2161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Crypto bans are temporary, we are on the right side of history. on: July 15, 2021, 10:25:13 AM
You know the government seems to be upset with anything there can't put under their control and would want to kick against it, but with time it's actually going to be a history because what must be must be, the ban some countries lay on bitcoin isn't stopping it's growth, it is a sign that bitcoin is gaining more traction across countries and soon it will be accepted globally, it's just a matters of time everything will turn out perfectly. Soon the government will get to see the importance of crypto to it's economy
Probaby the reason for most of their banning is that crypto can't be controlled fully by them not like fiat which is controllable by them. I'm afraid some big countries are banning crypto for good so they won't  experience how crypto will improve their country's economy.

But despite of the fud and negative news about crypto, it is always undeniable that even if most of the countries will start to ban crypto, its growth and development cannot be stop anymore. Smart people have known already the potentials of crypto and if bigger community will come to accept crypto, more likely its adoption will come to possiblity in the nearest time possible.
2162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How crypto currency change your Life? on: July 15, 2021, 09:51:54 AM
Cryptocurrency proved me that not every candy in bright wrapping taste good, or even could be bitter. I cant say that cryptocurrency changed my life entirely or turned it 180 degrees. But it made me think more about diversifying risks, taught me that money should work and not just be kept in the bank account. Lastly, cryptocurrency taught me patience. I have learned that I must make decisions carefully, dont rush and seeing total balance decrease is not always a catastrophe.
We may thought that crypto gives us huge profits in just a quick time but the process is definitely tough and risky. So it's not really a very easy thing but rather needs more hardwork and patience.

My life before was full of struggles due to lack of finances but when i get to know crypto, things started to get better. I can now buy and pay all those things i needed the most and even satisfy myself with my wants. But i admit, the process is really hard and tough. So i learned to be more careful with my expenses and started to diversify my investments. I know in due time, with my good strategy and enhanced skills in crypto, i will be more successful than what i am today.
2163  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency is the biggest investment opportunity in the future on: July 14, 2021, 10:42:11 PM
Biggest opportunity??
A life changing investment??
The currency of the future?

Say all the good things about it already Smiley. As for me, I'm just happy that I involved myself into this revolution of the future. I'm just glad that I learned cryptocurrency way back in 2017. I'm not good in technical aspects of it but at least I know the basics. I see crypto as a life changer for me because it really changed my life and my way of thinking in life. From 8-5 employee back in 2017 to a freelance where I can work whenever I want to. Investing in crypto is for me the best decision that I've made in my whole life.
This is no surprising as bitcoin continue to conquer not just the investment industry but slowly taking the  adoption as a financial system. I'm also thankful that i have come to this point with bitcoin that continue to give me good income so i can sustain all my basic necessities in life.

With the bear market that we have right now, crypto is still the perfect choice for investment as it gives us great opportunities to start buying and hodl for a longer term. Be it short term or long term, bitcoin will always be profitable as long as we never end up on panic selling.
2164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is heartbreaking on: July 14, 2021, 10:00:41 PM
It is not surprising at all to see this proliferation of meme coins. There are some decent coins which are being overlooked because of this doggy coin hype. I don't know why they list all these joke coins when there are serious projects having to wait a long time to get on CoinMarketCap. These pump and dump scams should have a lower priority because we don't know how long they will last and almost nobody is trading them.
Meme coins have been rampant these past few days but since we all know already how its future will be so there's no need to overthink about it and be bothered. Meme coins will always be good just for short term and after it pump, most of them cannot sustain to pump again so eventually, most of them end up worthless coins.

Just wait for a little time dude and soon you will see strong projects that will go out from its comfort zone. If there is a big community that will support it, then it will surely stay and create a very good value.
2165  Economy / Economics / Re: Which cryptocurrency do you decide to invest in for the long-term? on: July 14, 2021, 09:40:21 PM
I am a newbie who has just entered the currency circle, and I am very interested in the crypto market.
I want to try to buy some coins, but now I lack the analysis and judgment of the crypto market. Which cryptocurrency is more valuable and has appreciation potential?

