1601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 31, 2022, 07:57:29 AM

The conflict between players is common, but the conflict between players and management, that's very rare.

Yes, but it's happening already, the conflict is usually between the management and the superstar of the team because a superstar knows his value, if he will leave or gets traded, the knows that other teams are willing to accept him. Take it for instance, what if Curry will ask for a trade, for sure teams will be hoping that they can get him as currently he is the best player in the NBA.
1602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 31, 2022, 07:12:43 AM
And he also stress that he can't talk any more regarding the fight as it is still on the process of negotiations.
I hope the negotiation will be successful, the sharing of this fight is not our concern anymore, our main concern is for this fight to happen because we have been anticipating witnessing this big fight. They can fix the sharing and hopefully both camp will agree, so next will be the schedule and the location of the fight.
Just be positive, they are just delaying the announcement a bit so they can keep the hype going on as it's necessary for them to sell the tickets for a bigger revenue. This fight is going to be the biggest fight this year as it will finally tell us who is the better between the two, but if they can put a rematch cause, that would make the rivalry more intereting, as who knows, we might see a Trilogy.
1603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will Never Fall Again on: July 30, 2022, 02:43:36 PM
Misinformation among the cryptocurrency communities is evident and will be rampant regarding newbies. There are a lot of people who are becoming a victim because of their lack of knowledge and self-research. Some people are lazy when reading facts and ensuring that they read suitable sources. Like here in the forum.

I do hope people would be more interested in the truth and verify that it's true or not. That kind of station should be somewhat penalized or something.
People continue to be misinformed because there are really these kind of presenters who acted as if they know but the fact is, they really lack the knowledge and good research. And if no one will dare to correct their mistakes, innocent people will continue to rely on wrong information. However, such a brave act OP as you stand for what you think is right. Only by then, people will finally understand that bitcoin is never useless and will create good contribution on each of us if we also learn to adopt it too.
1604  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Ever Reach $100k? on: July 30, 2022, 02:08:35 PM
Arguably, the most significant driver of Bitcoin value is its future price speculation. There have been several speculations of BTC price by top crypto influencers, while some have come to pass but it appears that the 100k price milestone appears elusive.

The $60k prediction came to pass but BTC has since lost more than 65% of its ATH price.

Do you think that BTC will ever rise to and above 100k in the near future? Wil it be before or after the next Bitcoin halving or this price would never come?

What's your opinion?
Don’t be too rush in reaching another all time high for bitcoin. We will get there eventually. However, just because we are in a deep bearish market, bitcoin price will stop moving forward? The market condition is only temporary, and so the current price of bitcoin too. History has proven that a lot of times. And as expected by a lot, a new all time is reach after bitcoin halving as it always bring good benefits to all bitcoiners, most particularly bitcoin miners.
1605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 30, 2022, 07:00:07 AM

I'm really sure Ginebra will take that game however Meralco is really playing at their best. It's like every possession should be worthy or else that will lead to the turning point of the game. Do-Or-Die next game and we should expect a close game. I'm sure the Moneyline odds for both teams aren't that gap next game.

If there's a big gap, then I will not take the Moneyline odds.

Tonight we will know what would the be the odds for game 3 or the do-or-die game. I'm expecting that Ginebra will be a light favorite because definitely bookies will adjust especially if the spread is not high since public bettors will hit Ginebra spread hard for sure.

If it's -2.5 or -3.5, it's still worth to take IMO.
1606  Economy / Economics / Re: You don't earn money only from others, but also when you avoid spending your own on: July 29, 2022, 09:44:02 PM
Usually people get anxious and frenetic for new sources of income, to find new jobs, so they can maximize their patrimony as soon as possible, but many of them forget you don't accumulate wealth only when receiving money or being paid by others for a work. We can also decrease our expenses and stop third-partying tasks we can do ourselves, so at the end of a monthly cycle we will have earned more money to invest and make it grow overtime.

