2261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: btc alternatives to use when withdrawing from the exchange on: September 23, 2022, 08:07:42 PM
I also tried to withdraw less than $10 on bybit and binance and the exchanges would not allow me to withdraw...I think I saw a video a while back where they recommended withdrawing $1 first to test (to make sure I choose the right network etc). The other day I tried to withdraw 4 dollars with bybit and binance and I got the message: the withdrawal is less than the minimum allowed.

Bybit has minimal withdrawal amount - 0.001 BTC, so you can't withdraw 10$ via bitcoin network. Binance has very expensive withdrawal of many coins. If you are not afraid of KYC, it is better to use FTX exchange, there withdrawal of bitcoin and most altcoins is free.

2263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useful websites for traders on: September 20, 2022, 08:48:28 PM
For traders, I would also add the following sites.

  • TradingView - Charts of various coins
  • ListedOn - Listings of new coins and pairs on exchanges
  • Scew - Onchain analytics on exchanges
  • Coinigy - Trade on multiple exchanges through one terminal

And of course don't forget about cryptocurrency price monitoring services and tracking your crypto portfolio.
2264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins will not survive the bear market? on: September 20, 2022, 08:45:27 PM
Feel free to share your guess, but please back it up.
Does surviving or not depend on the amount of demand?
Or does it depend on the quality of the tech behind the project? Those 2 don't necessarily go hand in hand.

It seems to me that BTC and Ethereum thank their growth prospects to their established names, rather than the tech behind it.
If you think it's different, let me know.

In this bear cycle, it is those projects that do not have partners and investors behind them that will not survive. Anything that was born at the expense of a hype and the desire to make money from that hype will die and never come to life again. This is especially true for NFT tokens, when someone releases a collection without any collaboration with big names. Just a collection for the sake of a collection. The same goes for Play-to-Earn games.
2265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fan Tokens on: September 20, 2022, 08:14:28 PM
This fan token has an important role to strengthen the club community. Basically, fan tokens don't have to have a base value (or the crypto asset that they are based on) bitcoin or ethereum. In other words, the value of fan tokens is measured by the value of fans who buy tokens and the value of loyalty to the club they like. and when a fan has shown their loyalty to a club then the token will explode.

Only if these fan tokens are supported by the fan community and the clubs on which the fan tokens are based. A large number of fan tokens are created without this linkage, only on the basis of the name of a club or sport. There's nothing else behind this fan token. As long as there isn't a system of utilitarian connections between fan tokens and real life, not many people will be interested in them.
2266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No doubt POS is centralized on: September 20, 2022, 08:12:29 PM
It seems the major concern about Proof of stake that experts here warned about has begin to see the light.
According to cointelegraph, 40% of ethereum nodes are controlled by two addresses which are Lido and Coinbase.
This has just proven more that POS is not decentralized and favours investors with higher token supply
source

There is no decentralization in PoS, and never has been. This is a big myth, which is imposed on us by developers of such coins and those who actively promote them in the network. It has been noticed more than once that when some PoS coin votes, 90% of addresses belong to one or several addresses. What kind of decentralization with such distribution of coins and votes can we talk about? ETH became just as centralized after the merger. More than 50% of the network validators are owned by a few large companies.

I think it's more likely that he's referring to his Bitcointalk account after all. And also, I think he means the notebooks, which are very similar and that he mixed them up. And trying to restore the password with the password recovery function, he banned himself.
2268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now it's time for staking on: September 20, 2022, 01:11:42 PM
Famz is there anyway someone can early month staking a altcoin? I don't want the yearly ones APY right? I want monthly and also I will like or prefer to stake BTC or USDT or any top altcoins like XRP or BNB just to be on the safer side, the year we are in a bear market but I am in for the long term so I really don't care about market situation.

This is not a time for staking, but for investing and reinvesting. There is no point in staking stablecoins when there are plenty of good altcoins on the market at good prices, which in the long run will yield much more profit than staking. Although you can use this method for diversification, it's not very profitable to prioritize it in the long run. Staking BTC is not worth the interest you exchange for the risks associated with depositing funds into staking pools, it is better to keep such assets in a wallet.
2269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To all 100x hunters out there on: September 20, 2022, 01:07:30 PM
The market conditions that are still red certainly make many top projects also difficult to rise let alone up to 100x, this is common in new projects so I suggest for investing in new projects, I am lucky to get big profits because investing in new projects, this We are worth trying, and focus on the analysis before making a decision.

It's true what you say, if we want to generate big profits we can invest in new projects. But it must be remembered that the risk is very large,
because to find new projects that provide large profits is very difficult. That's because the new projects that circulate mostly end up being scams,
finding good new projects is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Even if we are not careful and choose the wrong project for investment,
we will lose all our money. Sometimes we have done research and analysis correctly, but the results are not what we expected. Because it takes luck
also looking for new projects that can generate large profits. I prefer to focus on investing in top coins, even though the profit generated is not large,
but the risk is smaller. And also actually if we accumulate profits from top coins, it can be big in the end.

