Who is this Lafu guy? Are we being led to believe he's actually employed by Cryptopia?
Lafu: if you are claiming to be part of Cryptopia, identify yourself by name as is standard in a professional setting.
As far as I can tell, he's an unpaid moderator from the troll box. Probably not the best person to be handling "PR" in this thread. Cryptopia generally ignores Bitcointalk. This site is not credible nor in a position to "expose scams". Unfortunately Bitcointalk is a notorious scam site. Any idiot can spam unmoderated forums and make unsubstantiated claims - answering them is a waste of time. Just look at any exchange thread. They are full of claims of which 90% fail with a tiny bit of scrutiny. If you argue with an idiot they just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Just look at the listings on Bitcointalk where exchange accounts for Bittrex, Cryptopia, Poloniex are for sale (breaking AML laws) There accounts are involved in phishing thefts from innocent user accounts. They are so numerous that I'm surprised that the authorities haven't taken an interest yet. Scam ICOs, MLM and pump and dump scams are so numerous here on bitcointalk that I have lost count. Fake equipment is being sold on here on bitcointalk frequently that I would not recommend buying anything on here. 99% of the scam accusations posted here on Bitcointalk are false. Bitcointalk raised 280 BTC to run bitcointalk https://bithope.org/campaign/support-the-bitcointalk-forumYou'd think they would be able to afford to get rid of the scams and moderate better.

I knew it when they stopped Doge and LTC pairs I quickly withdrawed .
Why would your stop free income of your trading fees??? BIG RED FLAG HERE!!!
They must be hacked or they are scamming.
NO it makes perfect sense. LTC and DOGE markets only represented a small amount of the value of turnover but a large portion of the coin volume turnover. So while the value may have only represented 10% of the earnings the volume may have represented 40% of the transactions. (I don't know the real numbers) Add to that the circular trades that bots were doing - where if one user purchased some coins on the BTC basemarket the bots would adjust their bids on the DOGE and LTC markets Bots then would try to outbid each other and one might even over correct leading to a whole new chain of events. Removing the LTC and DOGE markets was done by them with the intent to remain trading on the primary markets and relaunch with a more permanent stable solution. Scam and hack accusations in crypto have entirely lost their shock value. Accusations are now so frequently made by single dissatisfied users or coin communities with a grudge. They have no idea of how things work. When things really goes bad nobody has a clue due to all the nonsense scam spam. What would be really useful is if users were more educated on spotting phishing sites, fake ICOs, pump and dump scams, fake products scams, phishing using fake phone support , fake email support, fake text messages, phishing apps listed on google play, fake phishing sites advertised on google ads and scam bots that clean out user accounts. It is sad to see that this is happening on every exchange. Warning about those things would help a lot more people than moaning about temporary market closures or stuck funds. Always use google authenticator as 2FA or a buy a Cryptopia device. On other exchanges always use 2FA and never use the same password or email address on more than one exchange. Gmail with 2FA enabled or Protonmail with 2FA enabled are the most secure. Beware of phone jacking - having your phone number tied to your email address may not be as secure as you think.

Just send it to a MEW (my Ether Wallet) first and then send it to the exchange. https://www.myetherwallet.com/ A lot of exchanges don't accept smart contract payments. Bittrex, Bitfinex, Coinexchange.io, Coinhako, Coinpayments, Cryptopia, Exodus, Koinex, Ledger, Liqui, SimplexFX all don't accept smart contracts It has to do with how it is processed on the blockchain. On the blockchain the transaction is to the contract address and the funds are sent to the receiving address via an internal transaction (as data). Normal Transaction: Contract (Internal transaction)

Dear members,
On 15.01.17. In a moment of carelessness, I made a transaction of bitcoins (BTC) from my coinbase account to USDT address in Cryptopia. I realized my mistake but it was too late and the transaction cleared with 6+ confirmations in a couple of hours.
Transaction ID: 27ddeac780978f24d49b493cc9b6b819a6d819e2d9c406fd5f1673246da814f7 Output address: 1DJheE2EGZsyXRG8SfeTtivSgbezL34bGB
the address I sent my bitcoins to is: 1EqkMgZaR8vaPQJ1gHjbNY75Cp9k7i1L6T
Their support is very slow in answering but they are trying their best. They have had phenomenal growth on the site. There is a 10% fee for crosschain recoveries. Fee is only payable if he recovery is succesfull. You can speed up the process by mentioning that you agree to the recovery fee (saves them having to ask you)

I searched, UNO usually only needs 6 confirmation for deposit and withdrawing. But by Bittrex it is changed to 300.. Hmmm... Weird.. I guess you're right BeggarInCryptos, there's some scheming going on.. 300 confirmation need at least 12 hours to complete, and the pumping started exactly 12 hours before the coin is deleted.
It is likely that they increased the number of confirmations to prevent people from depositing it for pumps and dumps.

