2421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Theta - thoughts on it's prospects? on: August 02, 2022, 08:36:52 PM
As far as I remember, it is a decentralized video streaming project. Last year it showed a very good yield for its ivnestors. The ICO was 12 cents in January. The project made x100 profit. I haven't heard of Sony, but I know they are in partnership with SamsungNext. What confuses me about this project, as a long-term investment, is the offer of a billion tokens. When the project came out, there were only 20,000,000 coins available. Now the offer is maxed out, which is why the price has dropped so much. I don't expect this project to give many X's to its investors in the future. Everything it could give to the maximum, it has already given.
2422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba lovers lower your expectations on: August 02, 2022, 08:07:44 PM
I've seen such crazy expectations from Shiba here, up to $5 for 1 token. haha, that's funny. But still, it's far from objective and reality. Right now the price is $0.00001188 with a capitalization of $7 billion and a circulating supply of 589,380,658,727,876 coins. A price of $0.005, even with the same supply, should increase the capitalization to $3 trillion. Do you seriously think some memcoin could reach that amount? You're a little less of a dreamer than those waiting for a $1 price.
2423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrencies eliminate the need for credit/debit cards in the future? on: August 02, 2022, 07:47:17 PM
I don't think cryptocurrencies will remove the functionality of a credit/debit card. maybe this can happen after 10 or 20 years because to make changes takes a long time, and it is impossible for conventional banks to be silent without making any developments when crypto is increasingly known and used by all humans on earth. so don't think too far.

This is not likely to happen. Just like there will be no replacement of fiat with bitcoin. The banking system and cryptocurrencies will coexist in parallel, without the possibility of replacing each other. Cryptocurrencies can offer an alternative, but not a replacement. Although banks, with the launch of CBDC may try to replace cryptocurrencies, as banks and the state have more leverage in such processes, they can just legally restrain the development of cryptocurrencies and it will be very difficult to resist, or again leave the legal field, but for cryptocurrencies, it will be a return to 2012, when cryptocurrencies were used mainly in the shadow sector.
2424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is helping to eradicate poverty in poor countries on: August 02, 2022, 07:36:02 PM
I came across a post on how bitcoin is and can  really help in financial inclusion especially in poors, especially in poor countries where averege income is as low as 30 dollar a month.
I think we need to focus on educating people on crypto. Once educated people will embrace crypto with open arms.

It has been helping for a long time. In countries with an unstable financial environment, with hyper inflation people prefer to use bitcoin through p2p platforms. It helps bypass domestic banking restrictions of specific countries, keeps funds from losing value, and sends value cheaply between sender and receiver. As far as I remember, there was a topic on the forum dedicated to these countries, Argentina, Vietnam, the Philippines, etc. were among them. And there this trend is growing exponentially.
2425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Potential projects on: August 02, 2022, 07:27:32 PM
What we need to handle right now is the big names, not the knowing potentials of new projects. I know that alts are mainly about the small guy who created a product for 10k dollars or under and then managed to make millions from it because he created something everyone wants.

But, you have to understand that the story there is about the creator, not the investor and people do admire that person, but you can't be that person if you do not know how hard that is. Instead, focus on the top 10, or even top 25 if you want to, but that's about it because we are barely getting out of a bear market and we need to make sure that we are doing safe stuff right now, until we can recoup our losses and comfortably in a profit position.

Top 10? And what is included there? Bitcoin, ETH, 3 stablecoins and XRP, which has been stomping around in the same place for 5 years? What is there to focus on? In cryptocurrency, this stereotype will soon have a long gray beard about the top 10 and the attention to it. There's almost nothing to pay attention to. It's better to expand your list to the top 100, there are a lot of old proven altcoins there as well, and there are young promising projects there as well. Diversification in investing from such a choice will be more effective and there will be a certain balance between risk and opportunity to earn.
2426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will the next Bull run look like? on: August 02, 2022, 02:42:12 PM
The next bull run will probably start about 9 months are the next bitcoin block reward halving. Tye next one is estimated to be April 2024 so you are looking at early 2025 before there are any real fireworks. Alts tend to lag behind bitcoin’s lead so maybe a little longer. We are undoubtedly in a bear market now though so you have time to accumulate.

Only if it does happen, it will not be a bullrun in the broad sense of the word, but only its preparatory and accumulative part. Look at the halving in 2020, the bullrun did not start until six months after the halving came, and all that time there was a slow and smooth accumulation, the price slowly getting closer to the ATH price and then flying off into space. Given that, we can assume that the bull run will not begin until late 2024 at the earliest.
2427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Potential projects on: August 02, 2022, 02:38:34 PM
As we all are seeing the launching of new projects one after one. So, one should take care of many things before investing. How to know the real potential of these new projects?

