2141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Censorship be the end of the Ethereum Network? on: October 23, 2022, 08:46:36 PM
What are your thoughts on these recent events? And what project do you guys believe could surpass Ethereum?

None. All the big PoS projects that provide a platform for smart contracts are centralized and subject to censorship. Do you think other networks offer something decentralized and free of regulators? Not likely. Ethereum was apparently the last platform to run on RoW. Blockchain is slowly buckling under centralization and regulation. Tokens and coins are trying to fit under securities law so that they can be regulated and fully controlled.

Well, you look like you must have an even darker vision than I do for the future of cryptocurrencies. So, does it mean that you believe we are just watching the beginning of the end for Decentralization and everything that Satoshi's main vision stood for? Do you think we are heading to complete control with no alternatives?

I wouldn't call it dark, I would call it as logical and realistic as possible. Look around you, almost the entire industry has been influenced by kyc and regulators. Most countries around the world have created their legislative frameworks and taxation for cryptocurrencies. And all of this is part of centralization and control. Any centralized exchange that supports kyc and aml policies can block and confiscate cryptocurrencies. Also, cryptocurrencies have political censorship and sanctions that prevent certain citizens from using cryptocurrencies and using services. That's a full-fledged control and regulation.  How do I see the future of cryptocurrencies? Fully regulated. Alas, there is no trace of the original intent of cryptocurrencies themselves. Cryptocurrencies were supposed to fight the oppression of central banks and governments, but that's not how it turned out. These same bankers and governments control cryptocurrencies and dictate their terms. People do not use cryptocurrencies as an alternative to fiat, they seek to exchange cryptocurrencies for fiat, through various speculations.

Governments will continue to increase control and regulation. The reason for this is that once worthless coins, once worth very little and taken seriously by few, have become worth very much and a huge value has been transferred through the blockchain. Billions of dollars. Now it is a full-fledged industry, and governments, along with banks, will not miss the opportunity to make it all work for them.
2142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Crypto Twitter reacted to Kim Kardashian’s $1.26M SEC fine on: October 23, 2022, 08:19:00 PM
All these media stars are almost always promoting outright scam and garbage.

the question I ask: what is really missing for so many celebrities to have promoted shitcoin?

because celebrities are rich people, they don't even need the money these shitcoins give, but how is it possible that celebrities don't have legal advisors and people who are able to do research on these scam projects and alert celebrities?

They are paid huge royalties for promotion, which allows them to make money on that coin, as opposed to the crowd of naive investors who believed the Influencer. Influencers have always gotten a lot of money for promoting a product to their audience. I think if there were any modest sums involved, these celebrities wouldn't cooperate. If they're spending their time and their media resources, that means there are some extremely lucrative contracts out there.

2144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to earn aside from bounty campaign and airdrop on: October 23, 2022, 07:43:50 PM
Testnets and nodes are now the most relevant option if we are talking about earning cryptocurrencies without initial investment. I would like to point out that most of testnet and nodes will never bring you any profit, especially where there is no need to attract real cryptocurrencies. I can also advise those who want to spend their time on cryptocurrencies to participate in Gleam giveaways and airdrop. This is a very popular platform for promotion of different cryptocurrencies and there are new tasks there every day.
The task of tesnets and nodes is very easy and even comes with a tutorial on the medium article, we are only tasked with testing the testnets mode platform to get incentives when tokens will be distributed, but I rarely follow gleam rewards because it has several tasks depending on different projects, but I'm sure there are some new testnets that will potentially grow like Aptos and keep exploring to find other potential tetnets.

I cannot agree with you that tesnets, and especially nodes, are simple. Some tesnets require some knowledge when you test some platform or service. If you have no experience in navigating nets, bridges, and wallets, even with a guide, it can take you a long time to figure it all out, and it can take hours to get through the whole testnet.

With nodes, everything is simple until you start setting it all up. If the user is completely unfamiliar with setting up his own server and the command line in Ubuntu, even with a ready-made manual it will be difficult for him to figure out all those console line commands, what works and how to set it up. You need at least minimal technical knowledge to successfully participate in the nodes.

