1241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Starting to Think The Bottom May Be Close? on: January 11, 2023, 07:07:59 PM
What is your main reason for asking this? have not mentioned if willing to invest or just curious to what will be the future prices?
On his last sentence he is asking if he will accumulate. The OP came from Twitter and it looks like he have some good backgrounds at analysing the price because he already laid out some samples there. He came here asking for a second opinion other than relaxing for a while in twitter. I agree on the sample analysis that he laid there.

$16k is indeed solid which is why I don't think we fall beyond that point but I don't also think that we will fall below $17k. So the OP should hurry up now and accumulate more coins before we saw more price increases. There will be pauses and then there will be small decline, which we can use again for accumulation.

I would also like to congratulate the OP for finding this forum as he can get a lot of valuable insights from here on.
As he has a lil bit of an idea what's going on, he can be considered not really a newbie in crypto.
If he does believe in the capability of btc, of what it may contribute to the financial market, he can invest anytime he thinks he can afford to.
As everyone is reminding everyone, just invest what you can afford to lose, don't loan money or any of that sort, because no one can assure where the market is heading to.
1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from my mistake, these people aren't playing on: January 10, 2023, 09:57:34 PM
Never ever assume that some token with famous name has anything to do with the original project. Because in most cases, it has zero to do with it. In fact it's a guarantee of future rug scam.

Creating a token is not regulated in any way, anyone can name their token to anything and list it to most indexing sites. People even traded squid token that was total llegal ripoff from squid game and no one batted an eye. And then acted surprised when it was a rug.

I remember before, some scammers will change some of the letters on the site name like from l to 1.
So people at first, won't distinguish the difference. They thought it is also the official website of the project.
This is a reminder to everyone that scammers are still not changing their tactics, as long as they can screw up these gullible people, they will.
This is also the reason why we need to be meticulous in joining those sites as fraudsters are everywhere.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we really make a living in sports betting? on: January 10, 2023, 09:13:43 PM
I heard lots of stories online that there are people who are making a living in sports betting, and honestly it really inspires me that's why I'm still gambling now.
What you heard that can be true but it's is also true story that I have been seen lots of people in my life whose became the streets beggar for gambling in sports and Moreover, I have seen people who gamble and run away from the area, leaving behind their wives and
children.
However, I have seen very few successful people it can be also say that haven't see anyone who make a living from gambling. Because the win ratio is much less from the loss. Because it's true that good and skillfull analysis can bring some benefits to prediction in sports gambling but overall it is also in gambling so you must have to depend on luck .
I  will never give anyone to that inspiration to make living by doing sports betting  but it can be take as a entertainment purpose.

People should also consider the reality of sportsbetting, very few have the success on this activity.
Yes, they can use those people as inspiration but they should consider their financial conditions.
Because if they will follow their desires to reach the status of those successful bettors, they may end up bankrupt or worse in deep debt.
Those successful people have their own share of losses, and with long years of betting on particular sports, they already gained expertise on such sports.
It is not an overnight familiarity of the sports, but years and years of following and knowing the sports, hence, they achieve very good grasp on that sports.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A superstitious strategy? on: January 09, 2023, 08:27:16 PM
When you play dice and if you win, the best thing is that if it's enough you manage to have that part of the balance for you to enjoy and the other part for you to continue enjoying it, what happened to you happened to me a lot, and you feel Too bad for losing that way, because at one point you have a good balance, and then if you start playing later you lose it, it's not pretty, it's not nice, you can even get sad, and with every reason, but the advice What I give you is, try not to use the martingale (the first option), the other thing is that when you have good profits, half will laugh (you must enjoy what you tried) if you lose your other half it doesn't matter, that can happen , but at least you removed the other one and enjoyed it, that's better than losing everything.

That's right. When you win enough to have doubled your starting deposit you should withdraw it and have fun with the rest without fear or remorse.

OP won some money and couldn't stop thinking about it, wanted to keep playing. Came back and lost it all and it did not happen because of luck or superstition. It happened because you can't keep winning in a game of chance. Most people lose so if you managed to win you should have at least take your profit and have a break instead of coming back the same day.

I'm not superstitious but your luck has its limits.

