2861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which utilities will survive the bear market on: May 03, 2022, 07:37:14 PM
This is scary, you have mentioned all the available use cases in the crypto space presently  Grin, some metaverse projects will still survive more than others because metaverse hype is not done for, I haven't even seen a fully completed metaverse project yet or have you? The moment this metaverse projects start leaving behind their BETA phase the hype will be back again.

Not all of them, but only the hype ones that have become the most discussed and popular over the past 1.5-2 years. For example, this list does not include exchange tokens, DeFi, native protocol tokens, etc. In the types of tokens I listed, a lot of useless garbage appeared in the last 1.5-2 years, which does not offer any good product. The same Metaverse will not all survive, because the competition is large, and there are very few projects that are ready to provide an original and high-quality product.
2862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel about algorithmic stablecoin staking? on: May 02, 2022, 06:36:25 PM
That's what I was afraid of in staking these algorithmic stabelcoins, and that's the reduction of the interest rate. The initial 20% offered by Anchor was too tempting, but alas, it did not last long. Today the interest rate is lower, 18%, by the end of the month their interest will be even lower, around 15-16%. I assume it won't stop there and the rate will continue to drop to ~10%.

It has become clear that to maintain such a high rate for a long time will not work, as it is already becoming similar to a HYIP. As soon as there is less money and there is an outflow of funds, it is primarily reflected in the staking. It is common for all pools offering initially high interest rates.

Most likely, the same will apply to stablecoin USN and USDD staking.
2863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which utilities will survive the bear market on: May 02, 2022, 06:05:15 PM
From this i find the launchpad, fan and metaverse tokens as the most advantageous on the long term because the market cares about continuity. Gamefi = p2e and it doesnt attract investors no more because it is becoming too much (same metrics) and the roi are never satisfying, how would such token behave in a bearish state ? With fan token, metaverse and launchpad token, you experience continuity and strenght

Launchpad tokens emerged amidst a venture capital hype in 2021, and now you can already see sluggish activity in this sector. Most of these launchpads will die and you should not expect them all to give you confidence in the long term.

Metaverses need to look at ivnestors, if the project entered serious funds at the stage of seed investment, it means there is a future for the project, even though the price can dump very much. This is done in order to kick out all casual investors and buy up as many coins as possible into a portfolio for future growth.

Fan tokens... what's the power and certainty in them in the long run? They are the same shitcoins as memcoins, as long as there is a hype, they are talked about, as soon as something worthwhile appears, they are immediately forgotten about. Although this is my subjective view of fan tokens, but personally I don't see anything good in the long term in them, simply because they have few utilitarian functions, just like meme-coins.
2864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Benjamin Cowan named the four most promising altcoins on: May 02, 2022, 04:58:48 PM
I think it can be taken simply as an opinion, but in no way investment advice. In fact, the projects he listed are really good, but I definitely can't agree with his opinion that these are the most promising altcoins. I would add Solana and LUNA here. Realistically, these ecosystems are growing very rapidly right now. Yes, they each have their own problems, but the amount of money they raise in their ecosystems makes you wonder about their growth and development prospects.

2866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Defi Lender Rari Capital hacked Offers $10M Bounty to Hacker on: May 01, 2022, 07:57:08 PM
Ever thought that these so called hacks could be the doing of companies or persons with smart contract audit services? I mean it's a win-win situation for them. They would look good if they investigate what happened and gain trust of the community while enjoying the money that was stolen.

We can't be 100% sure about any hack at all that has occurred in the crypto space. Simply because that is the nature of cryptocurrencies. I don't rule out the fact that some protocols or auditors could initiate a hack to appropriate all (or part) of the liquidity, and then just restart a similar project but with a different name. Exchanges that have been hacked could do the same thing. They could just steal funds and reopen under different names.

It's more like a conspiracy theory or something, but the fact is that DeFi is still a very wild environment for investors, even though it is decentralized, but the risks of decentralization seem to me to be much higher, because everything is built on smart contracts, which are riddled with vulnerabilities.
2867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's the year 2018 over again on: May 01, 2022, 07:30:05 PM
It seems we are already in a bear market but how far can this go? A year or two just like 2018-2019? Or this is a short term bear market? MMCrypto on youtube said that 30,000$ BTC is possible, if this do happens altcoins will bleed more than ever and this will unlock the beginning of the downfall of many altcoins.