Obviously, most of the people here would advice you to go straight for bitcoin or any other well established altcoins out there. Also, I would suggest investing just a little, let's say about 10% to 15% of your total capital just so you can have a good feel about how this industry works first. It would also be a great thing if you would consider prioritizing on knowledge and wisdom investment(related to this industry and how it works along with basic trading fundamentals). Because that would give you a huge advantage over the huge number of people who skip this part.
Of course its the most basic thing to do before you decide into investing. You probably won't know how the market moves and how to invest or even trade if you don't make any researches at first and come up with good analysis.

With coins to invest, you know you have to work it on your own. You can't just believe what mostly are telling you to do. Have your own decision and stand for it. There will be consequences at first but later on, you will start to learn the lessons on your own. Bitcoin and ethereum will be the top choices for the people but you also need to research on it and weigh things out.
2166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I rather stay hungry than sell my Bitcoin on: July 14, 2021, 09:17:34 PM
stay hungry instead of selling your Bitcoins I think it's too stupid
I mean this, with a hungry stomach can you think clearly

I prefer to sell my Bitcoin little by little so that my stomach is full and I can search for Bitcoin even harder
With a full stomach, positive thoughts will be around you and make you more productive at work and make money or bitcoin
Yes, store bitcoin and finally lie down in the cold underground in hunger, it's an act of people with low intelligence, i don't want to say too many bad things about this but a slap will make other people more conscious about their actions and I see that a lot of people here helped wake him up with somewhat harsh words. The time when the body needs to eat and wants to eat, we need to meet it to be able to last longer, sacrificing a few bitcoin is not too much, health is the most valuable platform to get more bitcoin
Bitcoin is too precious for us that we can't let them suddenly gone in our own pocket but if its already between life and death, then i would rather sell some of my coins so i can live my life to the fullest.

I know the feeling of hodling your bitcoin for so long waiting for the perfect price to sell but its not a wise idea too to make your health at stake while following your goals in life. Remember, money will be worthless if your not also physically and mentally healthy. So learn to live with balance.
2167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why some are still loosing money in crypto on: July 13, 2021, 10:05:10 PM
There is not enough educational resources out there for investing in cyrptocurrency. There is a ton of information out there on getting started in other sectors of the economy but cryptocurrency is still under developed at least from a educational view point. If we could increase the education to newbies they would not take as many blind risks as they do now.
Even without education, a good research from google through demos and information can make you a knowledgeable investor but losing is still inevitable. You will only reduced losses in crypto from your personal experiences because eventually, you will be wiser from learning all the mistakes that you committed.

I think losses will always be a part of crypto because even how good you are in investing or trading, you are not going to make profits all the time. There are times you will get lose when you see things that happen unexpectedly and won't follow through your plans. But at least you still manage to maximize your profits rather than making losses through the test of time.
2168  Economy / Economics / Re: Can cryptocurrencies replace fiat currencies on: July 13, 2021, 09:42:05 PM
will cryptocurrency be used in the world instead of fiat currency?
It is already used. But there's no need to think of it kicking out fiat, I guess fiat is here to stay and so bitcoin does. The government that sees good alternative for bitcoin and will allow its co-existence with fiat, those countries will do better.
And how we're wishing that most countries are going to be the same as El Salvador, they got two currencies and one of it is bitcoin.
Bitcoin is already used but in limited areas. And some of the countries had banned it so bitcoin will only be used as more of an investment rather than a currency. But if government changes their mind and open their doors for bitcoin in the future, then probably bitcoin will be widely used as a currency but not to replace fiat, but as another option to it. I think fiat will stay forever and bitcoin might do the same too once its adoption will grow that will end into its people's acceptance.
2169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you worry about not being able to convert BTC to fiat in future on: July 12, 2021, 09:59:55 PM
It was one of my concern back when I was a newbie but it doesn't bother me now.
I know that there would always be a way for us to convert it if it isn't through trading site we could always do it P2P.
And before we run out of option on converting our crypto into Fiat then the price would surely be so low.
As long as Bitcoin is existing there is no cause to worry about not exchanging your coin to fiat, perhaps if Bitcoin is not accepted in place of fiat for payment of goods and services there are other avenues or ways to be utilized e.g exchanging Bitcoin to PayPal or Skrill and other digital currencies which are acceptable for procurement of goods thus there are many means or ways of exchanging Bitcoin without any obstacle this will even become more popular with the growing adoption of Bitcoin.
The adoption of crypto is becoming more attainable by now since we all know that bigger companies and institutions are now opening their doors into bitcoin. So the longer the year, the more possibilities that bitcoin will already be accepted as an option to fiat and can purchase already the goods and services we need. And as long as bitcoin exists and its demand is growing, then no need to worry in the future.
2170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investment and loss anticipation on: July 12, 2021, 09:42:08 PM
The step is to be wary about the risk and everything can go sideways. You need to have that anticipation so you're prepared for what's coming. Every time you invest, you're making sure that there's a possible big return because it's your money that's being staked in investing. But that's the other thing and you don't expect a lot as much as you can and that depends on the cryptocurrencies that you're investing and as well as the amount that you're investing.
Once you invest in crypto, never expect profits but prepare for your losses. The risk is very high so once you decide to take the risk, then be ready for the consequences.

