2181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: potential moonshots on: February 19, 2022, 08:49:25 AM
Small projects will usually yield high returns, even though the risks are unpredictable. I usually prefer trending memes for that, and taking immediate advantage of the first hype, meme coins are cheap coins that move very fast.

Right, investing in new and low-priced coins is more profitable than investing in old coins, the easiest way to make big profits on meme coins is to invest with small values, for example we buy 30 meme coins and the maximum for 1 coin is $ 10, and I have prove september to november bought around 35 meme coins and their value is now over $870 or almost 3x.

There's no guarantee at all, it's imperative that you look at the quality of the project than just following a fixed basis on your investment. DYOR, it's very important before investing as that would give you a great look of the potential of coins whether it's old or new.
2182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine Just Legalized Bitcoin on: February 19, 2022, 08:13:30 AM
It doesn't change anything for the citizens since it wasn't illegal in the first place. As mentioned in the article, people are already using it. Do I need to remind you that we don't need any approval from any government to use Bitcoin? Who cares if Ukraine decided to make it illegal? Surely not the Ukrainians themselves.

It only helps companies to make sure that they are operating in a recognized and supervised environment and that they won't get a surprise a day with someone telling them "you have to close the doors tomorrow".

Not really a new per se, or I mean not an important one. There are like 300 countries worldwide so expect to see a few hundred appearing from time to time.

I too think there is no relation between Russia VS Ukraine. Making a currency "legal" doesn't mean it's a currency "official" or that could be used by the government

Making it legal doesn't mean that government is moving towards decentralized crypto wallets for sending and receiving the money.

From the article shared by OP, "The National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market, as well as the National Bank, are in charge of regulating the virtual asset market". They are regulating the crypto sector so that government has insight of whats going on insight.

That's right, it's just legalization, that's like recognizing crypto as a currency with value and it's taxable for every transaction that is under the regulation. It's not new but a good step towards massive adoption and countries like Ukraine for sure will benefit from their decision.

Soon, maybe MPBL can have their own channel or they will be offered an airtime to the new owner of ABS-CBN. We don't know but hopefully.

That would be a good start as TV 5 has the PBA already therefore they need a big network that will televised their games. However, if they still could not get into a big channel, I guess having it through live streaming platform like youtube is already good enough, for sure now many people are watching online too aside from their tv screen.

TV5 is also subsidiary of PLDT that Pangilinan owns and it is already good that they have a channel where we could watch but I mean there's no harm if MPBL itself will buy a frequency to host its own channel rather than just renting it. In today's time, people are already used to just watch it on an online livestream in their laptops/computers/cellphones but TV's are the traditional ones that we used to have.

I think it's better if they will be aired on a popular network so they will be more popular and when they are more popular, it's a win-win situation for the station and the team, opportunities will come and of course, the salary of the players will probably increase. Who knows, one day we will see the MPBL at the top and PBA will be just rank 2nd.

We shouldn't forget that meme coin was first created as a joke, I mean just look at those names if it's really worth something in the future. That alone, you can already tell either if that certain meme coin is really worth holding no matter if it is long term or short term. These coins are just like you're playing a raffle, sometimes we're luck but often times we lost. Now, is this worth your time and money?
2185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 18, 2022, 08:13:32 AM
76ers got a really embarrassing defeat against Celtics last night by 87-135 home. As these two teams were really close in the standings, I had zero expectation about this kind of a result but here we are. Even if Embiid scored double the points he scored in this game, it still wouldn't be enough for getting close to Celtics. I'm looking forward to watching James Harden soon. By his arrival, I believe that this team are going to be much better in the playoffs.

The Boston Celtics got momentum right from the start of the game. They are hitting shots even properly defended. On the other hand, Sixers looks like in jet lag following the trade. They are not used to playing right now without Seth and Drummond who are already part of their usual rotation for long.

Not totally a problem as few games should be enough to be rebuilt again the chemistry they are used to. If James Harden will be fit on the team, no one knows.

We cannot see how different the Sixers is until Harden will come and play with them and we cannot expect them to be a good team for his addition since for sure they will work on their chemistry to see how fit he is in the system of Sixers. For sure many fans would provably watch his first game on Sixers because many are curious to know if Sixers made a right choice to include Seth and Drummond in that trade.

I guess we are talking about the "possibility" here, of course the expectation will not be seen until he plays with Harden. And it will take some time, not just 1 or 2 games to see how he blend with Joel Embiid and if they have a good chemistry or not. But I'm expecting that Joel might get touches around the rim, alley oop that Harden has perfected. As far as his games though, he will have to adjust with how the Sixers are playing. It's not that the Sixers is slow team, but most of the time they do deliberate set up plays.

