And put them where?

local wallet, cold storage man...read up

Thanks, i've found some desktop wallets but not sure which is the best/safest, what you recommend? And if desktop wallet is a program, a virus on my computer could infect it?

https://www.ledgerwallet.com/products/ledger-nano-s

https://shop.trezor.io/?h=7472657a6f722e696f

I have a Trezor and it works brilliantly.  I'm going to buy a ledger because it supports some alt coins that the Trezor currently doesn't support.
Trezor is working on a new model which is why little work is being done on adding new coins to their exisitng product.
There is also the keepkey which is based on the Trezor.

is crypto done??  Huh

Done. Worse than this fucking steak. We're all totally screwed.

The Alts are bleeding more than that steak !

2243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine on: October 03, 2017, 02:41:29 AM
Cryptopia delisting Signatum because they have always trouble with the signatum wallet...the web wallet https://wallet.signatum.io
doesn not work for over 7 days at least maybe more...
such a shame!

That is not true. Cryptopia blamed the earlier version of LevelDB as being the reason. This however was never the case. They blamed similar reasons on Siacoin and VISIO delisting (well established projects!).

SIA coin had known wallet problem. Even tge devs released this statement regarding wallet issues on Poloniex :

I wanted to give you guys an update about Poloniex. We were hoping to have the issues resolved a lot quicker, but given that withdrawals are still somewhat flaky, we want to reassure everyone that we're focused on fixing the issue quickly, and that to the best of our knowledge coins are not missing.

What we know about the issue
Poloniex is having issues where they are submitting transactions to the network, but the transactions are not appearing in the blockchain. I think that this problem covers 90%+ of all withdrawal issues that people are having with Poloniex.

The Sia wallet has a transaction pool. Transactions are put in the pool and sent to miners, and then miners use the pool to pick transactions to put into blocks. When we created the transaction pool, there was some issue that prevented us from making a large transaction pool - it started having significant performance issues once the pool got to something like 2mb in size (the size of one block). Rather than fix the issues, we capped the size of the pool to 2mb and decided we would fix it later, once we had more users. This decision was made more than 2 years ago, and we did not expect to hit the block size limit as fast as we did. Bitcoin for example did not start to have problems with full blocks until a few years ago.

2244  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin Under World War 3... on: October 02, 2017, 09:47:06 PM
What if WW3 destroys under sea internet cables? China/europe miners could have their own chain and Americas miners would have their own chain. What would happen when they connect back? Could 6 confirmation transactions be reversed?

I think you are right. Bitcoin (and any other crypto) will fork so many ways because the regional nodes won't be able to communicate with nodes in other continents or states. (At least we will have some BTC on each fork....)
Even if the electricity stays on - decentralization will be its downfall - until order is restored again.
It may however be a good store of value if it is in paper wallet or hardware wallet form. You can verify the balance and hand over an IOU based on the BTC value.

Rather than spending the actual bitcoins exchanges could cold store the BTC and provide BTC based tokens in the meanwhile that are either exchange based or on a localized network of nodes.

A bit like how gold, silver and assets were used to back cash. There could be an introduction of BTC backed IOU's by institutions that hold the BTC (I know this sort of defeats the purpose of BTC but it is a work around and financial institutions will continue to work out ways to get their hands on your assets) . The only issue would be that Governments don't take kindly to anything that may resemble cash.
2245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine on: September 24, 2017, 11:14:04 AM
I'v mined to exchanges for more then 5 years now with not to many issue just don't send small amounts of coins  if there wallets down you get your coins when there wallet comes back on line .I also bought Signatum on there exchange 300,000 and it's also missing long with the 195,000 I mined they where hacked two weeks ago when they forced the 2FA on log in's

Good reasons not to mine to an exchange:

1) Exchanges do not support generated transactions from pools like Eligius, P2Pool

2) Exchanges like Yobit change your wallet addresses sometimes - meaning you will not be credited your coins  - you will loose them.
https://bitcoinhwwallet.com/2017/08/08/yobit-net-users-caution/

3) Blockchain forks and wallet updates may cause you to loose your coins.