But investing in crypto is also worth the risk. You will not find the profits you made in crypto compared to other investments and all of these will happen in the short term. As long as you know you are on the right track and you know how to manage your coins well, then you will never be at loss.
2171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 12, 2021, 09:12:09 PM
The biggest problem Bucks had was confidence, they lacked confidence a lot for some reason on the first two games and they weren't sure how to play, even though Giannis scored a lot and all,

Going against a big crowd on Game 1 and 2, maybe Bucks was got intimidated and the way the Suns are playing, they really surprised with their good ball rotation.

But I'm not taking that as a reason why the Bucks lose on both games. On the other hand, Phoenix is also new to the Finals scene so there should be no such thing as pressure on that game. The suns just really played well.

Good thing that Bucks did the same and Giannis is putting seriously all his best on every game, like what he did since the start of the playoffs. I hope the same confidence by his teammates will be seen next game.

I guess this series will go down in 7 games and it will be a great game 7 that we are going to witness. Giannis has now become the most consistent in the playoffs, the only reason why the Bucks became an underdog is because of Giannis health, but now that he is 100% healthy (no need to explain), I believe the Bucks would be able to come back and will not give CP3 his first championship.
2172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 09, 2021, 09:38:12 PM
how true that Robert bolic is being recruited san, Miguel Beerman, I'm just curious about the trades that SMB corp is doing they want to be champions every season for the PBA? and what will be the team will receive in exchange for that player, I hope the PBA will change this kind of trade were in one team is stacking star players and the other team with bench players.

That's the rumors and the blockbuster trade starts with a rumor lol, so I believe that there is some truth on this.

Alex Cabagnot and Chris Ross in exchange for Greg Slaughter and Robert Bolick, is it fair? IMO, no it is not but NorthPort is always been the farm team of SMB Group of companies so I will not be surprised if one day I would wake up hearing this news.

Too many issues that the PBA is facing at the moment and it seems that they are dragging its feet underground and they don't seem to care about their supporters.

Chris Ross (36 years old) and Alex Cabagnot (38 years old), that factor alone would tell that this trade is not fair, but as you said, since North Port is a farm team, this could happen anytime. They already sent C. stand to BGSM and now Greg to SMB, we know it's own by one company.
2173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the martingale system sucks! (doubling down on losses) on: July 09, 2021, 04:07:59 PM
Oh well, its  case to case in anyhow, martingale system though mostly lead gamblers to lose..

100%

If this is 100% correct, then why it's still a very popular method, and why gamblers still want to experiment with this. We all use this method, right? Based on my personal experience, there are times that it's working, but most of the time it's not, so I must say you need good timing to make this method effective, otherwise, you'll easily lose your entire bankroll.
2174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most profitable gambling strategies, what are they? on: July 09, 2021, 03:32:53 PM
I do believe that there is no such single strategy that will going to be most efficient and effective strategy for a long-term gambling activities.

