2721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This can make alts loses more value than ever on: May 28, 2022, 08:43:56 PM
There's a lot of controversy about this and it's impossible to say unequivocally how the price of ETH will behave after the transition to PoS. It will be as the community and investors will decide. But there is also a common opinion, that the transition to PoS won't happen for a long time, it will be a long story. Also, we can't rule out a split in the community and the formation of a hardfork, where there will be PoW ETH and PoS ETH. There is a huge investment in ETH mining and it will not end that easily.
2722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether loses 10 billion dollars on: May 28, 2022, 08:14:37 PM
Remember the time that USDT team admitted they were not fully backed by USD assets?
So these whales or big holders maybe are just ensuring their funds are secure in other form.
But I don't think USDT will turn to be scam also. People behind this are already well-known in this market.
And I think, they are pretty established as compared to UST, which is algo-based (no backing of fiat).

You are trying to connect events that are almost a year apart. USDT issued an audit on June 30, 2021, indicating that the token was only 10% secured in fiat. Since then, USDT's capitalization was about $62 billion and continued to rise, until May 7, when the capitalization reached $83 billion. And now they have released a new audit saying that they have increased dollar collateral. So your version about investors withdrawing funds because of low fiat collateral doesn't make sense, because if it mattered to investors, we would have seen capitalization decline back in July of last year.
2723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether loses 10 billion dollars on: May 27, 2022, 10:41:21 PM
as you can see this has never happened before and the people who are selling out their USDTs are not your average joes but rather the whales,so what do you think ? Do they know something we dont ?

Most likely, the withdrawal of assets is related to the recent event of the loss of the peg by stablecoins, caused by the events around Terra. The media often writes about the contagion effect, that investors, under the pressure of panic, withdraw their funds and redistribute them to safe havens to wait out this uncertainty in the market. In addition, some evidence suggests that the entire stablecoin industry has experienced an outflow of funds from these assets, as the market is in a bearish trend and this is a normal occurrence.

In any case, if you are trying to hint at a possible usdt scam with these factors, it is unlikely to happen. The market has not yet recovered from the panic that LUNA started, so it is not surprising that investors are leaving the crypto space for a while.
2724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Well, you put your money in your luna if it gets forked? on: May 27, 2022, 10:01:47 PM
The past few weeks have been the most challenging for there luna coin investors, as the network witnessed a hard attack that led to its price crash but then we can't give up on the project since it has some good prospects. And recently the CEO announced a recovery plan so am forced to ask will still buy the forked luna coin if it lunched or you rather look away from it?

You could invest some money in the beginning, because definitely once Terra 2.0 launches, there will be a bit of a hype around it for a while and there will be money to be made on it. A bad idea would be to continue to keep money in LUNA 1.0, or to buy the bottom, as it's obvious that this version of Terra is a dead project that is no longer destined to rise from the ashes. I was expecting a successor, it is more or less a logical step to restore the reputation.
2725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the end or only the beginning on: May 27, 2022, 09:34:11 PM
Definitely for many projects, a deep bearish trend will turn into a scramble and doom. This is part of the crypto market, because during a hype there are always a lot of projects that are worthless and crypto winter should filter out worthwhile projects from those that are worthless. Those that survive the global downtrend will develop further. One of the main metrics of project viability and prospects is the participation of funds, the vesting table, as well as the correspondence of the roadmap and implemented functions in the project.

let's admit the fact that a lot of these projects have the main intention of rug pulling when they develop the project. how many do you think have the sincerity to achieve their target objectives in this market to the point that they can sacrifice some of their personal funds? i don't think they are many of them. most are just collecting money for their retirement funds.
no one will definitely admit their true intentions but we will see it on how they progress with their developments. if they are just pure words or promises, and no output, better get out while you can. it is your own instincts that will tell you something is turning out to be wrong eventually.

This we cannot know for sure, just as we cannot be sure about the behind-the-scenes games of the funds that invested in the project and the project team. I have repeatedly encountered such manipulations, which were planned in advance and all the conditions were created for a certain category of investors. As an example, I will take the Kintsugi project, which quietly conducted a listing and did not even announce it on its media platforms. As a result, while the main group of investors was in the dark, they already managed to sell out and dump the tokens at a high price. The community was unhappy with such a move and the team was hit with a wave of abuse on Discord, for which they started to ban users of the channel.