Look at the team, their background and anonymity. Also look at the list of venture capitalists, funds, who support the project. Also look at the tokenomics of the project, what vesting, how many coins go to the team, advisors, etc. Pay attention to where the initial sales of the project, if the tokens were sold only on the project website or on some launchpad for little-known tokens, then you should not expect anything good from such a project. Projects that cost more than 60 cents at a public sale will not bring much profit either.
2428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin price and NFTs market on: August 01, 2022, 10:42:19 PM
It seems as though this slight rally is nothing more than a price trap, many coins haven't responded positively to this rally, and that's not a difficult thing to understand either. However it should be said that investing in NFTs is very risky because of their hype, once the hype is gone they will no longer be worth it. Whether the NFT trend is really over is not confirmed yet, we need more time to confirm.

There was no rally as such. The market grows very slowly and uncertainly. The NFT hype, in all likelihood, has already ended. Many NFTs are no longer worth the money they were bought or offered for, but the end of the hype does not mean that NFTs will no longer figure in the altcoin world. Further development will continue, but not as crazy as before. Usually, a hype for a certain group of cryptocurrencies lasts no more than 6-12 months.

Perhaps, as you say, it is possible that the hype will fade in the future, but it will not completely disappear. Like other trends, there will still be a small corner of the market and there will also be a small segment that continues to participate and invest in them. This will increase the diversity and richness of the market.

But will it be called a hype? More like a natural process of industry development, the emergence of competitors, the struggle for a place in the sun. The big hype in NFT may not happen anymore, but local hypes in NFT may appear from time to time. But judging by the past history of the industry, the market seldom likes to repeat itself and most often launches completely new categories of projects as a hype.
2429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SafeMoon - Prediction and Future on: August 01, 2022, 10:25:05 PM
after a decrease in the price of bitcoin like this, this coin meme no longer has price movements, will it still reach the moon? or left on earth with other meme coins,
prediction after prediction for the meme coin is very much but in reality nothing lasts like doge coin

This coin will be in "dead" status until someone decides to make a pamp and it can rise very quickly. I've seen examples where after one video mentioning memcoin, the price of this coin went up dozens of times in a short period of time. This project has small capitalization, so if someone wants to invest in promotion of this project through social networks or youtube Influencers, it can have good short-term effect, but I would not invest in it, because it reminds me of gambling.
2430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New scenario for cryptocurrencies next semester on: August 01, 2022, 10:18:40 PM
What is your current view on IEO investments for the next quarter? the points you take into consideration when investing in this type of release? What are its perks and benefits?

The basic look never changes: it's the team, the tokenomics, and the partnership of the project. These parameters will always matter in IEO, regardless of the market or trend. Even in a bearish trend, there can be projects that yield tens and hundreds of X's. Think of step ann or STEPN projects that gave 100 X's in a bear market. The trend of altcoins themselves is also important, if it is NFT or Metaverse, the project may collect a bit more capitalization than some DeFi protocol.
2431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will the next Bull run look like? on: August 01, 2022, 12:46:13 PM
Realistically, what will the next bull run look like?

Just like the previous one. First, as many market participants as possible must be flushed out of the market, then gradually accumulate coins and finally, under some pretext, launch a cryptocurrency hype. The market works by the pump&dump principle. This is its main feature, and what events this pump&dump will be organized for is not particularly important. If you wonder who will be the driver for the next bull run, it will probably be banks, institutional investors from the stock market, some small states, and other categories of investors.
2432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good and adequate staking platforms on: July 31, 2022, 11:03:35 PM
Why do you need it?

In order for bought altcoins to bring income even in a bear market, at least in the form of additional coins.

Why take risks because of 10-15% per annum with your capital?

I try not to look at such APYs, optimally it's no more than 7%. They'll never pay more than that anyway, because pools like to cut rates as they go staking.

And don't use centralized exchanges for that.

I agree, not the best idea.

It is better to buy coins when they are cheap and sell them. Annual profit will be higher and less risk.

The market only grows once every 2-4 years, what do the rest of the time, just sit back and wait for things to start growing? I try to make the most of the market, not just when things start to go up.
2433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which token should I use for my investment ? on: July 31, 2022, 10:30:16 PM
Can anyone tell me which token should I use for my investment which will give me profit in a short time as I am investing for the first time?