4) With most exchanges it is against their terms and conditions.

5) Exchanges REALLY DON'T LIKE IT and WARN against it.

6) It causes unnecessary strain on an exchange wallet and can contribute towards wallet problems.

2246  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: **SCAM ALERT** SIGT holders scamming Cryptopia ! on: September 24, 2017, 08:09:11 AM
Stop Trolling SIGT please. this post is about Cryptopia.

Cryptopia is being trolled by SIGT sockpuppets and shills.
2247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Cryptopia Exchange Safe and Legit? on: September 23, 2017, 04:31:11 AM

still wonder about the low volume and why not enough people trade there?

I don't see what the problem is here.

sa_ddam213 who is one of the owners of the site agreed with what Mr Floppy said about Cryptopia being a privilege not a right.

If you walk into a bar and cause trouble you get removed (sometimes forcibly) . Same with a forum or website. Break the rules and you're gone.

ti460 - You are a wallet developer and moderator for Signatum - I've seen you be far more arrogant and rude on this forum.

how many user accounts do you have in here cocksucker xtraelv

I'm still waiting for an apology and retraction for the BS that you posted about me.

jbelisle - is one of the wallet developers, moderator and developers of Signatum - I don't know what alt he uses on here.
I'm not even going to bother reposting some of the BS he has told on discord.

Cryptovore - (Core Signatum Developer) I don't know all the accountS he uses on here because he prefers to use sockpuppets.

Why doesn't he just use the one he already has that I know about ? Why does he have to use sockpuppets ? Sounds real legit !

You have a clear grudge against Cryptopia for which I don't even have to post screenshots because they only need to look at all the posts you have made about them on bitcointalk. I understand that you have some genuine issues with Cryptopia because they delisted your coin.
There were issues with your wallet which appear to have been caused by the wallet itself. It did take a very long time to resolve because it took such a long time to sync with the network.

In the meantime Cryptopia support staff were bombarded with angry emails and threats - which was instigated in part by "the Doctor".

Signatum community members started a deliberate campaign against Cryptopia which included false screenshots and misinformation - which was instigated by "the Doctor". That has backfired big time because it has publicly exposed lies, deceit and scams that has occurred within the Signatum community.

Cryptopia also has a community and most of those have been in Crypto for quite some time. Like myself they dislike Cryptopia unfairly being bashed.

2248  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [PUMP AND DUMP] Signatum is just another clonecoin scam targeting naive noobs on: September 22, 2017, 08:22:47 AM
Here is a link to the interview that the Signatum Team doesn't want you to hear. It is their current DEV "the Doctor" talking about how he helped manipulate another shitcoin.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-mhEI2BF24&feature=youtu.be

Very detailed info about Signatum & mining written by user Dan Jensen

In this interview you will notice that "The Doctor" will refer to this "user" as "part of the development team right from the beginning".

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-mhEI2BF24&feature=youtu.be

Lol....scam or not I made a small fortune mining it when it first came out. I still hold a good amount in case it ever matures into something worth having. Holding pays off 90% of the time, even if it's a dead end project.

Scamcoins are like a pyramid scheme or a ponzi scheme - at the end there are "bagholders" - this means that the value that is being traded will eventually end up having no value. The last person is the "bagholder" - they will loose everything. By promoting and trading a scamcoin you will eventually dupe the "bagholder". Unsuspecting newbies are often recruited to promote the coin. They will really believe in what they are doing - but their inexperience and nonobjective view based on getting only one side of the story makes them ideal pawns.

Listen to the interview and see if you still think this isn't run by scammers.

UPDATE: The Doctor is the same Dr. "Asif Masood Baloch" PhD from the Poolminers, Crypto Commerce, Digital Rupees and SARcoin scam

2249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine on: September 22, 2017, 07:53:53 AM
You believe that users should have to check the status of Cryptopia's wallets before sending a deposit there? Each and every time? Ridiculous.

