1801  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN][ALPHA] BitcoinRunner - an arcade-style scoller powered entirely by Bitcoin on: December 29, 2014, 06:30:41 PM
My God this game is addictive. I love retro games so this gets permanent bookmark status. Thanks so much for this!

Also upvoted your post on reddit, you deserve it.
1802  Other / Off-topic / Re: JoyCoin will take over the World, mining begins now! on: December 29, 2014, 06:17:51 PM
But thanks, because it filled me with joy to be reminded how lucky I am to be young, healthy, and loaded.  I'm gonna take some molly and fuck some dirty whores from backpage right now.  I'm like a 16nm oil immersed next-gen ASIC on Joycoin!

I like your style, bring out the SUPER ASICS why don't ya?  Grin

I wonder how much energy has been wasted in this circlejerk of a thread.

You're probably saying that we've had a lot of fun here.
I don't know about you, but I'm mining the heck out of JoyCoin:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=905184.0

I was indeed saying that, and I made extra popcorn. I enjoy all this fun.

Hope JoyCoin is being good to you. I haven't heard of it but will check out the thread you posted later.
1804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of stake mining of bicoin on: December 29, 2014, 05:44:58 PM
Improvements in PoW come in a form of advancements in energy-efficient computation

You mean improve on how to waste energy more efficiently?

Energy cannot be wasted, just transformed.
Do you play computer games, do you watch tv, engage in sports maybe?

Do you realize how much energy humanity 'wastes' by simply existing?
Yeah, the whole Universe is just an utter waste of energy, this needs to stop, teh Big Crunch will save us Cheesy

I wonder how much energy has been wasted in this circlejerk of a thread.
1805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Altcoin community survey on: December 29, 2014, 05:12:02 PM
I'm sorry to hear that. Let me know if the problem still occurs later (and at which question the survey is stuck). Cheers!

It was evidently only misbehaving under Chrome for me. Tried again with Iceweasel and it worked perfectly. Good luck!
1806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Altcoin community survey on: December 29, 2014, 04:57:52 PM
I tried to take your survey, but could only answer the first 4-5 questions, there was no "NEXT" button or whatever. Will try from a different browser later this afternoon to see if that helps.
1807  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Magnetz [MGT] is very likely another ICO from scammer! on: December 29, 2014, 04:18:37 PM
It will most likely take quite a few more of these ICO scams before newbies catch on. I saw this particular coin announced in quite a few places, but like any ICO/premine coin I simply ignore it.
1808  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cryptsy.com is SCAM [EAT YOUR MONEY] N#3 N4 THIS SITUATION I NOT RECOMENDATIONS on: December 29, 2014, 04:09:50 PM
Sure Cryptsy has it's hiccups from time to time, but overall it is a decent exchange. My only gripe is in the USD market section, would be nice if they removed those shitty coins with < 0.5 trade volume that clutter it up.
1809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of stake mining of bicoin on: December 28, 2014, 08:13:38 PM
isn't getting rich why we're all here?

This may shock you, but no that isn't everyone's motivation for being here. Quite a few people that frequent this forum are already rich. Some are here for the technology and the possibilities that it opens.
1810  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much weight did you gain over the holidays? on: December 28, 2014, 08:07:42 PM
I guess I have ~3kilos weight gain: beer, vodka, whiskey, brandy and of course food.. but these caloric drinks has the most influence..
btw, your pic says different  Grin

Vod HAS TO BE like that for all the boob-licking goodness.

My holiday was uneventful. I preferred liquid meals.
1811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bringing WoT to some use. on: December 28, 2014, 08:05:50 PM
What the hell is this premined coin?

Sorry, premine and ICO coins go right to the top of the untrustworthy list.
1812  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For botters looking for an opportunity to profit on: December 28, 2014, 06:31:30 PM
Real shady.

I agree. I don't think I would touch this at all. Not looking to invest/trade in places that promote artificial volumes, etc.
1813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ISIS to create own coin. How can we convince to use Bitcoin? on: December 28, 2014, 05:34:47 PM
You want to help ISIS fund their terror with Bitcoin?!?! Are you a working with them, one of their terrorists?

If you're helping criminals fund their crimes, you are also a criminal. And if you want an easy way to destroy Bitcoin's reputation with the masses, get it associated with the largest terrorism group in the world...no one will want to use the "currency of criminals."

Maybe they should be encouraged to use one of the 953 flavours of shitty alts out there, and help wipe them off the scene.
1814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ISIS to create own coin. How can we convince to use Bitcoin? on: December 28, 2014, 04:45:56 PM
Bitcoin already has too many accusations of being terrorist linked. We don't need feed them with stuff like this topic

Don't want ISIS using bitcoin? Simple, embed a few messages in the blockchain that say "The Prophet Mohammad loves CP" or something similar. They'll never touch it.
1815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To all the newbies, i have sum up for you about bitcoin on: December 28, 2014, 04:37:31 PM
In the past people at least used to spam Bitcoin related referrals.
Such decadence these times

I got so sick of ref links around the time of inputs.io I nearly stopped visiting most bitcoin forums.
1816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of stake mining of bicoin on: December 28, 2014, 04:33:47 PM
Do people here really care about technology? What I see here is that people (the establishment) tried to protect their investment. There is nothing wrong with that.

But you can not stop other people to explore new opportunities by new technologies. We all want to be rich, don't we? You will be rich until you have large amount of coins and convert your coins into the hard cash or the coin you bet on becomes to a real thing like Facebook or Google.

Wish yourself lucky enough to bet on the right one.

No, nothing wrong with that at all. I personally care more about the emerging technology than I do becoming the next bzillionaire.

Sometimes in this crazy world of cryptocurrency it is hard to see the forest for the trees.
1817  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk++ script - v0.2.96 on: December 28, 2014, 04:28:00 PM
Hi guys I'm back
One of the reason of my break is the creation of a website (not bitcoin related) so that made me practice JS/jQuery/HTML/Bootstrap a bit more!
As the forum software is about to change I'll just fix broken things on the current script until the release. Then when it's released I'll make a new script with jQuery/Bootstrap (ie more easily read by you, more eye candy, more quickly to write, less browser incompatibility)

Welcome back, I'm rather new to your script but it has a lot of nice features and I love the old-school feel of it. Look forward to seeing what the future brings for this project.
1818  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit "DICE" 160Ghs Entry miner/blockchain personal lottery device on: December 28, 2014, 04:23:08 PM
I'm certain the tplink would be the best option, but if you order the bare bones miner (as I did) you should at very least get a link to working software, I feel. Anyways, just agreeing that everyone should grab a tp w/ their orders.. or Technobit could mod the case designs a lil more and include them in their setup's.. as bitmaintech does with their controller boards.

Aside from 2 days of downtime as soon as they arrived due to no information & the fact I didn't realize I couldn't use them out the gate, Technobit replied to my email and fixed everything right up for me. Have been purchasing hardware from them all year and definetely recommend to the first-time buyer.

I'll get you up and running, just like we did with the Zeus  Cheesy If that wasn't a "Hail Mary" hack I don't know what is.
1819  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: User trying to double dip from my service on: December 28, 2014, 01:54:41 AM
Yes his HF trust sales threads are entertaining to say the least. I dare say he fits in much better there with the skids than here.
1820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Installing BitcoinD when Bitcoin-qt is already installed (Ubuntu 12.04)? on: December 28, 2014, 01:46:23 AM
Also as an aside, you will need to add/edit your .conf file. I can't remember if the new version populates it automatically for you or not.

EDIT: Also try the bitcoin-cli. The daemon-rpc calls will eventually be obsolete.