People create so many worthless fixed expenses nowadays. It can be monthly subscriptions of services they barely use, eating out too often, purchasing superfluous clothes, accessories and items in general just for vanity towards the society. Sometimes people have all the tools they need on their hands to finish a solid building, however, since they don't know how to use them properly, it will look like they constantly need more and more tools indefinitely.
Saving is also a good way to earn more, but unfortunately most of the people find it hard to save even those who are big earners in the society. Maybe one reason is that they always spend more than their income, so even if they have other resources of income, earning and saving money is still not possible. Where in the real fact is, you will also earn more if you start to manage your funds and buy only those things that are necessary. But of course, having investments or another sources of income gives you bigger chances to earn and save more money to grow.
1607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 year of accepting crypto payment in my fashion store on: July 29, 2022, 09:16:44 PM
It is always a pleasure to read such positive examples about using bitcoin and crypto currencies. I fully support you in your campaign. Have you had any positive reactions from customers? I didn't see anything about your satisfaction with the response.

Whatever the case may be, this is an outstanding article that will surely get attention. Keep up the good work and I will make sure to share this article with anyone who are interested in following in your footsteps.
This serves as an inspiration to those who are also planning to accept bitcoin or any form of crypto in their local stores or small business. I think it’s a great advantage for OP because his own country has a good market for bitcoin and crypto, so might as well take advantage on it. However, for those countries who are not more open to crypto, accepting it as a payment method is also a good start because it will create noise in the long run and who knows, you will discover lot of crypto owners secretly residing in your own country too.
1608  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for newbie to long-term investing on: July 29, 2022, 08:46:26 PM
Hi guys,

After the immense hype up of the crypto industry, I jumped into crypto investing last year along with al lot of the casuals. I spent a couple of hundred bucks but sold just above break even point after the market crash last year. I was forced to because I needed the money to invest into myself to find a good job. Now that I've found a job, I started investing in crypto currency again, and started doing my due diligence.

My goal right know is to accumulate as much crypto as I can, but I'm not sure what the best strategy is considering the current economic factors. The approach I've had over the past couple of months has just been dropping a portion of my salary each month into crypto. But now I'm considering stacking my fiat to buy in on the bottom of this bear cycle which I think is yet to come. Would this be a wise decision? Or should I just keep going with the approach I have now?

EDIT

I would like to thank everyone for their helpful advise so far, I will definitely take each point made into serious consideration. Also from the points made, it lets me now that my mindset is where it should be.

Right know I'm heavily focused on accumulating as much Eth as I can. I'm almost at the goal I've set for myself in terms of how much I'd like to have before investing in another coin, since I've started investing again a short while ago. Next up I'd like to stack some ADA and BTC of course. But I can't help but wonder is accumulating ETH and ADA the right move right now? Or should I be more invested in BTC in terms of potential long-term returns?
ETH and ADA are still quite profitable these days, but I suggest focus on accumulating more bitcoin that will bring more profits into your wallet in the future. While others are in panic buying all those cheap altcoins in the market, smart people prefer to stick on bitcoin and maximize their hodlings because somehow, it will also give them huge profits when bitcoin reaches its new ATH again. It’s not bad to stack your fiat in crypto, but always know what and where to invest so your money will not go into waste.

1610  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the possibility Bitcoin will rise before the end of the year ? on: July 28, 2022, 09:41:38 PM
Last year I predicted Bitcoin will rise above the value at the start of the year and I was totally right about it, in April Bitcoin eventually reached a new all-time high price of $64k. Bitcoin added about 72% of its value as it  increased drastically before it eventually started falling back in May till September. I don’t really know how this year is going to turn out now because of the present dip. But I just hope it increases, that’s why I’ve been advising so many people  to hold their Bitcoins and even buy more now cause it will surely rise again.
No matter how the market conditions looks like, in an unpredictable market like this, everything is possible. But if am that being practical and would stick to the struggles we are currently experiencing, for me bitcoin will not reach a remarkable price this year. We are almost at the last quarter of the year, and yet the price is still in $20k range, although bitcoin may recover but it will never end up with its new ATH this year. That’s only my thought.
1611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi is not dead, what is he doing? on: July 28, 2022, 09:18:43 PM
If Satoshi is not dead and still alive, what he is doing/they are doing right now is as simple as other alive people.
- Enjoying his achievement so far related to Bitcoin and also crypto,
- of coruse Eating
- Sleeping
- Doing daily activities from daily activities, sleeping, and waking up.
And,
what,,, wait,, is it so important for you to know what he is doing? Whoever he is and whatever he is doing right now, let it be and we cannot assume whatever it is.  Grin

