2201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit coins era is going to end on: October 09, 2022, 08:35:31 PM
Hope its a end of those shitcoins.

I don't agree that the end of the shitcoin era has arrived. Shitcoins are gaining momentum every year. Every year more and more such coins appear. Just look at the statistics of dead coins that appeared in 2021. The growth is fantastic, and it will continue to grow.

Shitcoins are an integral part of the crypto market. And they will keep popping up until the crypto market is regulated, similar to what is seen in the stock market. Even with their level of regulation, though, there is still a category of stocks called junk stocks.

2203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crash Incoming? on: October 09, 2022, 08:10:27 PM
I am not sure that the market has bottomed out, so a further collapse is still possible. If you look fundamentally, there are all the prerequisites for this: geopolitical instability, rising inflation, the economic crisis, rising unemployment, rising prices, the energy crisis. All these are good catalysts for further declines. The news often mentions that if bitcoin falls below 17600, it could trigger the liquidation of more than 75,000 bitcoins. If that happens, there will be a snowball effect, a cascading liquidation like that would trigger a deep and prolonged drop. We saw something similar in March 2020.
2204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Bottom? on: October 09, 2022, 08:08:12 PM
Maybe the release of 100,000 BTC will not be that damaging. Sure if everyone sells, we will find new levels, but right now, I think it is the only event investors wait to begin buying both Bitcoin and altcoins.
Nobody wants to buy fearing MtGox holders will dump their 9 year forced-hodled coins. Maybe they won't but it is fear of a dump that blocks many investors at this point.
The soonest the MtGox BTC are released, the better for everyone in this market. The FUD will end, and if prices drop then we get a discount.

The mt.gox bitcoin epic will go on and on. I recently read the news that bitcoin issuance has been postponed until early 2023. This year, as previously announced, there will be no refunds. I am not sure if this was the last postponement of bitcoin issuance to affected investors. This story could drag on for a very long time, being already synonymous with FUD. So don't pay much attention to such analytics.
2205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: They want your money by all means possible on: October 09, 2022, 07:01:37 PM
4. High volume on the listed exchange doesn't make a project clean from going scam.

It depends on which exchanges. If this large volume is on large exchanges, such as Binance, OKX, FTX, then the probability of a scam is minimal. Because listing on such platforms costs a lot of money. Most scammers can not afford such expenses, so they list on some exchanges with small trading volume. But fake volumes are very easy to calculate, just look at the demand for the blockchain space of a given coin.
2206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Trustwallet Safe? on: October 09, 2022, 06:58:44 PM
There are many cryptocurrency wallet softwares like metamask, trustwallet. I'm currently using Trustwallet to store my cryptocurrencies. I heard some people say that it can be hacked!
Can people hack my trustwallet?
Is it safe?
How to protect my trustwallet account?
Thanks in advance ♡

I have been using this wallet for a long time, and I can't say anything bad about it. At the same time, I can't say that it is a good option for storing my cryptocurrencies. It is exactly the same questionable option as any other mobile wallet. As written here before, the best solution is a hardware wallet. Many people are too lazy to buy a hardware wallet and hope nothing bad happens to them and that the wallets they use will never be compromised. If choosing between online wallets, I would choose metamask over trustwallet.
2207  Other / Meta / Re: MODs, where art thou? on: October 09, 2022, 04:28:28 PM
I knew I will get this question. So, I immediately started searching for the post. It takes 50 Minutes to find this post. Here it is,

Based on their own experience, global moderators do not consider links to posts from Ninjastic.space, as well as Loyce.club, as evidence. Posts that are used as evidence of any violation of the rules by users should be on the forum on a mandatory basis.

So, Based on that. I assume Mr. Right will not get banned because he already deleted those posts before moderators saw the report. So instead of reporting them on the Report Plagiarism thread, You can report to Moderators silently describing the reason. Of course, if you badly want to get him banned. Or maybe you can ask him to add source and follow the rules.