2146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: October 22, 2022, 09:46:52 PM
Yeah but people must aware despite the fact that if bitcoin is still doing sideway and downfall can come anytime just like when bitcoin was dropping below 19k. People must not feel scared for that but newbies will be continue to panic sell their tokens.
It can be seen from how many coins got negative result once bitcoin was only dropping around 1 percents which doesn't even make sense to see that.

Because many people don't understand how the market works. The big players never buy at the top of the market or during the ATH, but instead lock in profits. Newcomers do the opposite. Big players always buy during panic sales and actively use a hoarding strategy. Beginners do the opposite, they maximize their selling during sell-offs and buy nothing. This psychology works in all financial markets.
2147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Realizing the value of holding cash on: October 22, 2022, 09:27:40 PM
During bull runs, the crowd buys everything, because it's a hype, and people don't think about the fact that it won't last forever, but that it will one day end and it will be the opposite, because the market will start to sell off and prices will fall. Most investors don't have the spare cash to make purchases when the market gives them the opportunity. They buy with all the money they have available and then sit back and lose, because they can't diversify. When the need for money arises, they start selling something at a big loss. All this behavior is not characteristic of real investing and resembles simple and trivial short-term speculation.
2148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are privacy coins already dying on: October 22, 2022, 08:41:21 PM
Cryptocurrency privacy itself, like coins, is dying. Governments, regulators, and centralized exchanges are doing their best to harm the spread and development of privacy coins. I believe that apart from Monero, which has managed to form a large user base, no coins will survive long. You can also forget about new projects of privacy coins, they won't take their niche on the market in such conditions, because they are not welcomed on large trading platforms. The destiny of privacy coins is to hide in darknet and be used to pay for dubious services and goods.

2150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Terra still pumping !?! on: October 22, 2022, 08:31:29 PM
Terra, as the biggest scam of 2022, is still popular because the project attracts so many speculators, counting on big profits due to the fact that the coin collapsed badly and is now gradually being burned, leveling the supply. Also interest in the coin is fueled by the constant news about the Do Kwon investigation and his escape from the authorities and Interpol. In any case, long-term this project is definitely not worth considering, as sooner or later this story will end, as McCaffey's escape ended in its time.
2151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: October 21, 2022, 10:29:24 PM
Many investors simply do not analyze new projects enough and lose money, and then they tell you that you should not invest in new projects. A new project should have a large community in social networks, there should be constant updates. Need to watch the roadmap and releases of the project, whether they coincide with the date on the roadmap. You need to look at who the investor is and what the tokenomics of the project is. You need to look at where the project is presented, on which exchanges. You need to look at the project team, whether it is anonymous, what projects have been engaged in the past, etc.

All this, in general, gives us an idea about investment attractiveness of the project, but most do not study anything of this, but just see how some influencer in social networks talks about how this coin is cool and it is necessary to buy it.
after bitcoin scored ATH last year crypto became a trend in several social media and some countries and attracted some new investors to start investing in crypto without knowing how to see new projects that have good opportunities for the future as you mentioned.
and these new investors may only see from the history of soaring prices of memecoins such as doge coin which has been trending on twitter and some new investors try to find new projects like dogecoin and start investing without good knowledge. so they get a new project which ends up being a scam

It started in 2017, when cryptocurrencies became widely known. It was the beginning of various scams, with people investing in everything, thinking that it would bring profit in the same way bitcoin brought profit to its investors. Then it became clear that a good choice of coin to invest in comes only after a series of failures and losing money on various shitcoins. People are very often subject to noise in the space when it comes to making money. This noise most often comes from scammers or manipulators.
2152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gala potential? on: October 21, 2022, 09:49:18 PM
The project performed well last year, but buying at 30 cents was a huge mistake for several reasons. 30 cents is only 60% loss of value, new altcoins very often fall to 90-98% of their last ATH. This is exactly the beginning of the redemption of the bottom of the coin. Usually in such ranges the coin goes into a long flat and accumulates, and then the growth starts. Never buy altcoins in a bear market that are down only 50-80% of their tops. They are bound to fall even lower.
2153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: October 21, 2022, 09:16:47 PM
When the Bitcoin market fell, altcoins experienced a very deep fall, which was very natural, because actually Altcoins always follow Bitcoin developments, so some of the altcoin assets that we hold will get a very large decline in value, so if we get something like that then the thing we to do is continue to monitor developments that occur in the token project whether the team and developers are still optimistic and continue to improve the quality of their products so that when the token rate is below we can buy it back to add to our portfolio.