Yes - that applies to every exchange. Don't send crypto to wallets that are in maintenance - it is common sense.

2251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine on: September 22, 2017, 06:39:06 AM
So let me get this straight you mined to a exchange address, some thing that all exchanges ask you not to do, The SiGT users that did this caused the wallet to break when it hit over 800000 transactions and now you are complaining you are not getting your deposits?,

Yes - they mined to exchange address - even though there is a clear warning not to do so - and they kept sending deposits to the wallet despite it being in maintenance and knowing there was wallet problems. They must be rocket scientists.
2252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Cryptopia Exchange Safe and Legit? on: September 22, 2017, 04:36:16 AM
If you use the chat you can be certain some moderator ego will take it as a personal insult and ban you.

This is true - if you insult a moderator or break the rules they will ban you. If you insult one of the
administrators they will flame you and use some colourful language and then ban you.

If you are breaking the rules or being rude to them and getting banned it is not funny for you.

But if you are in the trollbox or Discord at the same time and witness the exchange then it often can be hilarious and entertaining.
After all - it is a "troll box" and rule breaking trolls get ridiculed.

The admins also often give away free crypto on the trollbox and there is a bot that gives way free crypto too.
2253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Cryptopia Exchange Safe and Legit? on: September 22, 2017, 04:19:34 AM

how many user accounts do you have in here cocksucker xtraelv (from bulgaria, but your timezone tells me that you are located in the UK Cheesy)? Are you paid by cryptopia? why are you not using the LEGENDARY/TROLL accounts cryptodevil, Lauda? are the user accounts gmaxwell or Carlton also yours? Isn't one enough? Probably not, i guess you are trying to build up a new reputation to gain trust again to trick people, right? you shall not be trusted boy:

ridiculous, see! everyone should see his posting history: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=897509;sa=showPosts

HAHAHAHA ARE YOU FOR REAL ?

1) I have one account on bitcointalk. Any moderator can verify that.
To make it really clear - I do not have any Alts.

2) Cocksucker ? no thanks - I prefer women

3) Timezone is incorrect. Try again. You are not even close. Hint - it is an English speaking country. You may find that I occasionally leave out whole sentences, words or transpose letters but that is because I am dyslexic.

4) I'm not paid by Cryptopia. I do not work for Cryptopia. I have accounts on numerous exchanges but prefer Cryptopia.

5) I don't know Cryptodevil personally. Some simple homework would have shown that me and Cryptodevil have not always been
on good terms but we have made peace. I doubt he is from Bulgaria either - his English and grammar indicate he is probably also from native English speaking country. (BTW that rubbish you posted about him on the other thread - all nonsense - just because the username is used on another site doesn't make it the same person - It just makes you look stupid )

OH LOOK - were online at the same time ! Must be the same person ! Please tell me your other ridiculous conspiracy theories.

6) I don't know Lauda other than that he/she is a scambuster.

7) I don't know who the other accounts you are referring to are.

8 ) I don't have to have any other accounts to build reputation. Your feeble attempt to negative trust me doesn't show to to anyone
other than yourself and any idiot that you have on your trust network. But since you have been so kind to leave feedback I've returned the favour. The image that you posted is only one that you can see because you have removed default trust from your list. EVERYONE ELSE won't even see your rating cause you have no trust ranking on here whatsoever.

9) It just shows that you do no research and just troll, post hype and try to flame anyone that disagrees with your hype. I posted a link where the "the doctor" admits scamming people.  You've got excuses for lie, untruth and misrepresentation. The FACT is that the Signatum DEVS lie and have continued to do so. It is not a good basis for a reputation. It may be too late to save you from your own stupidity but hopefully it saves others from the scam.

Before now I have refrained from posting negative feedback on you because you hadn't given me enough proof that you were an intentional scammer - but that shit just got personal.