Well, most gamblers have that kind of mentality. Test the luck up until you have no more bankroll to play with.
That is true, if you want to make sure you have something at the end of the day. Better keep your profits aside.
Just play what you have and if you lose it, then call it a day. Go back when you feel you are refresh for the day.
Because any superstitious belief doesn't matter if you don't have your luck on your side, particularly with luck-based games.
You can't test to what extent you will have your luck in your games. It just comes and goes without a warning.
1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Are Players Going To Trust Casinos If They Don't Show Solid Evidence on: January 09, 2023, 07:08:35 PM
That is why it's really important to read the casinos terms and conditions before making the first depo. Casinos put the rules on the table and are our decision if we want to play with their rules or not.

Most casinos don't allow multi accounts, betting bots, and some other stuff, but casinos like Just-Dice give zero fucks about multiple accounts and bots, so, we have the option to play in strict sites or not.

In the end, if the casino says that we broke their rules they are in the right to size our accounts, that's part of the TOS.

Unfortunately, most players just agreed with the terms without browsing its content.
And I believe, a lot of people are guilty of that. They will only start scrutinizing the terms once their account is frozen is suspended.
But it is really advisable to read the casino's terms if you are planning to deposit funds, whether small or big amount.
Because you are at least making sure that your funds won't go to nothing. Who knows you will get good winnings after your small deposit?
If for some reason, the casino confiscated your funds and they have reason to do so based on their ToS, you have no battle here.
1246  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♠️♥️♣️ CoinSlotty.com - Welcome Bonus, Free Spins, VPN Friendly, KYC from 2 BTC on: January 09, 2023, 05:56:43 PM
They certainly do KYC with less than 2BTC.

I played here the last few days and they requested lots of personal informaton when i tired to withdraw the first time. I filled it all in and resubmitted and now are asking for documents.

I only deposited about $250 and didnt take their welcome bonus.

Hey Smiley I'm sorry about that, if you could let me know your nickname I can check in the system and move things forward for you faster.

BitcoinTalk members have a priority in the queue so just let me know your details via PM and I'll sort it out for you Smiley

I've sent you a PM!

Update: I've located the member on our casino, this has been escalated, and we're resolving it asap.

By replying promptly to the user above, I feel that you do really want to resolve things fast and fair.
If you will continue this kind of attitude, taking care of your players, whether big or small issue, I can say, you will gain more players from this community.
Because the truth is, most casinos don't resolve issues right away. Up until the player is already pissed off, and he needs to make noise to be heard by the site.
Players sometimes need reassurance that the site is taking care of their customers especially if they are not violating any of their terms.
Remember, players' valid feedbacks are important in gauging if the casino is indeed respecting their terms to earn how credible they are in this business.

By the way, I saw that you can redeem some of the items from your bonus shop when you accumulate some RCPs.
This has similar concept from freebitco of their RPs, where you can convert it to some specific prizes you want from their list.
Anyway, good luck to your journey in this forum, and it seems to me that as a rep, you want to make a good image for your casino.
Reputation is not earned overnight. So if you keep up with this behavior, you will gain more patrons from this community.
1247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there truly crypto whales and what are your takes on them? on: January 08, 2023, 09:52:28 PM
Others have already pointed out that very rich addresses often belong not to individuals but to crypto exchanges, casinos and similar enterprises. And yes, technically, an exchange can perform massive scam, stealing lots of money, but the chance of that happening isn't high and the chance of such funds being poured into attempts of manipulating the market price of Bitcoin seems even lower.
Are there some people who are Bitcoin billionaires? Yeah, most likely. Do they have enough power and motivation to use all that wealth to manipulate the price? I don't think so. So to me, whales don't exist. At least not when it comes to Bitcoin.

Or even if whales exist, they won't manipulate the market because it is not their advantage to do so.
If only one whale will do such manipulation, it may create a dent but not sufficient to sustain the market.
So it may be a sudden movement, but it will just go back to where it was. And remember, these whales are not communicating with each other.
If a certain big whale can see that he can manipulate the btc market, maybe someone already would have done that.
But when it comes to btc market, I don't think they can, unless all of them unite and decide what they want, but that's not gonna happen.
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Cassino Continue With Wagering Requirements, If Abuse is Eliminated? on: January 08, 2023, 09:37:13 PM
Even if abuses or cheats made by players are eliminated, there's no way that a casino will stop doing wagering contests and other bonuses because that's already part of their long term plan.

They have a budget allocated for it and that will make more players to come.

It's encouraging as a player to see such wagering contests and bonuses if the requirements weren't that much or even it's just a free spin as a reward, many will participate and are happy with that.

