1961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The faith of Altcoins in 2022 on: January 04, 2022, 08:17:23 PM
Contrary to speculations from various cryptocurrency analysts who have predicted that the altcoin market was going to witness the highest price boom in 2021 it seems the hype was overrated and the market went in the other direction opposite the speculations and many speculators are left with no choice than to flow with the current market conditions.
The altcoin market witnessed some new development and projects such as the web 3 NFTs and the discovery of the metaverse which are now the rave of the moment, this and many more are the happenings that characterize the altcoin market with its wave being transferred to this year 2022. I guess the altcoin faith is left hanging at the moment and a lot of analysis has gone ahead which all point to a more groundbreaking development ahead.

Well if you compare the price of most altcoins at the first day of 2021 with the price of the first day of 2022 then i would say that most altcoins did pretty well in 2021 i would guess. Yes of course it is true that altcoins and smaller cap altcoins especially took heavy losses in the second half of 2021 and also my portfolio that consists mainly of small cap and new projects is down like 80% at least from it's ATH from back in May 2021. Still my portfolio is now worth more than in January of 2021 so overall the last year was pretty good i would say.
In my opinion we now need a phase where BTC and ETH are stable before the others altcoins can beging to rise again.
1962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 04, 2022, 06:23:57 PM
Corona will weaken teams for the second half of the season again.

Bielefeld, Mainz, Cologne, Hoffenheim, Leverkusen and Freiburg currently have no Corona case within the team. All other teams in the 1st Bundesliga have cases and these players will not be allowed to play next weekend. Already 10 players will be missing for the opening match between Bayern Munich and Gladbach.

The 10 missing players in the match between Bayern and Gladbach show us how fast the coronavirus spread and how much it affects football. Cases in the English league are at the top. In a few days, perhaps there will be an increase in the number of coronavirus cases again and the matches will be postponed. If the games start playing, I think Bayern will beat Gladbach.

Yeah pretty crazy how many clubs are affected now almost out of sudden with quite a lot of covid cases. I just read that the numbers of players with positive covid test keeps increasing and increasing. FC Bayern Munich alone has now 10 confirmed players that have a positive covid test and among them are also quite a few players from the starting eleven like Manuel Neuer, Leroy Sane, Upamecano, Kingsley Coman and Lucas Hernandez. In addition to that Bayern has 2 players that are at the africa cup at the moment with choupo moting and bouna sarr so bayern has 12 players missing in total, which is a huge number. So if other teams want to be successful against Bayern, now at the beginning of the second half of the season is probably the biggest chance.
1963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Won't let me swap Dogecoin through Pancake Swap on: January 04, 2022, 05:17:39 PM
I have plenty Dogecoin in my wallet...

but when I try swapping it out through Pancake Swap the balance is showing as 0!....

Is is possible to swap Dogecoin through Pancake Swap? If not, how can I swap it using TrustWallet and/or the Binance exchange? (I am based in the UK which I have been told means I can do more through Binance than the US version allows)

I think that your problem is that you are trying to swap native Dogecoins via Pancakeswap and this can not work because pancakeswap is only for tokens that are running on the BEP-20 chain (Binance Smart Chain) and of course the native coin of that chain BNB. So if you want to sell your Dogecoin on pancake swap you have to bridge it before into  BEP20-Dogecoin. Once this is done you should be able to sell without problems on pancakeswap. Also there are many good bridges out there that you can use, there is also one from binance itself. Or you could just send your dogecoin to a centralized exchange that is trading Dogecoin, which should be a lot.
1964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 04, 2022, 11:11:28 AM

The management of Barcelona has been completely unstable for the last two years. It is unknown that what they want to do. They put Torres on the team for a lot of money. Now they want Morata on the team. Maybe they will be stronger with Morata in the team. Morata and Torres may not be able to play due to financial restrictions. What's the point of keeping them in the squad if you can't play? I don't see any other way for Barcelona now than to sell players. Players of high wages have to sell in this transfer window.