Harden forcing his way out through the Sixers surely had some reasons, Harden already thought about it. Of course it would it take some time like 2-3 games in-order for him to fit in the Sixers combo and rhythm. But everybody is expecting, including me that this better be a good idea that will likely result into a positive play and not a joke. But yeah, our expectations should will be answered when Harden plays his 1st game in the Sixers after the All Star weekend.
2186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: February 17, 2022, 07:44:05 AM

Yes! Exactly.

There's no need for them to wait for any further hype or counter offer. Mike seems to be a firm guy and if it has been said, it's been said and just as what his rep has said.

That's what we can depend on for the discussion, no fight for the two.

The truth seems to me a pity, because I really wanted to see Tyson fight, this boxer for me is a machine, just remember when they put him in front of Muahamad Ali in an interview that Tyson himself assured that Ali was the best of all time, that was the only time I saw Tyson give a noble gesture and respect towards someone, in the same way for me Tyson is the best of all time, I don't care if he has led a crazy life, even if he took half an ear off An opponent, for me he is the best, and I don't think any other boxer in the world reaches his level.

Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson is both the best boxers in their respective generation, and the same goes to other world champion boxer in todays time as well like Manny Pacquiao, Canelo and etc. They can't be compared especially if they didn't got the chance to have a professional fight in the ring.

Same here mate, actually, that specific interview was the first time I saw Mike praise and respect another boxer. He really looked up on Ali.

Mike respected Ali, sure.  I have seen the interview you mentioned many times.  It is clear that Mike was respectful of those who came before him, but it's also clear to any boxing fan over the age of 40 that Mike Tyson would have destroyed Ali in the ring.  Just like he'd destroy Pacquiao, Mayweather, Canelo, or any of the other little guys.  I think he would have cleaned Holyfield's clock if they fought sooner as well.  I believe Mike Tyson was the greatest fighter ever in his prime and I've never seen any boxer since to even put that opinion up for debate.

The real question is...  So many people seem to think this Paul/Tyson fight will happen.  Is there a place we can bet on it never happening, ever?

I got your point. The respect is there, and also the fact that Mike could have destroyed Ali if he were given that chance in the past. What I mean is, yes Mike is without a doubt the greatest boxer by far and could have also knock down or demolish the famous boxers today like the ones we stated above but I couldn't just fathom that fact for sure because they're not in the same generation and didn't had that chance at least.

Harden to make Sixers debut Feb 25

So, he will be making his debut on a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. I'm excited to see the result if Embiid+Harden will be a good tandem.
Oh that's near. Thanks for the heads up. I am not that excited but I do want to witness what they can bring out, will it be chaos or will it be a romantic story with a happily ever after at the end. I don't see Embiid as the type of waiting for Harden to finish his 100 dribbles per 24 second so I hope this will be a better duo than any other coupled with him. I thought Capela was the best to highlight the passing skills of him back in Houston but they broke that pair so this should be better with Embiid's length of skill set.

No problem mate! Not a 76ers fan nor a Harden but I'm just thrilled to see what would be the effect of this trade and I also do hope that it will be more of a good romantic story between Hardeen and Embiid tandem and of course with the team with a wonderful season ending. Embiid on the other hand doesn't have to wait Harden for that to accomplish another history or whatever it is.

Although I think Nets won the trade, Sixers able to let go of a problematic player to the club in exchange of someone who should be better at scoring isn't a bad deal.
Oh that! Yes, I guess that's also a win for them. Since Simmons is not even playing one of their games I guess it's also a win for them now that someone has filled the spot and the money they are paying for. Sorry, I forgot that fact.
I am not in doubt with Embiid's capability but Harden is whom I am more worried about with the history of not playing at his best whenever the playoffs is happening. But who knows, maybe Embiid will the one to push him in the edge to bring his A game every time they play.
It was definitely profitable for both sides. I mean Harden is better than Simmons by far if you ask me, so getting Simmons is not a "win" for Nets, but they got a player that would be willing to play for Nets and be super happy and would give everything because they saved him from the team he didn't want to play.

So, Simmons is great compared to an unwilling Harden. Whereas Sixers literally got SOMETHING for Simmons, doesn't matter who it is but it is Harden that they got which is awesome. I am expecting Harden to contribute a lot but even if he does a little bit, that is better than getting zero from Simmons just sitting at home instead of playing. So both teams won if you ask me.

Logically right, much better than a sitting Simmons,

and beside that's Harden, an MVP caliber that will bring his game to Philly. Even they already have Embiid but contributions
from Harden is also a good plus factor to them, he can attract defense and he can give good offensive scores.

We will see the aftereffect of this trade after this season, either they will end up facing each other to the next round
or better to compete for the ECF, we never know but looking forward to that.