I guess Satoshi if is still alive, then he could be one of us, having in disguise. I think that’s also possible so he can always follow the progress of his invention. But seriously, Satoshi is maybe chillin out there, living the life he and his own family deserve, that is if he’s still widely alive. Otherwise, he may be resting in peace for long, no one knows exactly.
1612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your ultimate choice? on: July 27, 2022, 09:48:55 PM
Bitcoin is always my first choice, it’s the most reputable & highly adopted coin. Eth is a good coin too but I’m a little nervous about the merge. If you asked me one coin to have my whole net worth in though it’d definitely be bitcoin, all day every day.
When you come to experience the different season in the crypto market, you will certainly end up with only one final decision, and that is to always prioritize bitcoin more than any other coins. Bitcoin is the blood and the future of the crypto market, and everything that appears in the market are mostly cloned from bitcoin. While majority of them do not have brighter future and may only undervalued in the long run, bitcoin will always be the last one to stay and that’s how bitcoin becomes the most trusted and most reputable coin the market.
1613  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to raise funding for trading? on: July 27, 2022, 09:29:15 PM
I know nothing about  fundraising so please guide me through this process for my better future.
You want to raise fund for what? Trading. Know that people should not even support that because you can lose the money.

If you have been trading and making profit for 4 years now, you shouldn't be looking for fund raising, you would have raised the fund yourself.
Trading may not work for others as it brings high risk, so people will definitely avoid the idea of trading since its more on a loss than profits. If you want to grow your capital, then always leave good amount in your wallet every time you withdraw your profits. That way, the more you make profits from trading, the more your wallet balance grows. But always know that trading with a huge capital does not guarantee huge returns all the time. Once you lose them all, they will never be back again.
1614  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: July 27, 2022, 06:10:10 PM
Market's fluctuations are unpredictable and thus in crypto, you can not trust any coin to fully get invested on. But yes, you can confidently invest on best coins like, BITCOIN, ETH, BNB and etc splitting a concerned percentage you wish but not to the whole on one coin. What if market is not fare to Bitcoin and is on ETH. So invest 50% on a coin which has high trading volume and where you trust on and invest another 25% on another top coin following Bitcoin. Keep the remaining 25% to average if some unexpected moves are observed.

I think it is safer to invest in Bitcoin alone than make a diversion with another cryptocurrency.  Why?  because it is more likely that altcoin will crash than bitcoin.  If you want to divert the investment then divert it to other ventures outside cryptocurrency.  I think Bitcoin is enough for a long-term investment when it comes to cryptocurrency.  Trading altcoins is another story though.

Investing in bitcoin has always been the most secured and most profitable in the crypto market, as altcoins are only made through the image of bitcoin. However, it’s also good to invest in established altcoins but expect that they are not as secured and profitable as bitcoin. And also, investing in altcoins are risky as it is. But you could still diversify your investments in bonds, real estate and stocks. That way, if bitcoin fails, your other investments might still be in progress so you’ll not be in a total loss.
1615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think we should do with our investments in times of uncertainty? on: July 26, 2022, 09:32:51 PM
There simply isn't a right or wrong way to do things when investments start going sideways.

Every person has different financial needs. It's easy to tell people don't sell your coins in a bear market and when the prices are falling, but we don't know what state they are in. We don't know what needs they have and how much they rely on those assets no matter their current value. Having a steady and secure source of income each month can make it easy for you to not be worried about the current market conditions and not look at the price. But what if your financial well-being greatly depends on the money you make from Bitcoin? It doesn't matter how you make that money. When money gets tight, you sell what you can to keep your head about water. Unfortunately, for many that also means selling bitcoin with a huge loss.
I guess even if we sell our coins at the wrong time, the fact that we used that for our own benefit, that won't be considered a total loss. Yes, we missed a huge profit in the future, but sometimes its not the future that matters, but on how we can survive at the present. Hodling is good as its the best thing to do in times of uncertainty, but selling your bitcoin as well is not wrong either as long as you still intend to buy another bitcoin when your funds are already stable.
1616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 24, 2022, 12:48:48 PM
Is anyone here thinking of betting on Ginebra now?

