2241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in METAVERSE on: March 19, 2022, 11:56:14 PM
I feel like on decentralized metaverses there is going to be a lot more operators willing to open up unregulated casinos, often because they can no longer be traced back to an actual name registering a license/domain.

Is this even possible? For a company that will establish a casino that will be associated with Metaverse or not, it's a must that they should register as a legit company regardless of what they are, be it centralized or decentralized. In the first place, there will be no users that will try unregulated casinos due to the fact that it's anonymous.

Can we trust our money to these kinds of operators or related services?

Or maybe I mislead with the statement. Am I right with my response here?

They can always get their audience even if they are not licensed, depending on their marketing.
Remember, there are several long-running casinos in the forum without a license.
But for new players, would be hard to gain credibility from the community.
If you are a player, definitely, you want a credible casino to play with as many scammers are now in operations.
The possibility of creating a metaverse casino without any license is always there, because they will point out the reason that it is decentralized.
2242  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do daytraders store their crypto? on: March 19, 2022, 11:34:57 PM
Obviously keeping your coins in an exchange is not as safe as a hardware wallet, but what do daytraders do?  If I daytrade, I would just keep my coins in the exchange until I need to withdraw or if I know I won't be trading for a while.
Day traders must need to trust their platforms for their funds; no exceptions. By considering the hassles involved with daily withdrawing/depositing, I guess all active traders will prefer about holding their funds within exchanges.

Here are the points that you need to consider which justify their decision of holding funds in exchanges:

1. Day traders are not whales which means for your small capital you may risk with your exchange.
2. There are long running-tested-reputed exchanges are available to use as wallets.
3. BTC lighting network is not available in most reputed exchanges.
4. Even some altcoins facilities quick TX, traders may not prefer to keep their capital on altcoins.
5. Active traders may prefer to go for withdrawing once in a while; otherwise it would burden them along with their TA and watching and following market movements.

I believe most day traders here are using binance exchange.
I, myself, is also somewhat confident when leaving funds on their exchange for quite a while.
Like when you are using their earning features such as fixed and flexible savings.
I have more trust on them when it comes to this type of investment.
Just what I posted earlier in this thread, the security is maybe due to the insurance in place in this exchange.
2243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]✨✨✨ The Poker Faces Club ✨✨✨ The Future of Decentralized Poker and Casino on: March 19, 2022, 10:38:26 PM
I thought the lightpaper is indeed 41 pages but saw that you translated it to other languages.
So it is basically about 11 pages. Which when you read is not really very comprehensive, which is understandable because it is only lightpaper.
Just one question here - how are you going to compete with other meta-verse gaming platforms?
Is there any outstanding feature that you can offer to your players that you think will give an identity to your platform?
2244  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|✍️Signature Campaign|🎰Boosted DailyBattle x10📈 BFG on BabySwap on: March 19, 2022, 08:56:03 PM
Funfury token is a demo token but Betfury has a special event worth 100USDT for top players that earn Fun fury tokens in daily basis. The token itself has no value but you can win a portion of the 100$ if you will manage to earn fun fury and rank to the leaderboard. This is the best part of Betfury on introducing event related to there demo tokens. Players can try the casino while at the same time can win already a real money by just playing for fun without any risk of losing there own money.
Besides, we can try some new games in-house with this token sometimes try to apply some strategies if it works then use real money
It's just that as far as this contest goes, no forum user has succeeded in taking the prize participants from outside the forum are more aggressive
Besides that, Freewheel also never gives you cash prizes  Cheesy even though the main prize is 1 BTC.
More and more places are doing the "fake money" thing, it used to be a thing on early days of crypto gambling, went away, and now it is making a comeback somehow. I believe that we should not be shocked all that much, this is a very normal marketing move, attracting even the people who can't afford to play, or people who want to test out some stuff.

I personally feel like there is nothing wrong with putting a fake money gambling so that people could test out some things and iron out the details of their strategies. In the end when they wager, they will lose because of the house edge and the casino will get all that money. I do not know any downside for the casino itself.

