2461  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Sky Mining CEO Disappears With $35 Million on: July 31, 2018, 11:33:47 PM
Overly high guaranteed returns? Must be a ponzi scheme, so this was bound to happen anyway. It's just impossible to sustain it, even if they had the rigs.

What I'm really intrigued is, why do the rest of team except the CEO are playing the victim card? Do they really not know anything?  Huh
2462  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is bitcoin the right cryptocurrency to start trading for a newbie? on: July 31, 2018, 10:24:31 PM
You would need to understand the basics of cryptocurrency and the risks that follows it particularly if you're into trading.

I wouldn't recommend jumping into the market right off the bat though. Even if you are briefed of the basics, you are still at a disadvantage if you don't have any experience on how the market works so go watch it for a while, preferrably while make-believing you are trading - sign up at any exchange, grab that note and write the orders.

And you might wanna check this cryptocurrency trading simulator, it's free: https://coins2learn.com/market
2463  Other / Archival / Re: 🔴[Scam ICO List] Ongoing scam ICO list considered by Coolcryptovator-28-07-18🔴 on: July 31, 2018, 11:10:51 AM
Hey! good job on busting these scammers

I have some suggestions for your thread though. It became long because you are quoting the whole post, you can just add a link to the thread(+ an archive link) or just omit the content of the quoted post, making it clickable alone. Imo, It's actually a hassle to scroll down in a very long op when I want to see the other posts, and it's not very pleasing in the eyes.

Second, yea keep all those busted scam ico's in one thread, It's more easy to look for when everything is in one place. It'll be an overview of busted scammers, If have time, a table would be nice.

Third, you could also ask others if they want an ICO to be added on the list, of course you will still review the evidences provided if it's sufficient enough.
2464  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Introducing TokenDemoDay on: July 30, 2018, 11:58:19 AM
Very fishy.

If they would be doing live stream Q and A sessions, there would an announcement prior to the event for the purpose of bringing more people and confirming it's true, and yet when I checked their twitter accounts and there was nothing denoting any participation to this. Take note that the event starts tomorrow  Roll Eyes
2465  Economy / Exchanges / Re: USING FIAT EXCHANGES on: July 29, 2018, 07:01:41 PM
Livecoin.net doesn't require verification unless you're going to deposit via bank transfer however the downside is this

I have been notified (please, see the "The Customer liabilities" section of the"Customer agreement"), that in order to be able to create tickets and to recover an access to my account (in case the account is inaccessible), I have to verify my account first. *

If you're comfortable with trading with other people, I suggest doing so because you'll eliminate any third party fees that way.

I'm seconding this! You could try to use localbitcoins to search for a buyer/seller and contact them directly. (I suggest using reversible payment method or trading in person)
You could also find someone here: Currency exchange (transact with trusted members or use an escrow)
2466  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is there a way (CEX.IO) on: July 29, 2018, 03:24:59 PM
I already started to do that. I have build so called "brigdes to pass" wallets which are not connected to each other so no one from the sniffers can know how much bitcoin I have in total, where do funds come from and where do they go. Isn't Bitcoin all about privacy and safety in the first place or do I got it wrong since the beginning a few years ago ? I do this because lately in Italy there has been quite some arrests for frauds in Bitcoin and that is one of the reason SKRILL restricted my account in the first place, (am still waiting from their side to lift my restrictions). I don't want to be on such radars cause I have no reason to be there, simple miner which keep my mining activity in a nearby country to pay less than half price for electricity.

If you don't want them to track you, consider using a mixing service (Check my sig), it does its job well in that field. They might not be connected with each other but transactions on each address is viewable to everyone and it could still be usable in tracking, especially if there's an address connected to an exchange.

Going back to your question, I too haven't heard of any exchange which allows you to do that, but I remember asking my local exchange the same thing and they said no.
What I think is, your unique address is somehow your name that indicates "it has something to do with you". Exchanges have this AML/KYC policies so having a unique address would be easier for tracking and making sure the user is adhering those, i guess.
2467  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Issues logging in to BITLISH ? on: July 29, 2018, 11:47:20 AM
Visited the site = works fine
Made a test account = works fine

I also tried checking their SNS and there was nothing indicating any technical issue.
If you want or if the problem still persists, write support ticket: https://bitlish.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/group/1

There's also a chance, the problem is on your side so you might wanna try clearing your cache and cookies and accessing the site in a different browser/device.

Oh yea, this should be on exchanges board. Move the thread by tapping the "move topic" in your bottom left.

2469  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What is XAPO support email ? on: July 28, 2018, 05:37:17 PM

I sent 0.55 btc to an external address with a priority charge, but more than 24 hours transaction status is just "Validating", what should I do? Whether I cancel transsaction and send in small quantities?

Is this your first transaction?

Xapo has this pain in the arse security feature where they will first asses the risk level of each transaction in order to avoid any unathorized ones. I don't know how they're doing it or on what basis but If I were a part of the the risk team, large amount withdrawals would get more attention rather than the small amounts so what you're suggesting could possibly help (although I can't guarantee it) However, it would also be weird if there are a lot of small withdrawals in a short period of time, better not do it in one go.

It is frequently another verification if ever an account gets flagged.

2470  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Seeking Feedback On Idea (Crypto Newsletter) on: July 27, 2018, 06:43:50 PM
I have a feeling, I'll get spammed so I don't sub. And when it comes to news, I prefer to read a single topic from different online publishers which is why visiting their sites directly is more suitable for me.