They are down double digit and the odds are very attractive, what do you think?
I believe Ginebra is a strong team, they can come back even with a huge deficit and they are good in the 2nd half.

Have bet for Ginebra before the game started and as I have said in my post on our local board that this is a very risky bet as Meralco is a strong team and this is a conference where they don't have a Justine Brownlee that could score for them if they badly needed one, no go-to-guy.

A lot of time remaining and hope they will recover and win the first game of the series.

You are right, things are even getting worse, there's no way Ginebra can still come back in this game with less than 5 minutes left in the game only. Meralco having an 18 points lead, will certainly take this game. Congrats to the Meralco bettors, this is your night.  Smiley
1617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 24, 2022, 12:21:01 PM
Word on the street is that the Lakers just offered Jamal Crawford a 1-year contract. Crawford is one of the best sixth man to ever play in the NBA and a relentless scorer. I could see him coming off the bench for a few good moments when they need a bucket. He’s old, but many NBA players were surprised he didn’t have a contract last year, as he’s still one of the better players in the league.

Hmm, not sure about this though, is the Lakers not learned from last year's debacle? I mean getting old and veterans players? and it didn't click right?

No doubt that Crawford can play and one of the best cross over during his prime, but I'm not sure if they still need a guy like him and to be a scorer? He is not a good defender as well so honestly, I will be baffled if they get him.

As a knick fan I love me some Jamal Crawford but I tend to agree.  There are plenty of vets that can still ball but in the backcourt position if you are a step slow on defense than in your earlier years it diminishes your value.  Outside of a select few this is a young man's game and I want mobile guards for sure.  Lakers trying to do anything they can if they sign Crawford up.
A big fan too of the shake and bake maestro but I don't know, there must be a different purpose into why they want Crawford in their roster.
Maybe mentally?
He may be one of the greatest sixth man in the league but those knees are growing weaker as you age.
I don't see him being given even 20 minutes of playtime, it will be more of boosting the morale of their bench.

He is already 42 years old, the same age as Udonis Haslem and this guy is not playing anymore, so I don't think he could play more minutes. Lakers are really fun of investing in veterans but they don't know how to utilize them effectively, maybe they have to change strategy, put the young guns, and develop them.

1619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries have banned Bitcoin; Do you believe is because of criminal activities on: July 23, 2022, 09:43:05 PM

Most countries are giving excuses and  reason for banning Bitcoin is because it can easily be used to fund crimes.
But I think they are afraid of losing control of their citizens' financial activities because they believe being the ones regulating financial activities makes them powerful.
What are your thoughts
If people will focus on fiat, the government will always take advantage of the people since fiat is always controlled by the government, and that they get to trace the people’s fiat activities. However, with bitcoin, it’s hard for them to control its people’s activities because bitcoin is decentralized. So aside from being suspected that it funds criminal activities, bitcoin is also treated as a bad influence to people since its taking them away from the government. Whatever the reason, I think it’s very clear that the government will use a lot of excuses just to stop people from trusting and using bitcoin in the future.
1620  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You should not worry about BTC price action on: July 23, 2022, 09:19:03 PM
I've come to terms with waiting a few years before I can see a possible recovery in order to sell, I'm not too worried despite the upsetting situation in the market and the economy in general. Having made that mistake in the past, where I abandoned Bitcoin in 2018, only for it to recover two years later, rendering it one of the largest mistakes I made involving cryptocurrencies, as it was an opportunity that could possibly result into thousands in profit.
Good profits always come to those who learn to be patient and stay positive mindset despite of the market condition that is very bearish. What we have at the moment is never new at all, as bitcoin has plummeted it’s price and is considered a lot of times, but look at the price now, it’s starting to recover and we all know that if the market turns green already, we will always see bitcoin skyrocketing and reaches its new ATH again.