Don't treat my comment as some sort of established rule on the forum. I merely wrote that I was based on my experience of submitting applications to global moderators. Such submissions have not been reviewed for rule violations. That's why I drew that conclusion. But that's not a statement, it's just my assumption. Only global moderators can give a definitive answer on this matter.
2208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Currencies Privacy on: October 07, 2022, 08:06:22 PM
It doesn't work that way, you'll have to choose one thing. If you want privacy for all crypto-users, welcome to the underground. Unrecognized coins, use only on the darknet or among themselves, low prices, low distribution, but all private and anonymous.

If you want adopsion, distribution of cryptocurrencies, high prices, widespread use and the ability to pay with cryptocurrency in many services and stores, then welcome to regulated space, where there will be AML, where there will be KYC, where there will be oversight and regulation. You can't combine anonymity and ubiquitous use, it's too utopian a vision, alas.
2209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most of the Tokens are traded on small Exchanges, Is it Good or Scam on: October 07, 2022, 07:21:37 PM
These are some of observations related to new tokens which launched and somehow after sometime users go through these issues ..

Most tokens that are traded on such exchanges or exclusively on DEX, like pancakeswap, are scam and cannot be considered as investments. New tokens appear in the cryptosphere every day, which are much more interesting from the investment point of view, so why pay attention to such garbage, especially on an exchange like Yobit? Often, the tokens that are presented on that exchange are the only ones traded there, and that is a good sign of a scam in the future. Small exchanges have little liquidity and low attendance, so they grab every opportunity to make money.

I agree to the fact that scam exchanges like Yobit lists scam tokens and we should be careful not to invest in them. However, i disagree with your statement that all or most of the coins listed on Pancakeswap are scams. In fact, since there is no fee involved in listing on dex (although you need to provide liquidity), both good and bad projects are available on pancakeswap or uniswap.
We need to understand and learn about the project before investing in the new coins.

I didn't say that all tokens traded on pancakeswap are scam. I said that most tokens that trade exclusively on pancakeswap, and nowhere else, are not good projects. Often, tokens that only have a trading pair on pancakeswap have low trading volume and extremely weak community support, so those tokens should be bypassed. If you know examples of tokens that trade exclusively on pancakeswap and are very well-known and meaningful, in terms of trading volume, strong community and ecosystem, let me know, I will reconsider my opinion.
2210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB Blockchain hack! on: October 07, 2022, 07:17:44 PM
This proves once again that no matter how many audits a smart contract undergoes, whoever is behind its development and maintenance, it can still be hacked. All those DeFi, cross-chain bridges, liquidity pools, etc., they're all vulnerable. Just because something isn't hacked doesn't mean it's as secure as possible, just that hackers haven't discovered the vulnerabilities yet. There is no full value protection, if you interact with smart contracts, whether it is ETH, BNB, Solana, etc., you have to be prepared for the fact that there might be a hack.

331% APY Wink
2212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you think blockchain gaming technology will have evolved by 2030? on: October 06, 2022, 09:21:35 PM
It may take at least as many years for blockchain games to be fully adopted as bitcoin before these tokens have high value and go beyond trivial speculation. The main problem with such games is that investors are more likely to pull liquidity from some game than they are providers. As a result, the price of a token collapses as sales prevail over purchases. In the next 5-8 years, this industry may evolve a lot and there will be some foundations and benchmarks, but for now, all these blockchain games are not much different from each other, as they all depreciate equally fast over time and quickly lose interest among players.
The tokens will probably not be used like that. Many people imagine games where tens of thousands of people, even millions of people play, and then there is a in game currency that is a token, and it will be amazing thanks to that, but as long as it has financial value the games will not be played for being games, it will be played for money and that will always ruin the economy of it as well. Do not imagine some world of warcraft scenario where you will make a lot of money from just gamers, it is not going to happen.

If you offer even 3 dollars a day for playing, that 90 dollars is a great amount for many people around the world, which is why it is such a hard concept.