Casinos need to think of ways how to attract gamblers on their platform.
So no doubt that launching play money is one of the options to take.
And using this play token in their contest is one way to get their interest.
With real money at stake, even if we say, it is not that much..But for those who have lots of time to spare, they can participate.
Just look at the numbers, you can't even get into top 50 if you are not diligent enough with your games.
You can say, they did a good job about introducing this funfury token, because some of them will deposit real money to play.
2245  Economy / Gambling / Re: BK8 - Biggest and Most Trusted Brand. Asia's #1 Crypto online casino BTC & USDT on: March 18, 2022, 11:25:14 PM
@Peanutswar according to the admin reply in the Issue of KYC it was mentioned that KYC is not mandatory for users and it's only required for those who want to deposit and play using centralized paper money on the sites that is those who want to use bank or master cards to make deposits to the site.

I don't think verification only applies to centralized currencies. There is not a word about it in their Term of Service, and it looks like it applies to all users:

Quote
6.6 We reserve the right to request further evidence of identification and age from you to verify your Membership Application (e.g. valid picture identification). If there is any change to your information details, you shall notify us of the relevant change immediately.

6.7 We reserve the right to confirm your name and address by post. The Company may, at our discretion, undertake additional security checks against any information that you provide. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you give consent for The Company to access, use and store any identification verification or checks that may be made against you.

source: https://www.bk8btc.com/faq?tab=3

From what I have observed, there is no casino that divides users into those who use fiat money and crypto. ToS simply affects all users of a given casino and is the same for everyone.

Bottomline, if you do want to play on this site, be ready to submit those documents if needed.
Because from what I have seen here in most casinos, sometimes when the player is winning big, the casino will freeze your account so you can comply with their KYC requirements.
They may not require you at the start of depositing funds to their site, but later on, they may implement it on your account.
Their basis is always on their ToS. So if you are not comfortable sending your docs, better find another casino that can cater your gambling activities.

If it is not too much for the dev team, they can purchase copper membership -

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

In this way, the OP can post those images without any problem.
It will also give better way to launch their project and not waiting for someone to quote their OP.
If they are venturing into this industry, they should have their own funds or at least privately funded to start the ball rolling.
If not, and relying only from possible buyers, I don't think they will succeed with their targets.
2247  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 StarBets.io 🎲 || A Crypto-based iGaming Platform 🎲 on: March 17, 2022, 11:56:01 PM
When the people new to casino, surely they will lose huge amount of money. So they started to all over the support to back their money. But when they come to now the loss are temporary. They will stop complaining and start playing the gambling. The roadmap of the project was different. Many new casino is coming daily. But only the real and ethical one survive over a years. The scamming casino games, will come an earn small money and fly to the dark room.
This is why we have to be very careful on choosing casinos because we are playing with our money and we should not deal to any new site without analyzing if the project is legit or not. Though with regards to losing money while playing, this is pretty normal in gambling. Anyway, welcome to the forum OP, looking at the project seems ok to me though I still see some missing information on the road map but let’s see if they are going to follow it.

If you encounter a new casino, you should really not send big amount to test the site.
Usually, you will send small funds to try their games according to your liking.
Also, you need to look out for complaints or feedback of early players.
Being new in the community, of course, they will resolve their player's issues as soon as possible.
2248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: P2E gaming is rising, big names like Ubisoft and EA Sports are joining... 👀 on: March 17, 2022, 11:40:53 PM
I am not surprised that names like EA, Ubisoft and the rest are in gamefi industry. I play some p2e games like Splinterlands, MOBOX and Axie Infinity but i don't see that can hold me on long terms, but hope in future be more interesting games. I heard that some good games are releasing this year for example ENGN this summer is gone publish new game that was done in Unreal Engine. So i think that in future p2e games are gone be more and more played.

The longevity of the P2E gaming platform depends on the team behind it.
So if the team is already satisfied to what they acquire, in terms of funds, they can easily abandon their project.
But for companies that are already established like Ubisoft, high likely that they are thinking of long-term goals.
They won't abandon the project for nothing. In this case, it is better to invest in a p2e platform backed by established company.
2249  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine has legalized the cryptosector on: March 17, 2022, 11:03:10 PM
I thought they made it (or were making) crypto currencies legal before the war started. But weren't crypto currencies already legal over there? Or did they belong to the grey area? Because I have seen many Ukrainian based exchanges swapping between coins or digital wallets like paypal.
Anyway, good move by the government. At least the citizens will be able to protect their assets if they hold everything in bitcoin. Would have been better if they made it a legal tender. Eventually though will happen.

