoft products. Why the hate?

I saw a tweet from someone today who was interested in learning about it, sent him a few bits via changetip. Led to a nice conversation regarding bitcoin and he said he would take to the gaming forum he is a member of. (I am not much of a gamer myself.)

Take this crap to the altcoin section lol
I just ran across this one while browsing this board. He also posted this to r/cryptocurrency on reddit some weeks ago and was promptly removed and tagged a spammer/scammer. But I agree with RiverBoatBTC that this has little place on this board.
1889  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Take care of links like this(blockchain)..HACKERS Inside on: December 11, 2014, 11:50:12 PM
Funny, I saw this link on reddit a few days ago, the poster using it had purportedly "leaked" a bunch of blockchain wallet accounts. Used a url shortening service to disguise the pitifully long link. I think the original post lasted 20 minutes before it was deleted.

This thread is entertaining......

You must be more popular in the unknown universe, since it appears no one here has ever heard of you.
1892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LIVE|MidasCoin|Backed|New Scrypt PoM|ATM card|Referral|NO IPO|UNIQUE on: December 11, 2014, 08:54:54 PM
Hey guyz, Didn't you dump this shitcoin when it's too soon?

When I got some of it for free, I dumped it immediately and never look back. So how much is it now?

Here is my one of exchange: 09/24/2014 21:23:59   09/24/2014 21:23:59   BTC-MID   Sell   0.00041031   30.69000000   30.69000000   0.00041030    0.01256093

You shouldn't trust any altcoin for so long... (Unless it has really good features...)

I had a friend who swapped some SHA hashing in exchange for Scrypt when this was released, and he wanted me to mine it for him. After < 4 hours I noticed how fishy it was and said so on twitter. In response, midascoin goes all mad defensive which is a sure sign to me that I indeed smell bullshit in the air. After a talk with my friend, and showing him the numbers it made perfect sense. I'm glad nothing was really lost on our end.
1893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN : Rainbowcoin (LGBT) on: December 11, 2014, 08:49:18 PM
I have not been able to find any news lately, were the wallet issues ever fixed? I still have a few of these in cold storage, but seems like the chain would fork every time I threw any mining power at it.
1894  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: ***https://easybitco.in official [ANNOUNCEMENT] page*** on: December 11, 2014, 04:55:48 AM
Good to see you guys back up, at least the chat. Looking forward to the new developments.

And there are 10 other coins that do the same thing and in some cases do it better.  If you are happy with RDD being in the 5-15 sat range this is a great coin, but if you think it is ever going to make you money, look elsewhere. This coin has missed its launch, and its community at reddit is now hanging on by a thread.

Agreed.
1896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoind: Limit ISP Data Usage by Reducing Maximum Connections ? on: December 09, 2014, 12:42:07 AM

I'm planning on working on a number of bandwidth reducing options for the next major release after 0.10.

0.10's parallelized block download will also reduce the variance in bandwidth usage that other nodes on the network experience.

This is indeed great news. Thanks for the update.
1897  Other / Meta / Re: DPR subpoena on: December 06, 2014, 06:05:26 PM
Luckily I've used PGP when I needed to.

Doesn't anyone worth their salt use PGP for sensitive information anyway? Why would you trust your personal security to anyone but yourself?

1898  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Pbmining is a scammer on: December 04, 2014, 06:08:31 PM
Hm....I looked at the payments of the last 3 weeks, there is a decrease, although networkpower decreases?

0.0000125 per Ghs payout 2 weeks ago
0.0000116 per Ghs payout 1 weeks ago
0.0000107 per Ghs payout this sunday

Maybe really something going on.... Huh

This happens over time as difficulty rises.

I also wanted to note I have used pbmining for months now without issue. I was gifted a few GH/s from another member and later purchased more.

Is this even real life?
It is amazing. When this is all done I may preserve the entire conversation in a set of irc bots that bicker back and forth. Then SpecialEd bot rages.