Then projects and ecosystems should create a system that will encourage players not to withdraw all liquidity from games, or developers should write smart contracts that will block part of the earnings within the game economy, thereby protecting the token price from a rapid collapse. Also, minting and token burning systems should be designed more carefully. Often game projects face the problem that burning is quite slow and game tokens become inflationary.
There must be effective securirty measures against bots and multi accounts as well. The environment must be friendly to casual players and not only the usual addicted ones who destroy the sustainability of the game for being greedy and too egoistical to understand everyone needs to profit from the game, so it can survive for longer. People won't play a game they don't feel it's rewarding and entertaining.

unfortunatelly developers don't care about these points, because they already profit through another ways, like selling packages with extra benefits for buyers. And that seems enough for them.

At the moment there is no effective protection against bots and auto-clickers. Any project, be it a game or some service, is crawling with bots and auto-registrations. There is no way to do without it. The only radical way to reduce the number of bots is to introduce full KYC. But what do you think, what awaits such a game after these measures? Complete oblivion? Most likely. This approach is not welcomed in the cryptosphere, and sometimes even condemned. Even if it's done with good intentions, it will still scare away a huge amount of community.
2213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you think blockchain gaming technology will have evolved by 2030? on: October 06, 2022, 08:58:53 PM
In this regard we see that currently people are more attracted to the web3 technology.

Exactly. People are now attracted to virtual worlds, to various collaborations of virtual projects and real companies, tokenization of everything. Tokenization, from pictures to identities. There's also the domain theme gaining momentum right now. This may turn out to be the next big hype in the next bull run. Also in this category could be meta universes, soulbound tokens, digital passcodes, and other attributes that are starting to emerge in 2021-2022.
2214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No doubt POS is centralized on: October 06, 2022, 08:04:09 PM
Currently more and more coins are using PoS. PoW is already becoming a very unpopular and persecuted consensus. Various governments oppose PoW, make various dubious arguments in favor of PoS, even trying to transfer bitcoin to PoS. This trend has been rapidly gaining momentum since last year. If you take the crypto industry 8-10 years ago, there many popular cryptocurrencies were on PoW, and now on PoS. Cryptocurrencies have long been moving toward regulation and centralization.

It's all the governments' fault. They want to control Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies by enforcing KYC/AML across every single centralized exchange. When they can't control trades performed directly on the Blockchain, they quickly attack crypto by saying it's "harmful to the environment". But the thing is Bitcoin can be as clean as any ordinary PoS coin if miners use alternative/renewable energy sources. If the vast majority of miners begin using solar, wind, geothermal, or even hydroelectric energy, then PoW would be environmentally-friendly.

This is nothing more than a plan for governments to push PoS in order to centralize the entire crypto/Blockchain space. Sadly, Ethereum fell for it by adopting the consensus algorithm. Other cryptocurrencies like Cardano, BNB, and even Polygon (MATIC) are PoS, so it should only be a matter of time before Bitcoin remains as the sole PoW cryptocurrency in the world. Even Zcash hinted the possibility of switching to PoS for "self-sustainability". I'm pretty sure whales will fill their pockets with a lot of money, leaving the little guy out of the system. What matters is that Bitcoin remains a PoW cryptocurrency to resist the evil forces of centralization. As long as it stays that way, no one will be able to stop it. Just my thoughts Grin

The important thing is that bitcoin does not eventually break down in the face of government oppression. The government has two ways to fully control bitcoin:

1. Moves to PoS, controlling the blockchain, transactions and capacity, blocking and sanctioning any address. The perfect control tool. But there is a nuance here, a move to pos may kill all faith in bitcoin, so such drastic measures may turn out badly for the value of this asset.