Making it as legal tender I believe is not an immediate solution to this situation.
Just be glad that they are now recognizing the importance of crypto market.
They received hundred of millions of dollars courtesy of crypto, this is why they recognized its importance during this war.
Legalization is already a good step in terms of adoption. We can't ask too much during this crisis.
2250  Economy / Economics / Re: The ruble is going to hell on: March 17, 2022, 10:07:01 PM
Of course, the reality is very different from his plans. Even if in the future we manage to stabilize the situation, it will be very different from the previous indicators. Its no longer possible to return to the previous values. If a default happens, the country will go back to the 1990s, and this is a complete failure! I think it will have a big impact on the rest of the world.

We can't be so sure that their future is hopeless. They will recover but it would take years, maybe.
But if you are an investor, who believes that ruble can recover in the future, you can buy now while it is cheap.
But you need to wait and that waiting period is not a guarantee also. It is your choice if you want to take the risk.
The recovery period maybe long, but I think, they can. It is not the end of the world for them.
Remember, there are countries that still want to trade with them, just like China.
2251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 16, 2022, 11:53:22 PM
True! Spence should refrain from being too confident on Ugas because he might suddenly gets overwhelmed, we don't know as everything is possible and it's better to be safe and cautious if he still wants a bigger slice on taking his next fight against Crawford. Just saying though!

Ring rust shouldn't be a problem to Spence, he just needs to train and prepare harder to avoid being rusty in the ring. Even Thurman avoided it so Spence here can also do that.

I don't think that Spence will be too much confidence. Once he stepped on the ring, he knows that he needs to win. He knows the capability of Ugas and even he thinks that he can surely dominate him, he will always be serious. Just imagining what he will lose when he is defeated by Ugas will make him more dedicated to winning the fight.

An upset loss will make him feel downed. He will also lose his hold titles. The expected big money he can bring home once he is faced with Crawford will also gone.

Spence has lots of things on his shoulder that will boost his strength mentally and physically. Ugas is like facing a big wall here but there's always a chance for an upset. They are all both dedicated to winning this match.

Thinking about the possible consequences of losing this fight to Ugas will change the course of his boxing career.
So yes, I don't think he is taking this fight lightly. But for sure, both camps will be in serious training here.
There are belts that are at stake and of course their future careers are on the line.
This I believe, is one of the fights for this year that boxing fans are looking forward to.
2252  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin at $1 000 000 by 2030 on: March 15, 2022, 11:55:12 PM
We've got more 8 years for 2030. The market can grow in any direction and it should grow in same percentage as bitcoin have grown since 2008. There is more possible chances, but anything beyond certain limits could make it under valued. With Bitcoin more good news in terms of adoption, regulation and real time acceptance is happening from countries and firms that once stood against bitcoin and kept it on the ban list.

That's a long wait but for those who are preparing, why not?
For those who can afford and can take the risks, they can very well buy today and forget that they have bitcoin in stash.
But for most of us who can't wait that long, just keep up with the market, and grab the opportunity when it presents to you.
But $1M, just wow! Who knows? We can never tell the future. Just hoping for the best.
2253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Gas Fee is too High? on: March 15, 2022, 11:39:51 PM
Values of ETH quite literally multiplied from its value few years ago and the average eth gas increasing because literally so many eth enthusiast out there trying out NFT, the ETH platform is quite literally full of NFT right as of now.
if you are kinda tired of using ETH simply switch over in the second layer solution like BSC and matic, they are literally the same with some quality projects

of course there are various reasons caused this other than NFT but there are just too many reasons that thinking of it just wasn’t worth of your time, instead by using the other platform you could just literally doesn’t care in regards of fee unlike in ETh.
This time the gas price is so cheap unlike what you have said if that's so expensive.