I think that Barcelona is in a very complicated situation at the moment. I mean it's their own fault that they are in this situation but still. They have more than 1,3 Billion € of debts and therefore they urgently need to save money and to reduce the costs in order to get somewhat financially stable again within the next few years or so, but on the other hand they can not just sell every good and important player that they have. This would mean that Barca would probably no longer qualify for the European competitions and they really need the money from these cups. So they have to save money while  staying competitive at the same time.
1965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: meta is the future ???? on: January 04, 2022, 11:05:59 AM
Last year the facebook was renamed to Meta
but what is the future for Meatverse

so far many project or protocol on the blockchain is just the  conception

which one is good for investment about Meta?

ANY one is ur recommended crypto ?

do we need a one-stop platform for Metaverse  something likes the Metabase one BTC

I kinda feel like that with the metaverse it is the same as with all the other hypes that come and go with cryptos. There were some projects a few months ago that performed extremely well like Sandbox and Bloktopia and then a lot of people also hopped on the metaverse train as soon as i saw that there can be money made with that. Now we have so much metaverse projects out there already again and i doubt that more of a handful of them will be successful in the longterm. I think Victoria VR can be one of those because the project started some years ago already and is not just a quick clone or a move by a team to get quick money.

Increasing rumors from England this time about a possible retirement from Hamilton.

According to these rumors, Mercedes is doing a talk with Gasly in case Hamilton will retire or for 2023.

Source: https://www.formulapassion.it/motorsport/formula-1/f1-team/mercedes-occhi-su-gasly-per-il-dopo-hamilton-599459.html

What a surprise, why Gasly? I almost can't imagine it, Russell will have to prove himself next season whether he can deliver top performances in a top team all year round, but I wouldn't put it past him to stand up to the pressure, especially with Hamilton as a team mate 🤔.

First of all i don't really think that Hamilton will retire. He is not that old yet with 36 years for a race driver and i would say he could compete at the highest at least 4 or 5 more years, just look at Alonso and how well he did. In the end hamilton decides for himself if he wants to keep on racing or if he wants to quit. Rosberg quit immediately after he won the championship back in 2016 and maybe hamilton quits now after he lost that championship in such a dramatic way. Maybe he is also afraid that Mercedes won't be in such a strong position now with the new cars and he does not want to risk it to drive for the positions 8 to 12 or so.
1967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin to Shiba Inu. on: January 03, 2022, 04:45:11 PM
Hello,
Does it make sense to convert Dogecoin into Shiba Inu?

Thank you.

Both are meme-coins so basically both are useless sh*t-tokens that offer zero utility for it's users the only difference between them is that Dogecoin is the one "project" that was the first of it's kind while Shiba Inu was the most successful ones of the thousands of Dogecoin clones that started to appear once Elon Musk made his tweets. Early token holders of both projects already made huge profits and i think that the period of useless sh*t-coins will slowly but surely fade away so if you are thinking about selling your Dogecoin then i would probably invest that money into a real project instead of Shiba Inu.
1968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 02, 2022, 03:51:50 PM
Their current form and management will end them winning the bundesliga in the next three years.
They are the best and has maintained such standard for a long long time now.
Teams that ends up beating Bayern Munich might be as a result of fatigue or a little mistake while playing, I see no.domination over them from.any team.

I would also like it to be like that, but we must not forget that the world of football is ruled by money. If there will come a club willing to pay enough for Robert Lewandowski, Bayern's future may be unfortunately different.

What could also upset the balance of power in German football would be if the 50+1 rule were to be overturned at some point in the next few years. German football clubs still need to hold 51% of their shares themself. This is the reason why we don't have sheihk or oligarch investors in the bundesliga yet that buy up clubs like in England or France. I personally are in favor of keeping this 50+1 rule because i don't want sheikhs or oligarch buying german clubs with a lot of tradition to make them their toy. If the financial gap between the german teams and the other european leagues becomes to big though i could imagine that this rule will be gone sooner or later.
1969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot DOT a good investment q1 2022 on: January 02, 2022, 03:43:52 PM
I was looking at some of the top 50 stablecoins ,and im thinking Polkadot. Apart from erc and bep tokens