Many altcoins have been bleeding for a long time and have been showing a steady decline for months. I think we have been in a bear market for about half a year now, because 2021 was a year of growth, projects gave good profits, like in 2017. Now it's profit-fixing time. Right now, I wouldn't invest in any new projects or projects that have already managed to grow multiple times. If bitcoin will push through 30,000 and falls below, altcoins will become very cheap.
2868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which utilities will survive the bear market on: May 01, 2022, 07:05:17 PM
The very first thing that will be at risk are all the 2021 trend tokens, namely:

- Launchpad tokens
- fan tokens
- meme tokens
- NFT tokens
- Metaverse tokens
- GameFi tokens
- P2E tokens

All of this needs to be cleaned up because the market is flooded with a huge amount of pacifier projects, copy projects, and other garbage whose goal is just to make quick money on investors. Most of the projects from the above areas will die in a full bear market and will never rise from the dead again. We all remember the story with most of the junk coin ICOs of the 2017-2018 period. The market needs another self-cleaning.
2869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Defi Lender Rari Capital hacked Offers $10M Bounty to Hacker on: April 30, 2022, 09:36:45 PM
It's no surprise to me, DeFi break-ins happen almost every day. Here's another one. Again. Smart contracts are still extremely vulnerable, even if they have been audited 2-3 times by a major company. That means absolutely nothing. As they have been hacked, they are still being hacked.

I think the hacker gave up the bounty because he was focused specifically on finding a vulnerability that would bring him a good profit from his activities (we are talking about 70 million). It is a good thing that Polygon was able to negotiate with the hacker about the bounty, otherwise it would have been a very massive loss and possibly the death of the ecosystem.
2870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cold storage & Staking on: April 30, 2022, 09:07:00 PM
If only it were that simple. Simply put, it's impossible. Or do you think that staking rewards are being charged to you out of thin air? Staking is the provision of liquidity to a protocol, which earns on your provided liquidity and gives you a percentage of those earnings. That is, roughly speaking, you are giving away your money for rent.

Staking from cold storage is like trading on a centralised exchange, but keeping your money in a cold wallet Smiley
2871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most trustable currency on: April 30, 2022, 08:38:16 PM
Guys, Can you really name the coins/tokens that you trust the most?

I trust ecosystems and their native tokens, such as DOT from Polygon, SOL from Solana, ETH from Ethereum, etc. Behind these tokens are large-scale projects with various services and applications, it inspires trust and implies that owning tokens from these ecosystems can generate good income, from holding in the wallet to staking, participating in new projects, etc. These projects/coins can be trusted, because they are not shitcoins that aim to make a quick buck from users. Such projects could include, for example, mem-tokens that do not have any utilitarian functions. Such projects are best not to be trusted.
2872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ron token(PREDICTION) on: April 30, 2022, 08:12:34 PM
Can you predict this token for me like the price(future) and the developer of it?

I'm newbie in crypto I only know axie infinity so that's why i ask if I have future with this

For me personally, it's a bad investment right now. Why? Simply because the token is constantly losing in its price. But this is actually a pretty common schedule for new projects. When a project enters the market, it starts to get pushed hard by early investors, lowering the price to a minimum and thereby forcing weak hands to sell those tokens very cheaply. After investors accumulate enough tokens, the project turns around and gives dozens of X's. This may be the case.

For now, it is extremely risky to invest; we have to wait for the bottom and the beginning of the reversal.
2873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel about algorithmic stablecoin staking? on: April 29, 2022, 09:05:42 PM
Thirty percent returns per annual is not bad at all, I prefer staking stable coins because there is no need to be worried about volatility, either bull or bear market it's not of your business, I have only staked USDT before on the Binance exchange but the return isn't up to 30%, projects that offers this range of rewards for staking annually are safe, there is nothing to worry about here.

But stablecoin staking has a bad side as well. It's certainly a good thing that they're not subject to volatility. But on the other hand, if you have invested in staking, and you earn new coins that you plan to sell in the long run (because such coins can, in addition to profits from staking, also bring more profit from holding), then even a much lower annual return, compared to stabelcoins, can be a much more profitable investment. But for risk diversification, staking stablecoins is also justified.
2874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The beginning of Fitness projects hype on: April 29, 2022, 09:00:16 PM
Since the success of GMT token (Step'N) few new fitness projects are showing up, today I come across another named FITFI aka Step app, is this the next feeding field for developers? Crypto keeps looking more like a race to make fast money from a hype before it's gone, no wonder we have so many unserious developers today.

If you want to make money on such projects, you have to enter such projects at the stage of venture capital investment. For example, there was a fork of the STEP project called STEP APP. So during the last unlock, which gave the opportunity to sell 10% of its allocation, gave its investors 100x.

And if you plan on installing these fitness apps and trying to earn rewards, it's a bad idea. Keep an eye out for new projects on the venture capital sites.
2875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ApeCoin on a massive run on: April 29, 2022, 07:55:19 PM
Is it too risky to buy it now?

There is no point in buying it now. The coin just yesterday made its new ATH, and as a rule, after reaching ATH, early investors start unloading their coins. Buying on highs is bad form and against the rules of smart investing. Now, if you want to invest in this project, it is too late to enter, you have already missed the opportunity.

