Lockdown can't be extended again and again for an infinite period. In my country (India), a large part of the population are daily wagers and they'll starve to death of the lockdown is not lifted soon. The government may be able to feed them for 2-3 months, but not more (especially as the tax revenue has hit rock bottom). My guess is that the lockdown will be lifted on May 3rd (at least partially), irrespective of whether the situation comes under control or not.

So within 2-3 months, we may witness a limited resumption of the sports activities as well. It will become the new normal, as we can't shut down the economy indefinitely.

Yes, the economic condition in those areas may become worse with the passage of time if the lockdown sustains but you cannot lift the lockdown due to this and say you have no option. Because if the lockdown is lifted and suddenly there are a lot of patients detected of covid19, this could be a worse situation for any country.

After almost two months, watched a live cricket match today. Fancode mobile app did broadcast some matches from the Taipei T10 League. Don't ask me much about the quality, because you know the answer.  Grin But still I was really happy to watch some live action. And as expected, this so called "Taipei League" don't have a single Taiwanese player. All of them are expats.

I have no idea about this league as nothing is mentioned on cricinfo about it. However i searched it to find the complete details of it, maybe it will be helpfu for those who want some live action.

Taipei T10 League 2020: Fixtures, Schedule, Squads, Broadcast & Live Streaming Details

However i could not find any highlights of the match on youtube. Where did you watch the match ?
1923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Gambling Life During Quarantine on: April 25, 2020, 12:51:29 PM
Very dull.... This quarantine has to be over soon, and the sports that i usually bet on has to resume so I'll be able to resume betting again.
TBH, I temporarily forget gambling because I am busy with other skills, I'm learning a lot online especially on the IT side, but as soon as the sports will resume, I'll be focus again on what I usually do.

For all those who bet on sports only, their gambling life is so very dull. I also used to go gambling on cricket matches and these days there are no matches to bet upon. Every passing day is become more dull and boring. I hope this is over soon and we are back to our normal lifes.
1924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 25, 2020, 11:37:28 AM
For this particular game ; English media had a very colonial mindset about any Subcontinent team so they didn't bother to cover this game and same goes with the broadcasters.

I don't want to generalize anyone... but BBC in particular have a very bad attitude towards Indians. I've been watching BBC news regularly for more than 15 years now, and I have noticed this several times. On the other hand, international channels such as CNN, RT and DW are more balanced in their coverage. That said... it is a great loss for the Indians that the match was not covered. We will never get to see that amazing innings from Kapil Dev.
BBC and British media never been happy with any good things happening in sub-continent mostly they reports which bring negative point of this area just because of this they never been popular here like CNN and now DW is also doing some good work with the help of local broascasters.

Are you people talking about old days when British media was not fair ?
Today the things have changed dramatically and all the broadcasters give priority to cover the cricket in India more than anywhere else.

Next match to be on air on Retrolive on 24th April. I am sure unlike previous matches no one knows what happened in this match, you need to google it to find all about this match or watch it on 24th   Wink

This match is over now on Retrolive but if anyone missed the match or wanted to see it again, then you catch it at the below link.

This match may not be interesting for you but being a cricket lover, you might enjoy the match or look out for some special innings and how was cricket being played 20 years back when the technology was not so advanced as it is now. Such matches also rewind our lives to 20 years back and a lot of memories comes to my mind.

Technology started changing from the late 1980s onward. So if you want to get a good idea about how the matches was played before the technological revolution, then you need to watch the tournaments that were played before mid-1980s. But some of those matches are not available online. One example is the India vs Zimbabwe match in 1983, in which Kapil Dev made 175 not out. That match was not broadcast live, so no video is available.

Since we can't watch those matches, so we can't imagine how they were played. But even 20 years ago the technology were not so good as it is now. We didn't have closeup reviews, hawkeye and a lot of other things at that time.

Yeah ICC and all members had a meeting today and they are looking at 3 possible scenerio..

1. Follow same schedule for t-20 world cup.
2. If not then next window is Feb - March 2021 ( in that case ipl will take Oct 2020 slot) -- which you mentioned-
3. Last option reschedule WC in 2022.

The T20 world cup occurs every two years so if it is reschedule in 2022, then this would mean that the 2020 T20 WC is cancelled.
Only option No. 3 looks feasible at the moment. There is no way that the WC can take place this year and since IPL won't be played this year, the next year IPL cannot be disturbed too.

Is that same game, where Sachin made 100 something and beat the shit out of all Australian bowlers? If yes then yeah I remember this match 😔😔

This is the match played  on 24 April 1998 and my memory is not so strong to remember these old matches. (world cups are an exception)
I have googled it and found https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/8534/scorecard/65774/australia-vs-india-final-coca-cola-cup-1997-98

Tendulkar made 134 and was the man of the match in this final.  This innings would be worth watching.