They are just subjecting themselves to abuse if they will not put some conditions with their bonuses.
They are operating in cyberspace so expect that a lot of fraudsters or scammers will try their hands on if there will be no requirements at all.
The business can easily go down if they will not secure their business first.
Remember, scammers don't care if they will siphon all the money of a certain site, as long as they can pocket some money.
So don't think that casinos will remove their requirements or conditions with their bonuses.
1249  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: January 08, 2023, 08:56:11 PM
Fun token is among the altcoins I've been debating whether to buy and hodl or not, considering the fact the token is really cheap right now at its current price of $0.006, makes me really hungry to buy it,
But am not really a fan of buying a token and staking it for reward alone, I always like to know what other usecases is attached to the altcoin, a token with out any tangible or significant usecase that's outside staking will just keep doing down in price over time.

So aside the staking and other casino benefits holding Fun token offers, it would really be interesting to know what plans Freebitco have for their token in the future, I think this will encourage more investors to come in.
Are the usecases for this token purely only inside freebitcoin or are other casinos using this as well?

I am a little conflicted. One one side i want to wait until Funtoken is worth next to nothing and buy the max amount i can in order to get my bonuses/benefits.
It could still go down and confidence of the markets haven't restored yet.

On other side i am sure that there are whales looking at this and balancing the cost/profit ratio for staking. They would stack their accounts full of it when it's cheap enough. And if i wait long enough whale activity could make price peaking before i get change to accumulate.

You can also use the FUN token on their casino - https://dplay.casino/, which are only accepting FUN tokens at the moment.
What I like about this token is it is already listed in the big exchange - binance.
Most casino tokens are being traded only on DEX or small exchanges.
With the long existence of freebitco in the crypto space, high likely, a lot are still interested in holding FUN tokens.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: recommendation for gambling platform on: January 08, 2023, 06:39:11 PM
I think that there are quite a lot of game sites using crypto right now. What they promote here is almost 99% using crypto. Of course you can avoid untrusted sites and can use sites that get recommendations from trusted people in this forum. .

Casinos that are very active on the forum are hardly scam casino and any that have found to be a scam get flagged immediately so nobody has to be bothered about getting scammed here. Newbies should always wait on the feedback from the community before using any new platform that launches an announcement thread on the forum.

We just have to be careful because scammers are everywhere to take advantage of you when you fall a victim of their scam. Casinos like 1xbit aren't to be trusted and we have others too so anybody wanting to gamble with recommendations from the forum should watch out for those been promoted by highly trusted members.
They can research all the casinos he meets on this forum to find a casino they can trust. After all, he can also get the list from the thread given by the members here who have tried the sites one by one and they really found the trusted casino. Yes, they should be wary of casinos with so many unresolved issues that they should stay away from them. Don't hesitate to ask the members here because they already have sufficient experience playing gambling at many casinos and will definitely recommend that trusted casino.

By now, the OP should have already seen or played in reputable casinos found on this forum.
As he asked from this forum, if he will read all the replies, he should have gotten very good information that he can use to look out for these sites.
Better stick to the ones found here with very active rep rather than unfamiliar casino which doesn't have any thread or support from this forum.
I believe, that is one advantage of having those threads from casinos or bookies, you can easily get help or assistance if their thread is active.
It will also show if they are taking care all kinds of players, whether small or high roller. In this way, you will know if they are worth your resources.
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Are Players Going To Trust Casinos If They Don't Show Solid Evidence on: January 08, 2023, 06:19:55 PM
It usually comes down to the numbers.

If a casino gets a lot of unresolved accusations, eventually people will begin to lose trust in them.

The reactions will go from "unresolved? it's probably a cheat attempt by the player" to "there's something going on with that casino because it's a 5th time someone complains this week"
Trust me, the community works even when there's not enough solid evidence against a casino a lot of accusations can change how people see the business.

And with those unresolved issues, will give a hint to players that the casino is not worth going to.
People talk and if the snapshots are valid, they are more than enough to give a warning signal not to play on that casino.
If you are a player who does the job of searching and reading the reviews, you may be saved from scam casinos.
It is how the casino reacts and resolves the matter on hand, and players can see if they are fair or just looking for an scapegoat.
1252  Economy / Economics / Re: If your passive income beats inflation rate, deposit might be a better choice. on: January 07, 2023, 09:59:09 PM
Generally speaking you should never hold more fiat than you need (eg. emergency funds for an emergency situation). After you deduct your expenses, however much fiat you are left with you should invest in something that can be considered a store of value while trying to diversify as much as you can.
In my opinion it doesn't matter how much your income is and how much interest rate your bank gives you, you still need to invest your fiat into something better.