The long-running issues in gas fees is the main reason of the rise of new networks like BSC, SOL or MATIC.
If you can't bear the burden of paying those fees, find a way how to utilize these new chains as they have cheaper fees.
A lot of ETH tokens are also switching to these networks because their users can't bear the fees involve under ETH.
2254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Becoming a Bounty Manager on: March 15, 2022, 11:08:59 PM
Popular manager : Yes
If you not popular : No

Until now, popular manager like Hhampuzz with high service quality still can be hired from the project. So, the demands still also good for people who have reputation and popular in here. If you start from zero right now, is gonna be hard for you and most the time will only offering cheap price because zero portfolio.

Thinking about being a BM? I suggest not.

Most of the reputable and known bounty managers are the ones receiving BTC-paying campaigns because serious projects are also looking for their portfolio.
If you have nothing under your name yet, what you can get are token-paying campaigns, and mostly will end up bad because they will disappear or won't pay.
But if you are serious to this path, you will start from something right? But if you have no patience, better not.
Because more than likely, the first projects that you will receive will either not pay you, or they will pay you but will end up as worthless tokens or coins.
2255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to go in crypto lets leave fiat cutrency on: March 14, 2022, 09:59:40 PM
You're ready to go all in but the world isn't.

It's still the reality that has to sink in that the world is not yet fully adopted to cryptocurrencies. Even we're all for that but how are you going to buy your goods and needs in a supermarket if they're not yet accepting bitcoin?

That's just the simple logic and reasoning that you have to think of. There's still a lot of stores that are not aware of it especially stores that sells our basic needs.

Im ready if its benefcial and prices cheap reseted towards my benefits other reason im not interested.
If i can buy  nice villa with  5 doge coins as prices will be cheap as economic reseted...well then yes im full in and im ready to say only good things about crypto.

Every person has their own preferences when it comes to investing their assets.
If you highly believe that the time will come for example doge to be very valuable, why not?
We are free here to make our own choices when it comes to investments.
But even if we say a lot are discovering the benefits of crypto, still, I don't think countries will abandon their own fiat over crypto.
We should be grateful that crypto is being recognized now by a lot of countries as part of their financial system.

6 lucky winners had under 1000 tickets! Smiley That is what I call luck!

But there are also people with 200k+ tickets... Won? Bought? No idea.

It's not gambling if you know you will win! And we don't know in which hands the Oscar is going, so we gamble! And as always, some will win, many will lose, it is important that it is interesting while it lasts! Generally, I never had some big luck with betting on Oscars, my taste is so different, so this year I have a help with my picks from others, as I said!

D. Washington has 2 Oscars, Will Smith none. Maybe it will be a lucky day for him. But I will bet on Benedict, just because I like him as a Sherlock.

Every award organization has their own taste when it comes to proclaiming the winners.
The BAFTA award gave the Best Actor to Will Smith, but it can be different with Oscars.
As the judges will be different as well as their mood, so you have hope with Cumberbatch in Oscars.
They are both good contenders on this category. The odds for Cumberbatch in Oscars is at 7.89 here, a very tempting odds.
2257  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 Contests 🏆 TvT 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: March 14, 2022, 09:16:17 PM
We have hit the grand milestone of 1 BILLION BETS 🥳🎉
Thank you all for being a part of the windice community 🏆
Finally the 1 billion bets milestone has obtained by the WinDice players, but it took a long time to reach that mark. 3 years is really a long journey. I created my account on May 2019, but I haven't spent much time in WinDice casino. I have placed only 682 bets since my registration date. Anyway, congrats to WinDice team and the regular players for this achievement. Hopefully WinDice team will be able to show some effective efforts to get more attention from crypto bettors in the near future.
Better late than never eh?

Only a few gambling sites do really able to reach out a billion wager even though this one do able to reach this milestone for 3 years but at least it did really able to achieve so.
This does significantly means that they are still doing good in the business despite on having low count of players but you could see that there still some support
or loyal players on the site.

@Windice .. Congratulations for this milestone and hope you would reach another one! Its true that it would be better if you are more that aggressive towards marketing.