You won't get an answer to your question because no one knows for sure if this or that token will grow or not in a short period of time. If you don't understand the market and don't understand altcoins, there is no point in investing in it. You have a desire to make money, but no desire to understand the investments on offer, so you have found an easy way to come to a forum, ask a question, get a ready answer, and quietly profit from it. After you've lost money on such advice several times, maybe you'll start thinking with your own head.

The lack of critical thinking is why we are in this position
Noobs think investing in crypto will change their lives and become rich overnight
And invest their life savings into shitcoin, then they cry about getting wiped out from a rug pull
They were broke before they even began, same people mentality that wanted to make money on SQUID coin.

The point here is not even in shitcoins, but in the fact that when buying this or that coin, even a good one, a person does not have a full understanding of why and for what strategy he bought it. Any good and promising coin can be recommended to such a user, but he, with greater probability, either will sell it when it is not worth doing or, on the contrary, will buy it when it is too late. You should buy only what you've studied yourself, not what you've read in the comments.
2434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You won't find this on Google yet on: July 31, 2022, 10:11:47 PM
INO stands for — Initial NFT Offering

You are welcome.

Edit: My search must have been low quality that's why couldn't find it  Lips sealed

What's so special about this title? It's a regular public NFT sale, there were a lot of them in 2021, and in 2022 they continue to appear almost every day. There are a lot of them through discord where you are asked to sign up, get a role, then have a balance in your wallet and get access to buying NFT. Then, when the project appears on some marketplace, floor price rises and you can sell this NFT at a profit, because it cost much lower on the marketplace. The scheme is the same as for all the other IDO, IEO, etc., just called something else.

2436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good and adequate staking platforms on: July 31, 2022, 02:00:04 PM
~ Exchanges as staking platforms have shown themselves to be the worst, constantly changing even the fixed staking rates. Convinced by my own experience.
Isn't this true to all staking platforms? Rates are only fixed for a particular period and changes when circumstances require them to do so.

Yes, but when you buy a package that says that the profit percentage is fixed for the whole term of the deposit, and after a while you find out that the profit percentage in the package is reduced by two and a half times, it looks somehow not nice from the side of the exchange.
2437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Muuinu next big memecoin? on: July 30, 2022, 09:45:23 PM
In fact I see a lot of "inu" variation around here being promoted by some random users that are just used for shilling and not technically anything that is forum-related in the long term.
I guess I understand that these exchanges do not mind about its utility and as long as it is a hot cake, it will surely be promoted really hard.
That's what I see at least lately.

Here they try to promote either completely known and proven tokens, which have already grown long ago, and people keep dreaming that they will grow another 100 times. Or they shill projects that are completely scam, about which they don't even know anything, sometimes they don't even have a website. New memcoins are popping up on all the big blockchains right now. This topic will live on as long as the main memcoins of the industry, represented by DOGE and SHIB, will be popular.
2438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Merge: The most anticipated upgrade on Ethereum blockchain on: July 30, 2022, 09:22:46 PM
Will Ethereum sustain its current bullish trend during and after this merge?

This event is very difficult to predict in the short term. The reaction of miners and the community may be unexpected. ETH began to flow frequently to exchanges, maybe holders are getting ready to sell ETH on the background of the continuing growth. There is also news that the community is considering a PoW branch of ETH, which can cause a split in the network, as it was with ETC.
2439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you be able to advise me on Non-compliant Crypto ? on: July 30, 2022, 08:52:25 PM
Would you be able to advise me on ADA, ATOM, VET and XLM? I worry that I am holding non-compliant crypto in my portfolio

Good set for investing, but I would exclude Stellar from this list. The coin has been underdeveloped for the last 5 years and the fact that they never managed to update the 2018 ATH suggests that it is not a promising altcoin, but one of those projects that is stuck in the past, it is stomping on one place. You should also wonder what you expect from this investment. If x100 or something like that, you picked the wrong coins. You should choose from new altcoins and not from those that have already grown by thousands of percent. If you are considering these projects in the long term, they are good options, except for Stellar.
2440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is E-DeFi , and How it could help Crypto Community in Time of Dip on: July 30, 2022, 08:37:58 PM
Bitcoin's popularization and use will only happen through bitcoin itself, not through E-DeFi and other options. Bitcoin is self-sufficient to accept payments without all the e-commerce and DeFi stuff. DeFi has a very bad reputation right now, most DeFi tokens deployed are scam and useless tokens. Only time will help the cryptocurrency community get out of the bottom, as it did before. The market shows nothing new, only repeating old tricks.