Well first of all Polkadot is not a stable coins because stable coins are there to represent a certain fixed value, most of the time this is the US Dollar in crypto so USDT and USDC for example are stable coins that aim to be worth 1 USD per token all the time. I guess you mean you were looking for some established and big projects that are in the top 50 in terms of marketcap. Polkadot is definitely a great project in my opinion, but i am not so sure if i personally would invest into polkadot at the moment. Early investors already made a x100 or more with that coins and i usually avoid such projects. In addition to that the unlimited supply of polkadot is something that i also don't like.
1970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥶 Winter Beijin 2022 🥶 Discussion and bet thread 🥶 Winter Game 🥶 on: January 02, 2022, 12:53:15 PM
You cannot expect the Winter Olympics to be as big as the Summer Olympics, personally i am not a big fan of the winter Olympics even though i am die hard fan of the Summer Olympics who watches almost all events that interest me on a daily basis and because majority of the sporting events in the Winter Olympics are not familiar to me i am yet to watch a single event till live.

I will be following this thread, as i have no idea about the athletes participating and the events.

You are not alone in this list. There are not many countries in summer and winter Olympics that's why interest in lessen in these games as compared to Olympics where whole world compete. I also don't think many sites will offer betting on these games since not many are involve in betting on winter Olympics.

Well that is only partly true i would think. Yes of course countries from south america, africa and from parts of asia basically don't compete at the winter olympics at all, but the rest of the world pretty much does. So we still have north america, europe (including russia where the winter olympics are at least as important as the summer olympics) and also china, japan and korea. I would say that in all those countries and regions the winter olympics are a very important event and those are basically all the big and wealthy countries of the world. So i would not underestimate the importance of the winter olympics.
1971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bull run on: January 02, 2022, 12:41:57 PM
The rapid development of crypto at this time also makes this year worthy of being called a bull run, a time when almost all crypto asset prices have increased. If this year there is a bull run, what will happen in 2022, what will happen to the crypto market?

Well that is the big question that nobody really knows the answer to, except maybe some huge whales that really have the power to control the directions where the market is going. Up until the mid of may of this year we really were in a total bull run with almost no setbacks of the prices for a few months straight, but then in the end of may a pretty big correction happened and since then we are in a relatively unstable market i would say because we have rarely seen a two weeks phase where the prices where stable or going up without at least one or a few red days in between. I personally hope for a stable market now for a certain time, then maybe the market starts to go up again.
1972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First Banger Coin of the year!! on: January 01, 2022, 05:44:40 PM
This project launched yesterday and has been killing it. They got called by a ton of groups and have a strong community backing them as well as a top tier influencer. They are playing off the Cheems token success story of last year with a trendy name. Join the tg and check out the website, this team is very professional and based and 100% safe. Join in and have a look around and check out their website and plans as well, you dont want to miss this one!! Tg is https://t.me/Cheeems2022. Website is https://cheeems2022.com/

So the team is very professional and still they launched another absolutely useless sh*it-coin without any utility or functionality for it's users. On their website it even says, "the new year token" so it is already obvious that this "project" will be dead again in a few weeks. They did not even put in the effort to find a new and interesting name for it, they just added an additional "e" to an already existing sh*t-coin. I really am a fan of Defi and all the Dexes that are now available but the bad side of this development is that every sh*t-coin that would have never been listed on a CEX can now be traded and used to create a quick pump and dump.
1973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you think about lottery? on: January 01, 2022, 05:40:24 PM
What's your opinion on lottery, whether it is an addicted gambling practice or it is quite Ok to buy lottery regularly. There are people who allocate separate fund from their earnings for lottery. Only the luckiest will make the win, and today got to read about a lucky winner on the UAE lottery. It is the first time in his lifetime buying a lottery, and he had won about $3 million. He's working as a labour and he has said to the media he'll buy agricultural land in his village (India) and support develop the school in his region.