And much better than an unwilling Harden, certainly both teams benefited from those trade and both players have much to prove.

As I said before, there's no doubt that Harden will have no problem adjusting to his new team as he is flexible in any role, he will be a good additional asset to 76ers and a mega duo is likely to be born with Embiid beside him.

Quote

76ers and Nets are scheduled to face on March 11, it will be a tough game for sure.

We will surely see it soon after Harden make a debut on 76ers, but same as you, I had no doubts that he will play much harder to make it in the playoffs or we never know they can also make it to the Finals, especially now that it's his own free will.

2190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 13, 2022, 04:48:23 PM
Jacobs is already 35 years old , so yeah, I guess he is already way past his prime years.

He might be remembered when he fought Canelo in 2019 but lost through UD. Then he also fought JCC Jr (another overrated fighter) and won when Chavez quit.

Maybe though he still has some fight in him, make some money and then quit the sports.

Age can really give a difference on how you fight even if you're a champion at your division but when it comes to age, it is really inevitable. As for Jacobs case, he is quite frankly a decent boxer with a 73% KO rate and his 2 losses came from GGG and Canelo respectively, unfortunately  he lost again to Ryder who's KO rate was just below 50%. So we can really tell, he's really not on his prime anymore and he may have some fight even at the age of 35 years old but the chance of winning is relatively small.

2191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 13, 2022, 04:05:45 PM
this is quite reasonable because indeed he always puts his boxers in something safe and indeed when indeed if inoue plays with casimero then this will be a gamble that will determine the fate of bob and the boxers he makes cash cows.
I think he is being too careful but indeed this might be a pretty good move for him because indeed Casimero is not an opponent that Inoue can really fight even though Inoue is quite strong but Casimero is above him and indeed Bob certainly predicts this

It is kind of natural for the promoters to make sure that their best boxers aren't in the disadvantage side especially when the money deal is not that reasonable for them. Not just Bob Arum but others as well do this kind of things because business is business. For now, Casimero is the one who needs Inoue to him to of course benefit and be more known in the industry but as I said, Bob ain't interested and surely had other plans for Inoue.
In that same note, Casimero should make this fight against Butler in his favor if he is that passionate to make Inoue as a stepping stone for his career because if indeed Casimero will upset Butler then Bob Arum can't avoid anymore and make Inoue fight Casimero.

In side of Arum maybe he thinks that he cannot get anything huge if they let Inoue fight with Casimero and their fighter will be at huge risk if Casimero surprisingly defeat him and this one can lower the stack of their current favorite fighter. This is the reason why Casimero need to have impressive win against Butler so that Arum cannot resist to make this fight to happen since the fans calling about it will surely be much stronger.
The income earned is not in accordance with the losses obtained and Arum certainly does not want this Grin
But I think it will only be a matter of time because indeed Casimero will win against Butller (in my opinion) and inevitably Arum must be directly involved with the match and he can no longer dodge when Casimero wins.
I personally want to see how Casimero continues to surprise and he now has to shine

It is highly possible that their losses could potentially affect the income of their next match, as we know, Butler and Casimero is quite known in the boxing industry but they aren't in the same level as Mayweather, Pacquiao, Canelo or GGG because they're still starting to rise to become just like those guys. Bob Arum is a smart guy and definitely doesn't want his best fighter to be in a risky side, he should get involved with it directly for him to make sure that his boy wouldn't go to waste.

Casimero's only choice is to pull a KO or at least win in their match against Butler for him to get Bob's attention and to be recognized more publicly.
2192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: February 13, 2022, 03:43:12 PM
IMO, I call that fight as a scam in these modern times.
LOL, it's a scam because of the hype and it did not happen. Just relax mate, that's normal these days, either you scam or you get scammed, the good thing is that we don't pay for the fight, we only watch them for free so they can't take our money, however, if there's a chance the fight will happen, I would still gladly watch it.

Nah, you misunderstood it. @Mirakal probably meant Mayweather vs Logan Paul was a scam because instead of entertaining people, it's clear that they're just after the money they collected after the fight. Even me, I find that fight boring even if I didn't pay for it live but I pity those fans and people who paid just to see the fight live especially the ones in the side ring.

congrats @YuginKadoya, that was a 'PROFIT". Smiley

My early pick.

Game : Hawks vs Celtics.

Trae Young is listed probable this Sunday,
https://www.numberfire.com/nba/player-news/192108/trae-young-hip-probable-for-atlanta-on-sunday

However, the spread is strange, I think Celtics will continue their win streak and they'll beat the Hawks and cover the spread.
I'm with a team with a great momentum, so I'm sticking with my instinct.

