No phones, no lights, no motorcars, not a single luxury? I think they are talking about Gilligan's Island.
Reddit crowd living in an island with no internet? Right... tell me another joke, please, OP. You're good at this lol It's a line from Weird Al's Amish Paradise lol.

How would you use a 'getaddressbalance'? What are you trying to do?
Start with an empty wallet. I send you 100 BTC to address 'foo'. Then you send somebody else 1 BTC.
Internally, a new change address with 49 bitcoins is created, so getaddressbalance 'foo' would return zero. Would that ever be the right answer?
I think you mean 99 lol.

What we need is an iOS virus that does nothing more than automatically install an over-the-air update that jailbreaks the phone for all the noobs that don't know how. Now all the sudden, every single iphone on the planet is out of warranty, and apple will have to change that policy quick! Seriously though, it's too bad there isn't a simpler way to jailbreak the phones.

Why doesn't someone code up a C++ patch and build firstbits into the satoshi client?
Why don't you do it? Because unfortunately I don't know how to code. Which makes me also ask: why are the firstbits between blockchain.info and firstbits.com different? That seems to be some kind of poor coding. Example addresses: 1FreenodeMrq7gKn91wR4meJKEbi9RNa8M and 1FReeNodEPpTjSZaCdfk6Ai93CHwhcP3iz On firstbits.com, the first address has a firstbits of 1freenodem, and on blockchain.info it has a firstbits of 1freenode. On firstbits.com, the second address has a firstbits of 1freen, and on blockchain.info it has a firstbits of 1freenodep. Both addresses were first seen in block 182600, as a sendmany transaction, and the first example address was the first in the transaction list. Therefore, 1freen should map to the first address, as it does on blockchain.info, and not to the second address, as it does on firstbits.com.

Please can the Bakcoin bullshit be split off and moved to a new thread inside "Alternative Cryptocurrencies", thanks.

The only enterprise class stuff that I know of has a 200-240 volt input range, but not 100-120.

SATA cables are far cheaper than a rigid backplane solution. They also allow flexibility in creating your own layout or putting the stuff in your own case, if that's what you want to do too.

What kind of anti-bot protections does GPUMAX have to prevent automated password retries, if any?

Dunno how much he would charge, but Cablez might make you some. He specializes in wiring harnesses for FPGAs.

I wouldn't call them perfectly normal, but I recall Graet of Ozcoin trying to kill a card that had a dead fan by mining on it, but I don't remember how long it took to die.
I would aim for 60 to 80 degrees, more than that will accelerate the time it takes for them to die.

Not to sound like a huge n00b, but what is a "phase"?
Since power regulators are cheap, they are usually run in parallel instead of using one or two really big ones. The number of parallel regulators is the number of phases. Usually, each regulator chip also has it's own control signal pin from the voltage (PWM) controller, so they can be controlled individually for efficiency.

I generated a 1freenode address (9 characters because the 1 counts as well) and it toook a day or 2 on a single 5870. The time estimate from oclvanitygen was significantly higher than that, so I may have gotten lucky. During that run I actually found 2 matching keys, and one of them happened to be all lowercase too.

Note that technically a "15 amp" circuit should be derated to 80% load for continuous applications in order to remain within code spec and to give yourself a safe margin. Same with 20 amp circuits. If any cords or such things are getting warm, that is not a good thing.

What is an OMM? Escrow was offered by a staff member.
|
|
|
BTW, "analogies" are not "logic". Those two things are separate and distinct. Logic is cool, analogies should only be used to support logic not replace it.
|
|
|
I also wonder why folks don't use escrow, even when handed to them on a silver platter with no fees. Seriously guys, if your cash flow is that bad, you have no business being in business!

Why can't we just ban Bulanula for being a complete jerksociopathically challenged individual?
Not against the forum rules to be a sociopath or a jark. Really? I thought that we couldn't insult other people on this forum. Guess I was wrong. You absolutely can, asshole. You calling me an asshole? Yes ma'am! Freedom of speech!

You can find an adapter, but the one I ordered from Amazon was 20 gauge crap.

Wondering if you have or can get PFC1212DE-PWM fans. I need 6 of them and if you can I'll need 12 of the 130CFM fans also.
If he can't get them, they can be had used for cheap on ebay and other places being sold as HP DL580 fan cartridges/replacements. Note however that those have much thinner wire and actually a slightly lower wattage rating, but the same exact model number. You can also find them with beefed up wire from one or two sellers on eBay, but they are much more expensive (although definitely nicer). The two types appear to work exactly the same, when compared side-by-side (I tried them together).