To avoid falling into such a risk group, you need to look for new projects only among those that are supported by major exchanges and funds listed in tier 1 or 2. What do investors who buy projects that are not supported by anyone, do not have a vesting table and are not presented on major exchanges count on? Of course, projects that don't have such a set of characteristics are prone to scam and just dissolve over time. To find new gem projects you need to use more analytics.
2270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tornado Cash Develoepr got arrested, why Monero, Beam or Secret founder are free on: September 19, 2022, 10:15:23 PM
Apparently, this is due to the fact that Tornado cash very often appeared in various reports related to DeFi hacks. After all, it was a favorite place for hackers to launder money, and the amounts there were huge. Of the last major hacks where this mixer was used, we can recall the Ronin hack. Perhaps the too frequent mention of this service in the news related to the theft of funds was the reason for the regulators to pay close attention to it.
2271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can someone explain to me why did ETH drop after the merge? on: September 19, 2022, 09:24:44 PM
Everyone expected explosive growth after the merger, just as everyone expected growth after bitcoin's halving. People started buying ETH to make money on the event. Merger happened, nothing important happened in ETH price, consequently people began to get rid of ETH, large amount of coins was sent to exchanges again and this caused the price to go down. Everything is standard and such scenarios in cryptocurrency are not rare. People buy assets in anticipation of some kind of event and then a dump occurs after that event.
2272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [POLL] After the merge the price of Ethereum will go? on: September 19, 2022, 09:21:42 PM
Too bad the results of the vote are not visible, but somehow I'm sure that the majority voted for growth. Growth did not happen, the merger passed, and the community is in such a mood, as if it never happened. The hype surrounding the merger was greater than the merger and its aftermath.  Now the price broke the support line and went down. There is a chance that ETH will soon be trading at ~$1000.
2273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Basic Attention Token Price Prediction | Is BAT a Good Investment? on: September 19, 2022, 09:18:07 PM
This token has good support and a good chart. Of course, it's no longer a gem and it's unlikely to earn x100 on an investment in BAT, but it's quite suitable for long-term investment. Maybe in the next bull run, BAT will be able to cross the $2 mark. Right now the price is around $0.30. I think it's a good start to start investing.

2275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Few crypto thoughts of the day on: September 18, 2022, 08:55:51 PM
1. The minimum deep that BTC dived to was 17,500$ do you still think we are going below 13,000$? If yes please explain.
2. Does it matter if you build a crypto portfolio at 15k per BTC or 10k per BTC.
3. In 2020 covid was the reason why BTC crumbled to 3,500$ what will happen in 2023 that will bring the same deep dive to crypto market.
4. Crypto keeps looking stronger every year, it's getting more recognised and big players of the world are saying BTC is a better store of value than the dollar for long term, are they right.

1. If the economic situation worsens, 17,500 will no longer be the minimum, the decline will continue;
2. If you invest in bitcoin for 10 years, you don't, if you invest for 1 year, you do;
2. Why does it suddenly have to happen in 2023? Anything can happen in 2024;
4. In the long run bitcoin certainly retains value better than the dollar, as inflation eats away at the value of fiat at a rapid pace.
2276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BOBA? OMG? What's the story here? on: September 18, 2022, 07:40:28 PM
BOBA is a Layer 2 solution for OMG, designed to reduce gas costs and scale the network. OMG Network has been renamed OMG Foundation. OMG network functions in ETH blockchain, but there are big commissions. So OMG is not dead, but will now interface with L1 and L2 networks.
2277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fan Tokens on: September 18, 2022, 07:37:53 PM
I would not look forward on that even as a sports fan. I'd rather go to the game buy memorabilia and try my luck for a player to sign on it.
That will be better than an NFT item which value could go lesser as time flies by than a real thing that could be displayed in your house and boast to your sports friends.
They keep on advertising the Sports NFT's because there's not many buyers. It doesn't really work. Lower your expectation for it to gain value.

The NFT industry is still at an early stage, so many people don't see the value and convenience in using and acquiring NFT, even if they give some advantages and entitle them to claim some real things. A lot of people are scared off by the fact that there is a lot of scam around NFT and tokens lose value very quickly after they have been minted. Maybe in the future this will all be solved, for example by free mint creating collections or with special fan soulbound tokens that will be associated with a particular user.
2278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me choose on: September 18, 2022, 06:53:35 PM
Those coins you mentioned is unknown to us, so i believe that even in top twenty of altcoins they are not included, so i believe that they are new token's which they are trying to make popular, so analysing the one that is going be productive during bullish market when we have not know the potentiality of the coin is quite wrong, at least fifty persons out of hundred in this forums can not explain much about the coin

Of these three projects, Lido is the best known. It is supported by a large number of large investors:

Quote
Coinbase Ventures
Alameda Research
Three Arrows Capital
Paradigm
Divergence Ventures
DeFiance Capital
Andreessen Horowitz (A16z)
Digital Currency Group
Bitscale Capital
DragonFly Capital
The LAO
Delphi Digital
Robot Ventures
OP Crypto
.

This project has good potential. Those investors who bought these tokens in the summer, during the correction, even now already have a good profit. This is one of the few projects that after last year almost did not lose in price, and the serious support among exchanges also has an impact.
2279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will "De-Fi" platforms be subject to KYC/AML laws in the future? on: September 18, 2022, 06:47:58 PM
If we want to ensure that there is less scam in the DeFi space and no fear of another rug pull, then DeFi regulation is necessary. DeFi expert, Andre Cronje, wrote about this earlier. A large number of crypto projects are launched in unregulated crypto spaces and investors are completely defenseless against the threat of a scam or liquidity theft. After all, in order to register another token, one can remain anonymous and do anything. Everyone remembers the actions of Sushi's creator, for example. If we are talking about this space becoming a civilized environment for investing and using, it will never happen without regulation. Although it may go against the principles of cryptocurrency, the reality is that where there is no regulation, fraud and manipulation reign.
2280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Testnet hunters on here? on: September 18, 2022, 06:36:24 PM
I heard that testnets participants are earning good money since last year, is this better than crypto airdrops and bounties this days? Any testnet participants on here to testify this? I heard this from a friend and he claimed he got better results compare to airdrops and bounties.

Most testnets bring nothing, especially those that do not use real liquidity. So, if you want to earn on testnet, get ready to realize the fact that 90% of actions in testnet will have no effect, and the remaining 10% will have to wait for some time, because after the end of testnet it may take several months before the main network is launched and tokens, which were given to you as a reward, will be presented on some exchange.