Bitcoin, gold and real estate are the best choices in my experience. Things like stocks depend a lot on the economy and could crash hard while the risk of the same scenario is lower in those 3 markets I mentioned (it is not zero though).
Also, fiat is expecting to depreciate its value in the long, so why hold most of it? Even if banks will offer high interest rates, for me that would still be enough and will never be reasonable. Fiat will still create a big difference if you decide to invest it in potential investments like bitcoin, real estate and gold. The more you diversify your investments, the bigger the profits you are expecting to gain. Saving in banks is good, but it will be more helpful and profitable investing them in investments with high ROI.

Saving in banks is just like keeping your money safe and secure but not earning interest.
The interest offered by banks are so small, it is deemed negligible even after a year of holding your money.
So yes, if you can diversify it with other investments like real estate, that would be better.
Because with real estate, we know most of them are increasing its value thru time.
Gold is a tangible asset also that is good to invest as it has been in this market since time immemorial.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis VS Hector Luis Garcia SAT, JAN 07, 2023 on: January 07, 2023, 09:44:30 PM
Both make weight at 134 lbs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O36SPWBYP3c

I don't know but seems to me that Davis looks weight drain, nevertheless after the weigh-in, he can rehydrate and probably might be close to super welterweight during the fight.

So finally we are here, odds still stands as Garcia is almost 9:1 underdog. The over/under is 7.5 rounds. Goodluck to those who are going to bet on this fight.

Will be interesting if upset will happen on this match but seems unlikely to happen.
If upset, don't know if davis vs garcia will push thru. But let us see...
It seems that this will go the distance, with odds of 4.xx, whereas, if this fight will be over 7.5, has the odds of 1.7x.
The odds for the fight going the distance is very tempting to place your bet with but bookies are highly favoring davis on this match.
1254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you experienced this kind of gambling on: January 07, 2023, 09:03:25 PM
Have heard of people waking up to go play draws on numbers they probably saw in their dreams while they were sleeping, and another where certain persons also place their belief on getting draws from mad persons on the streets (a situation where they buy food for the said mad man who in turn writes down numbers that would play draw on pool that very weekend), of which in most cases these numbers tend to play.
But in my whole time as a gambler and even amongst my gambling friends I have never heard of gambling based on jerseys number sign due to how repeatedly they flash on TV. It's quite weird though but I understand that gamblers can pull out every strategy possible just to get winnings anyway!  No matter the strategy anyone uses, what really matters is winning's.

Pretty common in communities and countries suffering from poverty, or low quality of education. In the Philippines alone it is considered lucky to bet on the dates of your close relatives/children and spouse if there's any on the country's major lottery. They thought these numbers have a bigger significance than just being plain dates where their children were born, thid leads them to bet and bet until they finally win or they die, with the latter being the obvious case. It's a curse of having a pattern-loving brain like humans. Back then it allowed us to be safe in the wild, now these heuristics and biases hold us down by forcing us to cling upon correlation without causalities.

I believe a lot have such kind of belief connecting to certain events just like what you said, maybe birthdays of close family members.
It is sometimes the way of thinking that somehow affect their decision of betting on it, the belief that there's significance or connection on them.
However, if we will look at it logically, there's no such thing as connection but rather a coincidence if someone got lucky to hit those numbers.
Just like the jersey numbers, it is because the mind of some wanted to believe something for what is really not. They want to cling on such belief.
1255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it advisable to memorize seed phrase? on: January 07, 2023, 08:20:11 PM
Memorising seed phrase is good, but human mind always makes mistakes. Something wrong while memorising or if something is forgotten, then what is been into the wallet goes unused. Better choice is to write down the seed phrase and keep it securely. In one way or other we need to keep things pre-planned and the same getting carried over to the upcoming generation. If not what we have earned go unused.

In my opinion, it is not practical as at some point, you might forget one word from those long list.
You can never be sure that you will always remember those seed phrases.
Better write it down and securely keep it where you think you will remember it and see to it that the place is safe and secure.
I won't trust myself with memorization. Sure, we can memorize it but how long?
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Running a casino during crypto crash on: January 06, 2023, 09:57:14 PM
Opening or managing a casino is always lucrative. I don't think a crypto collapse will have much of an impact on that. People are always gambling. You do have to have a certain policy if people play in a certain currency, if it goes the other way, like a sharp increase, then I wouldn't cash out all BTC and other crypto to your bank account. You can then become a thief of your own wallet because the price for players has suddenly become a lot more favorable. A crash is always short-lived, as we have seen in the past. There will always be a time of recovery for the crypto, and that will also encourage players to gamble more. Players aren't as likely to worry about temporary crashes when gambling.

