2161  Economy / Speculation / Re: The calm before the storm? on: October 04, 2021, 07:28:06 PM
We’re flirting with 50k right now, we seem to have absorbed & recovered from all the FUD they can throw at us. Whales have been silently accumulating for months now, there is going to be a supply shock soon & we are going to moon.
2162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6000 coinbase clients hacked on: October 04, 2021, 07:20:12 PM
Yet another reason why KYC is a bad thing. Damn, I wish I didn’t sign up to so many exchanges in the past. Obviously leaving a significant amount of bitcoin on an exchange is a bad idea but we shouldn’t have to worry about our personal details being stolen.
2163  Other / Off-topic / Re: Rolex watches for investment on: October 01, 2021, 06:29:28 PM
They’re a good investment as in they hold a lot of their value. I wouldn’t want to try & get involved in actively trading them though. There’s also a lot of fakes around too so it’s a risk if you’re buying from non-official sources.

You’re on a bitcoin forum bro, just do the obvious, buy & hodl bitcoin.
2164  Other / Off-topic / Re: Toughts about phones becoming too good? on: October 01, 2021, 12:03:47 PM
I’ve got an iPhone 13 Pro Max & I think it’s awesome. I mean it depends on your age, if somebody is 80 years old they maybe don’t need to keep up with the latest tech. I’ve had an iPhone dating all the way back to iPhone 3. I wouldn’t change now.
2165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cripto and Sports on: October 01, 2021, 11:02:27 AM
A number of sports stars were also interested in Crypto lately, such as Tennis Star Naomi Osaka openly interested in Dogecoin. The famous soccer player, Lionel Messi also received a part of his salary in the form of Crypto, namely the PSG Fansclub token. Previously, the NFL star Russel Okung also chose to receive half his salary at Bitcoin.

What do you think ?

It’s a natural progression for crypto from a small niche online market to gaining mainstream adoption. We’re not there yet but things are looking good. You will see more & more public figures coming on board over the next couple years.
2166  Other / Off-topic / Re: What music do you like? on: October 01, 2021, 09:55:54 AM
Not a big music fan to be honest, I dunno why but I’ve never really been that much into music. When I was growing up I liked Eminem & 50 Cent but as I’ve got older, even in the car I don’t often play music.

Merit will come in time if you’re a good, interesting, helpful poster. Don’t concern yourself with getting Merit. Just get familiar with the different sections of the forum & get involved in discussion. This is a great forum, full of good advice & information. Enjoy yourself & welcome.
2168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Past three months bitcoin journey on: September 30, 2021, 04:01:04 PM
Nice DCA strategy OP, slow & steady wins the race Smiley
A much better strategy than being a moron gambling with leverage. It might not feel a lot to you at the moment but keep going. I don’t know how old you are but this type of long term savings plan with bitcoin will do very well for you in 10-20 years.

2169  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about real estate? on: September 30, 2021, 03:50:46 PM
Mortgages are expensive & young people struggle to save the deposit required to buy their first home. If you’re in a healthy position & you’re able to buy a load of properties & rent them out, becoming a landlord then sure, it’s a great investment, easy income.
2170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't speculation and volatility a problem for Bitcoin? on: September 30, 2021, 03:08:40 PM
Speculation & volatility is an opportunity whilst it’s still here & the market is young. We seem to be following 4 year cycles still so it’s obviously not a bad thing to buy what you can in the bear market & then sell in the bull.
This won’t last forever though, as time goes on & bitcoin becomes more mainstream & widely adopted there will be far less volatility.
2171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese are turning towards other means of trading on: September 30, 2021, 01:09:58 PM
A recent article reported that China's outlawing of crypto transactions backfires: more Chinese are turning to underground projects and decentralized exchanges without the CCP's control. Do you see global implications for the crypto market?

No, to be honest there’s nothing they can do unless they want to go kicking doors down to check on people. People in China have been using VPN’s & Tor to circumvent their communist ways for many years.
2172  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lets talk about cars. What do you dive? on: September 30, 2021, 12:35:08 PM
I drive a Nissan Navara, it’s not a sports car but it’s useful for my work. Super good in the snow too, I do like big cars. Even if I was super rich I’d still have a large car, Mercedes G Wagon or something.
2173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advise on Bitcoin Ban/Regulation to the US government on: September 30, 2021, 12:28:02 PM
They’re scared, very scared. Bitcoin can’t be banned, as Elon Musk said the other day, all governments can do is slow or suppress the growth of bitcoin. They can’t ban it, they can only slow it down.

I wouldn’t worry too much about regulation. If you’re a long term investor it is all just noise. At some stage they are all going to have to bend the knee to the king bitcoin.
2174  Other / Off-topic / Re: Online game addiction on: September 30, 2021, 12:23:22 PM
It’s a normal thing for a kid that age, 15 is young man, he will grow out of it. At some point he’s going to discover bars & women so don’t be too hard on him. It’s not unusual for a 15 year old to be really obsessed with gaming.
2175  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2 years cigarette free on: September 28, 2021, 09:45:27 PM
I quit 2 years ago and I never felt better. I know it sounds strange but I read a book and I it was easy to quit. I strongly encourage everyone to do so because they can but they dont know that.

Congratulations to you, a very, very good life choice. I’m sure you are well aware of the long term risks of smoking. You’ve added years to your life probably by quitting, plus you won’t stink of smoke any more too Cheesy
2176  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tesla Cybertruck on: September 28, 2021, 09:32:14 PM
They are really cool but you’ve got to be a pretty quirky guy to pull it off. I don’t think it’d suit me & I also prefer diesel cars. Something a little beta male about electric cars.

2177  Other / Off-topic / Re: CAMPING? on: September 28, 2021, 09:07:33 PM
RV would be more comfy, but tents leave the best memories and fun

True, can’t beat an evening drinking around a camp fire. I suppose it depends what the weather is like doesn’t it. I wouldn’t want to be sleeping in a tent in winter Smiley
2178  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is skipping meal a bad habit? on: September 28, 2021, 04:31:05 PM
I don’t think it’s that bad as long as the other meals you have are healthy & you look after yourself. Don’t smoke & drink lots of water & you should be OK.
2179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: new to bitcoin, don't know how to use on: September 27, 2021, 01:55:57 PM
How far along in the process are you? Do you have a bitcoin wallet yet?

The basic process is that you would set up a bitcoin wallet and provide one of your addresses to the gambling site, which would then transfer your winnings to that address. Once the bitcoin are in your wallet, you can either spend them with any merchant who accepts bitcoin, or you can trade them for fiat such as USD using an online exchange or trading directly with another person.

This site would be a good place to start to get some more info: https://learnmeabitcoin.com/beginners/

This is good advice.

OP, if you receive any unsolicited private messages from people offering to ‘help’ then ignore them. They are most likely scammers, trying to deceive you to possibly steal your funds.
2180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All crypto declared illegal in China!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: September 27, 2021, 01:50:44 PM
Let’s try & forget about China shall we. They’re effectively excluding themselves from the future of finance.
Hopefully in the future China’s mood swings don’t affect the price.
