1821  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: December 27, 2014, 11:00:08 PM
I have never used sig campaigns before, since most are for gambling which isn't my thing. This is a service I will likely use, and signup was a breeze. I'll report back in when I complete my first week.

Perhaps he needs some more Cryptogenic Frequent-Flyer Miles in order to make the trip.

... it wasn't
just some dudes high on a hill somewhere declaring
they invented a currency and saying everyone should
go use it.

This sounds like the majority of alt and clone coins nowadays. As long as you have a fancy name and slick graphics (and a lemming-esque userbase) you are golden.

This is mostly true and why I am a big fan of PoS coins. I think every Central Bank should have one.

This may well be my favourite quote of the entire year.

My statement still stands.  While I agree that premines and ICO's are in general pretty scammy things to do, there simply isn't enough there to be much of a scam

Good. Let's stick to the current financial system and just like governments make money appear out of thin air.

About 45 million coins have been DESTROYED of the premine. This occurred in transaction d6ab6f201c62c2a73981fc6f981a80742d552408bc70d53df30254a1e67a2727. This drops the premine down to a much more reasonable 5 million coins, which while still somewhat large, is no longer years worth of mining.

Still, there is a premine there even if some of it *was* destroyed. I have yet to hear good reasoning (besides scammy excuses) as to why a premine is ever really necessary now. Ditto for IPO's.

Yeah, but that is tiny!  I've mined 500k myself in just a few days.  Hardly obnoxious and they have already been paying out for bounties.  I really don't see the issue  Huh

It is a very tiny bit. They have destroyed the majority of the primed coins and using the remaing small tiny bit that left for hosting, giveaways, etc... see no issue here. Please close this topic as it's no point to drag it anymore.

Sorry, I don't take advice from noobs with a post count of 4. (Let the sock puppetry begin)

Any update on the giftcards you owe?

EDIT: Left negative feedback. You've had plenty of time to pay us (or atleast a part of it). I will remove the feedback once I receive what you owe me.

I did the same. I will remove my negative trust rating when I am at least compensated what I was promised day 1. I don't normally do ref services but I had hopes for this one, only to see that the owner made a lot of promises he couldn't keep in the beginning. Why should I continue to trust him and possibly play on his site?

EDIT: Wow. 4 negative comments. This guy is toast. Good little scam while it lasts I guess.

bitmiles https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=892298.0

Heritage: LTC 0.6.9ish, piggycoin template(https://github.com/piggycoin/piggycoin)

Problems:

* EXTREME: Premine is extremely excessive and will be more than the network will mint for over 2 years
** The premine being expressed as a percentage of the supply is deceiving, given that the full supply takes decades to mint
** See https://gist.github.com/Earlz/de3cc5f6ee85c7a69d53 to properly destroy a portion of this excessive premine

* MODERATE: genesis seed is not a news event

Notes:

Watermarks: uint64, pow, unknown

I jumped off this flight as soon as I saw the premine, but I did love your gist there earlz

@siameze
Buddy bro, I don't care who you are, when you set up a meeting with someone, show up!
Don't tell me your silly excuses that you couldn't set up some proxy..
The guy wasn't able to set up a proxy for his IRC client..
Can you believe that ? Yet he said he wanted to talk over IRC..
Dude, srsly.. that sucks, and you did that twice..

Rather disingenuous reply, don't you think? Surely the best programmer in the whole known (and unknown) universe knows how corporate firewalls work and why I can't just magically appear at the behest of some random Korean guy on irc.

Happy holidays nonetheless and good luck with your endeavors.

You reported this over a week ago, why is it still here?

They are waiting for a few more noobs to sign up before dropping the hammer.

At any rate, it has interesting thread potential.