Yes, tailing this one, and this game is going to be in TD Garden so for sure Celtics is going to look to impressed their fans because as of late they are on a streak.

And they can cover the spread of -6.5, specially if Trae Young and Collins are out in this game.

Celtics is averaging double digit win in their last couple of games so I will not be surprised if this trend will continue.

The trend will continue for sure, as @viscore is saying, John Collins won't be playing so it's a big factor for the result of this game. If Trae Young would also not gonna play, this will be for sure a big blowout win for the Celtics, I'm seeing a minimum of 10 points win by the home team so that spread should be covered.

How about the other game (Wolves vs pacers), any thoughts?

crypto games currently are not good and I haven't enjoyed crypto games maybe this is because crypto games are still too new so it's not perfect in all parts but I'm sure crypto games will be more interesting in the future if crypto game projects continue to improve if all systems crypto games have been perfect this crypto game will be something extraordinary and loved by many people.

Personally, I'm not interested in crypto games, but I'm more interested in crypto casinos with traditional games but using crypto as a means for gambling. I don't want to discount the possibility that one day one crypto game will surprise the space, it's still to early to judge, in fact the crypto world is developing so expect some positive and big changes in the future.

So we will see where Harden is going to fit next year in the rotation, it seems that they are ready for big time this season.

Why next year? Is he not gonna play this season?

I think he will have his debut soon, though he is still not playing yet I'm pretty sure he is also excited to play with his new team. James Harden is still one of the superstars in the NBA, with a good teammates especially Harden, I think Sixers will be better and would probably be a championship team.

He can still play this year because his injury is not that serious, to skip all the games this year and he can be the ultimate key player for the 76ers in the NBA playoffs. With the Bulls, Cavs, Heat, and Bucks are confident to get to the playoffs, each team needs some strong players to help them get through it and claim the Eastern Conference championship.

He can relax because the 76ers are winning games without him, if he wants to be fully healthy, maybe save his energy and just play when the playoffs come. I'm sure Harden will be a big help in the playoffs as he is made for that kind of big competition, and we will probably be seeing the 76ers  vs Nets in the ECF if the Bucks will fail this season.

More crypto gambling sites having this kind of promotion would be better, bettors all over the world would understand how easy it is to gamble using bitcoin.

The game between the BlackWater Bossing and the TerraFirma Dyip has just ended and... damn I thought that the streak of Blackwater will end today because they are leading by 12 at the 5 minute mark of the 4th quarter 96-84 but the Dyip made an 18-0 run to lead by 6 at the 1 minute mark of the quarter and ended getting the victory 109-103. Hmmmmm kinda sus Cheesy JK.

Well, the losing streak continues for the BlackWater but it seems that their new import is stronger than their previous one scoring 35 points and Suerte their new player also got 16 points. Maybe, just maybe the streak might end in their next 2-3 games. Just a prediction Cheesy.

Blackwater did not handled we'll their lead until the end of the match and only a couple of minutes left in order to claim the victory and break their loosing streak. But like you said above the TerraFirma dyip made a surprise to me their fighting sprit is their and still focus on the and that's the reason why they do an shoot after shoot and claim the victory

Too bad for them, that's a big disappointment as they already have a great chance to end their long drought but they were not too careful to handle their lead, now they will start to try to get that chance of winning and I'm not sure if they can do that against a stronger team, stronger than DYIP of course.

Their next game is against NLEX, that should be an "L" too because NLEX will bounce back.
2199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin will FAIL on: February 12, 2022, 09:02:26 PM
I don't see Dogecoin as a failed memecoin, because users of this coin are still very high in the crypto market, even though at this time the price of Doge has fallen but currently the price of Doge is much more stable, I am very optimistic that Doge will grow higher in the future and will to be the best coin staking in the crypto market like in 2021 ago.
At the moment, you can tell that Dogecoin is very successful, however, as a meme coin, the success would not last in the long run, in fact, I think Dogecoin will slowly lose its popularity as it has no utility, new coins will be hype and slowly it will be forgotten. Now, just enjoy what you are seeing but don't trust too much especially for long term.

Seriously am also kind of confused about the market currently I can't really advise anybody to follow any body's opinions the best thing you can do is to do your own research if you want to invest. I also heard their is currently of war in Ukraine which is really causing panic in every financial markets, so if you are investing I believe you just have to be very careful now because the market is really volatile currently.
DYOR, that's always the right thing to do, it's confusing because it's unpredictable, but that's why trading or investing in crypto is more exciting. In the end, the smart investors will survive and rip the profit because they are knowledgeable, they trust the future of crypto assets they are holding and they can earn in short-term trading.

If you are still confuse despite investing for too long, then probably ti's time to leave as you'll only lose your money.