In the same way, they can stall by prior arrangement with a group of investors in order to fit some event under a certain date or something like that. The crypto industry is the wild west in the investment world, and they can use the dirtiest methods against the crowd here.
2726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SQUID2 good to invest ? possible X10 increase ? on: May 27, 2022, 09:17:20 PM
Most of the tokens traded on Yobit are not worthy of attention and often turn out to be scam. Even their dubious invest box comes to mind. It's definitely not worth investing in, it's just another scam that nobody needs and hasn't been of any interest to traders for a long time, the volatility is zero. Such shitcoins are easy to buy but very hard to sell.
Considering that Yobit here in the forum had a bad reputation, we can see that it won't turn out to be something worthy to be invested at.
I can still remember when Yobit was like a hot topic here in the forum due to its bad reputation of being a scam exchange, lol.

I can not take this exchange seriously, because it looks little like an exchange. It looks more like some kind of gambling entertainment platform disguised as an exchange. These strange services, strange drawings of incomprehensible tokens, which are only on this exchange, and which are not even on coinmarketcap. In general, I don't see the point of investing in tokens that are only available on one particular centralized exchange. It should be clear right away that this is a high-risk investment. And besides, are there any investors who were able to get really rich from investing in these exclusive yobit tokens? In my opinion, the answer is obvious. It's not an investment, it's gambling.

November 2021 update: grin payments are currently not being accepted. My payments code broke, and since grin payments were never very common, it hasn't been a priority to fix it.

и планируют ли внести разнообразие в способах оплаты платного ранга?

2728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your recent altcoin investment and why? on: May 26, 2022, 08:58:07 PM
Ethereum, Bitcoin. I always buy these coins on declines, because they have good long term future and in some years these investments will bring good profits. I also follow many projects that appeared during the last year, and I buy them at serious drawdowns. I will not name them, do your own investigations, rather than looking for a ready-made list among the responses of other investors, creating such threads.

[9th April 2022]

Yes, you read that right.

Our team here at Revoluzion have come up with yet another exciting project! We are proud to announce our Luzion Protocol! A project that can substantially change people's lives with an incredible passive income opportunity.

On April 11, trading of this token began and it gradually began to fall in value, already 10 times cheaper than ATH, that is, there is a constant outflow of money from the project, but no inflows. I wonder what are you going to pay such high APY, almost 400 000%. Projects with such prohibitively high rates do not live long and almost always turn out to be pyramids, which exist only at the expense of new injections of capital.

2733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: needs suggestion on: May 24, 2022, 10:36:34 PM
Not the best time to launch a P2E project. For the most part, the market is oversaturated with these projects and the industry has shifted its focus a bit to another business model, Move-2-Earn, and P2E projects are now experiencing a drop in interest and users. Even the flagship of the industry, Axie Infinity, has lost most of its audience and its price has gone very deep. In bearish times, such game projects have little interest and can only survive if they have great marketing and an experienced team with an original product.
2734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether (USDT) - Backed by Air and Words on: May 24, 2022, 10:14:49 PM
There are a lot of things in the crypto industry tied to USDT and I do not think that it is profitable for someone to end it all and turn this stablecoin into a scam with a sad end, because the consequences of this will be very cruel. It's no secret that USDT is not fully backed by the dollar, but only 15%-20%, if I'm not mistaken, the rest is backed by securities and various derivative instruments. I agree that everything is not so smooth with the collateral and most likely there is a huge amount of unsecured tokens released to the market. In addition, USDT has had constant problems with auditing. There is also a possibility that USDC will take the lead. Already now investors start pouring liquidity into this stablecoin, and who knows, maybe in 3-4 years there will be a new leader in the stablecoin category.
2735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT development on: May 24, 2022, 09:50:12 PM
NFT story is all over the web and this time what got my interest is a story of a young guy who sold a picture as an NFT, how are they transform an ordinary picture into NFT and sell them for a good price. I need help to know how to make this happen.