I will disagree with this, if we believe that there are gamblers who make a living in gambling, then we should believe that there's a certain strategy that makes them profitable, your statement would only be true if we are talking of gambling games with a house edge. Games like sports betting, poker, and other card games where you can use your skills, I think one can be successful even in the long run.
2175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 09, 2021, 02:51:26 PM

My decision with betting in game 3 is very difficult for me there is a thing that keeps saying that Milwaukee Bucks will win this game 3 and because this is their home court pretty sure there are advantages for the Bucks that the bookies are Seeing.

If we think of a good NBA Finals, it should not be a sweep for the Suns even if they'll win the series. I'm thinking, the best spot we got is betting on the Bucks in game 3 because as what the history said, no NBA team has come back from 0-3 deficit, so Bucks would not allow that to happen and hopefully they'll get some help from the refs too.

This is the first NBA finals that is outside the bubble in the pandemic, as much as possible the league would want this to be an exciting one, and Bucks losing in a 4-0 series is not exciting at all. So let's assume or expect that the Suns will bounce back in game 3 and win the game. IMO, this series will end in 6 or 7, as to the winner, not sure what team.

I also don't believe that the Suns will sweep the Bucks, that's unlikely to happen although it's likely that the Suns will win the series. Home court advantage will be very vital to their advantage and I can see the Bucks doing that in games 3 and 4. The bucks are now -4, I'm pretty sure there's a lot of Suns bettors out of them willing to bet on the Suns to win straight up.

The news that we are waiting for is here.

With 95 percent of PBA's family vaccinated as of last week, this news of the season opening is very much expected by Filipino basketball fanatics.

Quote
PBA gets IATF approval to start 2021 season on July 16 at Ynares Pasig

https://www.espn.com/basketball/pba/story/_/id/31786764/pba-gets-green-light-open-2021-season-july-16

Very positive news, this is the biggest news so far and I'm happy with that.

The PBA will start 1 week from now, let's start saving the bankroll for PBA betting, lol..

Thanks for sharing this news, it made me happy and sure others who will read this.
2178  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin be infinite? on: July 08, 2021, 09:59:59 PM
i feel what you say is correct because the price of BTC will keep increasing over time and maybe in the future the value of 1 BTC will be a value of infinity but if you are saying the supply of BTC is infinite then we have to review the value of BTC in the future will be like?.
I think everything what we have at the moment might only vanish in the end or it will keep fourishing until its value becomes very high already. The value of bitcoin will keep in surging because as every year comes, the demand for bitcoin becomes excessive too but i don't think its supply will reach into infinity as everything will have no clear destination in the end. We'll know then when we will reach that point.
2179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your thoughts for half year on: July 08, 2021, 09:43:10 PM
movement is not very clear, but is starting to show price stability and market volatility. There is still negative news that makes investors hold back on re-entering the crypto world, especially bitcoin. They are still waiting for good news.
Just like what we had at the previous years, the next six months will be very exciting because this is the time where mostly bullish season starts to appear. Of course pump and dump are inevitable but if there will always be positive news that come in the market, then the result will be a positive market value too.

The crypto market might not be stable these days but if positive news can manipulate the market, then we will likely to see another bullish season at the end of the year.
2180  Economy / Economics / Re: The first rule of investing is saving on: July 08, 2021, 09:22:33 PM
I especially like this point
Quote
- If you have credits unpaid (other than mortgages or other asset backed credits), you pay those first because they charge you a lot.
That is so true! I know quite a few so-called investors that lent money and are deep in debts, but they constantly buy stocks and imagine that soon they'll become millionaires and pay everything off.

That is the wrong kind of thinking, imo. To make money first one needs to do is at least reach point zero, where at least you don't owe anyone and can safely live off your stable income. Then everything else should come, otherwise not only you lose on those %, but also can't think broad, because the debts will be on the mind. Such people will always look for fast and easy money, while the key to a good investment strategy is patience.
Exactly. You can't start saving if you are still trapped thinking how to pay your debts. So better pay your debts first so you will have peace of mind and from there, you can start saving for your future retirement.

I know this might be easy to say but quite hard to do. I have been here so i know exactly the feeling. But if you have the positive mindset and you know exactly how to budget your funds, then you can do saving at the end of the day.
