2601  Economy / Economics / Re: Do cash control spending more than digital or crypto currency? on: September 01, 2022, 05:27:15 AM
So cash is king nowadays? I heard this in my country too wherein every market dropped heavily, especially our stock market which plummeted a lot. With the current world situation, there are too many uncertainties and everything is becoming expensive. So people are keeping their cash. I wish I did this too late last year when I predicted that 2022 would be a tough year for the world economy. I'd been following the situation in Ukraine even before the invasion too.

Just this year I also opt to cash when it comes to daily spending, it is really effective and more thrifty when having cash compared to using credit cards. But cash doesn't necessarily mean actual physical fiat money. I do have cash in my bank apps as they are very useful in paying bills.

Maybe in developed countries, all your ATM cards savings or not are also credit-card ready too?

Two more days before TI11 regional qualifiers will officially start in eastern Europe and South America. I am not very familiar with the Chinese players but it seems that the region together with western Europe have the most crowded teams that are capable of winning.

West Europe: Team Secret, Nigma, Entity, and Liquid
China: RNG, Extreme Gaming, Invictus, and Vici
Eastern Europe: Outsiders, BetBoom and Navi
Southeast Asia: T1 and Talon
North America: Soniqs and nouns
South America: Infamous
2603  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1k to 10k Challenge Update, I MADE IT! on: September 01, 2022, 04:33:07 AM
I am suspicious of the result obtained, since I do not find actual confirmation in the published OP screenshots, which were of a selective nature. Usually, after such challenges, it is proposed to join a paid group or transfer your money to trust management. This is just my opinion, but in any case, be careful with your money.
Fortunately we didn’t see any affiliate link in the OP and just a pure sharing of his experience reaching that capital. This might look unbelievable since we don’t know what he did just to hit that profit but let’s just be happy for him on achieving that level, he might be a professional trader who really knows how to play well in the market. If you follow his tweets, you can see the trend there and it looks like he’s into trading and doing good with that.

Literally shared everything, I started a new 500 to 5k. Follow and you will see I post everything in real time
Good luck with that. I assume you now have over $600 on your first day of the challenge after earning over a hundred dollars earlier. Nice gains there mate. Are your positions only good for a few hours and then close them out with or without gains? Do you set a stop loss on your margins? I'm a bit tempted to go back into trading but I felt like it is not my specialty. Do you have a TG group or you're only on Twitter?
2604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 01, 2022, 03:45:56 AM
News circulating is that Canelo Alvarez is not interested in a fight against the undefeated and former super-middleweight champion Zurdo Ramirez. Zurdo Ramirez is scheduled to challenge WBA light-heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol in Abu Dhabi this coming November 5. It is known that Zurdo is one of the fighters that want a shot against superstar Canelo. Zurdo earlier mentioned that he should beat Bivol in order to get a shot at Canelo. We will see if Canelo is really truthful to his promise many years ago that he will never fight a Mexican-born fighter again.
2605  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1k to 10k Challenge Update, I MADE IT! on: August 31, 2022, 05:18:05 PM
Congrats!  You may want to quit while you're ahead and not risk giving it back to the house.  However, if you must, why not use 5k and absolutely save the other 5k?

Haha don't worry I am a pro trader so I know how the house try to f you.

Wow, that's interesting. Meanwhile, the last time you shared your position was last August 26. You're not trading daily? Where else do you post your entry and exit calls? In TG? I'm already inactive in trading for like a couple of months because I always end up losing all my profits and sometimes some part of my capital after days, weeks, and months of hard work. Angry Cheesy But if you're sharing your analysis for free I may try to copy trade. And of course, if there are profits then I'm also willing to share it. Grin
2606  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 31, 2022, 04:53:55 PM
^  Yup, it's not looking good.  Lol.

There were 65% of voters who voted that BTC would trend up above 25k and stay there, 35% voted it won't.  I feel like September's sentiment would be more bearish for most and it would be the right side.  Dunno..  As I always say, we'll just have to see.  All it takes is a couple of green, long, mega candles to flip everybody bullish again.

I'm one of the 65%. My last chart thought BTC will reach 24k-25k at end of August but it didn't. Somehow I ignored that we were in a ghost month last August. Maybe because I am not doing active trades anymore since last month. Now BTC needs to hold the 18k-19k level otherwise there will be another dip in the next months to come.