2. The regulation of cryptocurrencies is being actively discussed. I recently came across another article where government officials are proposing to introduce KYC for bitcoin addresses. A nonsense that breaks all principles of cryptocurrencies and bitcoin, but it is already implemented. I read that in Dutch exchanges when transferring funds you have to give personal data not only of the sender, but also of the recipient. How do you like it? Alas, this is reality. This may take years or decades. After all, some 10 years have passed and now people are already more relaxed about KYC in cryptocurrency.
2215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next Gem Coin on: October 06, 2022, 07:56:03 PM

More like a scam than a gem coin. The price of IDO was 50 cents. Unrealistically huge price for a GameFi project. It feels like seed investors just unloaded at the expense of public investors, sold them all their coins at the start of trading, got a quick profit and quickly forgot about this project. Otherwise, how to explain the fact that the price has already made -x20 of the ico price?  The capitalization is low, less than 1 bitcoin. It's too risky to invest in it, no trading volume, no capitalization, vague prospects.
maybe he hoped the so-called coin would be like Dogecoin. lol
it is true i see very low trading volume and almost very few enthusiasts of the coin. indeed there is nothing that will not happen when the bulls come but if the coin is without a big fan and does not have a strong community, chances are MMETA will just be a coin like the past (hit and run) when the price starts to go up and throw everything away.

That's what almost all of the new meme tokens founders hope for. The glory of DOGE and SHIB keeps haunts them. They want to repeat this success and become millionaires or even billionaires overnight. The subtlety is that no one needs these coins by themselves, no one will invest in them without a catalyst. The catalyst must be a famous person who will make the distribution of this coin go viral. Mentions about the coin must go beyond the cryptocommunity and go through social networks, as it was with DOGE and SHIB. Also, it's worth understanding that these processes will not start by themselves, they must be supported, including financially. And most of the founders of such projects simply have no money for that. No money, no banquet.
2216  Other / Meta / Re: The curious case of the Brand New user with posts on: October 06, 2022, 05:33:24 PM
Any idea why this user did not rank up to Newbie or why his posts can not be seen on the forum?
Maybe all of the posts were moved to trashcan. This means technically the posts are not deleted but as regular users we can not see them. Since they are in trashcan, perhaps that's the reason the activity did not count to.

You are correct. All of AIbotBTC user's posts were in one single topic, the topic was moved to Trashcan. And since Trashcan is not available to ordinary users, then, accordingly, all his posts are not visible to the ordinary user, but they are displayed in the user's profile, as they have not been completely removed from the forum.
2217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Crypto Twitter reacted to Kim Kardashian’s $1.26M SEC fine on: October 05, 2022, 05:19:12 PM
The crypto community reacted with a mix of disbelief and amusement after reality star Kim Kardashian was fined for promoting the cryptocurrency EthereumMax (EMAX).

All these media stars are almost always promoting outright scam and garbage. As one famous investor said, if I see a crypto product promoted by a famous person from the world of Internet, sports, etc., then I will refuse to invest in this project. Think about previous years, for example Floyd Mayweather ads, when he was advertising different ICO in social networks. No better than the current situation with Kim Kardashian, who advertises outright garbage. Then it all ends up in scandalous revelations and lawsuits.

Next Gem coin in my opinion is a project from Asia, namely MMETA, or Duckieland,
I'm sure many haven't heard of this name, that's why I introduce MMETA to you,
the price is still very cheap and can really be said to be Hidden GEM,
if you don't believe it you can see it here https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/duckie-land/

2220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does new projects succeed in bear on: October 05, 2022, 02:54:49 PM
Success rate of the new projects during bear market are low, and that’s expected since many are hesitant to buy or invest on bear market because of fear on losing the money.

Those bounties are pretty normal for every project, but there’s no guarantee that the project will succeed because it will still depend on the project itself, and regardless of the market trend if the project is not good, you can’t expect that to succeed.

They continue to invest in new projects, but not as much as they would if it were a bull market, when money poured into everything. A bear market forces a selective approach to investing. Of course, all the projects that are not competitive, offering a product that has been on the market for a long time, are likely to die and no one will remember about them anymore. Are there such projects in the bounty section? Almost all of them are. I believe that the promotion of new projects has long gone beyond the bounty format. Not a single more or less worthwhile crypto project, from the category of new projects, uses this type of advertising anymore.