Now this very long lock down with these very old matches going to be more bore as nothing new every news channel crying about Corona or about side effects of this lock down but we cannot do any thing just stay in stay safe with this all bore matches.

I saw on the Australian news the other night that the T20 world cup must go ahead some how as there is a lot of money at stake with broadcast rights etc... so I'm thinking that Australia will take the risk with this and go ahead with the T20 world cup but don't know if it will be played in October.
That would be really dumb. Everyone would criticize them for focusing on money rather than saving human lives. Personally, I would not watch any of those matches.

October is so far now and we can expect that within October, pandemic will not be last anymore. It is expected that the virus will not be so sharp anymore.
Lol. Corona will only cease to be a threat when everyone are vaccinated which will probably take another year. 2020 and 2021 will be marked by Corona and things will probably get back to normal in 2022.

ICC can't afford and wait for 2022 to resume its matches. No one can survive two years without doing anything. Infact they are already worried about the situation  and thinking to find a way out of it as soon as possible.

Main area of concerns discussed [Source: (https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/29083533/cricketing-heads-meet-plot-way-crisis)]
1- Men T20 World Cup
2- ODI Super League
3- World Test Championship

1932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Is Crash game more risky ? on: April 22, 2020, 06:20:01 PM
I have been playing the traditional gambling games but i have observed that crash game is more risky than the other gambling games. I always feel more greedy while playing a crash game and this make me lose more money. I think i have lost more money in crash games than any other game.

What is your observation on this  and do you prefer other gambling games over the crash games ?

Wayki Chain Signature Campaign is launched few minutes ago and I noticed weird rules of the campaign. As per the rules, participant has to write 30 posts weekly and only three sub-sections namely, Bitcoin Discussion, Altcoin Discussion and Altcoins (ANN) are allowed.

I am pretty sure that not even a single user exist on this forum whose natural posting habit includes writing 30 posts weekly in these sections.

So all the participants who will join the campaign will be forced posters leading to unnatural posting (or spamming).

Most of the altcoin signature participants spam in one way or the other (I know) but most of them expect only 10-20 posts from participants. 30 is too much and will be easily noticeable like YoBit.

Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5242265.0

What are your views?

Please lock this thread as he has already changed the posts requirement to 20.  Although the section restrictions remain the same.

the weekly posts decreased to 20

(Still discussion about COVID is a different topic so will discontinue posting from here regarding this)
COVID-19 is basically the topic to discuss these days which is why I wouldn't worry. This virus is what is on everyone's minds these days.

Yeah but this thread is about the cricket so we should discuss only about the cricket here. I do agree that all of the cricket is paused these days only because of this covid-19 but we have many other threads where covid-19 is being discussed in more details.

I wonder when we will see first match (Test / ODI / T20) after this break. Maybe next year  Huh
1938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 21, 2020, 11:24:46 AM
It is very bad that the employers of the Casinos did not pay their employees. It is inhumane, in such a dire situation that the pandemic has struck, these Casino owners should help the working hand that has made them wealthy. Like all closed businesses today, they are massively laying off their employees. In the midst of all this, I have seen humanitarian aid that they have been sending food to them and also the Trump government has created a plan to send money to Americans in this chaos of Covid19.

Unfortunately this is the face of current capitalism. Around the world, many private organizations refuse to repel forced leave for their employees.
As for me, this perfectly shows the attitude of the organization towards the person who works for it.

We cannot say anything if they did that, and we cannot force them to show kindness to other people. But I am sure that not all of them be like that. There will be a company that will care with their employee, and they will support them. And if we work with them, I think that will help us to survive at this moment because it is hard to find that such a company.

This is a test for everyone both for the employers and the employees. Those kind hearted employers who will pay the salary when none or less work is done by the employees, they will be rewarded by the nature in some form in future. The good deeds never go wasted. It would be better if all of the employers are kind hearted and help their employees.
1939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to begin your gambling affiliate journey. on: April 21, 2020, 07:49:27 AM
I have tried spreading my affiliate link to multiple platform in order to get passive income however it didn't work.
I feel like people do not like pressing affiliate links on a way that they don't want someone else to get money from their activity - It is a psychological reason in my opinion... Of course it is a good way to earn some money but it is very difficult.

You are right - no one likes referral and affiliate links. In order for a person to register using such links, he must be interested by some serious bonus. Many companies forget about this and set a bonus only for the one who makes the advertisement, but not for the one who signs up by it.

The best way to ask people to join your referral link is to have some sort of platform first, where people listens and trust you. It could be facebook group, telegram group or a youtube channel. When the like-minded people already know you, they whatever link you will given them to join, they will join for sure. This is like a team work.