So wait for the correction, then the accumulation phase, and only then buy.
2876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How do you feel about algorithmic stablecoin staking? on: April 28, 2022, 07:36:15 PM
Stablecoins like UST, USN, USDD have a very tricky link to the dollar and the collateral pool, in the form of a native token of a particular blockchain, be it LUNA, NEAR, TRON, etc. Such projects offer or are about to offer 20-30% per annum in staking these stablecoins. Not a bad interest rate, is it? But will these projects be able to provide such a high interest rate all the time, and won't that provoke a cascading collapse of both the stablecoins, with the loss of the peg and a cascading collapse of the native tokens that act as reserve collateral?

After all, such high payouts to stakers must be accompanied by constant replenishment of these projects reserve funds. But what will happen if the money stops flowing in the right amount?
2877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty is taking another direction on: April 28, 2022, 06:37:38 PM
I see that the topic of bounty has recently started to gain new popularity, it feels like I'm back in 2017 on the forum. Indeed, as you correctly noted, the bounty has long since ceased to bring tangible income, so that it can be called a reward. It hasn't been making money for a long time now, it's just pampering. Earning in the crypto industry has long gone beyond the bounty and is concentrated elsewhere (I'm not referring to websites, but specifically token earning methods). Bounty for tokens, it's already like faucets for bitcoin. It's nothing if you spend a lot of time, and it's not a fact that you can cash out anything.
The golden days for bounty has gone already. What was used to be profitable has become the source of scams nowadays and so people do not see it still reliable these days. Although there are some quite number of bounties that are giving decent income, but most of them have totally gone into thin air. There may be trying to launch new projects but we can see it with our own two eyes that it will never be the same valuable and reliable way back then, and that projects nowadays have no more long term impact on the community that its trying to convince.

There is nothing constant in the crypto industry, ways and schemes of making money are constantly changing. The market is transforming and new trends are emerging. Bounties used to be a form of getting new tokens and an opportunity to become an early adopter of a project. Just like ICOs used to be ways to become investors in new projects. Over time, this has all transformed and now bounties are in ambassadorship projects, retroactive airdrop, testnet, etc. These are now actual ways to get new project tokens. Similarly, public sales have transformed, becoming IEOs, IDOs, SHOs, etc. The market is constantly changing and what was relevant 3-4 years ago becomes obsolete and ceases to be attractive, in terms of profitability. The same has touched the bounty on the forum.
2878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About EOS on: April 28, 2022, 06:18:52 PM
Once upon a time EOS was one of the biggest projects in crypto space, it's all-time high was around 20$ per coin but so far this project have been on the ground, doing what actually? I am not saying it's over for EOS I believe that when a project stays on ground for a long time surprises will follow, what do you think about EOS? Are you a holder?.

EOS was worth 20% or so, quite briefly. Basically, it was just heavily pumped for a few months and then investors started to dump it en masse. It was once called the Chinese ETH, and that this project would definitely eclipse ETH in the Celestial Empire. And this coin was really popular in China. I think the developers of this project at some point realized that it is better to switch to something else and began to develop another project, although recently there was a surge to $10, but still, the project, after 4 years failed to update its ATH, many investors who bought in 2018 are still at a loss, if they suddenly still hold this coin.

My personal opinion, for long-term investing EOS is not suitable, I do not recommend anyone to buy it for profit in a few years, but for medium-term speculation can be used. Alas, it didn't make a killer of ETH.
2879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I found a new hidden gem called AltSwitch. Do you think it will go 100x? on: April 28, 2022, 05:58:09 PM
The upcoming unicorn crypto company because of it's insane hardwallet. What do you think about AltSwitch?  Huh

Another shithcoin claiming to be a GEM and profit x100? How many of them have already been discussed here, none of them have grown so far. Based on my observations, I realized that really no one ever discusses GEM, these projects just appear in the field of view when they have already grown. And you look at the chart and think: well, how could I have missed this project? The whole point is that these projects are really hidden, and they don't get talked about until it's time to look for liquidity for seed investors who have bought at ultra-low prices. That's when the constant mentions of this project on the web begin, and until then it remains in the shadows.

So the AltSwitch project can hardly be called a hidden gem.
2880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: solid portfolio? 8 coins on: April 27, 2022, 06:30:43 PM
why is Acala bad?

In my opinion, this token may now update its bottom. I don't know when you bought it, but if you bought it after April 5, it's a very risky investment. The thing is, right now the market is bearish and the prices of many projects are falling. If you bought very recently, then you bought after the pampa and now investors are skimming their coins, thereby ruining the price. You should have bought this project after it would have shown a long accumulation. But the project is very young, it was growing for a while, now it has started to fall.

Look at the historical charts of other coins that are 1 year old, for example. They all experienced price rises in the beginning, then fall for a long time and only then start to rise or not.

Project Acala could easily go below $1 soon. So you rushed into buying it, it could have been bought much cheaper.