As we have seen, people gamble no matter what the market situation is.
BTC price goes up and down, and yet, people still gamble their money.
They may reduce their spending habits, but they will always play.
This is why, casinos and other gambling sites survived during the pandemic period and other crises.
Offline casinos may be closed, but online casinos will always be open 24/7 without interruption.
It now depends on the casino owners how they will tackle different scenarios and offer rewards or bonus in every bottleneck they will encounter with.
1257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An Example of Not your Keys Not your coins on: January 06, 2023, 09:44:11 PM
Thanks to Celsius’s “unambiguous” terms and conditions, any cryptocurrency assets — including stablecoins — that were deposited into Earn Accounts, became Celsius’s property, the filing stated.

I'd say in this case, it's more correct as an example to read the whole terms of service rather than not your keys not your coins, because everyone already know when they deposit to centralized website, the third party has a control over your coins. While in this case, Celsius's terms of service make them win about the coins ownership. If Celcius didn't write such rules, the customers will win this legal court.
That is why if there are terms and conditions listed, we should read and understand them so that we will not end up regretting and blaming ourselves. But even if there are no terms listed, we should never stick to centralized exchanges no matter what because we are giving them the permission to have an access of our account when in fact, it should be only ourselves have the sole access to our own wallet.

Unfortunately, most of us don't read the terms of these exchanges or trading platforms.
Usually, we just click the agree button even if we haven't read their terms and understand what it is trying to imply.
But if you won't read the terms, just make sure you are not leaving your funds in those platforms for long.
So you won't be worrying if you can still get out your funds or not. After you make a trade or avail any of their service, withdraw it to your own wallet.
People will only realize their shortcomings once a certain platform got bankrupt or closed their services.
1258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Die or Pump Up in 2023? on: January 06, 2023, 09:06:47 PM
The possibility of bitcoin dying is out of the question and will never happen. We should give up with trying to assume bitcoin could ever die, too many people think there is a possibility of it and if you know what bitcoin is about, you would know that it could never die. The reality is that we are going to maybe not do so well, like how we did in 2022 but it didn't die, it just had a bad year, or maybe we will have an awesome year and break ATH and go super high, or maybe even something in the middle, like going up but not going up that much. But no matter what happens, dying is not a possibility, it will pass ATH again eventually, maybe this year, maybe next, maybe 5 years later, but it will happen, no matter what.

I am also on this side. There's no doubt btc will not die for the moment as compared to years ago, the adoption is already different.
But the pump, no one can assure when will this happen as even experts can't determine the timeline for this scenario.f
Let us just hope that good news will come this year so it can give positive vibes in the market.
Adoption is growing, but we need a solid good news that can provide hope to crypto users and sustain their positive outlook towards this market.
1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto payments for online purchases: Trends in 2022 on: January 05, 2023, 08:03:11 PM
This year adoption will be more massive than that of last year, with the economy crisis happening around the world, and with the way governments are taxing every payment made under it's local currency, business owners and Marchants will be forced to adopt crypto as means of payment to avoid most taxes.

With merchants looking for other alternative payment methods, bitcoin will really come up as one of the top choices for them.
Though they are reading some negative news pertaining to the crypto market, but still some are trying to get hands on btc.
Most businesses are going digital, and crypto is a very candidate to be included in the digital payment methods.
If one business owner is satisfied with the inclusion of btc in particular, he will possibly endorse it to his colleagues, and word of mouth is a very good marketing tool.
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The founder of Clucoin just quit after admitting to have gambled investors fund on: January 04, 2023, 09:49:15 PM
Altcoin founders today are just becoming worst and worst as time goes. They are becoming irresponsible and don't know what kind of risk they are facing on things they are doing. I've seen some articles that SBF also gambled his money to get his lost funds just like this founder of Clucoin. We might not know but there's a chance that there might be another founder that gambled their project funds to regain something. Gambling addiction of this founder is just so much that he came to this point, I believe that this project is unfixable given that the project head is an addict and messed up so much so I don't think that this project will have a chance for recovery.

And this is why a lot of developers are finding it hard to get investors because of scenarios like this.
The technology itself has nothing to do about its failure, but mostly it is the developers that are digging their grave.
It may not be the last story of  a founder or developer that will be entangled in gambling addiction or similar financial woes,
so everyone should really be cautious in getting involve with coins or tokens. The reason why most are still sticking to btc.