Looking back at the previous ATH of 2017, there was a blood bath in the next 2 years. We will see if it happens again when there is much positive news about crypto from different governments.
2607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 31, 2022, 04:32:42 PM
Even though Leon Edwards was on a series of 9 wins before fight against Usman, people still think he needs to be tested. Because everyone are shocked not because he beat Usman in a fight, but because he has beaten him by luck than by skill. He has been loosing for 24 minutes and all of a sudden he has switched Usmans light.

I think Dana should organize a rematch or these two have to meet again. Similar story as Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan fight. Aljo won title by DQ, everyone laughed at him and did not believe in him, but in their second fight he has proved that he deserved that (or Petr proved that Aljo needed that belt more Cheesy)

Leon Edwards will never get the respect unless he will beat Usman convincingly. I'm confident the oddsmakers will list Edwards as an underdog over Usman, Colby, Chimaev, and even against Burns. Maybe Dana should do something different like putting Usman as the main undercard on Edwards' first title defense. It will be an interesting build-up like what happened during Adesanya's title defense where in Strickland-Pereira was also the main undercard.

Aljo after the rematch with Yan posted an apology form for his haters. Cheesy I scored it 3-2 in favor of Yan although I have no issue with the result as it was really close and could've gone either way.
2608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: August 31, 2022, 03:34:05 PM
So this fight is most likely to happen after Fury agreed to a 50-50 purse split. Despite all the talking Fury is doing, I appreciate him for accepting the purse split which most people are expecting that he deserves a little more share as he's got more fans and the market. I like this fight to happen in a neutral location like the Middle East to avoid biased officiating.

I'm surprised to see the early odds. I thought I could see Usyk at 3.0. If it goes 3.0 then I will bet on Usyk. Fury is technical and fast but not as fast and technical as Usyk. Fury does have a huge size and reach advantage. And it's also near impossible for Usyk to stop Fury.

Meanwhile, David Haye mentioned Fury's ability to struggle against small good heavyweights. He did struggle a bit against the quick-moving but light-punching Cunnigham.
2609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: August 31, 2022, 10:25:41 AM

Boxing record:
Dmitry Bivol 20-0-11 KOs
Zurdo Ramirez 44-0-30 KOs
If we base on their records - we can see more odds on the side of Ramirez than Bivol. Experience is a big advantage in a sport like this but a competitive boxer doesn't let himself down because he sees that his opponent is bigger and has a long experience compared to him, he does more than expected. But as a bettor, I'm still preferred putting my bet on the one I see has more advantage and close to a knockdown which is Ramirez.
That's right, Zurdo has more than doubled Bivol's pro experience. But I give Bivol the edge when it comes to the high level of opponents. Bivol already fought for the WBA interim belt during his 7th fight and became its regular champion in his 12th fight. That's why I cannot hate but appreciate these former Soviet professional boxers as they do not cherry-pick opponents and always aimed for glory. Lomachenko became champion in his 3rd fight, Usyk in his 10th fight, and Beterbiev and Bivol in their 12th.

Zurdo has the power advantage though but we will see if he can hurt Bivol who is technical and somewhat has underrated knockout power.
2610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 31, 2022, 09:51:48 AM
One thing the Utah Jazz have at the moment is they are not in a hurry for a Mitchell trade. I was surprised they haven't accepted that offer from New York which for me was already good. Mitchell is still very young and his contract just started which makes the Jazz unpressured. And if the Jazz can take higher picks in the next draft then it may also persuade Mitchell to just stay provided management will start building around them.

I also find it hard for the Lakers to acquire Mitchell via the Westbrook trade since the earlier offer from New York is still better.
Indeed that's true. They are not in a hurry, it's not like Mitchell is a burden to them. It almost looked like an experiment to see what options they could receive if ever they put him on the market. Now, they know he is still of so much value that other teams will absorb him and offer a good trade.

Mitchell wants out of Utah though. Like most of the current NBA players' mentality, nobody wants to waste time playing in a rebuilding team. Good point though, especially if you're a star player with high potential. Gone are the old days when most players were loyal to their teams.

