2241  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bangko Sental ng Pilipinas on Crypto adoption on: November 10, 2020, 05:53:29 PM

Quote
“On cryptocurrencies, we do not see it significantly affecting the present demand for physical currencies,” Diokno said. “Cryptocurrency for us has always been beyond the asset itself, but more on the blockchain technology that underpins it. Blockchain continues to elicit interest around revolutionizing the delivery of financial services by providing an efficient, secure, and robust means of payment.”

The Philippines is the latest country to announce central bank digital currency research. However several governments around the world have expressed interest in launching a central bank digital currency to reduce costs and optimize efficiency when it comes to banking and finance. At the moment, China appears to be the country with a large economy to launch a central bank digital currency.

2242  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest threats to the price of Bitcoin. on: November 10, 2020, 03:17:57 PM
As the demand for Bitcoin grows so does it's value is true that the biggest threat to the price of Bitcoin is when the whales are in the market. These bring down the price of the coin a lot but the days of the whale are over increasing demand based on investment is not able to dominate the market. Biggest threats to the price of Bitcoin will take a long time to become centralised the government of a decentralised bitcoin country cannot easily controlled. Bitcoin survives depending on the market and both short-term and long-term investments are profitable.
I can't clearly understand your explaining here because you lack of indicating pause between the parts of your sentence. Anyways, whales are the one's who can manipulate and can be a threat on bitcoin's price because they are the one's who holds the largest amount of bitcoins, so if they will start selling their holdings there will be a huge dump. I also don't think that the government is a threat for bitcoin because even other countries have banned bitcoin. There are still some countries who accepts and they do not consider bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a threat.
2243  Economy / Economics / Re: After elections end this year for all countries, we are all screwed on: November 10, 2020, 02:40:31 PM
Please don't anticipate that there will be something bad will gonna happen in the year of 2021 because many people are expecting that everything will turn back to normal. I do know that war in other countries, natural disasters, pandemic of COVID-19, death of our loved ones, and other suffering in our lives is hard to prevent or to stop because it's part of life, but I still hope that 2021 will be different for the greater good.

It might not be as difficult as you thought. Though, each presidency with their unique way of ruling people and delivering campaigns promises. I just their would be changes but not certain about the amount of degree.
My concern is Btc pattern, I hope it doesn't repeat 2017 crash. It was all fine during October and November 2017 until December came in and then everything began to fall back. Election is over, no new cruise news Grin
Stay positive everyone, it can never be bad as 2020. We have seen enough.

I think we are in a better position than 2017, the bitcoin price is so strong at the moment that I don't see such a bit risk of a price drop. But even if the price would drop 20% we are still fine in my opinion. If we all keep believing in bitcoins there is no way the long term trend is not upwards.
Even we face a lot of challenges this year of 2020. Everything turned out very well for bitcoin because after the bitcoin halving, it's price started pumps up unexpectedly. So I think bitcoin's price will stay in the range of $15,000 and above at the end of the year because many people are holding their bitcoins for us to reach it's ATH again.
2244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: when is the right time to buy cryptocurrency? on: November 09, 2020, 02:08:14 PM
Most of the projects these days are not profitable to invest in ICO, IEO. It is seen that within a few days after listing on the exchange, the price of most tokens falls below the ICO or IEO value. In 2/1 projects like DIA tokens, I have seen that their tokens cost more than ICO or IEO value. So I think before investing in the ICO or IEO of a project, be sure to know the details of that project and invest or invest in the old top currency so that your risk is less and you expect profit.
Indeed. ICO and IEO projects are not profitable these days because most of them end up unsuccessful because they don't come up with a unique idea to develop or improve their projects, that is why their values in the market are very low. As many people suggests, we should only invest in cryptocurrencies that we've already seen potential or promising projects such as top coins in the crypto market to avoid risking our money.
2245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What haven't most people not heard about that can help them make money? on: November 09, 2020, 10:02:59 AM
Most people get into crypto investing in Bitcoin or Ethereum, those cryptos have already increased in value 1000x and another 1000x is going to be quite difficult. If you want to get rich in crypto you need to invest in projects before they have mooned, like 0xMR and ESH.
It isn't easy to get rich by investing in Bitcoin and Ethereum today because its price is already high. Unlike when you invest in early 2009, bitcoin's price is very low, so you might be insanely rich today if you invested that time. Also, investing in projects that do not yet have a high price in the market might be the right decision because if they are well-developed projects by good team members, you could earn a considerable profit from it.
2246  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is the best cryptocurrency exchange for beginners on: November 09, 2020, 09:37:09 AM
Exchanger is not actually determined for beginners or pros, because pro ones can still suffer losses.  You can trade on any exchange but choosing a large volume exchange will make it easier for beginners to understand how the situation and conditions are when trading.  for example taking advantage of the moment to buy or sell. And Of course many trader recomended binance exchange for trading.
Indeed. Whether you are a pro or beginner, they both experience and suffer from losses, so your trading strategy does not depend on the exchange you are using. I also recommend Binance exchange for trading because it is suitable for both beginners and pro and many people guarantee that Binance is a safe exchange. But some suggest Bittrex is a suitable exchange for beginners because it will be easier for them to understand trading in its user-friendly interface compared to Binance.
2247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is Bitcoin dumping right now? on: November 09, 2020, 08:28:33 AM
Is it because the Trump people have given up?