I had a phase a few years ago where i participated in the national lottery twice a week for a few months here in Germany. Even though i always chose as many possible combinations as possible and therefore also spent quite a lot of money on the tickets twice a week i never really won anything that is worth to nice here that is why i stopped buying lottery tickets a long time ago. When you do sports betting or other gambling you have at least a little influence on the outcome of your games, even though it is still very much luckbased (especially in most gambling games), while in the lottery it is 100% luck based.
1974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: January 01, 2022, 01:27:38 PM
I believe with all the changes Ferrari keeps saying they’re making they’ll be one of the contenders to win the title next season, because they gave up on 2021 races to work on 2022 races.

I think they've all been doing this. I remember in 2020 Mercedes stopping development halfway through the season to work on the future car for what were then the new 2021 regulations, before it all got put back a year.
TBH I would be very surprised to see Ferrari leading the pack. Even if they somehow manage to build a car that's as good as a Merc or a Red Bull, Max and Lewis would still be someway down the road, as Ferrari don't have the drivers to challenge.

Even though i think that we might see some surprises in the next season in terms of the ranking of the teams i still don't see that there will be such a major shake up. If i had to bet then i would still go for Mercedes as the strongest team for the next season. They just have the most resources, even though there is a cap on spending in theory. I think that almost every team already invested heavily into the next season in terms of money and also time since before the start of the last season and also while it was ongoing. So i don't really think that Ferrari has a big advantage here as basically every team did the same as them. Haas even used the exact same car as the year before because they solely focused on the 2022 season.
1975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The moment of truth on: January 01, 2022, 01:23:01 PM
This is the moment of truth, today is 1st of January 2022 will crypto market start retracing 60k after holidays is over? Or the market is tired of pumping and will fall even Futher? This questions have been on my mind for a while now because to be honest bulls have been here for two years already I'd say this is one of a kind bull market so far but what's keeping crypto at this stronger phase?

If you look at the middle of 2020 and from then onwards to today then we can definitely say that the last 18 months or so in general have been very positive for the crypto market. But we also say some major correction already in this year. The hardest one was in May if i remember correctly and i was also heavily hit by that as my portfolio is now only worth around 20% of what it was back in the beginning of may 2021 as i mainly investend into new projects and those are usually taking way heavier blows in a bear market than the established ones.
I don't really think though that a massive 1 or 2 year bear market will come soon as it happened back in 2018, i think we are just more advanced and adopted now.
1976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 31, 2021, 03:26:10 PM
Philippe Coutinho, a midfielder who has fallen out of favour at Barcelona, may be heading to Arsenal in the January transfer window in search of some more playing time. In Catalonia, there is a desperate need to eliminate his expensive earnings. As well as Arsenal and Everton, Tottenham and Newcastle are interested in his services. He is already 30 years old. The style of play at Arsenal and the top-four ambitions meet his expectations. Now let's see if Arsenal signs him.

Coutinho is still 29 so i think he has at least 4 or 5 years where he can perform on the highest level if he does not suffer from heavy injuries. I can definitely understand that those english clubs are trying to sign Coutinho, when he played for Liverpool he was one of the best midfielders in the world at that time and therefore Barca payed a huge amount of money (135 M €) back in 2018 to sign him. Sadly he never really managed to reach his best performance in Barca because of different reasons, but he proved that he is still capable of playing extremely well while he was at Bayern Munich for a year where he had great last few months. I think in England he can reach his peak again.
1977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hoddle or day trading on: December 31, 2021, 03:18:57 PM
I have some altcoins I bought at the ICO stage which did x pricee movement and now are dead while others are still at a stable price but I will like to make some profits at this time should I continue holding or start trading them to make instant profits what will be your advice in this situation.