So this reminded me of what could have happened if Lebron remained at Cleveland. I believe it was Brandon Haywood signing with another team that sealed the fate. Lebron's leaving since Cleveland doesn't have a reliable center for the next season anymore. Provided Lebron stayed. Will he be able to take 4 rings? Can he bring the Cavaliers to 10 championship finals?
2611  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Sportsbet.io 🥊 Andy Ruiz vs Luis Ortiz 🥊 (Sunday) on: August 31, 2022, 09:28:25 AM
I'm a bit too late. Both can hurt each other but Andy cannot be stopped. Kingkong a few years ago should be able to survive a whole 12 rounds with Andy, but not this time. Kingkong got the heart but his old legs will give up.

1.  Andy Ruiz
2.  Under 9.5 Rounds
3.  5
2612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October on: August 30, 2022, 05:55:05 PM
We can check that on his record - https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/659771

Lomachenko only lost to 2 fighters of the total 18 fights he had.

1st - Orlando Salido via split decision
2nd - Teofimo Lopez via unanimous decision.
IMO the first lost is because he's too young to face very experienced boxer since Orlando Salido have fought 55 times while it's the second fight for Lomachenko. The second lost is due to his injury as we can see Lomachenko is very weird on the first sixth rounds, he's like a different person. What I know Lomachenko is a flash since he is vigorous, quick and unpredictable as he like to change his stance.

Right, that was just his second fight in his career but was match against the more experienced Salido. But I guess it did good for Loam in the long term, as his eyes is open to the professional world of boxing, as we all know that he has an extensive experience as an amateur. And after that lost to Salido he won successively becoming a champion and then lost to Lopez later and then we just know that he has a shoulder injury in their fight. But a healthy version of Loma is almost unbeatable.

Damn! I already forgot what really happened in that actual Salido-Loma fight and I think I haven't scored it maybe because I do not have a good connection or I am not that focused while watching it. One thing is sure, it was controversial.

1. Orlando Salido was stripped of his WBO title as he was a kilo heavier and that's already a very heavy advantage. Fighters usually missed limits below 1 pound and most of them can reduce weight in 2 hours. I haven't heard of another featherweight championship that a fighter missed that much weight.

2. I remember there were low blows. I forgot if controversial referee Laurence Cole warned Salido but he never deducted a point.

After this fight Salido never fought again at featherweight and went on to become a champion again at super-featherweight. They should have a rematch 2 years later but Salido lost his belt to Martinez whom Loma stopped pretty easily.

It's always sad when someone lost a fight due to injury. Loma had surgery after his fight against Teofimo. Damn Loma, he could've postponed the fight and moved it to another date.
2613  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentina's Mendoza province now accepting crypto for taxes and fees on: August 30, 2022, 04:19:34 PM
Argentina is showing a good start so far this year. A few months ago we also heard that it launched a project on selected schools for its Bitcoin education program. So maybe next year or in the following years to come it will also pass a law granting Bitcoin as a legal tender.

There's a lot of good news this year for Bitcoin and crypto. Singapore, Hongkong, Korea, and Turkey showing signs of interest to become major crypto hubs for companies and businesses. And of course, we have the Central African Republic who's officially the second nation to accept Bitcoin as a legal tender. Maybe by 2030, we have half of the world accepting Bitcoin as a legitimate mode of payment.
2614  Economy / Economics / Re: Savings during inflation on: August 30, 2022, 03:57:55 PM
Savings is still very important but it should be limited like allocating some money for emergency purposes. During the pandemic, I moved the bulk of my bank savings into stocks. The problem is the whole stock market went down too and their value now are worse than the high inflations happening right now. I heard a lot of people in the stock and crypto market mentioning that cash is the king right now which I still disagree with, for as long as there is still enough emergency funds in the bank.

OP posted a machine as an example. If that machine is necessary and is used in order to generate profit then it is a good decision. Otherwise, it will only depreciate in value.
2615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 30, 2022, 03:40:22 PM
So probably the Jazz will have to shop around again and see what will be their options for Mitchell. Maybe some other teams are still interested on him, money wise + future trade picks.
Many will be interested in the Spider and I can see the Lakers tailing around joining the party to be able to let WB go.

