Many congratulations Evan. This is a really significant honour both to yourself and to Darkcoin.

An unstable release on main net is unacceptable in my view. Testnet should be scaled up rather than put the network at risk. If this is testing by the devs, it makes me wonder why I pay FIAT to subsidise a portion of testnet to avoid exactly this sort of thing.
I agree and I oppose any of evans comments about using v11 on main net. An unstable release on main net is unacceptable in my view. Testnet should be scaled up rather than put the network at risk. V11 is in a state where it's releasable, the final stage of testing is to have some of the main network begin to update and report back. It actually gives us a much lower risk of breaking something when we do it this way. It's not any of the devs though, but I support it if it's just for testing. please, read your PMs or at least the testing thread on dct why bothering going main net if not everything is working on testnet still? and, recent v10 is broken too, we have to look into the address versions again (not sure what went wrong there), see onyx v3 thread on dct. Can we at least have a basic form of release management where there needs to be consensus between the devs before sanctioning testing on main net? I appreciate there is nothing we can do to stop people compiling and running test releases on main net. I've accidentally run test releases on main net myself just by forgetting testnet=1. Evan...what do you think?

Official: Etherum start on March; IBM adopt etherum-blockchain technology. When a "darkchain"? It's good for smartcontract! I'm guessing they are forking it for their "internet of things" blockchain plans rather than currency purposes.

v11 works on mainnet and if you want to help testing, you could run it too. Just make sure you compile from source and run it in a debugger. (The protocol is backwards compatible so separate releases can survive side-by-side together) Of course, Evan knows the true risks. I can't say I agree with it though. It's essentially zero risk. Fair enough Ed. Apologies for sounding terse and assuming it was testing by devs. Obviously you can't stop people using test releases on main net if they want to. I work in environments with full on release management and obviously not the freedom of open source so tend to be on a hair trigger with this kind of thing!

12 QTs syncing fine. Thanks Evan. Have been a bit worried about this sync sticking.

Whoosh. I feel badly for those caught up with significant investments though.

We should have a day where everyone goes into Cryptsy/Bitfinex/etc and doubles their sell orders price. Would that even work? It's a pretty interesting thought experiment. yes! there's nothing wrong with some voluntary collusion to raise the price, that's fair to do and I like the idea. how about announcing a "suggested price" of 0.02 BTC, or $5.70? that would put Darkcoin ahead of Dogecoin, where it belongs. and it might get us some useful attention. value is whatever we decide it is, and DRK is obviously undervalued. those of us sellers who need the short-term $ and are regularly selling for below what we think our Darkcoins are worth should encourage each other to force the price up to a higher level, which will end up getting us paid more for our coins. how about it? -onetime I'm not selling my DRK EDIT: Actually, with enough support I think this could be quite a fun experiment! Its a reverse PnD!

Just to reiterate what I said about the speed of Darkcoin (even before InstanTX is implemented) being of interest to the gambling industry.
Within weeks of Directbet accepting DRK, the volume of bets made (and paid) in Darkcoin exceeded the volume of bets placed in LTC and all other altcoins.

I bought 3000 DRK at price 0.008 ! What am i do ? Sell them or hold them ? someone please give a prediction of the future of DRK Coin
Declaration of conflict of interest: I'm a modest bagholder and part of the wider Darkcoin team. My view: HOLD! Why? We have six top class developers who use their real identities working to a clear and transparent development plan. InstantTX is a gamechanger that seems of particular interest to the gambling industry. Darksend has huge privacy implications but imho will be a slow grower in terms of adoption. The masternode network offers so much potential for future development its hard to comprehend. In addition, a huge number of previous "rivals" have been revealed to be scams of simple P&Ds. Whilst Darkcoin isn't intended to rival other coins, the pack is thinning out. LTC seems to be on the decline and there is a chance that some of that money will come this way. For me, there are too many positives to ignore at the moment. EDIT: My first masternode was bought at 0.009 per DRK

Total Masternodes: 1811 = 1810 actives + 1 inactives (Last refresh: Fri Jan 09 2015 8:49:08) wtf ... something BIG is coming I think Otoh has been very busy Nope, not me, I haven't put any new ones up since the end of Dec, though I do have enough coins for three or so more when I'm ready, it's someone else who has seen the dark - which is good. Someone turned into the Darkside - the force is strong with him (her). Mmmm, yes! yep, but there are some or one bigger player who destroy every peak above .006, how many coins is he /she willing to loose in this fight? never mind, the end of him is well known. Ha/She can`t shoot in infinite? yep, just coins going from weak hands to proud masternode operators, nothing more... Or this

Ha/She can`t shoot in infinite? As you all have probably worked out already I am not an expert on any kind of markets but this capping at 0.006 makes me think that somebody is trying to prepare to compound the effects of a pump that they are planning or coordinating. Am I talking nonsense?

Im starting to think its only a matter of time till some of the major LTC BTC starts coming this way.. Could get very interesting.
CEX.IO DRK/LTC market has around 10% of DRK volume right now. Things could get very interesting if/when we get listed on a far eastern exchange with high LTC volume. I'm not sure that it depends on that. If people want to sell LTC and buy DRK it is quite easy to send BTC from one exchange to another. It sure would help, but I don't think it depends only on that. I agree with you but I try to avoid transferring BTC between exchanges as much as I can. I'm too used to the speed of DRK. It has made me impatient!