Is it because the Biden people are relaxing after what they think is a win?

I had hoped Bitcoin would actually make it to $20,000 this time!

Cool
Bitcoin's price is not dumping; it is just average for bitcoin's price to drop slightly because if bitcoin does dump its price, we probably are not in the range of $15,000+ price. Also, the US presidential election between Trump and Biden cannot affect the bitcoin market because both of them are not "fan of bitcoin" and will only ignore the existence of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
2248  Economy / Economics / Re: This is why bitcoin HAS to go up on: November 09, 2020, 08:08:42 AM
I do not considered as the main driver why the price goes up. For me what happen is hype and market sentiment, the chart of the bitcoin in the past weeks are becoming good then a certain company announce that they will accept bitcoin and it was paypal. It was the main catalyst why the price goes up and reaching $15,000 +. That news is only proving that the USD is weakening, the government keeps printing so much money and the supply is keep getting up that can cause inflation.
Many people and big companies consider that the acceptance of bitcoin in Paypal's network is positive that makes them make big purchases and pumps bitcoin's market; that is why we are currently experiencing a bull run, and bitcoin is staying in a $15,000+ price. The government is printing so much money to provide for their citizen's needs in the middle of the pandemic; that is why we are experiencing a significant inflation rate in the market.

2250  Economy / Speculation / Re: All time high is just around the corner are you selling all on: November 07, 2020, 01:07:00 PM
I took my profit already when bitcoin hits 11,000$, honestly I never knew that PayPal will come and drop the bullish bomb on crypto currency this year, I was aiming for 2021 lol, all the same it's never too late, we still have altcoins isn't it? Once bitcoin reach it's all time high dominance will bounce back and altcoins will take over
Too bad. You missed the opportunity and you didn't enjoyed the bullish market in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I think you made a bad speculation on bitcoin's price, that is why you end up making the wrong decision on selling all of your bitcoins when it's price is still $11,000.
Many people have been analyzing and speculating that bitcoin's price will reach it's ATH again, so holding your bitcoins is the best strategy for now because we are currently in the bull run.
2251  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May Maganda bang FUTURE ang Cryptocurrency kung si JOE BIDEN ang mananalo on: November 07, 2020, 10:13:42 AM
In my opinion it wouldn't be smart to make bets based sa information na to. I'd say if bullish ka sa bitcoin long-term, continue stacking regardless kung sinong maging presidente. Tongue

So true sir.