One thing the Utah Jazz have at the moment is they are not in a hurry for a Mitchell trade. I was surprised they haven't accepted that offer from New York which for me was already good. Mitchell is still very young and his contract just started which makes the Jazz unpressured. 2616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mastering the market movement is what aid profits and not the price. on: August 29, 2022, 04:23:24 PM
Price analysis can also be a good factor to consider only on a long-term base and if one wants to make a passive trading decision then it must be of liquidity and volatility to open a position at the right time and predict which direction the trade could go. I use that term because the market is unpredictable in general view but with the volatility comes an increase in trading profits if the market is mastered and skills build to dictate the future of the market and which direction it goes in the long run.

So are you earning a passive income with the present market situation?

I tried many times to trade regularly in order to gain passive profits but I'm not able to stay for long. The same situation with those people I met before, they were only good for months. Except for those traders who turned mentors and are now teaching and coaching about trading. I am not against trading gurus but there are too many of them that were able to remain unemployed and free from 8 to 5 mainly because they earned thru trading mentorships and coaching not from trading.

NBA insider Marc Stein reported in his Sunday newsletter, per Yahoo Sports that if the Jazz choose to trade superstar Donovan Mitchell to the Knicks or any other team, there is a “decent chance” the Lakers would be involved as a third team.
https://www.foxsports.com.au/basketball/nba/nba-2022-trade-news-donovan-mitchell-to-new-york-knicks-russell-westbrook-deal-los-angeles-lakers-utah-jazz/news-story/bc882f4af1dbcb176d32bed5d033874f
Jazz again?
Quote
Stein offered up the hypothetical of Los Angles landing Bojan Bogdanovic from the Jazz and Evan Fournier from the Knicks and whether that would be enough to pry the picks from the Lakers.
These are just rumors but it may all become fruitful if suddenly the Jazz moves and try to make the trade with the Knicks.
Bojan and Fournier. That completes a good roleplayer roster for the Lakers and they would have strong outside players. Knicks will receive Mitchell so Westbrook might land in Utah with some draft pieces that the Lakers or Knicks would offer. I am positive it could work out. Jazz is rebuilding while the Knicks are trying to get more veteran strength in the likes of Mitchell.

So why not just trade Mitchell for Westbrook? isn't it possible?

I guess both are making at least $30 million per year, Westbrook probably has a higher salary than Mitchell, but Jazz are seeing Westbrook could bring the team to the championship, maybe they'll ask for the Lakers to trade Mitchell for him. I'm not so familiar with the trade rules, but is my thinking make sense?
We will see if the Lakers are willing to give up their future draft picks. It was the main reason they failed to acquire Irving because they are unwilling to give up more future draft picks. Landing Bojan or Fournier may not be enough for the Lakers unless it's only a single first-round draft. I can understand the Lakers' management though. Bron is old and Kyrie is not getting younger, so without future, first-round draft picks in the near future then they will end up a losing team for many years again unless they will burn millions of money in order to sign superstars from the other teams.

Wesbrook is worth $47 million next season compared to Mitchell's $37 million. But it is very possible that the Lakers are willing to give up future draft picks for a young Mitchell.
2618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 29, 2022, 03:26:51 PM
But you are right Nate Diaz pretty much will not do much on Khamzat's Career, but upon that unexpected defeat of Kamaru Usman after this fight I surely think a title match is a proper next fight for Khamzat Chimaev,

Ha-ha, unexpected defeat. There were so many recent fights, where a huge underdog won, that I start to think that Nate could lend some decent punches into Chimaev face. Like in a fight Burns vs Chimaev. A lot of people thought that untouchable Chimaev would win in first or second round, but in reality he took a good beating by Burns.

Burns was ranked 2 or 3 at the time though while Nate is not even listed in the top 10 and is also inactive already for a year. Nate may be able to land some of his strikes but knowing Chimaev's big heart, the guy will not be stopped easily.

Leon Edwards may rematch Kamaru next but I want to see Kamaru fight a lesser opponent as a tune-up. Let Edwards face Colby or Chimaev and then Usman next. I'm bored with the constant immediate rematches UFC has been doing. But Chimaev should be able to get his title shot next year.

So just at the end of this week, TI's last regional qualifiers will already start to kick in South America and eastern Europe. This is going to be very tough and exciting as every team will give their last hurrahs in order to enter TI Singapore. Infamous will be favorites to win in South America but it'll be hell in eastern Europe as Outsiders, Betboom, and Navi are great teams too. I'm also hoping that T1 together with Ana and Topson are the ones to qualify in SEA.

With regards to TI. My top 3 picks are Team Spirit, OG, and LGD.