It's a reasonable decision. Only most people do the opposite for some reason: they sell when the price falls lower and lower. Heavenly conditions for coin buyers who buy back all this panic sale. Although you can't ignore the fact that not all coins need to be bought back even if they've lost 99% of their value, because during a bear market many coins never rise again, but simply go to the dustbin of history. The same goes for most NFT pictures, which appear on the market with enviable regularity.
2154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most of the Tokens are traded on small Exchanges, Is it Good or Scam on: October 21, 2022, 09:12:11 PM
Most new tokens are added to DEX exchanges like pancakeswap. This is because the new coins have almost no capitalization, there is no community support and you don't need to register anything to list them, you can remain anonymous. A handy recipe for the creators of various shitcoins. That's why when you see that a coin is presented only on such DEX and it is not on cryptocurrency monitoring sites like coinmarketcap, then such coin can be easily sent to trashcan.
2155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BSV the end. on: October 21, 2022, 09:08:10 PM
Another attempt to attract the crypto community to this scam. Even without this article, it became clear a long time ago that any bitcoin fork turned out to be worthless and there is no point in using it. If the market doesn't see another shitcoin, the market will breathe a sigh of relief. Who wants to mess with a coin whose creator is completely steeped in lies?
2156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is due for a big break on: October 18, 2022, 09:49:09 PM
Anything can go wrong, even for bitcoin, because this is a crypto market and anything is possible here, even the most unlikely scenarios. Litecoin is one of those coins that has a rich history and good growth dynamics. For classical investor this asset fits perfectly, because it has already proved itself as the most reliable and as growing over time. I try to buy LTC at drawdowns like BTC and ETH, as I think that Litecoin will be worth $500 in next 5 years and it has less chance of scam than 99.99% of altcoins.
2157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Wallet for Storing Altcoins? on: October 18, 2022, 09:05:57 PM
Anyone who trade altcoins can explain this?

A better and safer option than cold wallet + metamask has not yet been invented, especially this combination is supported by most networks, DEX exchanges, etc. This is a universal solution and the most secure. I don't understand those who neglect cold wallet when interacting with different services and use only browser or mobile wallets.

Keep all valuable NFT and altcoins in cold wallet, use metamask in browser to swap and exchange small transactions. If you want to sign messages to access some seris, exchanges, etc, you can also use a separate wallet in the same metamask for that. Although there are coins and wallets without EVM-compatibility, but if such blockchains are used, it is better to use their official wallets, not wallets like Trust Wallet, Atomic wallet, etc.
2158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to stake stablecoins with insurance? on: October 18, 2022, 08:48:12 PM
What is the safest place to stake stablecoins with nice yield?
Any suggestion for insurance against smart contract failure, hack, etc...?

The safest place for stablecoin staking and good profitability through stablecoin staking are 2 different services. Don't try to find it all in one service, where everything will be better than others. They do not exist. If it's reliable and stable stablecoins staking pools you're looking for, then you need to go to Curve. They don't have the highest interest rates, but at least their pools specialize in stablecoins and there's always good liquidity. They had some security problems this year, but it wasn't about the pools themselves and the vulnerabilities in the smart contract.
2159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How's buying OBT on: October 18, 2022, 08:22:23 PM
If we are talking about a BNB network token, it can be bought on decentralized exchanges, such as PancakeSwap. It is traded there at 14 cents per token.

You can check out the details here.

There's a post on Twitter with a link to buy tokens directly from the Oobit site.
2160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quant - thoughts? on: October 18, 2022, 07:44:58 PM
Are you referring to QNT token on Ethereum blockchain? This is a good project that started back in 2018. Investing in it has always been attractive, even this year. But not now. Right now, buying an overbought token at $180 is too risky and expensive because it's unclear how this year will end for the crypto market. But the $50 in June this year was a good entry point for investors of all types, as that investment has already made good money. I think the project has a good chance of renewing ATH in the next bull run, but we need to look for a good long term buying point.