They have these statements na para sa akin ay canon so hindi naman talaga dapat nating sundin. Hindi natin alam kung ito ay isa lang sa mga article na balak impluwensyahan ang ating komunidad na para din sa kanila. Para saken, kung sinu man ang maihalal at umupo bilang bagong presidente ng US, diretso pa din ako sa goal ko na maginvest and magHODL as long as I can.
2252  Economy / Economics / Re: What is causing last few days' run-up? on: November 07, 2020, 09:47:34 AM
Current price 15726$, phenomenal, but I am wondering what is causing this run-up?
paypal? That is too distance past. Today is 11/5/2020.
Any intel on this?
Well. Even the acceptance of bitcoin and cryptocurrency on PayPal's network was a month ago, it still made a huge impact on bitcoin's price today because it is the reason why more people and big companies makes big purchases on bitcoin that makes it pumps up. So I hope that bitcoin will stay it's current price until bitcoin reaches it's new ATH next year of 2021.
2253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CAN WE STILL GET THE 2017 BULL IN THIS 2020? on: November 07, 2020, 06:33:57 AM
Bitcoin has crossed 15000 digits and I am sure soon Bitcoin will break the previous high price record this year. 2021 will be the crypto year and hope much good news will come gradually.
Indeed. There are possibilities that bitcoin's price will reach its ATH again when we enter 2021 because we are currently in a bull run that it's price now passed $15,000, so we are hoping that the bull run will continue in the year of 2021. But we should also expect that transactions fee will become more expensive when bitcoin's price will turn to $20,000 again.
2254  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin the best reserve asset? on: November 06, 2020, 11:35:12 AM
I also prefer bitcoin or any cryptocurrency compared to fiat currency, there is a high possibility that I could earn grom cryptocurrency compared to fiat, even though we cannot remove the concept of risk in cryptocurrency because of the volatility of it, but that feature makes the cryptocurrency uniques and better than fiat currency for me because it is really good for a long term investment and we could earn little by little as we know the rules of "buy low and sell high".
We all agree that we prefer bitcoin or cryptocurrency compared to a fiat currency. Here we could gain considerable profit by just buying or investing our money in it; that is why bitcoin is suitable for long-term investment and as a reserve asset rather than other investments such as gold and oil. The only problem we face in having bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as an asset is its volatility that it is hard to say when it will increase or decrease.
2255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 06, 2020, 10:42:54 AM
Many people commit suicide because gambling destroyed one's personal life, causing them to have problems and conflicts in relationships, work, studies, and financial life. It is why they end up angry, shameful, and hopeless with their life because they already have gambled everything that they have. A person shouldn't know about gambling because it could destroy one's personal life when he considers it as a source of income without noticing it.
2256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I accept Bitcoin for payments on my online store? on: November 06, 2020, 10:15:38 AM
I don't think that many customers will be ready to buy something with Bitcoin, but this payment option can make your shop more popular among bitcoiners.
It could be popular among bitcoin users near your shop, and it could increase mass adoption. But I don't think most of them will be using bitcoin as a payment method because some will be holding their bitcoin, especially during the bull run. They will also have problems paying considerable fees to complete the transaction.
2257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I 'delete' useless tokens from my wallet? on: November 06, 2020, 09:41:18 AM
I know useless token always shit. But, I think you will just waste Gas fees by sending that to another address. In my opinion, I suggest you not need to transfer that tokens.
Indeed. You will be wasting gas fees when you try to transfer your funds to another wallet, so I suggest it's better to ignore all of your funds and stay in your wallet because it is very unlikely for shitcoins to have a good price. So you won't be able to make a profit from it, even you try to risk money to pay for gas fees.
2258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 06, 2020, 06:16:11 AM
This has been considered the biggest political bet ever.

Quote
A British gambler has reportedly staked $5 million on President Trump winning Tuesday’s election — a wager believed to be the largest ever political bet.

The former banker used private bookmakers registered on the Caribbean island Curacao for the bet at odds of 37/20 — meaning he could get a $15 million payout, sources told The Sun.

In a few more hours, we will be announced the results of the presidential race. First, there was a $1M bet, now, $5M has been made. Politics aside, I love to see how people enjoy their happiness with gambling. No matter what the aspect is, they can always make an entertaining bet. Do our cryptocurrency gambling sites have a big wager like this?

Source: British gambler bets $5M on Trump in biggest-ever political wager
I think this British gambler gambles his money for fun because he obviously gave away all of his money that he made a huge risk by betting $5M for Donald Trump. But if I were him, I wouldn't bet on Donald Trump because Trump is currently out of the lead from Joe Biden. Also, many people in the US already had enough of Trump because he didn't make a good plan to solve the corona crisis in America.
2259  Economy / Economics / Re: Is COVID-19 an excuse for governments & central banks to print money? on: November 05, 2020, 03:13:40 PM
It is indeed interesting to discuss about the government that continues to print money in the COVID19 pandemic situation like now.
On the one hand, printing money is the fastest way to recover the economy, but on the other hand it will cause hyperinflation which
will add new problems. If hyperinflation occurs in the end it will make the people suffer, but the government must have the courage
to take this crucial step. And in the meantime I don't believe there is a hidden agenda or conspiracy from the government about
printing money.
Indeed. Printing money during the pandemic of the COVID-19 will never solve the economic downfall or the recession. It will only cause inflation, or it will increase the amount of money circulating money in a country's economy that people can demand or buy more goods, so prices of every good will increase. I think it is terrible news for every consumer because most people during the pandemic don't have stable jobs, so I hope the government plans to solve this problem.
2260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's Say Bitcoin is scam on: November 05, 2020, 02:49:39 PM
Let's just it is scam
How Long from Today we have left until Bitcoin will be done?
If bitcoin was a scam then probably from the past years there are so many news that has been reported this as a scam but no one does, if ever there was then probably they just use bitcoin as a front to scam people not necessarily that the bitcoin is a scam.
Indeed. If bitcoin were a scam, no one would probably buy bitcoin, and it has never helped other people become wealthy by investing their money in it. If bitcoin were a scam, no one would probably use cryptocurrency to deceive or scam people; the only reason why people used bitcoin in their illegal activities because it has a good value.