Users of Cryptopia.co.nz are currently the target of phishing scams.
Beware of very convincing phishing sites buying google ads to fool people. Clicking a link from a search engine is not safe.
Make sure you type cryptopia.co.nz in the address bar Check the security certificate of the site.
Cryptopia has NO OFFICIAL APPS. Google has failed to remove FAKE APPS from the Play Store.
This problem also affects other exchanges.
If you disclose your login credentials to a phishing site by accident - login to the real site IMMEDIATELY and change your passwords and 2FA settings Submit a support ticket to explain the situation. It is highly recommended that you change the email address you use for your account after a phishing attempt.

Ethereum has been a victim of its own success. The more popular it gets the more problematic the scaling problems get.
It value is not only in what it is now but in what it will become. Ethereum has good development and the funds and skills to develop it further. #HODL

Did you guys just wait or is there something I can do to finally get my coins confirmed?
Was a combination of Ethereum network issues and a miscalculation of gas. Gas was increased to push the high volume of Cryptopia user transactions through. Ethereum is having serious scaling issues.

BCN was delisted in August and they no longer have a BCN wallet .
Delist Notice - BCN Due to an on-going issue of deposits being sent to Cryptopia without payment id, resulting in long delays for users or loss of coins, BCN is being delisted. Please withdrawal your BCN before 20/09/17 Published by: DaRoll @ 8/20/2017 11:30:01 AM 3450 Ox Fina is less than US$3 according to coinmarketcapOX Fina is a ERC20 token so transaction gas fees are paid in Ether - hence the costly transaction fees paid to the miners that process the transaction.

I just started trading with Cryptopia. Is it standard that they just take $1000 from customers at random times? I am thinking it was a simple error since I was provided a withdraw TX ID 2 days ago that does not even exist according to the block explorer. No response from the service ticket either. How can I get this fixed? Obviously crypto operates at warp speed so I would hate to lose more money on the wait.
I have used at least 6 exchanges and never experienced this problem before. Don't let Binance take all my business!
What coin ? What is the TXid ? Sometimes coin networks can be terribly slow. I know they have had ongoing issues with the Ethereum network and ERC20 Tokens.

Cryptopia scammed me out of .33 btc with their ongoing paccoin scam, i complained last night and told them i was going to the police and will do all i can to see justice served and i wake up this morning to find out my account is locked and they are stealing thousands more i have in my account there.
That is not what I saw in the forums. Based on the threats you might not have to go to the police - the police will come to you. Why would you threaten their families ? That is low. I found this in the forum and suspect THIS is reason your account is locked : As for your accusation regarding PAC is nonsense too - there is a massive 209 BTC 1 sat and 2882 BTC 2sat sell wall. https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/api/GetMarketOrders/1721/50{"Success":true,"Message":null,"Data":{"Buy":[],"Sell":[{"TradePairId":1721,"Label":"PAC/BTC","Price":0.00000001,"Volume":20958105886.75323747,"Total":209.58105887},{ "TradePairId":1721,"Label":"PAC/BTC","Price":0.00000002,"Volume":144125808760.59761295,"Total":2882.51617521},

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and beautiful holidays !
Whats happening with Cryptopia? Coininfo shows 43 wallets maintaining / offline. All deposits with this coins stuck over than 24 hours! No warn. No tweets. No forum answers. Whats going on? "DO - Expect a delay in us replying to your ticket, at the moment the wait time is around 5 days." 5 days? Hundreds of posts on Cryptopia forum with lost deposits. And noone responded. With nearly a million monthly visitors, 726 coins and growing rapidly there are bound to be some complaints. The forums on there are for users to help other users. The only help threads done by staff or moderators are pinned. Like most exchanges support is offered through support tickets and not through forums. Most exchanges don't even have forums. Wallets can be in maintenance for a variety of reasons - many of them outside of Cryptopias control. Requests from coin developers to put the wallet in maintenance, no network connections, unannounced forks, breach of delisting policy, coinswaps, failure to provide updated node ips, wallet problems (wallets are provided by coin developer), server maintenance, retrieving cross chain transactions, technical issues and many other reasons why a wallet is in maintenance. https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/cryptopia.co.nzOf the 42 coin wallets offline: 6 are delisting 15 have no network connections 9 are showing a connection but have unstable network connections where if you click on the info there are no active nodes. Only 14 of the coins hav a 2 star rating or more and only 2 of the coins have a four star rating. Most of the coins I have never heard of. Some of the coins are in maintenance because the exchange is conducting a coinswap. There are probably only about three wallets where they are offline because of issues under Cryptopia control.

Damn why theay are tacking 40 USD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fee to withdraw USDT ? Because it is an Omni token and Tx for those is expensive. Cryptopia doesn't do multiple withdrawals in one transaction, Their withdrawal engine does individual withdrawals and to change that would require a full rewrite of withdraw engine, needs enough consistent withdraw volume to be able to pool them without causing delays, and various other things. It is likely to happen at some point but isn't a small job
