Are you referring to QNT token on Ethereum blockchain? This is a good project that started back in 2018. Investing in it has always been attractive, even this year. But not now. Right now, buying an overbought token at $180 is too risky and expensive because it's unclear how this year will end for the crypto market. But the $50 in June this year was a good entry point for investors of all types, as that investment has already made good money. First of all i think you can never be 100% sure that a new project is not a scam but of course if you do your research and if you check and read everything that is available about that project, then you can at least reduce the risk a lot. I personally only invest into projects that have a real use-case that i can understand, so i would never invest into meme-coins. If i find the use-case interesting then i take a look at the whitepaper and check if it is written well or just copied together from other projects. I also take a look at the team, if the team just consists of two anonymous Devs for example then you should be wary already in my opinion. Finally i check what VC's have already invested into that project. Yesterday i was reading about magicsquare for example and they already have BinanceLabs, Huobi, Kucoin and Gate.io as their investors for example. So i will try to buy a few of those tokens once they go live. Investing in meme coins? The only thing worse than this investment is investing in fan tokens. These tokens are good for speculation, but not for long-term investment. While the examples of SHIB and DOGE refute my assertion, they are more of an exception, confirming the rule that this type of investment is garbage. I support the idea about venture capitalists, because this is one of the main features of project development, if there are no large funds, it means there is no big money in the project. |

You are right, but only some successful new projects last 2-3 years but hundreds of other new projects end up as scams, so choosing investment is very high risk because of 1:100 ratio for potential new projects, like polygon, solana and others. So currently I am ignoring investing in new projects and buying top coins at the highest discounted prices. Many investors simply do not analyze new projects enough and lose money, and then they tell you that you should not invest in new projects. A new project should have a large community in social networks, there should be constant updates. Need to watch the roadmap and releases of the project, whether they coincide with the date on the roadmap. You need to look at who the investor is and what the tokenomics of the project is. You need to look at where the project is presented, on which exchanges.
