So still a long wait til POSV  Sad

I doubt it will be implemented at all, frankly. POS yeah, they don't really have a choice about implementing that. But POSV overall just seems like a failed concept that won't come to fruition.

After their little double-spend snafu last night, the devs increased # of conformations to 60. So it is slow now.

I wish BitcoinEXpress would come along and do a few tests on this network.

Is it just me or does connecting to CryptoAVe seem a tad bit slow

Almost like trying to claw through 400 gbs of traffic to connect!

Pro Tip: Upgrade to Cloudfare's enterprise package, you're going to need it.
Anything less is easily by passed by Outflare modded herds.

Thanks for this. I used to be quite the proponent of digitalcoin but cryptoave just boggles the mind.

Bad news. We'll have to remove the USA again. There's just too much abuse/fraud respectively too many non-human/multiple fake listeners to make it worthwhile. A classic case of how a few greedy ones can ruin it for the whole bunch.

Maybe one day we'll add the USA again if we can figure out how to avoid abuse but please don't ask IF or WHEN, it won't change anything. The answer is always: we don't know, and only time will tell.

FAQ: Most of the US callers that don't call any other countries will be left with a small positive balance that they cannot payout now unless they call other countries. Sorry guys, but we won't process your payouts manually. It is difficult to tell who the fraudsters are and we don't want to pay them EVEN MORE, so you can blame it onto them.

Sounds like YOU guys are the scammers and fraudsters. I was close to payout and spent a lot of time there, and this is how you reward your userbase.

"Sorry guys, a couple of people fucked up so we are just going to keep your money too."

Since I have more free time being from being blocked by your service, maybe I should spend it telling everyone exactly what you are.
What this means? I was close to payout and spent a lot of time there

Because after the announcement I just got a payment from them worth of 0.06 BTC
So I doubt that your payment is higher than mine!

How about Idgaf about your payout? Think before YOU speak.

Corrected it for you!

Well as you can see this is your problem you don't fucking care about someone else!
As we do here! That's why US got removed! If someone is doing something wrong instead of telling him to stop all the people try to take advantage of it!

Maybe some of you don't realize the importance of this service but for small miners this is something like mining with 84GH/s! (at current rate and difficulty for Finland)

So yeah we appreciate this service and respect it, while you take it for granted!

Well SURPRISE it's not granted!

You are nothing but a common troll, so glad you like getting into arguments with matters that don't concern you. Welcome to my ignore list.

In my opinion it has proven to be too hard to kickstart existing ponzi rounds. I think the best way would be to advertise well ahead and make sure people are ready for the start of a new round, before people get too scared to lose money because of slow turnover.. Smiley

I have started looking in to USA coin a little better and have smoothed out a few glitches on my end. I posted the source on github since it wasn't previously provided. https://github.com/siameze/patriotcoin I also have a block explorer up for testing and collaboration, please PM for the details. All working fine on Ubuntu.

Will try and look into some android wallet options for you Phoeynix.

1974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ghash.io has voluntary to suspend parts of service! on: January 10, 2014, 01:06:57 AM

Buying time is what they are doing. Nothing more. Until on the 4th of february every private miner gives up on them because they ask valid IDs and who wants to give up on his privacy and trust them with their IDs?

Remember who else had lax security and wanted all your personal info?  Grin
1975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GHash.IO and double-spending against BetCoin Dice on: January 10, 2014, 01:00:09 AM
OK, it's obvious that Bitcoin should be trust-free, but it temporarily isn't. That's life. There should be no wars, but there are, all over the world. What's positive in this whole situation is that it is temporary. They will stop accepting new miners, and they just can't cut off people who simply will not switch from their pool no matter how unreasonable that is. Considering the insane rate GHs being added to a network, and the fact they have 55% of their hashing power from outside miners, they should drop under 40% in one or two difficulty increases, one month at the most. If they would not be under 40% a month from now, then we should be worried cause they are lying right now about being serious and aggressive in reducing their network percentage.

Do you really think they have 55% of outside miners? what makes you so sure about this? if they can add the feature to mine with the ghashes on other pools who tells you they arent doing so with their own gear right now? Imo if people buy the overpriced hashpower nothing ensures that they didnt infiltrate other pools with their mining power already. In the end what we need is transparency and some sort of evidence that they play with open cards.
They ask their users to give out their IDs by the 4th of february... First of all we should all claim to see a valid ID of the owner of cex and himself holding it up to the camera or something like this because right now this is labcoin 2.0 to me (ftwk)

I agree. We will see similar mealy-mouth responses from their management in the future.
1976  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: January 10, 2014, 12:41:06 AM
Interesting statement. However may I remind everyone that it is not a solution that users of CEX.IO are allowed to point the datacenter mining power to other pools. The issue of pools is not the real issue here. Individual miners are not the issue either since they can easily point their hashpower elsewhere if there is a foul play. The hashpower that resides in the control of CEX.IO can be pointed by the operators of that service ultimately to anywhere, and that is the real issue. It can also be someone else than the operators, perhaps someone hijacks that hashing power.

The real problem here is not actually GHash.IO (although I highly dislike that pool due to the fact that they don't publish blocks higher than 250KB) but CEX.IO and the datacenter mining they do. The best long term solution to this is of course to get more competition for CEX.IO.

Most eloquent statement I have read all day in this debacle. Let us hope it isn't too late to save bitcoin. :/
1977  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Not] Good price at CEX.io on: January 10, 2014, 12:36:20 AM
i see.. Cry

This number are bit different than the CEX calculator... Cry Cry

Well i must be luckly, i have 65 gh/s for free at CEX.IO and the rest are my own miners in there pool

People like yourself that have no concept of how things work are what is killing BTC anyway.
1978  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hashblaster - Help! on: January 09, 2014, 05:02:51 PM
Never let the excitement of purchasing equipment or any services undermine due diligence. Always do your homework, then do it again to be sure. This helps avoid these scenarios that are becoming all too common.
1979  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: People mining at GHhash.io: you are about to destroy your own profits. Wake up! on: January 09, 2014, 02:36:46 PM

People actually still use easywallet?  Cheesy

Well that's what I am faced with.

I am attempting to find reliable info for you. I had assumed they went the way of Inputs.io after it was demonstrated how grossly insecure they are.