This is elementary and at the same time useless, especially now, during a strong bear market, when NFT tokens are very cheap and have lost their former demand. Any image can be uploaded to a specialized service, minting NFT, paying a commission for the gas and putting that NFT, or collection, on the marketplace, for example on OpenSea. In doing so, minting will be relatively inexpensive. But there is a big problem. It's the lack of hype and demand. Most of these tokens are not needed. There are a lot of them on such marketplaces because everyone wants to make money on it, but people don't need it all. They don't want to buy, they want to sell, so if you don't have some interesting story, no fame, then nobody wants your pictures and the price is zero.
2736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The first crypto project based on trading profits jorth Network on: May 24, 2022, 08:54:23 PM
Are there any plans to hold a token sale on some platform like the launchpad? Because selling tokens directly from the site is not trustworthy. Also, I looked at your staking, you give a high percentage of 18% to 30% APY. From my experience I can say that many projects which initially give such high percentages, quickly switch to floating percentages and lower APY for staking. How do you plan to maintain such a high percentage of staking rewards?
2737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best decentralized stablecoin? on: May 24, 2022, 08:17:54 PM
I don't agree with you a little bit. The fact is that centralized stablecoins also lose their tether, but for some reason they don't talk about it much. But when it comes to algorithmic or decentralized stablecoins, people immediately remember their ability to lose tethering. All stablecoins lose their tether. Look at how the biggest stablecoins have felling in their time, and you will see that all stablecoins are at risk of losing their tether.

Of course. No one said stablecoins are risk-free. Every investment does come with its risks. But I believe centralized stablecoins are a much safer bet than decentralized ones, simply because they're regulatory-compliant (some of them, not all). That means the issuer is required by law to maintain the peg or face serious consequences in the long run. This brings investor protection, not seen in decentralized stablecoins like DAI or USDJ.

It's the wild west in the decentralized world of stablecoins, so I'd advise anyone to proceed with caution. I think what happened with UST will force developers to improve algorithmic stablecoins for the better. There will always be "hiccups" along the road. What's important is to keep moving forward in order to make our world a better place. Who knows if decentralized stablecoins become so good that they'll rival centralized stablecoins in the future? Just my thoughts Grin

The problem with decentralized stablecoin is the more complicated mechanism of securing and securing smart contracts, and the problem with centralized stablecoin is that they are not backed by fiat as they should be, meaning that at one moment they cannot back every token with a dollar because there simply are not that many dollars in a bank account physically. It's no secret that most of the USDT and USDC are backed by securities and debt, so if there is a big stream of coin withdrawals, they will lose their bind very quickly.

But based on the above, despite the disadvantages, it is safer to store in centralized stablecoins, because they have fewer vulnerabilities.
2738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you should do in this type of market on: May 23, 2022, 11:56:08 PM
Just do not forget that investors in bear markets can leave even promising projects. And this will be facilitated by two goals:

1 - is to preserve the value of their money, altcoins are not suitable for such purposes.
2 - is to collapse the price to its lowest values in order to buy back cheap coins as much as possible.

So, dropping a coin to low levels doesn't mean that these projects will never grow again. In this case, you also need to pay attention to the project's social media, roadmap, and network updates.

Fuse Overview: vision, strategy and platform components

I read about this token exactly one year ago, there was an article that experts predict the price of FUSE Network to be around $0.7-0.8 during 2021. I thought it was an advertisement for another little-known project and passed this coin by. In the end, the price was almost $2, but it didn't last long. Now the project is back to the same values when I first read about it. And I wonder if this project will be able to repeat that in the near future.
2740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Real State NFTs on: May 23, 2022, 09:04:10 PM
Something similar was said when there was a hype in the field of NFT, that NFT in the field of art will be a breakthrough and hurry to enter this industry, because the world has not seen anything like this. But in fact few people are interested in it from an artistic point of view, most people see it as a speculative component. In the same way Real State NFTs will be perceived. Just another type of NFT tokens, which can be speculated with and profit. There is no other use for these tokens yet, which is why most of them depreciate so quickly.