Congratulations to windice for achieving this milestone!
Some casinos have been exiting on this business because they can's sustain their operations.
But with windice, even if we say, it took them 3 years, at least they are still maintaining the site and still keeping its community active.
I remember, they just started with dice game and look at them now, they have so many providers on board already.
No surprise if they will be exploring their opportunities in sportsbetting in the future.
2258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez 130-pound Title Unification Fight on: March 14, 2022, 08:43:53 PM
Well, Valdez has to find a way to beat his opponent if he displayed a good defensive skill, in the end, it's still not the most entertaining boxer who would win but the one who hit his opponent more than he gets hit, that's boxing, that's the sport we are watching.

Based on the betting odds, Stevenson is the heavy favorite to win. I'm surprised but that's how the bookies see this fight.

From this article, https://www.givemesport.com/87982471-oscar-valdez-vs-shakur-stevenson-betting-odds-what-are-they-currently ...  odds are as follows.

Quote
Betting Odds
PaddyPower currently has odds on the outright winner of the Junior Lightweight Title unification bout, and they are as follows:

Valdez to win: 11/4
Steveson to win: 1/4
Draw: 20/1

For Valdez bettors, the odds is very enticing, gett 2.75 (in decimal format) as a return of your money if you win is already good.

Yep, but sometimes bookies are wrong though in their odds making, so imagine Valdez being an underdog wherein he can pull and win this fight even with a knock out because he has power in both hands. So no worries for Valdez fans, they can easily pull the trigger in this one because of the odds and for sure maybe some whales are going to put a lot of big money on Valdez winning this fight.

Anyone is free to place their bets here, so take advantage if you feel the bookies are making a mistake on putting Valdez as underdog.
Some casinos are even giving Valdez odds at 3.75, so yes, this one is very attractive if you believe Valdez has high chance of winning.
Remember, not all the time that casinos are right. How many upsets have we seen in the past few months in the sports of boxing?
This will be your chance to earn good money if you are right with Valdez. So place your bets now while the odds are good.
2259  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 14, 2022, 07:32:35 PM

Popular celebs have a lot of fans and it can influence them to play on the same platform their idol is playing, the marketing spend by casino is going to be worth it. They can recover it and make more than it.

That's the expectation why he becomes an ambassador of Stake, without good result, it's a dead investment on the part of stake.com. So, this automatically means that stake is going globally as they hire a popular artist worldwide and you know what influence can do.

They don't need to pay all of the world's celebrities to spread the word about stake casino. You see, celebrities have such a strong effect, fans are willing to do, say, or wear anything their favourite artists do, say, or wear. If you look at a celebrity's life, you'll see that the majority of the products they use are simply sponsors, they don't own them, they only use them to get their fans to use them as well. That's precisely what Drake is doing, and that is why the first game he played I never believed he actually did it for fun but for partnership between stake and Drake management.

On the other hand, I believe that Drake was an active player on stake already before stake noticed him as potential ambassador.
I think, he was already a big roller even before this collaboration. Though it doesn't matter now.
Stake got Drake on their camp, and as it shows right now, a lot are getting interested on stake because of him.
So yes, it seems that he will give good income to the casino for this partnership. Anyway, the casino is already one of the big ones in this industry.
Later on, we may see other casinos following their steps of hiring known celebrities or personalities to promote their site.
2260  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 StarBets.io 🎲 || A Crypto-based iGaming Platform 🎲 on: March 14, 2022, 06:54:45 PM
Checked the site out and I liked the design which looks decent, but the UI needs optimisation since some elements overlap each other(Eg: Bottom of the page).

I advise getting rid of the BTC withdrawal fee which has become the trend these days in the crypto gambling world. Also, an FAQ section answering common queries(Minimum deposit, Minimum withdrawal etc) needs to be added too.

I don't think it is good to remove BTC withdrawal fee from their end because as a new casino, they will go bankrupt if they will shoulder the fees.
They are charging smaller fee as compared to other casinos. If they want, they can charge dynamic fee, which is according to the network upon withdrawal.
FAQ would help some new users to answer those basic questions. So yes, would be nice if they add this section.

@StarBets, I assume the dividend pool is already the actual amount the casino has right now.
Having about 1.06BTC and 158907 TRX in the pool. Which is considerably right for a starting casino.
And here, they are also launching their own token, STAR, so we will see if their token can also attract interest from the community.