Anyway - here it is for your DEV to reply to:

- no work on coin code since release (There was 5 updates yesterday)
- 1st 1000 blocks mined by devs (No they weren't they were CPU mined)
- one main exchange left it, after trying to recover broken wallet no single thank you from devs, but threatening (They weren't contacting devs about the issues and randomly de-listed us)
- good luck if any serious exchange will try to touch it after above (YoBit did, a lot bigger than Cryptopia is)
- shitty community with 90% noobs and fake accounts (HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh)
- bans on discord after saying anything what devs don't approve (HuhHuhHuhHuhHuh)

Next FUDer?

Signatum had a premine and the first 1000 blocks were mined within 30 minutes of announcement with ultra low difficulty.

DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT ANYONE OTHER THAN THE DEVS HAD TIME TO CONFIGURE THEIR EQUIPMENT TO MINE THOSE ?

28 of those blocks were mined BEFORE the announcement.

This is a recording of your DEV admitting writing and executing malicious code on burstcoin so another Signatum Team member could financially benefit.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Signatum/comments/6tz3ro/what_happened_with_signatum_official_dev_doc/

Signatum community was banned after death threats were made and deliberately and repeatedly broke the rules. Your DEV got people to deliberately troll the Cryptopia. After someone threatened to burn down their home - your DEV posted a link to their personal addresses.
He also posted their personal addresses on Discord another time.  I have plenty more screenshots.

Wallet broke that Signatum supplied - Cryptopia with a lot of effort got it working and issued a statement identifying the problem. Two devs from the Signatum team said publicly that Cryptopia was incompetent and that the wallet issue was bullshit. While another Dev said that Cryptopia was doing everything it could. Only a day or so later they implement the change that the Cryptopia team identified as the fault with the wallet.

Is the Nova exchange wallet still stuck ?

2256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine on: September 21, 2017, 05:32:41 PM
1000 blocks is nothing compared to 50% premined ICOs, why is it such a big deal to you?

Because it is advertised as a FAIR launch with no premine. - that is deceptive

It is a bit like someone running past your house yelling"the race has started" while you are eating breakfast and haven't got your shoes on yet.
2257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine on: September 21, 2017, 05:21:18 PM
You know the latest official leveldb release was 20 days ago ? Do you think 100% of the coins are using it right now ?
Also, why Yobit doesn't have to update ? If they use the old leveldb from sigt, there will be a problem, no ?

Because they haven't had the level of transactions to the wallet yet. Wallets which have not had the same amount of use do not have the same problem.

Why cryptopia delisted more than 20 coins recently and put the listing fee to almost 10 btc ? because of wallet problem ?

Their prices are always in DOT and that fluctuates. I don't work for Cryptopia so I don't know the answer to your question.
I also think it is irrelevant.

I think it is more because, as they are a small exchange, they can't deal with so many listed coins. They were too greedy and now they can't manage in a correct way. So every time there is a problem, they prefer to delist the coin instead on working on a solution  because they are in a fucking rush, but they will never admitt they have a problem (see what they said for Visio : pure shit).
I never used this exchange before sigt because I knew it was shit, I will not use it anymore.

I think Cryptopia will be quite happy to get rid of the Signatum customers after the death threats and arson threats.

I was quite happy to leave Signatum alone but after the repeated trolling under the instruction of "the doctor" it has come to my attention.
When people start shouting SCAM - it attracts attention. I discovered a mountain of provable lies being told by your community and criminal behaviour.

2258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine on: September 21, 2017, 05:02:38 PM

You are a bit late with that -I don't think you want to discuss that coin AGAIN. Their wallet broke on numerous exchanges.
2259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine on: September 21, 2017, 04:59:01 PM

YEP, I had time to configure my equipment to mine on before block 1000, im here since ~10m after the Annoucement (im the second guy to comment) and also, what is 28 blocks (~0.0005%!!!) compared to total supply that is about 137M?

After 10 minutes only 660 blocks were left - you were probably a rarity so the DEVs would have still got most of that 1000 blocks. How many blocks did you actually get and can you provide proof ?

I provide proof with links and screenshots - I expect the same.
