So I'm thinking of putting in some effort.

Before that:

WTB 100k SPR
100K is really a huge amount,it takes 11 days to mine.
You have a large appetite.  Grin

22Gh total hashrate!

Would cost you around 15BTC to get that sort of hash for 11days.

15BTC would only buy you around 65,000SPR at 0.00022 (If you could buy that amount at that price)

Good luck, coins Tongue
Forget about that,I don't think that  guy really wants to buy . Grin

coins101 will buy if he thinks something is worth buying.

Haven't heard from Evan and team in a while. Nothing happening on testnet right? Any updates on development timeline for next release?
Yeah, OK, a bit of a holiday break is well deserved Grin

Evan doesn't rest.  Wink

Indeed. There was some GitHub action last night Wink  It would be lovely to leave 2014 with a blast eh?

I spotted that too Cheesy

Does anyone know any reputable diamond dealers (no, not diamond geezers, I know plenty of those), especially small scale wholesale?

(just on the off chance, as you lot seem to be all over the world)

Yes, based in London.  Any use?

If you know them well enough, can you ask them if they, the Royal they as in as an industry, would consider diamonds as an asset backed reserve for DRK?

Presumably they already have security and just need to figure out a charging structure.

Diamonds usually just sit around for a while anyway as the supply is tightly controlled to keep prices high and stable.

I don't know how VAT works across borders and if that needs to be taken into account.

That's a very interesting thought.

The person who I had in mind has been a family friend for 40+ years but I wouldn't feel comfortable talking to him about this.

I do however know somebody else who is a little less set in their ways and also a reputable private dealer.  I'm seeing them in the new year and I'll see what their reaction is.

Still dumping?

No big sells since last night but big dumps before then.

The trolls have been quiet for a week or so and now they return.  Something positive is brewing.
2168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: December 23, 2014, 07:34:44 AM
Am I late for SPR??
The nethashrate seems a little bit high for solo mining.

Could get a lot harder once the big farms are pointed in this direction, I'd say it's worth giving it a go :-)
SpreadCoin is worth anyone mining or buying right now Smiley This is gonna be the next big coin I'm telling everyone Smiley

How can you say this on the same page that you have posted saying that you don't know what the plans for this coin are?!

That's some serious Spread!

coins101 doesn't spread himself thinly either...

I'd pay 22.5BTC to have coins on my team.  He kept DRK on the straight and narrow for a fair time.  Either that or he just posted on the thread a lot.  Its hard to tell.  Grin

EDIT:  There aren't enough on Bittrex for that buy.

2171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: December 22, 2014, 06:35:02 PM

2173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: December 22, 2014, 05:48:24 PM
Alright, I really don't want to sell any of my SPR, but I understand the value of a fair distribution, especially to those of you who also are in on DRK.  As such, I've put 10k up for sale on Bittrex at a fair price.  First come, first serve and I sure as hell am not going to be selling any for a long ass time after this.

Thank you!

Goddam BTC confirmation times...

Roll Eyes

Solomining Spreadheads aren't going to sell their beloved SPR on the cheap to a pack of sharks like you lot. Put your buywalls on bittrex and allcrypt like the rest, eh?

 Grin

Haven't you noticed the speculative buys being posted today?

I'd say that's only helping the value of your money bags. You need the odd shark around here to keep things in order.

There is more to come. Just need these bag holders to see the value in releasing some of their stash.

As they say, a lot of not much is, err, not much.

I've got loads of not much.

Thats a reasonable point.  I'll take a look at bittrex and see whats involved in registering.

If this goes on Cryptsy or cex.io I'm in.

Hi,

I don't wish to step on coins101's toes but I am not verified at any of the exchanges and don't intend to go through those processes again either.  There are only so many unknown companies I am willing to send copies of my passport etc to!

I am interested in buying 5k SPR.  Do get in touch with an offer if you are interested.

Thanks,

Dan

Look at that, a few minutes in and I'm already having an impact  Grin

I got some cheap DRK thanks to you so I'm coming along for the ride  Kiss

Cannot understand why people are selling at these levels, makes no sense at all....

Demand is down right now, people have been buying XPY, Ripple, and Stellar over the past week.

And Spreadcoinz  Grin

I have optimized synchronization code, next version will sync much faster.

DarkCoin code is pretty complicated, sometimes for no reason (if you are interested I can point you to examples). I want to make simpler and cleaner implementation which is easier to understand and easier to done right. I will prioritize instant transactions over anonymity since they are simpler to implement and I think they are useful for more people than DarkSend.
After new year I will have hell of a lot of free time, so I hope in the second half of January we will have some code for public testing, maybe sooner.
Not even worried about it Mr. Spread Smiley You know what you are doing and you obviously have a great plan for this coin so I'm happy you touched base with the community and what you have been up to and totally look forward to seeing what comes out next my friend Smiley Cheers

Your boundless enthusiasm is interesting but can you give a single reason why an investor would be sensible to invest in this coin?

Mr Spread, as I have said before, has proven himself to be a very capable developer.  We now know that ITX has been prioritized above anonymity which is a pretty decent decision.  Apart from that, what should make me scuttle to the exchange with my little bag of BTC and buy Spreadcoin?

In reference to the earlier mining conversation, I easily get 2.5Mhs out of my 290x mining Darkcoin but only the provided GPU miner seems to work and I can only get 1Mhs out of it regardless of settings.