The thing with such decisions is always that in retrospective everything seems so clear and you say "why did i not sell all my coins back in may when they were worth 10x more than they are now" but the problem is you just could not know that the market was about to go down back in may for example. So it's very hard to give recommendations here, what is true though is that in a market that is falling, the small cap gems usually always drop harder than the big ones like Bitcoin or Ethereum and when the market goes up again it takes some time of stabilisation before small cap gems are also rising again. So you need to be patient if you are holding.
1978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: December 31, 2021, 12:05:34 PM

In as much as in a field of play, anyone can win or beat the opponent. I do not see inter eliminating Liverpool. No matter that Inter is sitting on the top of the table, Liverpool will handle them well.
Assuming it's a one leg, maybe Inter can win. But it's home and prayer. So, even if a mistake is done, at the returning match, every mistake will be corrected.
I can’t say that Inter will be an easy opponent for Liverpool, but Liverpool will go further anyway. Inter is a good and disciplined team, but Kolopp's team is faster, and therefore I think they have more chances in attack. Inter may hope to play well defensively, but with Liverpool that rarely works. I even think that Liverpool has a chance to win both matches.

I agree that generally on paper Liverpool is the better team and therefore also the big favorite to advance here, but i don't that the gap between those two teams is that big to be honest, that is is a clear and easy win for Liverpool. Inter is playing a great season so far and at the moment it looks like as they could win the Serie A title again, for the second year in a row now, so they definitely have a lot of momentum and confidence. We also need to consider that the game is still around 6 weeks away, so anything can happen until then, may it be a series of losses for one of the teams or important players that can not participate because of injuries or covid.
1979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Better to Hodl or Stake your Tokens? on: December 31, 2021, 11:58:35 AM
This is a pretty big question that people in this space have to consider. I personally like to do a bit of both in the sense that I stake the relatively stable tokens, and tend to just hodl the more volatile ones.

Hodling your tokens is definitely less risky than staking your tokens, but in all fairness staking doesn’t really seem like all that risky of an endeavor. Especially, when you consider the fact that a big part of staking just involves hodling your tokens. In fact, many of the risks associated with hodling your tokens are the exact same risks you will be exposed to whilst staking them, and that is the risk of downward price fluctuation.

The biggest additional risk stakers take on relative to hodlers is having their tokens locked into a liquidity pool for a certain period of time.. Usually no longer than a month, but for this extra risk stakers are given pretty decent rewards. Besides if you use a liquid staking DApp like pStake you could essentially avoid the risk of having your tokens locked up by simply minting a synthetic version of your staked tokens.

The synthetic tokens you mint can be used on DeFi applications just as you would use any other tokens.

I don't see a risk at all if you decide to stake your tokens? What risk should that be. I mean the only thing that can happen is that a project which you are staking makes a rugpull and you can't access your tokens anymore to sell them off, but even if you hodling that coins it won't make a big difference because if a rug pull happens then everything goes so fast that you still won't be able to sell them off for a reasonable price, even if you are very fast and sell withing minutes. The only reason why people would not stake their tokens for me are that they only have a small amount of them and the gas fee for staking would be higher then the value of the staked tokens, or that staking has impact on the taxes that you need to pay.

https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/4557944/manchester-city-wont-replace-ferran-torres-in-january-window-sources

It is not very good for me to hear that Manchester City won't go for a striker move in January and they will wait for next summer. I was hoping for them to make an offer for the Tottenham's world star striker Harry Kane. But it looks like that they don't want to rush anything now. Actually, I'm aware that they are still doing a great job without him also. But he would be a great addition to the team for the Champions League. They would have increased their chance for the title a lot. However, I don't think also that Tottenham would like to sell him in the middle of the season too.
Antonio Conte doesn't want Harry Kane to leave Tottenham so he will keep because he is the player Conte wants to start his career with Spurs, even though at first Harry Kane wanted to move to manchester city but Conte has convinced him then Harry Kane can stay in a few days season.
Maybe Manchester City don't have a spending list at the moment but I think when the transfer window opens Pep Guardiola will definitely be spending on some players.

I am not surprised at all, that we will probably not see a big transfer in the winter and there are several reasons for that. Contracts expire after the season in July or August and therefore every club that wants to sign a player that has a contract that only runs for 6 more months will just wait until the player is free and therefore no transfer fee is needed anymore. In addition to that players that are bought in the winter are not allowed to play in the european cups if they have already played for another club in that same season and you also just have not as much time to integrate the new player into the team and the system in the winter.