I too wouldn't want a daily newsletter. Maybe a monthly newsletter which summarizes what happened each month? an overview of news basically. I think I would want that.
2471  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies wearing signature; is it good or bad? on: July 26, 2018, 04:12:23 AM
Quote from: HabBear
You must be new here yourself. Newbies don't groom themselves. And those that realize how this thing works quickly rise in rank and fade into the masses without offending anyone or making an ass out of themselves.

Your suggestions are nice, I just don't think the newbs are listening.

Seconded! Seen that advice countless times ever since I joined here up until now, it gets repeated over and over and from what I'm seeing it doesn't seem to work, i mean it may have worked to few others but the majority most likely did not. What we need is something that forces them to - just like the merit system

About the topic, personally there's nothing wrong with newbies wearing signatures, what's wrong are spamming and account farming. I get that since it happens a lot with newbies (or other low rank users), people tend to have a fixed idea that all of them are but it's not really. There should still be a few decent users; their post history should say it.
2472  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where to buy virtual visa card with BTC? on: July 25, 2018, 10:05:54 AM
Here's a list of working debit cards: Bitcoin Debit Cards (updated July 12th, 2018)

As you can see, the only anon-accepted is bitnovo with a a single recharge for life up to 250 €. And since it isn't listed if the cards are also available in virtual form, I checked it and nah they are only available in plastic.

If you're in EU/UK, wirex do have virtual cards (USD, EUR, GBP) although the downside is you have to get verified.
2473  Economy / Exchanges / Re: how long to get support from Poloniex exchange? on: July 25, 2018, 09:06:44 AM
No, I've seen a number of people who waited more than a month. Searching on google would prove this.
Here are some examples:

Your support response times are inacceptable, Poloniex
Poloniex Ticket number order and resolution time
Anybody longer as 6 months with no response from support?
Response time Poloniex support over 44 days! Missing 30 Ethereum! Move there

A months ago or was it last year?? I however did see a youtuber claiming he got a response from them after a day. What he did is he sent another ticket, but this time, he made it as concise as possible so you might wanna do the same.

According from google concise means:
giving a lot of information clearly and in a few words; brief but comprehensive.
. (you better not forget the proof(s) e.g. screenshots, TXID's etc.)
2474  Other / Off-topic / Re: should we all be using encrcypted email ProtonMail? on: July 25, 2018, 07:24:29 AM
I think this matter depends on your needs; preference

For day-to-day usage, I believe yahoo and gmail should be enough. I use both of them and for security, I think my accounts are pretty secured - 2fa and account keys are activated, passwords are all combination of alphanumeric and special characters as well as setting up account recovery. Of course security doesn't end there, your entire usage will contribute, like if you are constantly sharing your email address publicly, there's a huge chance you'll be bombarded by spam emails, worst with malwares/phishing links

Oh and a few months ago, I started using temp email. It's great for suspicious services.

I too don't see myself using this anytime soon, I can't think of anything that would require me to go such lengths.
2475  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Yobit Account Is Blocked on: July 22, 2018, 07:23:16 AM
How much did you deposited? Usually large deposits causes flagged account.

Their account here rarely logs in and I'm not even sure if they respond to PM's  Roll Eyes
Twitter account is only used for announcements, never seen a reply from them to any user.
Good gracious! the only thing you could do now is to wait. this better be a lesson to ditch them
In case you're wondering, yes, they're slow in responding to tickets.
2476  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: make Signature on: July 22, 2018, 06:50:13 AM
Hi SFR10! I just came along this thread and I thought you could maybe tell me if it is necessary to become a Jr. Member in order to create a signature as well? Or which rank is needed?

Let me answer this for you!

No it's not, anyone who has the ability can do so, regardless of rank. Just be sure to adhere the styling guidelines since a member can't wear a senior's sig.
2477  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Locked out of Strongcoin account... on: July 21, 2018, 09:33:07 AM
I never heard about them before, but looks like is web wallet and i don't know if they're legit or not.
Nothing that we can do for you, the one who can help you is their support. When you contact them? Maybe it need time to reply your email.

I did heard about this some time ago. Apparently they've been operating for a long time now though they're not popular as you may have guessed.
I can't really give a review since I haven't tried this. In general, web wallets sucks.

@Op, do you have your paper backup? If so, you should be fine. just use that if you get tired of waiting
2478  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poloniex Your account has been locked 20 days 5 btc lost it on: July 20, 2018, 11:59:23 PM
Can you elaborate what exactly happened? What did you do before you received a notice of locked account? (both temporary and permanent)

At any rate they should explain the why's. They can't just blurt out the outcome without explaining how did they arrived on it especially if they're promoting transparency lol.
Verifications aren't a one-time thing since those aren't manually checked; you should be able to try few more times so I'm quite baffled at "You cannot verify your identity".

If you know yourself you didn't do anything wrong, try this free consultation from the guys in charge of bitconnect class action: https://www.silvermillerlaw.com/
2479  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wirex- Bitcoin Debit Card | Buy Bitcoin | Mobile Banking | Send Money on: July 20, 2018, 09:54:17 PM
Hi, i have problem with one transaction, Coinmama Signal failed, But on my account remains as completed, I tried to contact the support but no one answers, what can I do? Then I would have a request for an active email change from a month, but still after the due verification of ownership of the account, nothing has been changed

You can follow up your support ticket in their SNS. I inquired something to wirex last thursday on facebook and surprisingly got a reply within the day.

You mean debit card?

This might be a bit outdated but the process should still be similar (Fund wallet then load): New SpectroCoin Pre-Paid Bitcoin Debit Cards. If you're looking for a more detailed tutorial, just ask this guy SpectroCoin_support (Can't find one  Cry)
