2141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trades at $56,000 as daily settlement value hits $31 billion on: October 13, 2021, 07:54:24 AM
When was October declared a bearish month? I know the media says September is always traditionally a poor month for performance, but that just makes October a month for recovery as we're seeing now.

Fine, BTC couldn't keep 57k but it's holding very well above 55k now. Alts not doing so great, this is where BTC showing its muscles to the audience Wink

I don’t know why the OP says that but historically October is a bullish month for bitcoin when in a bull (post halving) year. In fact Q4 is very bullish the year after the halving. I guess noobs gonna noob, dumb OP.

2143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Movies. on: October 12, 2021, 07:32:10 PM
It’s becoming more & more common that bitcoin is briefly mentioned in movies. It’s obviously a good thing for adoption as bitcoin grows & becomes more & more mainstream.

2144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do many mainstream economists always oppose Bitcoin? on: October 11, 2021, 11:54:09 AM
They don’t like change, they don’t like innovation & people upsetting their apple cart. It’s all a moot point any because they won’t have a choice other than to shut up & accept they were wrong soon any way.

Many of them are obsessed with bitcoin & tweet negatively about it regularly. Peter Schiff is one of the worst.
2145  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don't trust anti-viruses for your security on: October 11, 2021, 11:42:06 AM
Yeah I totally agree with the OP, I am my own anti virus. This sounds a little bit like trusting the novel covid vaccine to be good for you. I’d rather trust myself to be honest, I can manage my own computer. I don’t visit any bogus websites or download any shady files.

I do have Windows Defender running in the background admittedly but I disabled Mcafee antivirus.
2146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Discussion! Don't BUY FAKE! "wallet.dat" files with lost passwords. on: October 08, 2021, 02:20:04 PM
If something seems too good to be true it usually is. Don’t part with your hard earned money & get scammed. Nobody is going to sell a working (with password) wallet.dat to you for less than the value of the bitcoin in it, why would they.

Stay smart!
2147  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your opinion on recent bull market, will it be over soon? on: October 08, 2021, 02:16:58 PM
We have 2-3 months still to go, we haven’t even had a real blow off top yet so there’s still definitely time to go in this bull run. $100,000 per coin still in play this year.
2148  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are vaccines save for children on: October 08, 2021, 01:20:20 PM
Covid has very, very, very low risk for young children. I don’t have kids but if I did there is no way I would be vaccinating them with this untested, unproven poison. It’s a trial vaccine until 2023, I would advise you to not let your kids take this jab.
2149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: satoshi symbol on: October 08, 2021, 01:10:17 PM
I don’t know if it’s because I’m old school & have been involved & invested in bitcoin for a long time but I don’t like the term satoshi being used. I prefer just to say 0.001BTC or whatever, if you know what I mean. Maybe I’ll come round to it but it’s not for me atm.
2150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT for money laundering? on: October 08, 2021, 11:35:19 AM
NFT’s are a scam mostly in my opinion. People sell NFT’s to themselves using multiple seller accounts. They artificially inflate the price of their NFT by selling it to themselves for a lot of money. They then re-list the NFT & hope some rich idiot falls for it & buys it.

I mean come on, who wants to pay several hundred thousand $ for an image. It’s not art, it’s a scam.
2151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Welcome to Uptoberfest on: October 08, 2021, 10:56:11 AM
Uptoberfest haha, I love it. The month has certainly started well & delivering on the promise of the 2nd leg of this bull run by the likes of Plan B. New ath is expected this month & beyond. $100,000 is still on the cards by tge end of the year too. Good luck everybody.
2152  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should lady make the move first? on: October 08, 2021, 10:53:10 AM
Is it wrong for a lady to walk down to a man to tell him how much she love him. And doing this may have same feeling for her. Do you think for a lady to make the move first?

It’s the 21st century, there are no rules on this any more. If you like somebody go & tell them. Don’t be afraid of rejection. If you don’t put yourself out there you risk suffering from regret. Life is short, live it to the fullest in all ways.
2153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to store 1 Million $ to Stable coin on: October 08, 2021, 10:49:08 AM
If I had that kind of money in crypto I would stake it. Like cardano stacking is good option. 5% yearly is good money when you have 1mil.

Yeah that’s not a good idea, you are effectively handing over control of your crypto for a supposedly promised 5% per year? What happens if the entity controlling your crypto gets hacked or goes bust? I prefer to control my own private keys thanks.

To stay on topic, it’s fine to convert to stablecoin short term but due to regulations especially in the US, I wouldn’t recommend it. USDT is being chased down by the FED.
2154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most performing altcoin for October on: October 06, 2021, 08:34:35 PM
This month of October has started on a very remarkable note for the entire cryptocurrency market with ethereum almost recovering back to $4500 and Bitcoin seating above $51k price which is a good sign that October is going to be a remarkable month in the prices of most crypto coins, I will like to see your predictions on altcoins market for October which altcoin do you have faith in and what are the indices that will make that happen?

SHIB is doing really well, I think it definitely makes sense to buy some. We’re up a lot over recent days. Obviously hold a bitcoin position, it’s negligent not to.
2155  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you save your money? on: October 06, 2021, 06:37:40 PM
Gold is a crap investment OP, it’s barely moved up in 15-20 years. It’s a dead boomer investment. Crypto is the future, you will make so much more money by buying & holding bitcoin or eth for 10 years than if you buy gold.
2156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the hedge against inflation on: October 06, 2021, 06:24:15 PM
Looking like a damn good hedge against inflation in 2021 & we still have Q4 of the bull run to come. Today has been a great day for bitcoin, up 10% with more to come I think before New Year.

2157  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is day trading? on: October 06, 2021, 06:13:58 PM
Day trading is the best way to lose everything. Nobody can guarantee they know how to time the market so the best strategy is simply to buy & HODL. Patience is key in crypto, just DCA (dollar cost average buy) & get on with your normal life. In some years to come you will make big profits.
2158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future on: October 05, 2021, 02:25:14 PM
Being engrossed in the present, I think a lot have failed and refused to envisaged, or envision the future such as viz ;

•Bitcoin replacing Banks.
•Robotics replacing Man-power.
•Uber replacing Taxi's.
•Amazon replacing Bookstores.
•AirBnB replacing Hotels.
I feel they simply don't like all of this and are intimidated by the future, do you think so likewise ?

Bitcoin is the future of money & there’s nothing banks or governments can do about it. They either adapt & accept bitcoin or get left behind & become obsolete.
2159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get a $0.20 per gallon discount on petrol when paying with Bitcoin. on: October 05, 2021, 01:39:43 PM
I’m not sure how many people from El Salvador use the forum but I’m guessing not that many. I think Bukeke is a legend though & his forward thinking & risk taking is going to be really good for getting the people of El Salvador out of poverty. People doubt him but I think he will go down in history as one of the best South American presidents ever.
2160  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's makes you exercise on: October 05, 2021, 12:25:37 PM
I took up walking during the restrictions & lockdowns caused by covid. I feel a bit fitter but it’s more more good mental health than being super fit. I’m no athlete to put it mildly Cheesy
